The flight was delayed in 30 minute increments for a total of 4 hours and 30 minute delay. All other flights to Chicago left on time except for this one flight. If there is an issue with the inbound flight, just let customers know so they can find another flight right away, Once we got on the plane there was another 30 minute delay taking off at 10:30 at night which is very unusual that a flight wouldn't be ready to take off

American notified via app that the flight was delayed. However, when I went to the gate, they were already boarding and had not updated communications that they had pulled the flight time back. They made the entire flight re-check in which by this time I had lost my exit row seat and ended up in a middle seat. As a 4 decade flyer of American and Exec Plat, my expectations for the company are that the customer service would be better. This unfortunately is no longer a strong point for any of the major airlines including American. They are basically city buses flying at 30 thousand feet.

It was very hot on the plane and it wasn’t acknowledged by the crew. This whole trip was one of the worst flying experiences I’ve had in a while. We sat in that hot plane on the tarmac in SLC for 45 min (after being delayed for 33 min for crew). 4 hours in the air in a barely cooled cabin. Over 30 min sitting on the tarmac in CLT waiting for a gate. I missed my original connection but was fortunate to get on the last flight out to RDU so I can make my 2 hour drive home. I know these things happen. But it’s frustrating nonetheless.

I was stuck in Miami for 24 hours! I waited in a line for 3 hours just for a hotel still at the airport. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Flight was delayed, boarded, sat at the gate for more than 30 minutes, left the gate then waited on the pad for another 30 to 60 minutes then returned to the gate, deboarded and was cancelled... alternative flight was not booked automatically. Waited in line for 30 minutes but fortunately an alternate flight to a different destination was found ... no thanks to the travel agent used by kayak

The flight changed gates multiple times and flight had to be delayed multiple times

I was originally scheduled on AA 1763. When I landed in Miami, I went to the counter for flight AA 2115 to try to move my flight to this one. I was in a first class seat on AA 1763. While they moved to me this flight, I was told that there were no other 1st class seats available and they assigned me into coach. However, when I was getting off the plane I noticed that one of the pilots who was also in line to go jump seat - somehow miraculously got a 1st class seat on this flight. It is actually infuriating that I had a paid 1st class seat yet somehow they would move an AA employee ahead of that. At a bare minimum, they should have compensated me for the fare difference and I really think paying customers should ALWAYs get the premiere seats.

I like that the crew kept us informed but we moved back and forth from gate to gate before the aircraft arrived.

Boarding went fine, the plane was clean, and the crew was very friendly. Seats were a bit cramped, but that seems to be typical on all airlines anymore. Cookies and pretzels were offered as were beverages - the usual. I’d fly American again.
