Pros: "Almost 3 hours of delayed"
Pros: "Crew was the best I have had in 2019 on Delta, the only good crew."
Cons: "Everything at the Atlanta Airport. From the airport and staff itself to those working for Delta Airlines. It has been so bad, that I am thinking of flying with American Airlines again and avoiding the Atlanta Airport all together. Absolutely the worst airport in the country, Delta not much better"
Pros: "Good entertainment options."
Cons: "Only water and coffee available. Flight had been delayed over an hour."
Cons: "I paid to be in row 1 first class, when I checked in I was in the first row, then as I boarded I was told my seat changed to the back row in first class for no reason at all. I choose the 1st row for a ready and I expect to sit there! 2 flights in a row that Delta moved my seat for no reason"
Pros: "Entertaining crew"
Cons: "On time arrival (we were late)."
Pros: "I like flying Delta. Make you feel comfortable and at ease."
Pros: "Don't know yet, because I have not left Korea."
Cons: "Not happy that DELTA changed my flight again and now I arrive (6) hours later in Philly. Longer layover in Detroit is not comforting! Hoping/praying that DELTA doesn't change more on this flight going home!"
Pros: "nice crew"
Cons: "terrible seat comfort, late departure due to airline’s booking problems"
Pros: "We had a terrific trip returning home. Yes, it was crowded but everything was organized and all went well."
Cons: "Airplanes should board back to front. Then people don’t have to get bumped as later passenger try to carry 2 items onto a packed plane."
Pros: "We left early"
Pros: "Flight was safe, smooth & fast."
Pros: "Pilot was courteous, pleasant and kept us informed of flight status."
Cons: "Seats have no leg room!!!"
Pros: "It was too cold on the flight. I asked for a blanket and luckily the stewardess had one. However, before giving it to me, she told me it was the only one on the flight!"
Pros: "Smooth , fast, comfortable"
Pros: "What I liked was getting to my house."
Cons: "The air-conditioning was extremely cold; on the positive side, I was given a blanket. The plane did not have any kind of tv screen in which to watch films or programs. Space was unbelievably tight between seats and rows; I cannot imagine a horizontally or vertically big person having any level of comfort. In general, the service was quite poor, making me wonder how does Delta treat the flight attendants, for they seemed tired and careless. The above did not happen in any of my other flights: Atlanta-Guadalajara, Guadalajara-CDMX, CDMX-Atlanta."
Pros: "Everything, smooth flight with an entertaining crew."
Pros: "The exit row seats reclined."
Cons: "USB charging didn't appear to work. No meal service. Very brief lay over. This is bad because a 6A flight from RNO to SLC with a <50m layover and then a SLC to PHL flight means that you do not get any food until 11P when landing in PHL."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "No entertainment on flight. No smoking in Minneapolis airport"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly, the flight fast and calm."
Cons: "Nothing that can be done, just tough being 6'5" in a connection plane."
Pros: "Made it out of Detroit that same day! Friendly flight attendants!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed. And then cancelled. We were booked into a later flight 8 hours later that was also delayed again due to weather but we did make it out of Detroit that night. Other people were not as lucky."
Pros: "They have great and friend staff."
Cons: "Delta treats any passenger that isn't a member of their skymiles or anyone that doesn't purchase a seat in advance like peasants. You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."
Cons: "my flight from JFK to Cancun had entertainment (TV, movie screen, headphones, etc). This one did not. Was kinda disappointed."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable"
Pros: "Airport is clean and easy to to use. TSA easy to go through. No lines. Boarding was easy with no issues. On-time"
Cons: "If flight is full all the time get a bigger plane"
Cons: "NO ENTERTAINMENT no snacks on the second flight after an hr 24 layover AND 52 minutes delay, seat near the bathroom which smelled horrible"
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Every flight was delayed"
Cons: "All "carry-ons" were taken at the jetway, which was fine. But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"
Pros: "Our plane had mechanical issue with a parking brake which they left us know about once we loaded the plane. Unfortunately it was going to take to long so they switched us to another plane."
Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."
Cons: "All the people I encountered who worked for delta were rude. I understand having a bad day, but everyone on two flights and 3 airports? Ive never seen a group of people be so unhappy about having a job. Will not fly delta again."
Pros: "The attendants"
Cons: "The delay and no free wifi."
Pros: "We always fly Delta out of Augusta, GA, our local airport. The check -in is a breeze and the folks are friendly. Delta has a number of flights out of there and overall it's the easiest and most economical for International flights. Your checked luggage goes straight through without the huge airport hassle!"
Pros: "Tail winds provided an early arrival. When my flight was rebooked due to a delay on my first booking I was upgraded to Permium booking and drinks were complementary on the flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia."
Cons: "Seat was supposed to be assigned at gate. Had even called Delta to make sure that I would have a seat but when I got to the AP I was told they were oversold and I could not get on the flight. Missed my connection and had to take later flights. Wasted a whole day."
Cons: "Super loud. Couldn't talk to anyone without shouting. No view out the window, as the engine was about 5 inches outside the glass. Not sure why there even were windows for these seats, as they probably just let in more sound. Also right next to the bathroom, so frequently smelled bad."
Cons: "They didn't even get me to Philadelphia they delayed the flight for 6 hours then cancelled it offered to rebook me the next day and $15 compensation when i declined. $15 for pretty much ruining my Christmas nice job delta never again"
"Crew was great plane was small and uncomfortable"
"Lost luggage as usual"
"I booked this reservation 2mo in advance with 2 lap babies. When i called to add the babies they never told me about the lap baby rule. If I would have known i would have bought my toddler her own seat no problem. They moved my seats far from each other. My babies need to sit near their mom it was a redeye. At check in the manager did us a “favor” and moved us to adjacent aisle seats… in the last row. Those seats don't recline and the constant people, flushing and talking woke the babies up all night. No one slept. The main attendant couldn’t be bothered and had a, get over it bad attitude. Oh did i mention i had a dog at my feet also?? Every time they were woken up by the bathroom (constantly) my babies would cry for their mommy and i could only hold on at a time. adjacent seats from mommy is not comforting . Why on earth would we be moved to those seats?! I know why. We were discriminated against for having babies. “Put the babies in the back.” I was a 4x a year flyer at minimum. We will NEVER fly with AA again and i will be filing a complaint. You should be ashamed of your treatment of a family and young children."
"I just for my TSA. So security line is short and upgraded to one group up. I do think the ground crew should learn new way of boarding - the passengers sitting in higher number seat should board first to prevent traffic jam."
Pros: "Check-in started a bit late due to late arriving incoming flight but the crew at the gate as well as in the plane did their best to speed the process. Flight was smooth, lande ontime despite taking off nearly 20 minutes late. Captain kept us informed when, through no fault of American Airlines there was a delay at the gate. Overall well done in these trying times."
Cons: "It will be nice when things are back to normal and actual food is served on flights of 4 or more hours duration."
Pros: "A very new Eagle plane. AA staff was good about updating us re: departure delays. Waited to inform us of gate valet plans until the last minute."
Cons: "BTV Airport is very small so prepare to be in crowded waiting areas."
Pros: "The crew was awesome. At one point the attendant said the sky didn’t have its morning coffee (because of turbulence) and it was really cute and really funny and just made me laugh through the stress of turbulence."
Cons: "Nothing! it was great! I was especially impressed with the crew’s politeness."
Pros: "On time/ early arrival Careful about cleaning"
Pros: "not much; very crowded; feel bad for the crew too;"
Cons: "put more flights and give people some room; or put less seats; over booking and over crowded flights are not fun. basically, i am expecting some improvement either from you or from other companies"
Cons: "Flight delayed. We almost missed our connection. Bags were lost No food or alcohol for first class. Pathetic."
Pros: "Very friendly crew."
Cons: "Have the pilots come to fly the plane on time"
Pros: "The Captain was courteous and the flight itself was good."
Cons: "There was a barking dog on the flight that was very high pitched. The stewardess was not polite, kept repeating herself and her voice was like the teacher you never wanted to have. The WiFi did not work. We had to wait for a gate approximately 30 minutes when we reached DFW."
Pros: "The crew seemed to make the best of their situation"
Cons: "The airplane was old and very cramped. Needs to be replaced with a more appropriate plane."
Cons: "Flight was rerouted to another airport due to poor weather at Philly. 3 hours later we arrived at Philly, but I missed my connecting flight."
Cons: "Staff gave us a hard time with our 15 month old sons luggage. Almost missed our flight as a result"
Pros: "Quick Flight and nice crew."
Cons: "The crew wasn't the problem at all. Some of the passengers were just being obnoxious and sitting next to their friends not what their seat numbers were. The BIGGEST problem are the packed planes with no social distance between passengers which is a HUGE concern for me."
Pros: "After the GSO - PHL flight, I mistakenly boarded a flight to Portland Maine PWM. Why didn’t the gate attendant catch this error?"
Cons: "Attention to detail by both the gate agent and myself."
Pros: "Ground crew was great, they kept us informed about our 3 hrs delay"
Cons: "Get a crew in in less than 3hrs Some people has plans"
Cons: "The plane was completely packed despite the COVID pandemic. A stranger sat next to me on the plane (distance of about 6 inches, not 6 feet). What social distancing? And yet they conveniently said no food/drink beverage for safety reasons. Good way for the airline to save a few bucks. Other airlines (like JetBlue) block out adjacent sears and give snacks in individual bags but this... I flew several times since the pandemic began and this was by far the worst. What a joke of an airline. Never flying them again"
Pros: "Fast transportation and great seat"
Cons: "The air hostess were rude."
Cons: "Hard landing on arrival in Philadelphia."
Pros: "The crew was great! Very accommodating"
Cons: "Better control and seating of families with little kids."
Pros: "It was quick."
Cons: "The plane could have arrived on time, made sure everything worked fine, and got me to my destination like they said they were going to... instead, stand by for a different flight was not what I paid for... but it is what I got."
Pros: "The employees were as good as they could be, given the atrocious handling of the situation by American Airlines and its policies."
Cons: "We were 1.5 hours late leaving for an unknown reason (not weather). Then, it appeared that we didn't try and make up the lost time in the air (we also landed 1.5 hours late.) This caused a significant proportion of the passengers to miss their connecting flights. American didn't do anything to help other than offer a "discount" of about $10 off of over $100/night hotel rooms in the Philadelphia area to sleep overnight in Philadelphia. This was absolutely lousy customer service by American, and will definitely make me avoid American Airlines in the future."
Pros: "on time departure offered a beverage and snack"
Cons: "we had to circle phila we had to wait for our gate"
Cons: "The agent who informed us that our bags were delayed waited until no more bags came out before she tried to locate us. She had our names and waited until we approached her before speaking with us and getting the information. It has now been 24 hours and no one has contacted us yet. My sister and I were travelling together. She lives in Virginia and needs to get back to work. The website is not helpful. The phone is problematic. Earlier today your system was down and your agent told me to call back. Now no one picks up the phone. I have been on hold for 15 minutes. This was British airways."
Pros: "One of the few non-stop flights between Seattle and Philadelphia. Timing is perfect if you can sleep on a red-eye flight. Fairly empty flight. enough empty seats to move and stretch out."
Cons: "No entertainment center built-in to the seats. On board WiFi can be used to access movies and other entertainment on the your own device but make sure your battery is charged and you have an external battery also since the seats don't have power. I tried to sleep but it is not easy for me to fall sleep when the seat back reclines only 3 inches so I didn't have luck taking a nap. Conclusion: I am not taking this flight any more. I will go back to taking will switch back to flying Delta even though there are no direct flights."
Pros: "I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid."
Cons: "On top of that, one of the flight attendants on the Philadelphia to Lisbon run was a hella snarky guy with a bad attitude all the way through. I would be surprised if I am the first person to complain about him."
Pros: "I got upgraded to 1st class on my 2nd leg, so of course that was nice. No wifi, though."
Cons: "1) The handlers weren't at the gate to bring the gate to the plane so we could disembark. 2) After that, the door into the PHL airport itself was locked, and we had to wait almost 5 minutes for someone to come and unlock it. 3) One would think those delays would have given our baggage plenty of time to be unloaded, but no... First all the baggage from another flight emptied onto the baggage carousel, and then maybe 15 minutes or so later our bags began to dribble out. Our plane got to the gate a little past 9pm, I barely made it out of the airport by 10pm. It just shouldn't take that long."
Pros: "Efforts to get us to Philadelphia"
Cons: "Got to Philly - no one there - rushed 2 concourses and plane still there with daughter on-board. They gave away our seats, told us we would not get on, would not get our baggage and would not get put up in a hotel. Because of the NBA draft - had to travel 60 miles to New Jersey for a hotel. Lost a day, lost 2 tours, endured additional hotel costs...and the attendant made it clear she was on overtime and we just needed to move on. American Airlines is too big and consolidation of airlines has not been good for the public."
Cons: "The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."
Pros: "AA got me home safe."
Cons: "Entertainment was nonexistant. Most movies were unavailable and those that were would start and then say “no longer available” monitor did not work. I was not the only passenger with issues. Many could not get system to work. Antiquated and/or poorly maintained. Also, announcement made it seem as if you had to pay for wine/beer/spirits. I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)"
Pros: "The plane and crew were good."
Cons: "The adult movie selection was not interesting. I ended up watching a children's Disney movie that proved to be more entertaining. What caused my discomfort during the flight was not due to British Airways or American Airlines, but rather was a problem at the Frankfurt terminal. I could not take a bottle of water thru the security check and there was no water fountain after the security check. I have a lot of food sensitivities and cannot drink bottled water. It was only at the end of the flight when I was desperate for water that I discovered I could get some tap water from a flight attendant."
Pros: "The in flight staff was very friendly"
Cons: "Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("
Cons: "The staff member at the gate counter in Philly was very short and rude. She asked for people volunteer to check their carry-on bags and when I took mine up she was very curt. She asked me for my seat number (I didn't hear her) and her tone got worse. A woman who did not speak English need assistance and was turned away by this person with s shrug. The Latina finally stood in the middle of the gate area asking for help from anyone who could speak English. I just spent 18 days I Madrid and never once was rejected when I asked for assistance. I was not happy with your employee and I was ashamed to hear an American treat someone that way. In the employee's defense, she was alone at the dest up until boarding time and was juggling a lot of balls without any other support. Not a good experience."
Cons: "We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."
Cons: "American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly! The airlines took my family of 6 off the flight that I booked 6 months in advance, and I had no flight out of Munich, Germany. I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee."
Cons: "I booked in August with your company for a trip in December. I booked out of Pittsburgh to Philly both directions to avoid Chicago. I picked seats and also chose British Airways. What I got was my trip to Philly to Manchester with middle of the middle seats (I PAID FOR AISLE). On the way back we got a change through Chicago (which I tried to avoid by booking in August). We did get the proper seats, fortunately. I will never book with your company again. So dissatisfied ....I booked so early and to no advantage."
Cons: "We arrived in Amsterdam at 9am, after traveling two hours to get there. We found out right away that there was a delay and chances of missing the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Orlando were great. We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."
Pros: "Because this flight was NOT full, my wife and I had the entire center section to stretch out. This made our 7.5 hour flight amazingly comfortable. The Airbus A300 was a reasonably new aircraft. Everything was clean and looked good. The food was exceptionally good. My wife and I both commented on how good the food was (my wife stated, "it was the best airplane food ever"). The main meal, the hotbox snack, and the late in flight chocolate ice cream were ALL good. The staff were great, friendly, service oriented, nice people."
Cons: "Navigating through Heathrow"
Cons: "We booked a BA flight from Pittsburgh to Glasgow, through Philadelphia. We intentionally chose BA because we anticipated good service. We later learned that the flight was serviced by American. Our original flight was delayed one day because we missed our connection due to weather on the East Coast (after six hours at the airport). American re-ticketed us for a flight the next day. After several misstarts in Pittsburgh, we arrived in Philadelphia with minutes to spare. After running to the gate, we were then greeted with what turned out to be a four hour delay. Then, upon return, we learned that our seat selections/priority boardings were all deleted because of the re-ticketing on the on the flight out, and we spent hours on the phone and at the airport trying to get things sorted out and ensure that we had a return flight. One of the worst trips ever in my experience."
Pros: "Liked all the little amenities - actual meals, USB plugs for charging, free movies and games to entertain my kids, enough leg room that I can bend down and get stuff from my bag under the seat and that I could lean back a little without causing the person behind me to need knee surgery, tilt feature on screens to make video viewing easier when the person ahead of you tips their seat back. Seats were wide enough that I didn't fear jabbing my neighbor in the ribs every time I moved. Ice Cream!"
Cons: "Cancelled flight. Booked on another 2.5 hrs later. Seating not until the last moment. No human touches... all mechanical / perfunctory."
Pros: "The options for entertainment were great."
Cons: "The space and seats were uncomfortable. I received errors when trying to access gogoinflight on my tablet, even when I had the most updated app. Therefore I was unable to use the app during my flight to Philadelphia. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane. So we waited in the plane for the whole hour and half while a maintenance issue was being resolved. The delay almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport kiosks, service desks, and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive."
Pros: "The Ticket agent was very helpful and friendly. The air crew and Flight Attendants were very nice and helpful. The wheel chair attendant who initially took me to my gate in Las Vegas was very friendly, and helpful, and she did everything she could possibly have done, short of leaving another passenger to come take care of me, which wouldn't have been right. I was there when she called her supervisor and advised him/her of my location and of my needs and she received confirmation. Was not her fault."
Cons: "I checked in with American and a wheel chair attendant assisted me to my gate. My wheel chair needed charged and I was two hours early, so the attendant sat me at the charging station because there were no outlets in the gate area. She contacted her supervisor to advise of my location and that I would need assistance. Nobody came for me. I gathered my things the best I could and struggled to get to the gate to get attitude from the gate agent, telling me the wheel chair attendant was there looking for me. What ever happen to using a paging system when you know the passenger who is disabled checked in two hours earlier? Had someone paged, maybe I could have flagged their attention, or maybe they could have called the company in charge of handling their wheel chair attendance and would have known where I could be located. Either way, the attitude is uncalled for, especially when I apologized and stated that the wheel chair attendant was expected to help me."
Cons: "Had 2 plane tickets to Puerto Rico for my mom funeral But all the sudden my dad passed away one week before the date Iso a have to change the date They did charge me $200 and the other ticket was for my friend was my support he couldn't go cause he's job So I call and they said yes that they gonna help me with the refund all I need is a dead certificate so I send it the papers by email Now they telling me that they can't gave me the refund All my brothers and sisters didn't have no problem with South west air line and other airlines they understood the problem And they did everything without problems Worst service ever Not flying with them ever again"
Pros: "Price. That's it."
Cons: "We sat in Orlando waiting to take off - delayed for OVER 30 minutes because ---> the catering truck failed to show up. The captain aired his frustration of the catering crew. Supposed to arrive in Philly approximately 2:24pm - we didn't arrive until 3:03pm. Baggage took another 20-30 minutes. All American emoloyees looked tired. Not one smile either to Orlando or from Orlando. (Oh yeah - we were late taking off to start my vacation from Philly because a crew failed to arrive to "start the engines of the aircraft," per captain's announcement. The entire aircraft boarded and sat, again, for 30 minutes without any air conditioning or air flow in the cabin.) Blah experience. Blah employees. And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone.""
"Staff was great , plane interior was poor. The seat pocket in front of my seat was unusable and the seat pocket in front of my husbands seat had a bar sticking out of it and was ripped. Overall the entire cabin looked worn and dirty."
"Very clean flight. The attendants were very helpful and patient!"
Pros: "Easy boarding process and the flight was almost 30 minutes early"
Cons: "the wifi kept kicking me off while I was watching their in flight entertainment"
Cons: "Kept getting delayed"
Pros: "Crew was terrific. The seats were so comfortable. There was great aisle space to where I wasn’t getting bumped by passerby passengers."
Cons: "WiFi was down but we were on time. I’d prefer no WiFi over a delay for it to be fixed so nothing really much."
Cons: "Overall good thanks"
Cons: "Delayed on tarmac 20mins in Chicago, then delayed getting to the get in Philly, bags took 40 mins to get to carousel"
Pros: "I typically have a way better experience with United than I do with the cheaper airlines (such as Frontier & Spirit.) I like that I can check a bag for free when I book with my mileage credit card and that I can carry on a bag without hidden fees."
Pros: "Crew was nice, boarding okay speed."
Cons: "The plane was in poor repair. Seats were frayed, overhead panels were bent or broken on the ceiling, floor dirty, air not working... Old planes can still be old AND well kept. I was told I could have a carry-on, but at the gate, I was told that all bags would need to be checked. My "carry-on," which met criteria, came back bent AF with items missing."
Cons: "Luggage took 30 minutes to get to pickup and it was covered in vinegar. The snacks on the ride really stink. A little bag of pretzels. Boarding and I boarding took forever"
Pros: "The crew service in the airplane, it was clean and the were very nice."
Cons: "The service in the gate, I tried to explained her that when the plane land in Washington My connection will be already boarding and she didn't do anything to help. I asked her to check my bags complimentary so I could be able to run and she said no."
Pros: "Flight was on time. Everything went smooth for being in coach."
Cons: "Took forever to get off the plane because there was some problem with the baggage that was holding up all the planes. Not the airline’s fault, rather the airport."
Pros: "There were some great employees but unfortunately one of the team didn't share their personality"
Cons: "There was one employee or steward who just didn't seem to want to be there did his job but compared to the others was not on the same page of the team"
Cons: "Tight seats, seat belt uncomfortable"
Cons: "Delayed departure and several gate changes"
Pros: "The flight attendant used my name. Great landing."
Cons: "Tar mat loading. In flight service."
Pros: "Our flight attendants were the best!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed but we didn't find out until we all boarded and then we all had to get off and re board about 15 minutes later. Some missed connecting flights. Seems like they need to work on communication."
Pros: "Associates were nice and knowledgeable. The airplanes were comfortable. Love the onetime performance of scheduling."
Cons: "Unite Airline performance wasn't the good. Also, there was nobody in Chicago to help us with the transferring process."
Pros: "The fact that we got there safely."
Cons: "Took them 90 minutes to fix a seat belt because they kept bringing the wrong part. They got it right the third try. The cabin crew sat in the back and chatted for an hour while we sat at gate. Not even a glass of water offered. Then we were diverted to Pittsburg because of weather and sat for an hour. Again no water offered. So on 5 plus hour flight crew went around once. The final straw was they blamed weather for the delay when in fact it was not being able to find the correct seat belt in due time."
Pros: "There was a delay due to thunderstorms and the female pilot handled it extremely well"
Cons: "Flight was delayed Before we boarded but then once we boarded we Sat for another hour."
Pros: "I enjoy flying, despite the security checks, secondary security checks, the general lax nature of TSA agents who care not when your flight is leaving or how inconvenient it is to have to unpack your entire bag to show them a bar of soap is not, in fact, a plastic explosive. I do like to fly, but it seems to be increasingly difficult to adhere to the rules properly."
Cons: "I was in line to board with group 4 and the woman in front of me had a large duffle bag, a purse, and 3 small grocery bags. The gate agent let her through, but told her to consolidate her bags. I had one carry on and one purse and was forced to gate check my bag, only to find out I would have to go to baggage claim to pick it up. If the woman in front of me was forced to adhere to the rules, I would likely have fit my bag into an overhead. UNFAIR."
Cons: "Flight never happened. American Airlines saved the day. It seems to me, the issues with United are deeper than we ever thought. I was highly disappointed with their inability to rectify the situation."
Cons: "I'm 6"1 and there's no leg room for at all!"
Pros: "Rude boarding employee- Rude in general on phone with United Got to my confirmation code after having to change my flight and we got disconnected- didn't call me back when he had my number. Lost the connection"
Pros: "We got home! After canceled flights on other airlines, United got us home safely. There were delays and turbulence, but we all landed safely."
Pros: "Crew attempted to make a "backup" booking due to the delay in my connection to Newark. I had a 12:45 flight that was delayed. We departed at 1:45. I was booked on the 4:51 connection to Detroit and 8:58 as a backup."
Cons: "Due to the change in my reservation, my luggage was not loaded on my flight. I am still waiting for my belongings."
Cons: "Lost bags and unable to have bags delivered as instructed. Unprofessional driver and still no resolution for receiving lost item."
Pros: "Staff was very kind and genuine"
Cons: "the plane was absolutely freezing cold!"
Cons: "4 hour delay, no power in basic economy only power if you upgraded to economy comfort."
Cons: "United cancelled our first flight, and would not re-book us on another flight until 24 hours later, so we ended up having to drive from Washington DC to Savannah for an event. Instead of cancelling just the first leg of our flight, they cancelled the return trip as well, and then tried to charge us the difference because we were "booking at the last minute". United really is the worst airline, and we will never fly with them again."
Cons: "Paying for baggage"
Pros: "My flight has a delay and i miss my connection to my second flight. I need to book an hotel room and that was not in my budget."
Pros: "The tailwind made it so that my 6 foot 2 inch 235 pound frame didn't have to sit in the middle seat as long."
Cons: "I paid for the insurance just in case I needed to change my flight. Well I did need to change my flight to get a few more things done before returning home. The answer I recieved when I called was that I had to pay 600 dollars for the change and then file a claim for possible reimbursement. The whole round trip flight only cost $250."
Pros: "Flihht was cancelled night before. Rep said impossoble to get him home the same day. Looking online there were flights available, just more expensive and doesnt follow their policy. Very disapointed"
Pros: "The man at the counter gave me a much better seat than I originally had. He was pleasant and very customer-friendly. I can't remember his name but he had brown hair, glasses and a mustache. I was extremely exhausted from my Las Vegas flight and it helped me greatly."
Pros: "I did like that we boarded quickly and efficiently. The attendants were very respectful and kept very quiet throughout their food and beverage service so others could sleep which was quite professional."
Cons: "I didn't like that the only guy on the flight that kept his light on the entire trip had to sit next to me. I was able to sleep regardless, and I understand that it is out of the control of the crew or myself or anyone but that guy... but that was less than desirable. Other than that, great flight."
Cons: "What food? A little snack mix. And once again, needed to get in and out with a shoe horn."
Cons: "There was a sick passenger on board. The crew spent 40 minutes trying to convince him to get off the plane. He refused and after 40 minutes, they left him on and we finally left the gate."
Pros: "We were lucky there was an empty seat on our row of three, which made it a little more comfortable."
Cons: "Some of the crew was not helpful, cramped, no food. Next time will book 1st class for a 3 hr flight. We were delayed 1 1/2 hrs due to weather in Philly, nobody's fault just inconvenient."
Cons: "United was boarding at least TWO flights out of the same gate, at the SAME time. My luggage was delayed and the United agents in philly told me it would be in at 7 pm... It was in at 7 pm two days later. They sent it to Knoxville for some reason? Will not fly United again."
Cons: "No hot food"
Pros: "Professional airline. Comfortable seating. On time. Most impressive airline I've flown with in a very long time."
Cons: "The Flight was late taking off with no explanation. We were on the plane for an hour prior to takeoff with no AC. The cabin was extremely uncomfortable."
Pros: "flight attendants were pleasant. plane was clean"
Cons: "I was stuck with commercials for direct tv, two feet from my face the whole trip. I would push the button to turn tv off but it would come back on less than five minutes latter. I had my head phones in listening to personal device but was still distracting. speaker for announcements were extremely loud. the poor lady next to me would jump and then plug her ears. question, if you are allowed one carry on and one personal bag, why do you only have space for a third of the passengers to stow said bags?"
Cons: "Had to pay for my own shuttle to the train station (an hour away) and sit on an overcrowded train for hours. Extremely disappointed. Flight was canceled do to "air traffic control." No attempt was made to put me on other carrier's flights even though there were open seats with another airline."
Pros: "Boarding was nice, and fast, but inly because I'm handicapped. Crew was pleasant."
Cons: "I didn't like having to pay $4/2hrs for internet/movies for a 3 hour flight....$8 to watch a movie on a 8" screen?? Come on! If you have it available, why isn't it free or included in $600 ticket price? I'm 6'0" tall and weigh 218lbs and I felt like a sardine in a can. Seats are WAY cramped! They probably are comfortable for a 7 year old girl...."
Pros: "Flight left OT."
Cons: "Uncomfortable slimline seats."
"Worst flight ever ! 2 hour delay for nothing couldn’t even buy a water. Ridiculous"
Cons: "Frontier “recommended we cancel” our flights in order to change a date, EVEN though they have a “flexible cancellation” and “no fees to reschedule”. In turn they canceled our flights home, provided us with a credit that wouldn’t even cover our flight, and then provided the WORST customer service I have ever been apart of. The supervisor was incredibly rude. I was provided a $140 ticket credit (less than half of what I paid) and am will probably never use it. Very disappointed"
Pros: "Execution of the boarding/ exiting process"
Cons: "A little more space"
Cons: "Separate the individuals on the flight. Many seats available in the back and yet they crammed everyone in the front side by side with the covid-19 conditions just not smart planning at all"
Pros: "Smooth flight"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 times, only gave a $50 voucher for inconvenience, which was not adequate"
Pros: "On time not crowded"
Cons: "Beverage service"
Pros: "crew was really nice and was genuinely a comfortable flight over all"
Cons: "cabin service"
Pros: "Non stop"
Cons: "A C"
Cons: "The flight was almost full. Disgusting"
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The flight was delayed, which on its face is understandable, except that it seems to be a pattern with Frontier. Whether I'm flying them myself, or picking up someone who's flying them, the last several Frontier flights I've experienced have been delayed, often repeatedly. And then there's the luggage fees . . . I booked this most recent ticket well in advance, and wasn't sure what my luggage needs would be. When I went online to add bags, I learned that adding them post booking, but pre-airport still incurred a significant cost increase - from $25 (at booking) to $38 (a week before check in). To carry one bag and check another, I had to pay nearly $80, which was more than the cost of my actual plane ticket! I'm sorry, Frontier, but I think our relationship is coming to an end . . ."
Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."
Cons: "Out flight was cancelled after you delayed it for 3 hours. At 2:00AM we finally figured out what was going on. We were stranded in the Philadelphia airport. There was very poor, if any communication. At that late hour, all hotels were booked. We were forced to stay in the airport, with no place to rest. Some passengers got pillows and blankets provided by Frontier which we repeatedly asked for, but were never provided. It was undoubtedly one of the worst experiences of our lives! We are still waiting for our full refund! 3 of us had booked round trip to Orlando, paid for special seating, paid for carry-on bags We expect a rapid response before this goes on social media"
Cons: "Frontier is now a leader in PRICE FRAUD & Extortion! They believe in Dishonest pricing & Deliberately deceiving their customers. They slapped me with an $80 fee to board my flight! Extortion!! So my $170 airfare suddenly increased in price by 47% !! This is a total scam. Worse than a bait & switch scam (which is illegal). Even the smallest tote bag with a toothbrush & overnight clothes will incur extra big fees for carry-on "luggage"... Where is the FCC & the consumer protection bureau on this?...Fees for basic carry-on items needs to be made ILLEGAL!! I'll never fly again with such a dishonest airline. Sign me up for SouthWest every time...I don't care what the price difference is, I refuse to give my money to mobsters. You blew it Frontier! Never Again."
Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and polyte. Flight was on time. that's about it"
Cons: "Seats are the most uncomfortable of any airline i have ever used. Will charge you $3 for a cup of soda on a 4 hour flight. No entertainment, no wifi. They charge you if you want to pick a seat next to your spouse. $40 for a carry-on Red eye flight, no pillows, no blankets, airpline was freezing cold. Announcements over the speakers every 40 minutes or so asking you to buy or subscribe to some service. Constant announcements , very annoying. Specially on an overnight flight when most people are trying to sleep, which is nearly imposible on those seats"
Cons: "The crew was very clumsy and on multiple occasions either elbowed me in the head as the walked passed, hit my knee with the concessions cart, etc. all with Minimal apology. I enjoy flying frontier because of the cheapness, but I this flight made me see what I was paying for. Might just have to bite the bullet and pay the extra few dollars for better service in flight. There was also a maintenance issue that delayed the flight about 15 to 20 minutes and we got little explanation as to what was happening. Lastly, i think it is absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay upwards of $45 to carry on a bag. I had to have an extra $80 added onto my trip due to this, so inconvenient and just makes me want to switch airlines completely and skip all of this hastle. Cheap doesn't always pay off."
Cons: "Frontier cancelled return flight without telling me and refusing to do anything other than refund 75$ or give me a flight 4 days later. Frontier refused to help with hotel or other accommodations and I had to rebook flight with delta for 350$ so I could get back home. Also, the employees from Frontier were extremely rude and refused to even look at me or even answer my questions. They said flight was cancelled due to weather reasons, but American Airlines was able to get planes running on only an hour delay. And, again, I never even had the common courtesy of a call or email, or text that my flight was cancelled! I had to find out when I got to the airport,"
Pros: "We never took the flight as we waited in the airport 2 hours from boarding scheduled for 8:00 p.m., as suggested, until after 2:00 in the morning, when we heard not from Frontier, but another passenger, that the flight was canceled. No flight was available until Christmas Eve, six days from the current flight, and so we spent considerably more money for all three of us to get home with another airline. I, nor any of the three of us, nor anyone we've told our story to, wishes to ever fly Frontier again. It is an event that will certainly impact our decision to fly Frontier again, without a doubt."
Cons: "No flight No announcement right away about the cancellations, nor the delays Multiple reasons for the delays No definitive answers about what was going on Multiple additional expenses on our end that we hadn't planned on. Vouchers, but weren't enough to completely compensate for hotels"
Cons: "Received email at 3:30pm that 8:15pm flight from New Orleans to Philadelphia was cancelled. Was on the way to the airport already, so didn't see the email until the lady at the desk told me it was cancelled. When I asked why, she said it was "due to weather" because it was snowy up in Philadelphia. Since they were claiming the cancellation was due to weather, they would not help arrange or pay for an alternate flight on another airline, nor cover a hotel during the time stuck there. They told us that the next flight we could take was Friday (it was Monday), which was also the day before Christmas eve. It was not snowy in Philadelphia. The plane we were supposed to be taking was arriving from Philadelphia on time. After 2hrs of being on hold and arguing with Frontier customer services, they finally admitted to my travel partner that the reason for the cancellation was actually because it would put the flight crew that they had over the legal limit of fly time without breaking/sleeping. So they lied to me completely about the reason to begin with, offered no help whatsoever to resolve the problem in a reasonable manner, and eventually admitted the real cause of the cancellation but still refused to pay for another flight. Luckily, one of my other travel companions was headed to Philadelphia via American Airlines at the same time, and had miles they were willing to let us use. Otherwise, it would have cost $2000 for the two of us to get home - or whatever it would cost to stay in a hotel for 4 nights while missing work. Never choosing them again."
Cons: "We were 5 minutes after the 45 minute cut off for checking in luggage (due to a bunch of mishaps that were obviously not planned for). The Frontier staff was rude, unsympathetic, and very accommodating. They would not work with us at all and made us rebook. They didn't have another flight for another 24 hours. We had to pay $99 a person to go on this flight. The airport was empty. They could have easily rushed our bags on to the flight. (This once happened to me on Southwest and with 28 minutes to spare they got us and our bags on the flight!) They were determined to make us feel miserable and treated us like we were children in trouble. They do not care about customer service and seem to enjoy when their customers are miserable."
Cons: "Seats don't recline- $45 charge for a carryon bag? Staff seems burned out- just going thru motions. Like it's their last job or no other airline would hire them- their doing us ( the customer ) a favor because they went to work that day- the captain seemed fine. Only came on when had to. There were no air sickness bags- the turbulence was very bad. The woman next to me barely made it to the bathroom in time- because on the the lavatories was not in use for a maintenance issue. Overall very poor experience"
Pros: "I did not like anything"
Cons: "Passengers were kept on the plane for 3hours before the captain made a decision to let the passengers off. the flight attendants were rude and lacked compassion for the passengers discomfort. Passengers were not offered any complimentary beverages or snacks to compensate for the inconvenience. Limited clarity was given concerning steps needed to board the next flight. The seats are hard, uncomfortable and do not recline. This is not my first negative experience with frontier but it will be the last."
Pros: "Nothing. If I could say that I liked something, it would be that I liked that my flight wasn't any longer than it was."
Cons: "Both planes (departure and returning) were old, dirty, and I have sat in more comfortable metal folding chairs than the chairs on these planes. Frontier charges for everything. They charge for seats that recline, charge outrageously for reclining seats with a ting bit more leg room, their beverage service is not free, only water is not charged. No snacks either. Luggage that is considered carry on at any other airline is charged at $60 at the gate and the flight attendants pander and really push passengers to apply for their credit card. Horrible all the way around and we will NEVER fly Frontier again. Ever."
Cons: "Everything. The ticket was equally expensive as any other carrier, but they charge you for carry ons which was very expensive. They also don't give you anything complimentary on the flight which I thought would've been the least that they could do after how much money I spent. I've never been on a flight where they were so cheap and didn't give anything to the passengers for their hours of being on a plane. not to mention they were very unorganized and we had an hour delay and were told to exit the plane because they could not figure out how to shut the baggage door under the plane. After people started getting off they let us know that the pilot figured out how to shut the door after trying one time. It was a complete inconvenience to everyone on the plane, and they did nothing to make it up to the exhausted passengers. I will never fly with frontier again, and all of the other passengers agreed."
Pros: "Frontier has the best crew members"
Cons: "The flight was changed from arriving on Sunday evening to a red-eye that arrived at 6 am monday morning. My husband and I would not have booked this flight if this had been the original timing. Also, the "first class" is a joke. We paid extra because of previously mentioned schedule changes hoping to get some sleep. (We both had to be at work Monday) The seats were not bigger, any more comfortable, and do not seem to have any additional leg room. The flight itself went smoothly. However, I will try to avoid taking Frontier airlines because of the delays, outrageous schedule rearrangements, and lack of comfortability."
Cons: "Never having flown with Frontier before, I had no reason to expect what happened. I found what I thought was a fairly good deal on Kayak to fly round-trip from ATL to DEN for a quick weekend with a friend. Little did l know, and certainly NOT because Kayak informed me during the booking process or anytime afterwards, that Frintier charges fees for *literally* everything. Want a soda...sure, pay $1.99. Want to choose a seat (not even a special one, just to know you won't be stuck in a middle seat)...sure, pay $13-$35 dollars per leg of trip. Want carry-on...sure, pay $40. For carry on. Really? So now my $261 deal has turned into a $367 dollar *ordeal*. Would have been better not using Kayak, and will definitely never fly Frontier again. Thanks for nothing."
Pros: "I woke up to an email 31/2 hours before my daughters flight was suppose to leave Atlanta informing me that the flight was canceled. Called customer service where the man I spoke with was unable to or unwilling to tell me anything except that "yes it looks like the flight was canceled". His suggestion was to have my sister drive my daughter an hour and a half to the airport to see if there "might" be a flight available through another airline. Frontier did not have any flights going to or near RDU that day.Since my daughter had to be in Raliegh that day I spent the next 10 hours in the car going to get her. I did receive a refund but only because I requested one, otherwise they just don't refund automatically."
Cons: "Customer service represenitives are not very informative. The flights may be slightly cheaper but you have to pay for checked baggage as well as carry on bags. When checking her in the night before and picking a seat in coach my sister had to pay a "fee" for her seat, so an additional fee of $57 dollars for one bag and a seat.... Really?"
Cons: "Although there were warnings that "fees may be applied", I could not find how much those fees would be until 24 hours before my flight when I checked in. Before that, I had actively searched for how much I would be charged for my seat and my luggage both online and on the phone. No answers. I described this process to a lawyer who said there is possibility for a large class action lawsuit. I ended up having to pay $70 in fees (and will again on my flight back home -- probably -- again, there's no way for me to find out from Frontier until I check in). I don't mind fees, but they should be transparent. I will never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "I will never fly this airline again! The tix appear significantly cheaper on kayak, so we drove 2 hours out of our way to ATL in the early morning hours thinking it was saving $$$. Only to find at check in that it cost more to bring a small carry on than to pay for it to be checked! It was a west coast flight and it didn't even include a beverage in flight!!! No snack either. Thumbs down. It was certainly NOT worth the inconvenience of driving out of the way, and we didn't save any $ after all. The staff was not that friendly, at it took 30 mins for the frontier baggage carousel to even start up to get the heck out of there. Never again. If it seems too good a deal, it is!"
Pros: "Except for my "complaint," I thought the flight was fine. People were helpful boarding the play. The crew seemed friendly and chatty. I had a good seat (upgraded to the first three rows for extra expense). The monkey white wine was good and the flight attendant was witty and helpful. Thanks!"
Cons: "The only thing that caused me some concern was that the ATL gate on the printed ticket read 1 but the actual departure gate was 1A. At first I went to 1 and the flight information said Trenton and I didn't see the 1A or even go there to look. I found a helpful Delta service personnel who said, "Oh these people, they are never around to help the passengers. I'll help you. He went online at a kiosk in the general hallway and pulled up the flight as departing 1A. Sincere there was no way for me to know about this. I could have missed the flight. Either post someone to direct passengers OR put the correct information on the electronic ticket. Thanks."
Cons: "I arrived at Austin airport one hour before my flight and no one was at the Frontier counter to help with a boarding pass and check my bag in. I had no choice but to miss my flight and they wouldn't give me a refund and basically told me it was my fault because I didn't arrive two hours prior to boarding? The Lady at the Delta counter told me no one had been at the Frontier counter for over an hour! So I recommend anyone spend the extra money and avoid this airline like the plague. Terrible terrible terrible!"
Cons: "There is no warning from Frontier that customers will be charged for both checked and carry-on bags. Along with being charged extra depending on what seat the customer chooses (up to $30 additional charge). It's a good thing I went online 24 hours before my flight or I would have been very upset to get to the gate and have had to pay $60 for my bag. There seems to be an up charge for everything after the ticket is paid for, including food and drink. The seats in the airplane felt like glorified plastic lawn chairs."
Pros: "I didn't like too much to be honest.. the crew was friendly.. boarding was okay.. nothing is really standing out."
Cons: "Awful seats. They were WAY too small and I'm a small person (5'4ft 115lbs). They didn't even lean back and they were SUPER uncomfortable ... this airline is doing it ALL WRONG!!! The flight was only 3hrs long too.. and it left me with a very undesirable taste in my mouth.. the "complimentary" water didn't help.. they MADE me check my bag that would have clearly fit in the overhead compartment.. an extra $30 I wasn't expecting to pay.. the flight was so bad that I'm leaving the review.. I NEVER leave reviews.. so.. step up your game Frontier."
Pros: "Each frontier employee was kind and greeted me...usually with their name."
Cons: "I was in the middle seat and paid $6.00 to get a seat near the front of the plan as it is sometimes difficult for me to get to the back with all the pople and sounds as I have frequent vertigo. Right before take off I noticed several rows of seats completely empty and asked if I could move to one of those seats. Supprisingly I was tolld no. When I asked she said because people pay mor for those seats. For the comfort of the 2 other people and myself...I just thought it made since they were pretty much the same. These seats were not being utilized by anyone...no one had paid to sit there..not like Casper the friendly Ghost was on board and it would have made a more comfortable flight . Just found that a little peculiar. Some thing to think about if someone else ever asks????"
Pros: "The boarding process was pretty fast."
Cons: "Talk about hidden fees! You have to pay to choose a seat and pay for a carry on. You're allowed a "personal item" that has to fit under the seat in front of you, but what they don't tell you is that the seats are "sardines in a can" seats only about half as deep as traditional seats (so that personal item has to be smaller than you'd think). So let's talk about these seats. They are literally an inch thick. Like I mentioned previously, the seat part is only about half as deep as normal seats. It ended at mid-thigh for me and I'm short (5'3"). Accordingly the tray tables are only a hand's width, put a drink on it and that's about it."
Pros: "I like that the plane didn't crash. Other than that Frontier's service, from paying for your carry on and beverages and the ticket agents to the flight attendants was, I imagine, worse than a greyhound bus ride. I was able to download the frontier app and get my boarding pass, and make the flight (drenched in sweat from running through the airport) as they were closing the boarding door. Thank god for cardio and determination."
Cons: "There were five ticket agents at the counter when I got to the counter (an hour before my flight). All five of them were helping one person and talking to each other for about 10 minutes. Then one split off to help the next person in line - or just to get a laugh by telling the couple they weren't make their flight and they weren't going to drop anymore bags to the plane because we were close to the 45 minute cutoff before the departure time. Perhaps if they had been working as a team rather than a gang the whole lot of us would have been checked in on time. When I got on the plane (after asking folks in security if I could get in front of them and running like a madman through the terminal) the flight attendant was the pinnacle of passive aggressive annoyance. This was my first and probably last ticket I buy flying frontier."
Cons: "The hidden charges are an embarrassing way to do business, The flight attendant was inconvenienced by her job, and comfort level was what I would imagine a prison bus must feel like. My return flight was canceled do to weather in Denver, I am fully aware that this is out of Frontier's hands however I commissioned Frontier to fly my wife and I to and from Atlanta; that was the Job I hired them for, to and from. They did not complete there task. They canceled the flight 10 minutes before boarding and didn't offer us a hotel. We got a hotel, a rental car, and made the 1400 mile trek. I would at least expect a full refund. After getting home and relaying our story to friends and family, not one person was shocked at this. Apparently it is common knowledge that Frontier is the world's worst air line. Well Now We know."
Pros: "I liked that i made it to my destination."
Cons: "I do not like that the website does not clearly state that a backpack is a personal item. But here is the con, they say pay now for the bag or pay more at the airport! So of course you pay. On my return and upon picking up my boarding ticket i asked about my backpack and she told me it was a personal item and that it is free. She handed me a ready made slip of paper to call for a refund and said she would make a note in the system to this effect. When i called for my $80 refund i was told well the note in the system only mentioned your return flight so we will only return for that flight. Ok..ok. You see where im going with this. This is a class action lawsuit in the making."
Pros: "It was on time."
Cons: "The seats are too small, and not padded much, so it is like sitting on a folding chair. THE SEATS DONT RECLINE. There was a 4" tray table because there isn't room for the normal 8"? (Guess) tray table to go. You can't put a laptop or anything on the tray table. I am a petite girl and i could not bend over in my seat to try snd get your personsl item... My head would hit the seat in front of me...very uncomfotable flight. Everything was an extra: we paid $35 to check each bag and $40 to carry one on. Pay for drinks on flight. No movie. I will never choose to fly Frontier ever again, unless it's my only option."
Pros: "nothing to like on a 14 hour mismanaged delay...We did get our luggage refunded. And $10 vouchers for food (not enough) and had to cue for these for a while..."
Cons: "after mechanical delay - they happen - not the issue... But, due to staff negligence on the DEN-ATL flight - my family and I had to suffer a stressful day, that could have been avoided. Issues: No proper updates on times. No one manning the Frontier counter at ATL from 4-4:30 pm - no assitance to get boarding pass to get in, now would the kiosk print it! Once there the lady was NOT helpful or empathetic. We had a tough time through security. Only due to another DELAY did we make this awful flight ATL -DEN. All the incompetence of a budget airline on full display. Get some better management in Atlanta!"
Pros: "I felt deceived by Frontier. I knew paying the low fair I was going to get a bare bones trip. I was fine with paying for my own drink. I cannot believe that the airline is charging $40 bags for a carry on!!!!!! Also I had to pay an additional $27 each so my husband and I could sit together. Shame on you frontier. Of given the choice I will NEVER fly with this airline again. Everyone I tell about my experience has their own negative story to tell about Frontier. I suggest you change your practice before you go out of business. My final cost was double the original price of my original ticket. Just price the ticket as it should be."
Cons: "A family of 4 with 2 small children sat behind my colleague and I on a 6:30am flight from ATL to LGA. There were 2 small children who disrupted my entire flight. Constant banging on the back of our chairs, slapping the trays up and down for 2 hours, slapping the plane windows, etc. After repeated efforts to ask the parents to have their children stop, the parents could care less about the disruptive behavior of their children. Complaints were made to the crew to no avail. The children were disrupting the entire 5 rows around them. These passengers should have paid for my and my colleagues flight, in addition to their flight, as they cause one of the worst experiences on a flight I've ever had. After this flight, I believe there should be a policy that if you have children on a plane, you should be required to pay more, allowing the people around you to pay less or opt out of having to be seated next to a passenger with a child."
Pros: "I have to admit, I liked the price. And now that I've flown the airline I understand why it has a low price. Which is okay, I saved enough money to cover my parking. I would say that 1st time customers might be unaccustomed to paying for your own beverages and snacks. The thing that struck me as odd was the staffs willingness even eagerness to have a confrontation with the quest. Like they took pride in putting passengers in their place for a few extra fee revenue dollars. The flight was okay, but Frontier airlines won't be my 1st choice next time."
Cons: "Rude staff! Baggage claim in Las Vegas was in another terminal, which I had To catch a shuttle to get to, which I'm sure is determined by fees the airline pays the airport. So the least expensive is not always the best thing."
Cons: "Actually the tickets were cancelled due to my wife"s (KARAMJIT K UBEROI ) sudden sickness and in spite of promise by your customer service to re credit to my Credit Card, later on denied the same .However a flight credit for the amount was provided to use within three months .We were harassed by making repeated faxes and make calls nearly dozen times."
Cons: "i wasnt able to even fly"
Pros: "INITIALLY, I was thrilled with the low price. That changed radically when I found out that Frontier charges for everything except air. The crew was polite and informative and let us know what was happening with our hour-plus delay."
Cons: "Didn't like the new seats and the tiny tray--very uncomfortable and practically useless. That said, I wasn't going to use the tray anyway (couldn't even put a tablet on it) for food, as Frontier is charging for food and water. At the time, I was not aware that I would be charged separately for baggage, including carry-on bags. If I had been, I would have MAILED my luggage to my final destination, as it would have been cheaper. My family of four turned out to have five bags, which added approximately $500 to the roundtrip cost of the tickets, or MORE than it cost for the tickets. That's right, flying the people (who weigh more than luggage) turned out to be cheaper than flying the bags. Look, if you want to encourage people to check bags, make checking the bag FREE. If you're just looking for a revenue stream, then you should be up front about what the costs will be. (But then people would be less inclined to book your "cheaper" tickets, wouldn't they?) Also, the flight wound up being delayed for over an hour, though my phone and the Frontier website continued to show "on time" status."
Pros: "The seats had a surprising amount of legroom, and the staff was nice (though i'm not sure why there were as many as a normal flight from another airline, since they don't do anything beyond the safety demo)"
Cons: "You are not adequately made aware that you will be charged for carry on unlike other airlines. And in doing so, the price of the ticket goes from being impressively cheap to being more than a flight from another airline that has more included amenities, like actual refreshements and free carry-ons. You also get charged for just selecting a seat, not a special seat, but ANY SEAT AT ALL. So the price you initially see when searching for flights is quite misleading. In reality, you should ad at least 50 bucks to any frontier ticket to get a truer picture of what the price would be for a normal passenger with a single carry-on that wants a particular seat."
Cons: "Hidden fees! Seat fees, checks. Bag fees. And what the **** is a carry-on bag fee? And after paying $75 to have two small bags TOTAL, y'all lost my luggage? Never again."
Pros: "The plan was new and clean. Nice job on the finishes.flight was turbulent and the staff was very attentive to those passenger that needed assistance, great job."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed and we received no explanation to as why. Then when we boarded the flight it was half empty. But everyone was seated towards the back of the plan on top of each other.I asked the attendant if me and my son could move to one of the at least 20 empty rows, because we were seated apart from each other ,was told I would have to wait even though the boarding was completed. The attendant came back selected to move 3 rows of passengers to balance out the flight and never move us. And to pay for carry-on is ridiculous!"
Cons: "I could not take the trip as the lady said she cannot issue me the boarding pass as i did not do an online check in from home and i am late even though i was beyond the 45mins window."
Pros: "Quick responses although they didn’t help."
Cons: "Entire seat cushion came off getting into seat, trash left from previous flight, was given the wrong info from kayak then wasn’t given a barcode on the boarding pass in the reply from Spirit"
Pros: "The seats are ok, the crew was good, pleasant flight"
Cons: "The seats"
Pros: "Place was clean."
Cons: "I’m just happy I got to my destination safe. I had no issues."
Pros: "It is extremely misleading that the ticket price is never as advertised after having to pay extra for such things as seating and bags. It is a MUCH more simple travel experience to just buy a ticket witch everything included and financially not all that different, even though Spirit advertises low fares"
Cons: "The boarding process and having holding people from flights based on check in times, etc is absolutely terrible. I have had a terrible history with Spirit and try NEVER to fly that airline and only fly it as a last resort."
Cons: "They should just allow 1 Free bag. It didn’t seem like anyone paid for their carryon bag and I wasted $45 for nothing."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, seat small, staff was rude for boarding."
Cons: "I am tired of your airline and have vowed to never use you guys ever again. I've used your airline on multiple occasions and every flight is always delayed. I recieved numerous emails of the delay and when i get to the airport I'm told," Sorry your flight is actually leaving on time." Then of course it's my fault because I was suppose to be at the airport at the original time, but I was there 2hrs prior to your delayed email time. Now I'm stuck at my destination for 2 more days. Now I miss days at work, miss appointments I had, etc..... I am absolutely done with your airline.... Thanks for nothing and I will be sure to let all know on social media of this constant problem I continue to have with your airline"
Pros: "Eye never returned on spirit.. but.. they accommodated me excellently with a voucher & alt flight the same night & time frame!! Kudos"
Cons: "The lines suck.. but what do you expect??"
Pros: "Flight took off and arrived on time."
Cons: "Navigating the Spirit Airlines web site is like dealing with a used car salesman; you have to watch every single step of the way, because they will add unnecessary, unwanted charges if you are not careful. After this trip, I will never fly Spirit Airlines again. I wish I had booked a 1-way flight, rather than round trip, so that I could return on a decent airline. There is a reason that Spirit gets a 1-star rating on www.consumeraffairs.com/ If I have to fly to Atlanta to Philadelphia again, I will take either United or Delta."
Pros: "I know spirit is a bare bones, pay extra for everything airline, but they literally wouldn’t give me a small cup of water during the flight when my throat was really dry and I just needed a sip of water."
Cons: "Not giving a cup of water to someone on a 2 hour flight is practically inhumane."
Pros: "I had to pay more for the nicer seat but it was worth it."
Cons: "I had to pay for early boarding. I had a medical bag that I wanted to ensure was stowed in a safe place. They never called the early boarding for those that paid. They called those who needed assistance, military and those who were previously on the plane. Then all passengers. If you wanted a refreshment you had to pay for that choosing from a really dirty menu. I flew home on American Airlines, paid the same fare as Spirit, had a comfortable seat I didn't pay extra for and was also given drink and snack included. It was all considered cheaper than flying Spirit and less frustrating."
Cons: "No complimentary snacks"
Pros: "I loved the price and that was about it."
Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable, you have to pay for everything; 1st and only checked bag, even for carry-in, snacks and drinks in-flight."
Pros: "Love the customer service the crew was very friendly"
Cons: "No room to maneuver, no room to put your luggage in the storage cabinets plus you have to pay $55 it's outrageous. you have to pay for water not soft drink but water. maintenance of the airplane service is horrible but the crew is top-notch"
Cons: "No seat assigned so I was asked to go to back of line. Then I was told no seats were available. Then I was told they would try to find me a seat. Then a "supervisor" Luwanda, came over and closed the gate in m face when I was about to get on the plane. They said they could put me on a flight the next day that had a 4 hour layover in Orlando. Im going to Philly."
Cons: "They lost my luggage. I was in a window seat next to a heavy person. Not extra arm room whatsoever."
Pros: "The price and flight attendants"
Cons: "Seats suck, gotta pay for every extra, running late for everything"
Cons: "Your app notified me that the flight was delayed more than an hour. When I arrived at the airport I was informed that the flight was on time and that they were not allowing anyone else to board. I will not be booking with kayak or spirit airlines ever again. Thanks for nothing"
Cons: "My MONDAY MORNING flight was cancelled, and I was given a new flight arriving WEDNESDAY afternoon. Then, THIS FLIGHT WAS ALSO CANCELLED. I could have lost my job being absent so long! Thankfully I purchased an American Airlines ticket from the American website and was able to return home in a reasonable time frame. HUGE WATE OF MONEY."
Cons: "We departed an hour late due to technical issues. The pilot couldn't retrieve the flight map so plane techs had to board the plane in order to fix that. Meanwhile on the plane we had to endure the horrible smell of jet fuel, which scared a lot of passengers (including me). We weren't offered any snacks or beverages despite the delay due to Spirit's technical issues. Upon landing, the plane began to go super fast with lots of turbulence which was also pretty frightening. Again, the smell of jet fuel dispersed throughout the plane after landing. This was a terrible experience overall, nothing pleasant or positive about the flight at all."
Cons: "The seat had the look and feel of a seat on a military transport plane. A very obviously inebriated couple was allowed to board the plane. They promptly passed out and, despite only waking after repeated attempts by the attendants so they could fasten their seat belts, were allowed to remain on the plane. 20 minutes into the flight one of them vomited, which was shocking to no one. Took 45 minutes before the luggage arrived (after a flight that got in at 9 o'clock)."
Pros: "Don't fall for the low price hoax. This airline will cost you much more than the others at the airport. They charge for all bags... carry ons are more costly than checked baggage. This is a poor strategy for an airline. My first and last time flying Spirit."
Cons: "Baggage fees are excessive and mandatory. Can't even bring a carry on for free and it's more expensive than a checked bag. Now I have the inconvenience of waiting all this time at the baggage claim. Not customer friendly."
Pros: "Boarding and crew"
Cons: "Two hours delay"
Cons: "I would love a free mini bag of chips or pretzels. Free soda? That couldn't possibly break the bank."
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "The flight attendant"
Cons: "I checked in online- Requested a wheelchair and pre paid the line for checking bags did not move for almost 40 Minutes. I asked for a wheelchair during the wait because I could no longer stand - the attendants Just looked at me and never came. I ended up on the floor Bc I no longer had strength to stand with my cane and after a few people yelled about it I finally was brought a wheelchair- mind you they were lined up and ready with attendants just standing around. When we all brought to the staffs attention that our cut off time was happening in about 5 minutes they finally Brought another person over. We had all been waiting some for over an hour while the two attendants were being held up by the same customers."
Pros: "I waited too long at the check in to drop off my bag even though there were not many people in line. They charged too much for my bag which negated the cheaper fare. The seats on the plane did not recline which made for an uncomfortable flight. They did not allow carry on without charging. These inconviences were not acceptable considering the fare was barely cheaper with the bag charge. I will probably not fly spirit again."
Pros: "I will never fly this airlines again. The Plaine never arrived on time (7:50p)and passengers was sitting around for hours waiting on an update as to what the peoblem was and why we weren't leaving yet. This has been my worst experience flying on Spirit and i have to be to work at 2:00am in the morning. I will NEVER fly this airlines again and will Not tell anyone about this airlines but will tell of the horrible experience. Upset passengee!!!!!!"
Cons: "We had a 45-minute layover in Atlanta, taking the same plane to Philadelphia. How long is 45 minutes? Long enough to get off the plane and immediately hear your next flight is about to board."
Pros: "$45 to bring hand luggage. Pay for a seat. Want me to pay for walking in- oh, that's $10 and breathing? Oxygen is $25"
Pros: "Clean affordable room. Friendly and helpful staff."
Pros: "I've never been on an airline that was on time let alone 20 mins early. The doors closed once the plane was full and took off early and landed 30 mins ahead of schedule. I really can't say enough about this airline."
Cons: "absolutely nothing"
Pros: "flight crew was friendly"
Cons: "we did not get a reminder of our flight going down or coming home"
Cons: "Spirit is set up specifically to come in the lowest on Kayak, then nickle and dime you after the fact. I had to pay $55 for a checked bag and $50 for a carry on. If the point of your service is to help guests find the cheapest flights, then these types of things need to be remedied."
Cons: "I had to use the bathroom when I got off the plane. When I got to the baggage claim, my bag was no where to be found and no representative was available. I was having spirit paged, but no one ever came. Worse, I've called twice now and still no one has called me back."
Pros: "I enjoyed receiving emails about flight delays."
Cons: "However I did not like the way the spirit ticketing agent handled my missed flight. She was not understanding at all, nor did she show compassion toward my situation. I was not given options instead I was forced to ask continually what my best method of travel to return home would be."
Cons: "While booking your ticket , it's always best if the airline tells you how much it will charge for carry on , baggage and the size of personal items. The flight I flew from atlanta to Philadelphia was so filthy, the seats were not cleaned. Anyways, my wife made me promise that I never book on spirit airline again."
Pros: "I LOVE the smooth ride of the flight. No turbulence"
Cons: "I was not informed by text the flight was delayed. 3 hours. ILearn Once I arrived before 5:30 p.m. . The flight is delayed until 9:03 p.m. . They kept telling the passengers. It was a severe storm in Philadelphia... I have several other workers stated we were bumped. Because of a mechanical problem with another plane. I check back with family in the Philadelphia area. It did not storm nor rain. So spirit customer service told untruths. As per company overhead. The aircraft was extremely crowded. Crying babies. Adults who did not take a bath. Overall disgusting for my first time ever flying with Sprint. What a lasting impression"
Cons: "They lost my bag after getting to philly when there was a connection in Atlanta. The plane was never changed and my bag should have never come off the plane. I didn't receive my bag until 2 days later and when delivered the man was extremely rude. My plane was also delayed multiple times."
Cons: "Fees for checked bags, fees for carry on bags, fees if not on-line check in, fees for seat selection, fees for drinks, fees to talk to agent, not worth it!"
Pros: "The flight was comfortable and enjoyable. We were late taking off and yet we arrived very close to our scheduled time. Baggage claim was very easy and quick. Enjoyed the friendliness of the crew."
Cons: "I had a very difficult time printing our boarding passes. I wasted 1 hr in front of a hotel computer trying to print the passes. Our password was never accepted. Alway "no match." Tried the only two passwords we use to no avail. I also called and paid for our baggage the night before our flight with a customer service rep, Carla, and when we got to the airport, the kiosk showed that we had not paid."
Pros: "Charge extra for everything. The websites did not allow me to check in ahead of time, so had to do it at airport. Had hour and a half delay, but we're not told why. Will avoid flying with them!!"
Cons: "The agent inside Atlanta airport"
Cons: "Being delayed over 5 hours because your plane broke down. The staff was not empathetic or courteous, and certainly not able to handle working under pressure."
Pros: "landing and getting off and away from Spirit airlines"
Cons: "I fly multiples times a month, but never have with Spirit until now. The website said a checked back is $25, and $50 if overweight. When I get to check in they charged me $55 for checked back and $50 for a carry on (never have heard of this). I was there an hour early, and when I look at my boarding pass it said we board 45 minutes prior to take off. After running to gate, found out otherwise. Chose my seat when I bought ticket, but was given the last back corner seat on plane and I am 6'3" so could not move. The whole company is a joke and everything about them is a lie. Horrible experience."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "My outbound flight was 2 1/2 hours late, my return flight was over 7 hours late. The seats are very tight. There is no food or entertainment. By the time you pay for your carry on and seat assignment, these budget flights are not so budget. The few dollars savings was definitely not worth it."
Cons: "The numerous delays for boarding The lack of communication as to why our flight kept getting delayed"
Cons: "4 hours in airport, flight cancelled. Received verbal future travel voucher. Tried to book the next day, and use voucher, 17 digit code needed. The website says if you don't have the code, contact us. (This is where you really get fucked) Called 801-401-2222 as stated on the website, no one will ever get on the phone, it's a trap. This airline and this company, and all of it's representatives, shareholders, employees, and management can SUCK MY DICK!!!"
Pros: "The flight was fast as well as comfortable!"
Cons: "Baggage claim took over an hour.....mechanical issues. A young man in the spirit office wound up, going down into the conveyer belt pit, to physically bring luggage up. It was a late flight on top of that."
Cons: "Delayed 5 hours, it is very bad air."
