Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

I was traveling with a recent wrist fracture and I was lucky I had an empty seat next to me that allowed me to move my arm a lot to avoid swelling."

It took at least 30 minutes to get off the plane and then getting through customs was a nightmare. Arrival board at O'Hare said plane was on time, but listed gate as 0, which of course doesn't exist so our ride home had no idea what was going on or what was taking so long and ended up waiting over three hours for us to get through everything to meet them."
Pros: "The shorter flight to Zurich was on a smaller plane than the overseas one, but I'm not sure what model. It seemed about average for comfort; overhead bins held my backpack easily, while I find many older planes do not. Coffee or soda was free, everything else was for sale. Attendants on this flight were very busy and very friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. My check-through luggage arrived intact. Overall a good experience on a two-hour journey. Plane arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule, which is always a plus."

I wasn't seriously hurt but what really upsets me is that the other person wasn't even reprimanded. Also, that suitcase was way too heavy and I'm surprised this person was allowed to board the plane with it. Also, boarding was horrible and the flight was late. I will never forget this experience and would avoid flying with Finnair ever again! This was really the worst flight I have ever experienced!"

The long lineups for Customs & Immigration actually caused me to miss my next flight, even though the Frankfurt flight was early and I had over 90 minutes between flights. Several passengers were expressing concerns about missing their connection, but the staff just shrugged and made everybody wait in line without even trying to organize matters. I spent well over an hour waiting for my passport to be stamped and when I finally got through and tried to locate my suitcase (which was MIA), my next flight was closed. At least my suitcase will be delivered to our home, which is a slight relief."

At the end of a long flight, that is especially aggravating. That was exacerbated on this flight by incompetent United ground crew. The plane could only taxi to a position in front of the gate and we had to wait for a truck to pull it into final position. We waited for 15 minutes! Inexcusable and maddening after the long wait to get the gate in the first place."

This is the first time I have used Lufthansa since 1992. Based on the flights over and back, I believe we will start using it again."

Was looking forward to experiencing Austrian Airlines, and upon check-in was pointed to the fine print on my booking: "Flight provided by United Airlines." Was hoping for a flight like the one we took on Turkish Airways a couple years ago -- a very high standard. But couldn't even get comfortable in the seats. The entertainment screen was very difficult to use; if there had been more options I probably wouldn't have been able to get to them anyway. Could barely reach above-seat vents, even when standing. All this was made worse when we had to walk through the First Class section when boarding and deplaning. The disparity between the comfort they experienced and the minimum standards in economy felt like Austrian Airlines/United were rubbing it in our faces that we didn't want to spend more on travel."

Spent much of the flight feeling sick, being physically sick, feeling ill and not being able to think about anything else. After reading the Curry container cover, it did say the dish contained nuts. But the flight staff, I think, should have communicated this. Also who puts a dish with nuts in it on a plane, with all the allergies that passengers could have? I was not going to die from the experience, but some people are more allergic than I am. I think this choice of menu was very inappropriate."

During the flight, the staff made sure that economy felt the economy - no smiles, no please or thank you - deffinitely not paying first class with that kind of staff aboard. On top of that, my luggage arrived 12hrs later on another flight and I was not even offered a chocolate bar... I can see why the tickets were the cheapest ones, I just didn't expect it to get as far as not delivering the luggage with the passenger."

The ticket you sold me indicated Lufthansa, and my check in reminder the day before was for them. But they didn't know me from Adam. It finally emerged that the flight was actually run by United --and at Heathrow I had to hurry over from the Lufthansa to the United counter to check in --almost was late for my flight! Not nice. Could you please iron this issue out more clearly in the future."

Most of the crew was rude and vary hard to understand and their English was not very good and my German is not very good so it was difficult to communicate. The seats have very little padding and zero lumbar support, thank goodness they give you a mini pillow otherwise my back would have been so bad I wouldn't have been able to walk! I would NOT recommend Condor and will never fly them again!"

They have zero customer service and don't seem to care about the customers at all."

So the boy behind me played kick my seat for 3 hours while his mother who sat across from me found it funny!! Considering I am a black woman and the only black person on this flight I did not want to end up dead or brutally injured if I spoke up to the flight attendant again about this young boys behavior!!! I have flown Condor several times and usually enjoy flying with condor/ Thomas Cook!! But this was one of the worse flights yet!!"

I noted this in my review and was dreading the 10.5 hour return flight. I was pleasantly surprised to find a roomier seating arrangement with 2seats/aisle/3seats/aisle/2seats with larger seats and a bit more legroom. The service as before was attentive and efficient."

They also offered to check in additional carry on items for no cost. On board crew members were amazing, friendly, efficient, vet pleasant experience overall."

I did not even have a chance to look at the entertainment offers, just listened to music from their library which appeared to be well sized. Food (dinner and breakfast) were average, definitely can't keep up oth other major airlines. There was no "chicken/meat or pasta" option, they only served pasta with marinera sauce for everyone in economy class which was so so....., however, I personally don't judge Airlines on their food, I could not care less and I am not looking for fancy food. Service quality, friendiyness of the crew, safety, airplane statue and reliability are my main points and I definitely think Condor scored great in those categories. I saw there was an option to preorder food choices / wishes prior to departure. I wish they used recyclable dishes (e.g. Like Lufthansa) to minimize trash."

Cons: "I booked this flight with some skepticism about this airline as I'd never heard of Condor/Thomas Cook, but decided to roll the dice as it was one of only 2 daily direct flights to Europe from Austin, TX. The first indication things weren't going well was during check-in: I was safely there more than 2 hrs ahead of the flight's scheduled departure and the line was nearly out the door. Not enough agents, or not fast enough. Then the worst part: we left over an hour after scheduled departure. The main reason we were late, (and ended up missing our connection in Frankfurt), was penny pinching cheapness at every turn. General boarding, (they don't have any groups besides, 'special needs', 'those with infants/small children' and 'first class passengers'), wasn't even called until 1/2 hr after the scheduled departure. We left over a full hour late from Austin and they didn't make up much time in the air. One thing this airline clearly does, to bring the customer low fares, is cut corners at every chance. That seeemd to include using the required extra fuel to pick up the speed and make up the time from their late departure. Another annoying thing they did to save money was avoid gate fees by parking the plane way out in the middle of nowhere and bussing all the passengers like cattle to every flight. In Austin, this option wasn't available to them, hence their late departure - likely caused by the fact that they couldn't be at the gate when they needed to be, because it had just been in use or there wasn't a ramp available - I don't know, but I'd bet it had to do with trying to save airport fees. I do know that in Frankfurt it felt like they bussed us halfway to Munich to board the airplane, (a 2-3-2 seating setup, btw. I don't remember the equipment). All this ineptitude and trying to save a nickel ended up causing me and my group to miss our connection in Frankfurt. We were traveling on business and it was crucial we made our connection to be on time to our final destination. If you have anything important to do when you arrive at the end of your trip, if you're traveling with this Thomas Cook brand, Condor, make sure you depart a day earlier than you think you need to depart. In my experience, they won't get you there on time. This brings me to their partner airlines, who were legit, real airlines, but didn't have anything to do with Condor/Thomas Cook, and therefore were not there to be helpful at any level beside the basic service they needed to provide a passenger who they viewed as missing their flight. I saw no Condor presence at the Frankfort airport. I doubt they have help/service desks in all the airports they serve. Lufthansa on the way there and SAS on the way back, were their partner airlines. Being late wasn't an option for me and my associates, but neither was traveling the day before to give an extra-extra day ahead to be safe. In my experience, don't count on this airline."
