The steep stairs made it unsafe. Had to wait a long time for a handcranked lift. No one really knew what they were doing and they wanted to put her in an adult wheelchair in spite of my identifying safety issues. My daughter was scared and upset. Epic failure on AA’s part. Communication breakdown on many levels. Shameful."

Cons: "The plane was incredibly hot and humid while we were on the ground. The stewardess told us we had a broken APU but would not tell us what that is or if it was actually a problem. Someone pressed the call button during the flight but the stewardess couldn't be bothered to get up and the call light stayed on the whole flight. Eventually the plane cooled some once we were airborne but stayed too warm. It got very hot once again when we landed."

Flight was listed as serving only snacks so was surprised to be served an excellent Asian Noodle and Steak Salad and continuous beverage service. Flight attendant responded immediately when I had trouble with my headphone cable and brought me a replacement cable. Entertainment option with wide choice of live television was fine for flight and helped make flight go by fast. This was our first use of first class service, and we would consider it again. I had unsatisfactory experience with United last year and saw great improvement."

Cons: "For some reason, the crew was not letting anyone bring their carry-on bags onto the plane, but there was clearly enough space in the overhead bins. If there was an issue with putting stuff in the overhead bins, they should have explained why we couldn't bring our belongings with us instead of yelling at people for trying to bring stuff on the plane that had plenty of space. I saw 4 or 5 bins that were completely empty and that was in the back of the plane I don't know what it looked like closer to the cockpit. Either way, the gate crew was very rude to everyone and it was very unpleasant to experience. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback."

I was in the window seat and the guy next to me had a large athletic physique and was over-flowing into my personal space. On top of that he had a severe case of toxic flatulence."

Then finally had us deplane to wait for replacement plane. Not that the employees weren't polite and courteous because they were, but the last time I had a delay like that the airline gave everyone vouchers for $100 off next flight they booked. Your company let us watch TV for free. Hardly comparable!"
Pros: "The crew is AMAZING!!! Personal, professionals, they go above and beyond my personal standard of customer service. Very comfortable atmosphere. Not to be mistaken with the uncomfortable seats. I like to think United doesn't overlook the work ethic their employees represent the company with on a day to day basis."
Cons: "I travel for work from Grand Junction, Colorado to Dickinson, North Dakota every 4 to 6 weeks. I always fly United. On one occasion I met family in Colorado Springs, so I bought a round trip ticket from Dickinson to Colorado Springs. I missed the second half of my round trip flight from Colorado Springs to Dickinson. I had to pay my own cab fare from Colorado Springs to Denver to catch my flight, because your plane, that i paid for a flight on, had mechanical issues and didn't make it to Colorado Springs. Second, my flight in Denver was cancelled 3 times and almost a fourth. I all but got down on my knees and begged to catch the fourth flight they tried to cancel. Third, I didn't even get to fly into Dickinson. So instead of somebody coming and picking me up in Dickinson which is a 30-minute drive from where I work, somebody had to drive 3 hours to Williston where you guys ended up getting me. Which cost me 3 hours of gas money to get picked up, instead of 30 min of gas money. I didn't get either of the flights back to North Dakota that I paid for. I've asked for the reasonable request that I be refunded 50% of the cost of the airfare and the $235 it cost for cab fare. When I contacted United about this I got the runaround from everybody. At this point I've pretty much accepted the loss, and the financial hit. I'll continue to fly United only because it's pretty much my only option. Just make sure you keep the crew around. They're great. I'd hate for the experience to go from unsatisfying, to miserable."
Cons: "The departure monitor first said "on time," then "awaiting aircraft," with ever-later estimates for departure. There was little confidence that there would even be a plane."
