After about two hours they arrived and the word given to us was that it would take about 30 minutes to resolve the problem. Finally, at 5:00 pm the 1:30 pm. flight was cancelled. They put us on a flight leaving 9:25 am the next day, and we were on our own until then. That flight left on time, and my comment about the hostess was, of course about that flight. I will consider all of the other options available before risking flying AA again."

No, let's load front to back so everyone has to uncomfortably shove past the people who have already taken their seats at the front of the plane. Then you get back there and all the overhead bins are full because everyone takes as many bags as possible onto the plane. Then you have to sacrifice the already tiny amount of foot room, "to put the bag fully underneath the seat in front of you." At this point you should be fine, except if you're over five and a half feet tall (I don't know if that's true I'm 6'2" and 275 lbs,) because then your knees are going to be buried so deep in the chair in front of you that the person up there doesn't even need a seat they can just sit on your knees. Luckily for you tall people, they put a nice metal rod just about knee level to really dig in and cause pain . . . Yay! Being a big guy, you try to be considerate and fold your arms in to give the person next to you as much space as possible, but don't expect that back as they'll spread out and become as wide as possible. Then to distract yourself from the discomfort, you try to use the free in flight entertainment via the United app, but "it's not available right now." In summation either be short and small or be rich and buy the seats with extra legroom when you fly United."

Cons: "Got to the airport for my birthday trip to find out that my flight route had been discontinued. Nobody ever sent me an email or call to let me know. Kayak application said everything was going according to the plan. Spirit airlines clerk told me there was nothing they could do about it. Ruined my trip and lost tons of money and time because of such negligence. Tried to call kayak customer service and all the numbers dialed were not working. Very disappointed."

Cons: "Customer service was aweful. Women at the front would not allow my ticket to be printed however I was already checked into my flight. They are crooks trying to squeeze money out of their travelers. If this isn't taken care I will no longer purchase from kayak either. I have been a long standing customer of yours. It's the only app I use to purchase tickets. I am now missing work and was forced to pay 100$ to get a later flight. Very disappointed."

Cons: "Airline tries to charge you for every little thing they can. Ended up paying over a hundred dollars for luggage because they made me check my supposedly free personal item, and there ended up being ample room in the overhead bins. You end up paying the same price you would for a better flight. I will never fly with them again. Staff was incompetent and standoffish. I didn't seem to be the only one who had problems either."

Cons: "They had horrible customer service. They wouldn't let us on to our flight because we were 30 minutes before our departure time. They wouldn't EVEN PRINT OUT OUR PASSES to let us try. Our entire trip was ruined. They tried to get us to pay 300$ to pay for a flight with connections. Unbelievable never flying spirit again."

Pros: "The big seat that I upgraded to for $35 one way was nice - essentially a business class seat. The crew were helpful and pleasant, and the boarding process was well-organized."
Cons: "If I had known the philosophy of this airline ("bare fare" plus pay more than average prices for all other upgrades, including water on the flight), I never would have booked with this airline. Checked luggage is more expensive with Spirit than with other airlines, and fees are almost double at the airport if you don't pay ahead of time. Carry on bags are also an extra fee; only your personal item is free. If you have orthopedic challenges and a long flight, pick a different airline - only the extra cost seats ($35 each way) recline at all. This airline was more expensive to fly than the airlines I normally fly, once I added what I consider to be basic needs. It would have been nice to have this information (especially about the seats) available when I booked on Kayak."
Cons: "I got bumped off my 10AM flight and then Spirit didn't have another flight until 10PM. I took a reroute to LAX (I was going to San Diego) and would rent a car. That flight was also delayed 1.5 hours. Should have been simple business flight, instead I missed meetings."
