Pros: "I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

The flight was long, so comfort would be nice! Our first flight was regular seats and I was pretty miserable and I am a slender woman 5'6". The extra 3" was great, and we had to pay more on the return trip. The FAA should be investigating seat size and safety on planes."

Entertainment systems had contrast issues and it seemed like a lot of people 8 - 10 had issues since they were using iPads instead of the built in monitors. A lot of wear showing on the entertainment systems remotes."

Cons: "The complimentary headset breaks easily. Tray table was broken and they can't fix it. Very small bathrooms, knees almost touch the door when sitting down. Food selection for dinner ran out quickly, resulting in only 2 choices and one is hot spicy, so basically only one choice. All beverages are given out in small cups, even water is given out in small cups increments (finish in one gulp), they don't even give out small bottles of water. No complimentary packet (eye shades, socks etc.) , not even a barf bag for collecting trash."

Would be nice to get a better estimate as to how long it would take to board so that I could hang out in the lounge. In addition, departure from JFK was delayed as well, either we missed the IFR window or got stuck behind some traffic and I fell asleep on the plane only to wake up what seemed an hour later just getting ready to hit V1. No upgrade."

I'mover 6' tall and middle seats are painful, especially cross country. Airlines need to be a little more attentive to their customers' needs. If a passenger is taller than average, and the flight is more than 60 minutes, provide comfortable seating at no extra charge. If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

Cons: "We had seats at first where there was what looked like bubble gum bits stuck on one of the food trays. The flight was clearly not cleaned although it landed 2+ hours before the departure. We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

One crewmember was in a foul mood, and due to the lavatory issue, refused to let anyone use the forward lavatory while she was doing drink service, even during an emergency."

Cons: "The checkin and "Automated" Baggage Check were a disaster. It took us a full 2 hours to check our bags and get to thru security and our gate. We were practically running to get to the end. The layout of the airport is very tough to get from point A to point B. Walking a long distance with multiple security checks. On top of that, the plane was almost an hour late boarding and then taking off. It was a mass of people with no way to cue for an orderly boarding process. No instructions or info given to allow us to go get something to eat or drink prior to boarding."

Pros: "I used to fly lufthansa for my europe travel for work about 15 years ago a lot and thought in recent years it may not have been as good but these flights made me appreciate Lufthansa anew. Crew extremely helpful and polite, always followed up to any requests. Instead of barking at us like United or American crew, they went out of their way to help my daughter get a makeshift icepack for some very painful bumps she got during our vacation. Crew also kept the bathrooms clean from time to time, which was a welcome relief for such a long flight. Desk staff/service desk also was helpful in directing us during the 5 hr layover to things at the airport itself that we could do. They also helped reprint the boarding pass and write down the baggage tags when security made me lose those by separating my wallet and boarding passes into mutliple bins."
Cons: "Phone service. When I tried to book my seats and meals, the lady kept getting things wrong, and ended up not getting me the seats I had specifically ended up asking for. So, when I arrived at the airport and printed my boarding cards, those were seats I did NOT want and all the service desks insisted that's what I asked for. No low carb meal option was surprising. Meal service sometimes felt like too close to each other else too far apart from snacks - didn't feel like we had enough time to digest and get some sleep, while at other times we were seeking out snacks.Overall good quality of food however."

I'm a DVT patient[got it a couple of years ago while flying back from China - didn't move during the entire flight] and need to move frequently and need legroom to stretch out my legs as much as possible when sitting. Anyway, having informed a crew member about my DVT condition, I asked if I could move in the empty area - mind you, that was after plane door was closed and boarding had been completed. She refused only to give after takeoff the area to a lady with a little dog in her purse. This flight was operated by United. Our household will from now on avoid any flight that's operated by United."
Pros: "Crew was very professional and attentive. Great experience."
Cons: "Boarding was delayed for some reason, and the ground crew did not board by rows making boarding process a mess. I am also disappointed that seats don't have power outlet (USB only) in the 380, one of the newest planes. I bought the Wi-Fi day pass but my laptop run out of battery towards the end of the flight."

Cons: "My back was hurting after ten hours plus in my seat - even though I was in Economy Plus. The main course of my Asian Vegetarian Meal was tasty but the accoutrements were borderline dreadful."

Pros: "We were traveling with a small service dog. The extra attention and service was amazing! We will always use Lufthansa for any future international travel."

Cons: "It is unpleasant to travel on long distance flights-coach. That is just the fact. Unfortunately a large size passenger was sitting next to me. That made my already tight space even more uncomfortable. He was very considerate but a person is unable to shrink himself. Airlines should offer some kind of reimbursements if this happens. I felt bad for the fellow as he was polite."
Pros: "good movie selection, although none of the headphones worked, since they were the wrong plug style."
Pros: "Once I got on the flight the next day it was fine. I was given an exit row seat."

United ground team was terrible in terms of giving us information about rescheduling, getting to the hotel, etc. Huge lines and no extra staff available to help. I will probably never fly United again. Frankfurt airport is awful - extremely long walks, no transportation, very confusing directions. I will try to avoid Frankfurt in the future."
Cons: "The flight was overbooked and we were not allowed to board in spike of the fact we had purchased our ticket 2 months in advance. Inexcusable"

Cons: "Entertainment options were so-so. Lots of modern films, not all of them quality. Perhaps having a section with all-time great films would be good."
Cons: "When a bought my ticket, I had asked in the office about WiFi. They told me that you have WiFi on the plane. I had checked this information on KLM.com and saw the same, that you have WiFi. This was the reason, why a chose KLM! Then I tried to connected on board but I couldn’t! WiFi was not available. Crew told me that they don’t know anything about it! I was disappointed and angry."

Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

So we arrived later about 50 minutes so I had to manage my situation and find my next gate and be on time. And an other thing that I disliked was that I was allowed to have only one baggage which was very unusual for international flight between two countenances. And the crew was not polite enough so she made fun of my Cary-on. In short, I expected more from KLM which is famous for them being "Royal" but not acting as one of them."

Cons: "- Schiphol airport (AMS) is small, crowded, noisy; no water fountains; toilets are dirty and insufficient in number; SFO is much better - KLM boarding process was chaotic (not by group or row number), boarding/security personnel (4 old guys) didn't have a clue - 787 is noisy, chairs are uncomfortable (my back still hurts) and very close together, they also recline way too much - food trays not collected promptly - noisy babies on all flights - clearly not enough cabin crew for a full flight - no or wrong info by pilots on timing (crew are always lying anyway) - gate is all around the back at SFO (long taxi to get there) - they inserted people in wheelchairs during deboarding thus holding everybody up."

I wasn’t able to lean my seat back as the passenger behind me asked me not to because his knees were already touching the back of my seat. The web check in was prone to error. For both legs I had to start the web Checkin at least twice. I also got an error page when I tried to print my boarding pass. I do’s not find a way to add my boarding pass to my iphone’s wallet."
Cons: "I didn't make the flight because I was a few minutes late and they used the excuse of US preclearance to not let me try to go ahead and go through security despite being there well over an hour in advance."

One person at their many counters for two hundred passenegers. Last time for Aer Lingus. On the other hand British Airways flew us from SF to Milano. We thought we were returning by British Airways. Screw job!"

Cons: "Their cc machines couldn't process America credit and debit cards (I was one of 5 ppl in my row that had the same problem). When I paid w euros they didn't have change, said they would bring if before I landed and never did. This happened both to and from EU. Additionally the internet didn't work AT ALL and none of the attendants had a Clyde as to how to set it up. Finally, the attitude at large was dismissive, the idea of customer service is clearly not one Aer Lingus has embraced."
Cons: "We reserved specific seats by calling Aer Lingus directly 4 months prior to our trip. When we arrived in Dublin from Paris, we were told by a very uncaring Aer Lingus representative that those seats were not available and were assigned seats that split up our family. He acted as if he could care less. The food was average. I have never flown internationally and had to pay for alcohol. Seat space is never great in economy, but this was one of the worst. Luggage for our entire family was lost for 36 hours."
Pros: "I thought the Airbus 330 was new, well maintained and clean, but the plastic fittings and layout were cheap. The crew was friendly and conversational."
Cons: "The food, which was small and unappetising was served 1 hour into an 11 hour flight, and aside from a burrito near the end, nothing was served. They said that the drink cart would not be coming around but the one time 1hour into the flight before dinner, and wouldn't be coming round again, so We'd best order our drinks ahead of time if we wanted any wine etc to have with dinner. Very inconvenient. Leg room ridiculously small ."

Pros: "I've traveled Aer Lingua several times and been pleased enough to keep choosing AL for my transatlantic trips, however this, the on February 4th 2017 was my last favorite because this time i felt the low-budgetness of travel. there was less leg room, the food was edible, the in-flight A/V was not worth the effort of trying to watch our listen and the crew in my section not very attentive. Having said that, this was a one time mediocre experience that I'm reviewing and hasn't put me off AL at all - it's a good airline and I will continue flying with them."
Cons: "I was unable to change the flight in any way shape or form (even though I requested that weeks in advance). The only alternative was paying $+1000 more to change. While I still had tons of questions of my options (and was calm and polite!), they hung up on me. I ended up not even going on my flight and note being able to cancel my flight. Ridiculous, rude, and plain unpleasant. I will never take this airline again."

Cons: "Some of the flight crew. The arm rests don't go all the way up which makes it really hard when traveling with a toddler. This was the case on the short flight and the longer flight to LAX. Not a fan of the food. Most of the crew seemed preoccupied and grumpy."

Cons: "The system itself is extremely hard to navigate. The buttons won't respond to touch well so it takes you 10 minutes to set up a movie. Mine also kept rebooting itself so I couldn't watch a full movie the whole way through."

Cons: "Food included a sandwich that was mostly limp lettuce. Awful. Crew was competent but unsmiling. Trying to check in on line was impossible, so had to check in at the airport. No warning given that additional time needed for US customs before takeoff; luckily I had plenty of time built in already."
Pros: "I was nervous about an unknown, no-frills airline. The food was nothing special, but everything else was great. I would use them again."
Pros: "The crew were lovely from beginning to end. The direct flight to SFO was stellar after traveling for three weeks. The pilots' directions, decisions and effort were very professional. The selection of movies and entertainment were great. The meal and snack were good."
Cons: "All seats should now have a USB port, not just a power outlet. The sound system for the entertainment is terrible. The connection should allow for personal headphones, earbuds to be used. Watching a great movie on a terrible sound system is quite frustrating. Also, the crew needed to include another full pass through of sodas/juices and a few more trips to collect waste. There was way too much of a dry spell for a 10+ hour daytime flight."

Cons: "The vegetarian meals i and my husband ordered for the round trip by my speaking to an Are Lingus rep for the flight from SFO to Dublin when we booked our seat assignments were not available. The attendants managed to find me a veg meal, but not my husband. This was totally unacceptable on a 12 hour flight!!!! and we had trouble getting the meals on this return flight too, even though i had called and confirmed they were available. When we got the food the quality was poor. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and the smallest seats I have yet to encounter, and I do a lot of flying. My back is still hurting."
