Cons: "It is understandable that flights get cancelled /delayed due to weather conditions but it is NOT ACCEPTABLE to handle the situation the way Sun Country did. My flight was delayed by 3 hours due to weather and I missed my connecting flight. The were was no one available at the San Diego terminal to answer questions and the call wait time was 60+ minutes. Eventually I was told that I would have to make my own arrangements for my connecting flight and the connecting airline (Alaska-which must be an affiliate as I had been booked for a Roundtrip ticket via Sun Country) would be responsible for that. So Sun Country just left me hanging and it was up to me to work with Alaska to complete the second leg of my trip."

Pros: "The boarding method went the quickest of all flights I've been on for both flights. Check-in in MSP was quick and some of the attendants were friendly based on what I overheard. Staff in SAN was friendly."
Cons: "A new mom was in the aisle walking to keep her baby quiet and to stretch her legs (after the drink, snack, and trash carts had gone by) and had her back to a flight attendant also coming down the aisle. She was talking to another parent on the flight when the attendant came behind her and told the woman, "Excuse me. Some of us are still working." Her tone was suuuuper rude and uncalled for. A friendly "excuse me, please" would have been just fine and would have gotten the job done. I went to the bathroom a couple minutes later and the attendant was on her break and eating, so maybe she was hangry, but still! Seats were uncomfortable on both flights, but not as bad as Spirit Airlines. I had bad low back pain afterwards, even after getting up to walk partway through the flight. This is something I've experienced on a couple other airlines too, but the legroom on planes has gotten worse. For those of us with long legs, it's a huge pain. I'm 5'9", so I can't imagine how it is for someone taller. The legroom on Sun Country was just as bad as other flights. Probably a strange complaint, but the seat back pocket had a bar running in the hem, so when I put my water bottle inside, the entire pocket stuck out as far as my water bottle. This meant I had to choose between having the pocket rub against my knees or hold my water bottle between my thighs. Neither were ideal. The check-in in San Diego was painfully slow. There were three people standing there, but only one person seemed to be checking people in. The staff was friendly here. A Sun Country employee at MSP told a man he had to check his carry-on suitcase because the wheels stuck out of Sun Country's tiny metal carry-on test box a CENTIMETER. I kid you not. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw much larger luggage come onto the flight. The woman who checked me in was quick but I wasn't able to ask any questions before being sent away. No free snacks or entertainment which seem to be included on most other similarly priced airlines. The food for purchase (burgers and Jimmy Johns or something) made the plane smell bad. I asked for coffee with cream and sugar as my complimentary drink and was given the powdered creamer packets. Fine, okay, I understand if that's all they have, but then I saw them walking through the aisle later offering coffee and they had creamer cups in their aprons! No one asked me which kind I wanted. :("

Both sides of me the passengers were well over 350 pounds, the man had one leg under the seat where my feet were and she filled the indow seat to the max . Full flight so no chance to change seats. I do blame this on the airline. Unable to even wiggle on a flight that was over 3 hours long. I am going to write the airline about this."

I was so uncomfortable I asked a flight attendant for a pillow & she said they didn't have any when I in fact saw the overhead compartment in the front of the plane with pillows in it while boarding... I found that super rude."

How was I to know that any seatback that goes up 2 inches short of vertical is bad. Am I to know the airline or FAA rules?"

Cons: "One of the crew in first class was unpleasant and very rude. She had short brown hair (the blonde lady was very friendly and nice). After letting 15 other people use the lavatory in the front of the plane, and because the carts were blocking the aisles, I also attempted to use it. As I was closing the door, the brown haired lady forcefully grabbed the door and swung it back open and told me I had to use the lavatory in the rear. Since I didn't want to get arrested, I did. When I was gone, she confronted my wife about why she did this and did so in a very rude tone. I hope to never see her again. I may think twice before choosing Sun Country again. If it wasn't for her, the ride would have been decent."

Because I couldn't select my seat online, they put me in the window seat in the exit row for free. Boarding was smooth. Took off on time. Staff was incredibly pleasant. Landed early. I've had nothing but 10/10 experiences with Sun Country!"

Cons: "I sat in a middle seat, sandwiched in between a passenger who had an aisle seat on my left and another passenger who had a window seat on my right. It would have been okay, but both were much larger than me and with the seat already a bit narrow, I felt like a sardine on this flight."

Cons: "The boarding issue to me is a big problem you should put the conditions of the ticket up front and center for example boarding last when you are on an international flight with bags that need to be put in the overhead is a big problem having to pay for each seed internationally for each leg of the trip made my ticket just as expensive as if I had bought it from a regular company never again will I use your service rip off rip off. Once you buy the ticket then you send clarification letting the passenger know they have no rights I had no right to anything I was wondering if they were going to tell me I had to clean the plane in order to be transported from New York to Spain. A satisfied customer is a repeat customer you got over on me once but never again"

Cons: "Slept overnight in LA terminal, Bag sent to San Diego. Flight on American Airlines to Narita was cramped. Short stay in Narita, on to Kaoshiung via JAL, got to Kaoshiung and bag was/is still in San Diego. Hopefully, I'll never have to fly American Airlines again."

Cons: "The check in process at JFK was a disaster. The kiosk check in machines were constantly malfunctioning, where to line up was unclear, and staff acted frustrated. After several failed attempts with the kiosks you have to wait in line to check in at the counter anyways. It would have saved almost an hour of my time to just go straight to the counter-- had I been allowed to. I wanted to check a bag which contained some fragile items. Several bottles of wine which I wrapped in bubble wrap and cushioned with my packed clothes. I requested a "Fragile" sticker to be put on my bag. I was told "We don't do that here". So I asked if they handle ALL bags with extreme care and I was laughed at and told to go on my way. When I got my bag at my destination-- the outside of my leather suitcase was sliced to the lining. There were scuff marks and torn leather. My wine had been completely shattered. Not just a crack in the bottle, but flattened completely. My clothes were stained, my bag ruined. I don't know if putting a fragile sticker on would have prevented this, but I don't understand why they just "don't do that". We are trusting our property to the airline when we check bags. I will never trust American Airlines ever again. They don't want to know if I have anything fragile, and they don't care when I tell them."

There was, however, no in-seat entertainment. On the upside, I'm glad I didn't fly business class. Compared to the standard set by other airlines, the seats appeared to be from the 80's."

Cons: "AB 320-200 flight for +5 hours and no entertainment. Nothing on the flight. Could not pre-board on line, so instead of a zone 2 loading sequence we got zone 4. as a person who flies to Europe 4-5 times a year I do not enjoy getting on a plane in the Zone 4-5 sequencing."

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

We had to pay $280 to rent a car and I drove all night and went straight to work without even going home to shower or get ready or anything. My 4 and a half year old son had to endure the whole thing too."

Then to find out we were delayed do to mechanical failure. Which still left us no time to grab something besides a bag of chips because there was nothing but mostly bars in that terminal."

Cons: "Flight ETD was 8:25 but plane developed a mechanical problem. After about 20 minutes waiting for maintenance the Captain decided to go back to the gate for fuel and repairs. After maintenance came on board the decision was made to deplane. Finally, a plane from Chicago was scheduled to take us to San Diego. After boarding at about 12:30, it was discovered that catering never loaded food. We waited for over an hour for food to be delivered. At close to 2pm the Captain, who kept us aware of what was going on, asked us if we would agree to leave without a full delivery of food, and all agreed. So by 2pm we were finally enroute to San Diego but having a seat in the back meant we only got to eat what was left, which for me, was a small cheese pack."

Pros: "We were forced to re-book this leg of our trip because of "insufficient" layover time. The United Airlines staff helping the numerous customers that were forced to re-book were not friendly, did not function with any sense of urgency and were as minimally helpful as possible with the inconvenience. After exiting customs we had 30 minutes to get to our gate, instead of offering to take us to the front of the line to get through security faster we were simply told we would not get through it in enough time to make our flight. Initially we were not even told we were going to be re-booking our flight, we were only told that we needed to re-check our bags at the counter after exiting customs. The entire interaction was very frustrating."

The woman checking the tickets while boarding was incredibly curt and rude to the old man in front of me (who clearly had an issue with his ticket that was not his fault), then when she got to me she took a look at my bag and said "it's huge I need to check that". It's a bag that I have carried on to hundreds of flights (feel free to look at my flight history with united) and definitely fits in to the over head. When I asked her "is it too big or is there no space?" she said "no space" without even looking at me. I proceeded to board the flight only to find tons of over head compartment space. This is very frustrating. She didn't even take the time to fit my bag in the measuring tool at boarding. She seemed to be in a rush for no reason. The flight was already delayed and being rude wasn't going to make it go any faster. I'm now a silver status member, likely to be gold by the end of the year. I've flown a lot, and I think it's totally reasonable to expect at least some level of politeness while boarding."

Cons: "I felt like a commodity that only existed to squeeze money out of. I'm a petite person, 5 foot tall and 115 pounds yet I felt cramped in your tiny seats."

Pros: "Flight attendants were great. They brought the food and drink cats down the aisle at least 5 times each during the flight."
Cons: "In flight entertainment system worked great for the first hour or so and then would spool for several minutes for every minute of movie that it would play. Flight attendants could not so anything to fix it."

Cons: "we got 3 separate middle seats while traveling with a 4 year old. United knows his age, do they really expect him to sit alone? Fortunately the flight attendant and other passengers were very helpful."

Cons: "Lost $700 on this trip. The refund policy was extremely unclear, and the time window for valid trip insurance was extremely short. The purchase of insurance was useless."

Cons: "Delayed flight so they transferred us to American which turned out to be delayed and we missed our connection in LA and had to stay the night. They could not find us on the computer system because of the transfer. We took the train home at our own expense. Not happy with costumer service. There was a lack of efficiency and care. We were in the air for 4.5 hours but spent two whole days traveling. No thank you united and American!"

Pros: "I liked that I finally arrived at my destination and that the crew did their best to accommodate the passengers."
Cons: "-The flight was delayed with only vague information given out at the gate. We were told three different times we would be boarding, but only to be told we were experiencing a delay again. + If the gate announcements included apologies with, or even instead of, the inaccurate boarding calls it would have made a difference. -The passenger compartment was about 15 degrees hotter than the airport and it never really cooled off. The front WC was out of service and created a long line for the only other WC on the plane, which you sometimes you would stand in when turbulence would hit. This was honestly one of the most uncomfortable commercial flights I have taken since 1991. I had to call out of work due to the stress the flight put on some of my joint injuries."

Cons: "They change our gate 3 times and one of those times had us walk back to entire different concourse. Then it took forever once we got on the actually plane and we had no air, it was so hot. The ride was bumpy and the air was again not very strong so we are hot and bouncing around. Finally, we get to San Diego and....they change our baggage claim. United needs to get it together or at least give us a free drink when they can't get organized."

Cons: "The pre-boarding staff were rude and not helpful. I had requested an aisle seat when I booked my flight. Somewhere along the line, my seat was changed to a middle seat. When I asked the staff if I could switch to an aisle seat to help accommodate my sciatica, they told me, "sorry, we can't help you, you'll just have to ask another passenger." Neither crew member was willing to work with me or hear my concerns. So much for flying the friendly skies...well I guess we were still on land, so may that principle had not yet taken effect."

Pros: "Seats were fine as they were basic accommodations."
Cons: "There was a 90 mins delay which would’ve been a little more palatable if I didn’t have 2 small children with me, and if they could have offered us regular updates to plan accordingly such as bathroom breaks and feeding my kids. Having a 3 and 5 year old in tow is already a bit tough but there were no gate agents there to update us, and no one to offer exactly how long the flight would be delayed. All they could offer was they had to do some specialty cleaning since the plane arrived from Mexico. I would imagine they knew it was coming from Mexico so I’m also not quite why Frontier didn’t plan enough of a buffer to accommodate the necessary sanitation guidelines required. We were delayed 90 mins for a 45 mins flight. Then the already beleaguered passengers were restless and started arguing at the back of the plane about deplaning etiquette which I guess should go out the window when flying a budget airline? All in all a pretty poor experience"

Pros: "I had never used Frontier till today and I have to say for being a discount Airline I was impressed. The flight boarding was quick, the seats were the same size as a normal airline in coach.....while I did not pay for a reclining seat I was comfortable for the 1.5 hour flight. I packed a bag that met the personal item size maximum and was not hit with any other fees. I actually found that the service was good and other passengers were friendly......probably because everyone was so happy that they didn’t overpay for the flight. I’ll definitely book again!"

Pros: "Nothing. Every single person I spoke with was insulting to me, repeated information they already gave me and showed no sympathy whatsoever. They cost me money, they cost me a day of work and no one even seemed to care but every single agent did find something different about me to blame. What an embarrassment."
Cons: "I couldn't check in online because of a website error. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone on the phone to check in. When I did they said I had to use the website. I arrived in plenty of time to board (there was a 4 minute security line) but they would not check me in and told me to call a number and they made no offer to help me and told me I should have chexked in online. I called the number and they gave me. I was on hold till I missed the flight. The agent told me the people at the counter could help me. I aksed for a supervisor. He offered to reschedule me for Sunday, (today is Thursday) for a $99 fee (the ticket was $63). After arguing for an hour i finally got the supervisor to refund my money but I still had to buy another ticket on another airline to get there. I will never fly frontier again ever."

Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."

Cons: "High baggage fees (for both checked and carry-on). Virtual requirement to pay upgrade fee for seating - only a handful of seats in entire plane were available without upgrade fee. Even highest level upgrade seats were cramped - had more leg room on economy seats on Alaska flt on in-bound flt. Plane was 4 hours late in departing. While pilots seemed friendly, of two stewards, one was downright unpleasant and unhelpful, the other seemed pleasant but was more interested in reading his fashion magazine than providing service to passengers. Will not be flying Frontier again."

Pros: "Good piloting, nice landings despite turbulence, low clouds and wind."
Cons: "I travel a lot and understand that being a flight attendant isn't always a fun job, so I do my best to minimize my burden on them, but their attitudes made me feel like they despise their passengers and think we're all stupid. A couple crew members were nice, but the rude ones I interacted with ruined the experience. Also, not the employees fault, but they pitch you their crappy credit card for 10 mins then stuff brochures for it in your face. I'm already stuck on a plane in a cramped space next to someone who smells bad, I don't need advertisements that I literally cannot escape added on top of that. Their app is okay, but their website is awful. They nickel and dime left and right. Finally their seats are too short! I'm 6'2" and if I sit up straight and lean back, my head is over the top of the seat. I got suckered into a cheap fare but wish I would've paid $100 more for a half decent airline instead."

Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"

Cons: "paid the extra $74 (discounted - bundle rate) fee to check bag and carry on and select a seat! crazy... i was wondering why a 4 hr fight from cincinatti to san diego direct could POSSIBLY cost just $90... now i know.. it DIDNT... it cost $164 each way... lol. NOT. also - the crew was just lame. they didnt look at you ever and you had to flag the down after they passed you to hand over trash... basically just spent their time socializing and had an overal BITCHY tone... that you didnt matter to them. will avoid this airline from now on."

Cons: "The outbound flight was delayed only three hours. The return flight was delayed three hours, after which we boarded and waited. After another hour we taxied to the runway and returned. I am grateful we did not take off with a defunct left-engine. We taxied back to the airport and de-planed--but only after being instructed not to talk to the other passengers. (Really.) The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."

Pros: "The crew had a smile and were friendly."
Cons: "Look, it's a budget carrier. I get that. But I add a bag to my flight and my ticket is now what it would have cost to fly Southwest. I'm 6'4", and I *barely* fit into the seats. My knees touched the seat in front of me the whole flight. And the seats don't recline. To make everything just perfect, they lost my luggage on the flight home, and the lady who worked with Frontier who took all 15 (?) of us who had lost luggage over to make a claim said "this is normal for flights coming from Denver - it's a hub for Frontier, so luggage gets misplaced all the time." I'm sorry, that's not acceptable as an answer. I've never had a lost bag while flying with others, so that's what I will do from now on."

Pros: "I will only fly Frontier if the cost is way lower than other flights. The seating is so uncomfortable and they charge for literally everything. I'm surprised there is not "breathing air" fee. Although the round-trip nonstop flight to SD from Orlando was only 140 per person. I paid 89 each way for bags and seating. Still at 185 round-trip nonstop, it's a great deal. The flight left on time and we had no issues in the air. I wish I could get more comfort and complimentary drinks and snacks along with TV options during the flight for this price, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Overall the savings is undeniable. We had some major issues trying to book our summer trips bc they were only showing airfare through 6/6/17 up until last week 2/13/17. Less than four months out before they released and the prices were doubled. Since my entire family lives in Orlando and I travel there 5+ times a year, Frontier has saved us a lot of money! My son travels alone a lot. He is 13. When he flies alone we always use Southwest no matter the cost bc they do not charge extra for any minor over 12 traveling alone and they take great care of the kids in air. No to mention the flights are nonstop, they offer free drinks and snacks, and of course, baggage is free."
Cons: "The seats are extremely uncomfortable, I still ache from this flight. I had a 10 month old on my lap for five hours. I was unable to recline. They force you to check in online or they will charge you more money at the gate. They will charge you for everything under the sun. So glad they don't charge for in lap infants (yet) or a personal bag. Maybe it is just a matter of time. One airline I flew.. (Maybe Frontier or Alaska?) offered tablets for rental to. Watch movies or shows during the flight. Frontier could take a hint and start this practice."

Cons: "I paid for the upgrades first row seat. There was no padding, I could feel the metal seat on my back and bottom. Very uncomfortable! Seats do not recline. No entertainment. I didn't buy any food, but they do give free water. I used to like Frontier, but would not use them again:( Maybe for a one hour flight, but it's not so cheap and uncomfortable even in the nice seats! I heard horror stories about the regular seats being terrible, but not sure the $$$ ones are better but for more leg room."

Cons: "We have several flight delays with no connecting flights to our destination. We were rerouted to another city, rented a rental vehicle, and then continued to our final destination."

Cons: "We waited a hour for people who were late. Then we didn't have a gate when we got to DIA because we were so late. Ended up being 2hrs late due to late comers. Not very considerate for those who were on time."

Cons: "My husband is a active duty military personnel, his orders had changed last minute, we sent military orders and leave sheet, to Frontier Airline HQ. It all started with the papers sent wasn't enough information, the military orders were sent, and again, these were denied because it wasnt a pdf document. I personally sent the Military orders as a PDF document, and I never heard back from Frontier. I feel like we were fooled by this company, so we couldn't change the flight and waste our money and time on them."

Pros: "Zero"
Cons: "The seats didn't recline, there was no wifi and when I asked for a sip of water, to take a pill, I was informed I would have to buy water if I wanted anymore than a sip. About half way through my trip (9 pm- 3:30 am) a flight attendant snapped on my over head light and accused me of using my ecig and demanded I give it to him. As I handed it to him I explained I was not using it and deployed the button to show him it wasn't even on. He then "confiscated" it. About two minutes later he returned it to me and told me not to use it again or I could be jailed. After I got off my flight I found a Frontier Airline supervisor and told her what happened. Kim took the tag off my bag (for flight info) and told me a report would be filed and I would here from the airline in 24-48 hours. Three days passed and I finally called them just to find out that there was never a report submitted for me. Poor customer service!"

Cons: "On both flights, the for sale snack options were poorly stocked... no menu cards in my row, when I asked for one (because they told us to chose before they got to us).... they brought me one that was torn and falling apart Most folks around me were surprised they couldn't get water or coffee without paying extra."

Pros: "Everything I booked a flight for my aunt she said staff was very friendly and the fact that it was a direct flight was very great! and not expensive at all compared to others."

Pros: "While the planes were kind of old feeling, the pilots were top notch - giving us some of the smoothest landings I've experienced. :-)"

Cons: "The 4pm flight was delayed about an hour, so I went and grabbed a beer to wait it out. I got back to the gate right as they were announcing final boarding. Even though I was one of the last passengers to board, I wasn't worried because I had reserved my seat way ahead of time (always go for the window), and had made it before the doors closed. As soon as I got on, the flight attendants rudely told me the plane was full as if I wasn't supposed to be getting on. I showed them my ticket, and they changed their tone a little, then went to check my seat. Apparently it was somehow double booked, and there was no other seat available (or so they told me). They then told me "we can maybe get you on the 9:50pm flight, go to customer service" (original flight was 4pm). Didn't offer to do anything else for me, didn't even tell me where customer service was in the airport, just kicked me off the plane and then took off, treating me from start to finish AS IF I HAD MADE THE MISTAKE. Waited in the customer service line for about an hour, finally got to the front and was able to get a seat on the 9:50pm flight. Customer service rep snidely told me "don't be late this time" as if my waiting until final boarding justified the fact that they had given my seat away. That flight was then delayed until 11pm. I didn't land back home until around 2am, and had work the next day at 8am. I was never compensated whatsoever for the whole ordeal, nor was I even treated politely - the entire time, they tried to make me feel as if I was in the wrong. I used to love Frontier, I'm from Denver and have used them almost every time I've gone back to visit there. I WILL NEVER BE FLYING FRONTIER AGAIN. The new management brought along with it bush league baggage policies, nickel and diming around every corner, and some of the worst customer service I could imagine. Such a shame."

Cons: "I hated that I arrived 2 hours before our flight and then got notified that our flight was going to be delayed not once but 3 difference times. so we waited from 4:00 pm pacific time to 10:30 pm to board the plane and 11:00 take off that is 6 hours waiting at the aiport. THAT IS INSANE!! getting to the Denver airport we got there at 2:30 am and had to walk over a mile getting to our hotel till 3:30 am and having my meeting at 7:00 a.m, coming back from Denver to San Diego the same thing our flight was delayed by one hour and 30 minutes. by far this is the worst experience EVER!!! and the only compensation I got was 100.00 dollars off my next flight a free round trip would of made it seem like they actually cared about my time and money."

I spoke with customer service on the phone multiple times on the flight regarding various issues. They were able to help on about half of them. Response time was extremely long and trying to get a hold of someone was nearly impossible (When through a bunch of prompts to discuss issues with a computer instead of a real person. Yes I tried pressing "0" every chance I could to be redirected)"

Cons: "2 crying babies( that part was just bad luck), the plane was dirty and not well taken care of, the flight attendants were rude, had to pay for beverages. Terrible experience. Will not ever fly this airline ever again!"

Cons: "I shouldn't have to choose to sit in the exit row in order to get enough legroom to fit comfortably in a flight where I'm not going to get food, peanuts, or a seat that reclines. Every leg of my trip was this way. On my way out I flew a red-eye and planned to sleep because I had business to deal with once I landed. Without legroom or being able to recline I was too uncomfortable to get any sleep. I also had to pay for carry-on AND check baggage? Is a person not supposed to bring anything with them when they fly? Lastly, if I wanted to sit anywhere comfortable or in a reclining seat I again have to pay to upgrade? This fact was unknown to me until the online check in process. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with my experience. I have another trip next week and I already chose to pay $100 more for American Airlines instead of frontier, I will have comfort, food, wifi, won't have to pay for my baggage. This is America, we expect comfort. At least give us wifi. My experience with Frontier has made up my mind about paying more to get treated the way I deserve, not as if I was flying in a C130 Cargo plane."

What a surprise when we had to pay more money to just choose our seats. This is a complete rip off for travelers. You already pay to much just to fly and then you pay additional money for seats? And then you pay more money to have a carry on bag. We put this bag under our seat, we carried this bag ourselves, no one from the airline touched this bag, another rip off. Like some cheap school bus seats! Babies and kids screaming and crying! As much as it cost for all of the BS nickel and dime charges, you might as well pay the price to fly a better my comfortable airlines. With all of the charges it comes out to the about the same in the end!"

Pros: "I used to love flying Frontier—the airline with the cute animals on the tail of the planes. Now I call them the F word in airlines. If you want to fly Frontier, I want to make sure you’re forewarned. Their slogan is “A different kind of animal.” This animal is very cunning. And slightly savage. First, if you’ve been suckered into their $59 airfares, you already know what’s waiting for you. Wait. You actually want to fly back home? Well you’ll end up paying the same price as you would most any other airline. But wait…what’s this? Actually, their rates are about $100 cheaper than normal. What they don’t tell you is, they charge $30 for you to carry on your own baggage. I always thought it was ludicrous to charge me to carry my own bag onto a plane. Keep in mind that’s one way. So it’s $60 round trip. And that’s their discounted rate if you book online. It goes way up if you’re one of the unfortunates who wait till you’re at the kiosk to settle up with the Frontier Friskers. Oh, you say you want to actually choose your seat? That’s $13 minimum. For each leg of your trip. Don’t be surprised if they figure out a way to charge you for each leg of your body. That’s for a normal seat. If you don’t cough up the $13, they’ll randomly seat you wherever they want. I wouldn’t be surprised if they counted the lavatory as a possibility. So, that’s $60 for your own carry-on luggage. And a minimum $26 if you dare to choose your own cheap seat. Hmm. That $100 savings is looking rather slim right now. Speaking of slim, that describes their seats. And they don’t recline. You’re straight upright your whole trip. And the padding is about as comfortable as a cheap mattress in a cheap motel. The best way I can describe the feeling: Say you’re on Sesame Street and your job is to sit on the capital letter ‘L” for two hours. So while spending what feels like an eternity in L, maybe you’d like something to quench your thirst. That’s $1.99. Water? $1.99. A snack? $2.99. I’m surprised they don’t charge for toilet paper. By the square. (To be fair, I just learned that a cup of water is actually free. “For today,” said the flight attendant. “That could change.”) Nice Surprise: The people who work for Frontier are generally nice. But if this is the way Frontier treats their customers, how do they treat their employees? Do they make their mechanics buy their own tools? I wrote to the company to let them know how hugely disappointed I am with their changes. I never got the courtesy of a reply. I somehow like to imagine the CEO, in the true spirit of “no frills”, answering each customer letter by himself on an Olivetti typewriter from the 1970s. But I kind of doubt it. So there you have it. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. And if you have four arms, well, you might just fit their new slogan. Frontier Airlines: A whole different way to treat people like animals."

Red eye flight and lights were not dimmed, air flow was turned way down almost to the point of non existent so it was stifling hot. No help was given to the mother of the crying toddler who screamed the entire 3 hour and 20 minute flight (at least offer a free cookie or something to help sooth popping ears or anxiety for Christ's sake!). Absolutely WORST airline I've ever flown with and will NEVER fly with you again."

The ticket agent let go the fact that despite my removing items from my suitcase it still remained heavy. I felt like he cared. It put a great smile on my face. Pros: "My experience was identical on all flights so I'll repost the same review: I really like Spirit's business model. Fresh planes, different style seats with less upholstery (less chance of absorbind spills and odors, as I see it) that results in more leg room. The upgrade to the top-tier seating (not called first class) is affordable and offers more room to stretch out and faster boarding. There is no food provided, no screen in the back of the seats to wacth movies, and carry on bags cost extra. And I LIKE this, because these are things I can do without yet with other airlines I'm paying a higher price. I gave 5 stars to the food and entertainment catagories because I like this approach of having neither. The planes are new and feel reliable and fresh. Feels like the future of air travel."

Cons: "We arrived at the airport and were through security over an hour prior to our flight's takeoff. We decided to grab breakfast at a restaurant approximately 2-3 gates down from our gate. We arrived back at our gate 17 minutes prior to the departure time and the door to the entryway was already closed. No spirit attendants remained at the gate to assist or inform us about who we should speak to regarding this matter. We sat at the gate and watched our flight take over 15 minutes to pull away from entryway with no one available to direct us. After the plane pulled away, a few Spirit staff members came back out the door to the gate, and when we inquired as to why our names were not called throughout the airport (as we heard many other names called while sitting at the airport) they informed us we would have to talk to the customer service desk if we had an issue. We went to the customer service desk and they put us on another flight, which did not depart until late that day. We went to the customer service desks of 3 other airlines attempting to find a sooner flight, and when we explained Spirit closed the gates 17 minutes early, each airline stated that the industry standard is 10 minutes. Not only does Spirit not follow the industry standard, but they also shut the gates 2minutes prior to Spirit's standard which is 15 minutes before the flight. Additionally, no effort was made to call our names prior to the flight, as is customary with all airlines. Two days later, we went to board our return flight, which a week prior to our trip we paid $585 to change to that day, and when we went to check in we were not scheduled to be on that return flight. We showed proof of switching our flight and luckily the attendant was able to get us on that flight, however, we were extremely rushed getting through security and due to Spirit's mistake almost missed this flight as well. If no seats would have been available we would not have been able to get home despite paying to switch the flight a week in advanced. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience traveling with Spirit and would not recommend the airline to anyone. We are frequent travelers for both business and recreation and have never experienced such poor customer service."

So spirit canceled a full flight for no reason , leaving the only alternative to be a 12 hour flight the next day ."

These amounts should not have been taken out for a refund when the airline is at fault and after some hassle, they refunded the full amount. -When you value your time, do not fly Spirit."

We arrived to the airport 2 1/2 hours early and when we checked our bags, the man at the Spirit counter confirmed the flight was leaving an hour later than scheduled. We sat by the gate at a restaurant for two hours and went to get on the airplane 45 minutes before the plane was supposed to leave and the spirit gate had been shut early. Spirit announced that they were calling the last boarders as they were shutting the gate and when we walked up they would not let us board the plane. Hence, we miss Lee our flight. No one was willing to help us, or let us on, even though they boarded at the original time and not the delayed time as emailed and there were no other announcements made besides the last one. I have flown Spirit many times, and have always had a bad experience. I will NEVER fly them again!! They have lost my business forever."

When boarding, 3 people had the same seat, one of the crew members solved the problem because luckily the flight was not a 100% full. 0 entertainment for the 6 hours flight (it was the same plane from FLL to Houston and San Diego) so I had to try and sleep (which was impossible). When I felt thirsty and wanted a cup of water, they told me it was a $3 dollar charge per bottle, I've never been denied water in my whole life, I found it nonsence. Overall, I would never fly Spirit again."

Pros: "Over the last 10 years I've traveled domestically and internationally on umpteen airlines -- including Spirit once before -- and I've literally never seen a plane boarded faster than I did on this evening's flight 787 from Vegas to San Diego. Crew were very friendly, flight was easy as it could be."
Cons: "The two women at bag check. I *never* check bags, and I *always* use kiosks to acquire my boarding ticket. Tonight, though, I tried three kiosks and none of them worked. Because I was in a hurry I dashed over to bag check (there was no line) to find two young women chatting away. Fair enough, they don't have any customers. But now they do. I stood there for a couple seconds then asked one of them to please help me get my boarding ticket. She looked at me like I was being rude or putting her out for asking her to do her job. She told me to use a kiosk. I explained that I'd already tried and again asked her to help me. The other girl wasn't quite as rude but neither one of them seem to have the slightest interest in customer service, which is weird, because that's their job description. Anyway, I hope both of them walked into an out-of-service automatic door tonight."

Cons: "I was charged for carrying on my roll on bag because of its shape. While my brother on the same flight carried on an even larger backpack.But, it was considered a personal item. Also because we did not wish to pay even more to pick our seats, we were assigned the last row on the plane where the fuselage begins to taper towards the tail of a plane. Therefore it there was not nearly enough shoulder room for my brother and me. Overall the discomfort, lackadaisical staff, and shrewd penny-pinching policies insured that I will never fly Spirit Airlines again."

Pros: "Started off OK but then we quickly downhill flight was canceled due to fog in San Diego so I never made it onto the plane."
Cons: "Weather delay with fog in San Diego. Not Spirit's fault but they delayed for an hour and a half and then cancel the flight. As they canceled the flight they came around with cards with a number to call to rebook or change your itinerary. I called the number on the car rather than getting right in line at the desk. By the time I got through on the phone it would have been 10 to 15 minutes. They told me that since I was halfway through my return trip they couldn't do anything over the phone. So then I had to get in line and wait. I was the last person served. They offered me a flight to days later at the same time 9:45 PM that was unacceptable so I ask for something else and he somehow turned out they had a Houston Chicago San Diego flight that leaves tomorrow morning at seven. Very disappointed in the handling by the rebooking staff on the phone the gate agents were very friendly but very overworked and stressed. Service manager was there and he put me on a call back on the phone but that didn't help either. Not flying spirit again anytime soon."

Cons: "The 40 pound weight limit on checked baggage is both surprising and infuriating. Then the 30 dollar additional fee is completely asinine if you are between 40 and 50 pounds on that checked bag. Also your fee for a carry-on bag is completely ridiculous. I ended up transferring weight from my checked bag to my backpack to avoid the 30 dollar additional fee. The result was that the airplane weighed the exact same as before I transferred weight, and Spirit airlines angered their customer. I was courteous to all the staff but I would rather pay more for a flight, have better customer service, better baggage policies, and avoid all the nickle and dime charges that Spirit employs. I think I just took my first and last flight on Spirit. Good luck to you!"

The plan was to check in and pay for my bag at the kiosk which would have been $21 instead of $55. For their troubles, I supposed. What a rip off. Then on my boarding pass they put 0 bags where I was then asked for $100 fee to check my carry on at the gate. Why would they put 0 bags?!?! Thank God I had my receipt with me and I dodged that extra expense. The staff was so rude. Worst flight experience of my life! They make TSA look great."

Cons: "Mechanical issues. Initially, airline tried to fly with a fuel leak, until they learned the fuel leak was not within the plane manufacturer's tolerance for safety. They then made me wait 9 hours in the airport for them to bring another plane. It appears that they delayed flying in a new plane until after they tried to fix the fuel leak for approximately 2-3 hours. At the end of this ordeal, they provided only a $50 credit for their airline and a $7 voucher to buy a coffee in the airport. I will never fly this airline again."

I had to talk to someone who I could hardly understand for over an hour to correct this issue. When I arrived for my flight it had been delayed 3 hours, then delayed 4 hours, then cancelled. Had to go back to the ticket desk where 100 other unhappy travelers had to wait for 3 ticket desk agents that were offering to reschedule my flight for the same time the following day. My confidence this airline would actually follow through with my new travel arrangements were absolutely zero. I requested a full refund and was unable to fulfill my travel plans. I would never book a flight on spirit airlines again and would go out of my way to prevent anyone I know from making the same mistake. Such a horrible excuse for an airline!!"

Cons: "THEY CHARGED ME $65 AT THE GATE FOR MY BAG THAT COMPLETELY FIT IN THEIR DEFINED DIMENSIONS! When I checked my bag at home, it was within their dimensions. When I checked it at the ticket counter it fit within their metal frame for measuring. When I got to the gate, they told me to step aside and check my bag. Without even looking at my bag, the lady at the counter told me it wouldn't fit and I had to pay extra. I told her it fit, and with an attitude, she asked me to put it in the frame to see if it fit. Suddenly, it did not. She said it didn't fit by over 2 inches. It was less than a 1/4 of an inch, and barely that. I was furious. She refused to care, refused to listen to me, and told me that it was either pay the $65 and board the plane or leave the bag there. Totally rude, and did this to SEVERAL OTHER PASSENGERS. HIGHLY DOUBT I'LL EVER FLY THIS AIRLINE AGAIN."

I only had a carry on. There was no reason I should have not been able to board my original flight or at the least rebook at no cost. Total rip offs but I guess that's what I get for flying with such a low class airline like Spirit. Never again and I will never recommend flying with this airline. They have so many hidden fees."

Pros: "The cost of the trip was very low - with all the frills removed, air travel can be relatively cheap. Plan ahead - you will not be able to use TSA Pre-Check, you will have to pay extra to carry on a bag (so buy your bag online at the airline's website before you go to the airport - this is the cheapest way to do it as they charge you more to purchase the carry-on at the check-in counter and even more if you wait until the boarding gate), and you will have to pay for all beverages including water and provide your own in-flight entertainment. If you plan ahead and know what you're getting into, flying Spirit can be a pleasant experience. The flight staff is friendly and polite."

The website does not say that carry-on will be charged. At the counter, I was charged $55 for the carry-on. It is a light carry-on (I basically just had a sleeping bag). On the return flight, I protested for being charged for the carry-on because the website did not clearly say carry-on would be charged. The ladies at the desk then asked me to pay $100+ for my carry-on. $100+ is the price one would have to pay upon boarding without having paid for luggage. I ended up paying $65.00 for the carry-on because I did not pay for it at the check-in counter. I was flying to O'Hare earlier that day so there was no need for me to go outside to get the boarding pass and pay for the carry-on. Still I was asked to pay $65. With my air fare being just about $125, it is unbelievable that I had to pay $120 for a carry-on. I had heard of an NPR interview about the frugality of this airline and I am in favor of it. But it is deceiving to charge low airfiar only to get it back with charging excessively on the carry-on. If the carry-on has to be charged, they should clearly highlight it on the website so customers are alerted. In addition, it is also an unfair practice to other airlines. Had I known that I’d pay $200+ for the airfare to go on Spirit, I would have chosen a different airline. I plan to write to the Spirit and other agencies."

Not flying Spirit anymore, no matter how cheap the ticket looks on Kayak!"

We told to come back and check the status every 3o minutes, which we did and were assured the flight would not be canceled. My wife and I ended up having to rush like crazy to jump on another flight with Alaska Air in order to get home to be a work the next day. We ended up boarding 5 minutes before takeoff. We ended up leaving all of our friends behind and they are still stuck at the airport today in Cabo, San Lucas. When we landed in San Diego, Spirit's website claimed the flight left at 5pm which was FALSE! Needless to say, I will never fly Spirit Air again and will advise all of my friends and family to never book Spirit Air again either."

I know this is supposed to be low cost but I could have gotten a first class ticket at another airline and much better food and service than this. At the boarding terminal, the lady told me, after I waited in line all afternoon, that I had to go back and get my printed boarding pass from the kiosk. What airline can't print the pass at the desk! When I told her I needed to check my carry on when I purchased a carry on price, she got lazy and wouldn't check it so she printed out my boarding the pass there. Lies! I will never fly this airline again unless they paid me to!"

Cons: "Airline tries to charge you for every little thing they can. Ended up paying over a hundred dollars for luggage because they made me check my supposedly free personal item, and there ended up being ample room in the overhead bins. You end up paying the same price you would for a better flight. I will never fly with them again. Staff was incompetent and standoffish. I didn't seem to be the only one who had problems either."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed, and delayed, and delayed while the airline told us it would be boarding "momentarily" and "shortly". The maintenance issue could have been easily solved by doing proper post flight checks, as our flight was supposed to be the first to leave in the morning and the issue with the plane had been there since the night before. They offered us $50 vouchers for use with Spirit Airlines, which won't be terribly useful since we won't be flying with them again. They refused to even try to credit my card with the voucher amount to pay for 400 miles worth of gas and parking to get to and from the airport. The real disappointment with Spirit Airlines is in their ability to perform maintenance properly and their customer service representatives' lack of professionalism."

Maybe others enjoyed it, but not my cup of tea! The flight was initially delayed upon arrival by at least 30 - 40 minutes. No assistance to be found at the gate. Then an additional 20 or so minutes delay after all had been seated for two passengers, one of whom could barely walk straight. These two kept the entire plane waiting only to get off before take off. REALLY?? What a cluster. Will not be flying Spirit again."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours due to leaky breaks and they didn't have the air on so we all sweat to death until someone decided to flip the ac switch 2 hours in. The tickets are so cheap cause you have to pay for eeeeeeeeeeeverything! You have to pay for a carry-on, a drink, to have the service desk check you in, etc. I'm surprised they don't have a coin-lock on the bathrooms or individual oxygen masks that they charge you for."

Cons: "I am a Spirit member and I did not like that the website clearly states that if the luggage fits within the box you do not have to pay to carry it on...mine did fit, yet I had to pay $55.00 to carry on. I did not receive credit for the mileage and when I called to get that corrected I was put on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up. I think that $2.00 for a 6 oz. cup of coffee is ridiculous and to get the attention of a flight attendant was not worth the time. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. The next flight I book will be with a reputable airline that may price the flight a little higher, BUT will be upfront about luggage fees, provide incidentals and hopefully not treat me like I'm a burden."

Cons: "Baggage policy, everything had to be paid for, I ended up sittingin the middle, arrival time was delayed."

Pros: "Your flight staff (flight attendants) are always great."
Cons: "I attempted to purchase luggage before each of my flights (departure and return) and the website would not allow it. I called the customer service number multiple times and it said they were experiencing technical difficulties. I was forced to purchase luggage allowance at the airport on both flights and was forced to pay a much larger amount that what I normally would have had to pay if the website was working. This excessive fee really makes the option of flying spirit less economical, frustrating, and really obliterates any reason to fly with your airline. Additionally, I was able to purchase seating before my flight- but on my return flight they put me in a seat that I did not pay for. The flight attendant did make a correction. Your staff at the main terminals is consistently extremely slow, unfortunately. I really like the flight attendants, they are always great. However, due to the above mentioned issues I have had recurrently, I will certainly be reluctant to purchase Spirit flights in the future"

Pros: "Absolutely nothing."
Cons: "Their customer service is horrible and virtually nonexistent. They charge for everything including water. I boarded a plane scheduled to take off at 1:30 from Las Vegas. The plan pulled out to the runway and sat there for two hours while maintanence attempted to fix the broken emergency exit lights. After waiting for two hours on the runway the plane proceeded back to the gate. Where we say on the plane for another hour, while the crew constantly reassured us the problem would be fix momentarily. During this time the air conditioning was turned off in order to reboot the whole computer system and being in Vegas the cabin got very hot. I got up and asked the flight attendant and she refused to give me a sip of water. After that hour we were taken off the plane and forced to wait for another hour and a half with only one customer service agent to address passenger's questions. The only answer she could us was "I don't know any details I am just the middle man". Eventually the plane arrived in San Diego 5 hours late. By that time I had already missed the ceremony of a wedding in which I was a groomsman. I got off the plane and rushed to get my bag from the baggage claim only to find that my bag was not there. I went to the spirit help desk in San Diego and nobody was available. So I called spirit customer service in Las Vegas 3 times in a row before a human answered. I was told there was a mix up and my bag was left in Las Vegas. After the whole ordeal of the delayed flight and missing bag. All I was offered was a $50 voucher good towards a spirit airlines. I refused the offer as I would NEVER fly spirit even for free."

Cons: "Baggage restrictions are ridiculous. Especially that your checked bag can't be more than 50 lbs, and that before I booked a spirit flight I called to make sure that my checked baggage would be free of charge, as I am a military spouse. I was told it would be, but then during online check in I was told that it was not. I would not have booked with spirit if I had known this in advance."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Most of all of spirit airlines got cancelled because it was too hot for the airplane engines while other airlines and airplanes seem to take off without a problem. We had to wait about 2-3 hours to get information about changing our flight or getting a refund. The worst was that they tried to reschedule for the same flight at the same time tomorrow which we thought we would be the same problem since it would mostly Likley be the same temperature. Spirit airlines couldn't accommodate us with a hotel nor a rental."

Pros: "The boarding was fast and easy and we left a few minutes early."
Cons: "The ticket was cheap but it didn't include your seat. To pick your seat was extra. Carry ons are more than luggage. There's no beverages or snacks, everything costs money."

Cons: "Spirit is very difficult to deal with. If you have any problems it will snowball out of control quickly because of their poor customer service."

Pros: "There was (I believe a Russian Flight Attendant) on the way to San Diego and back, and she was full of spunk, personality, friendly and fun!!! She made the difficult time fun."
Cons: "My flight was 2 hours delayed, so I arrived to San Diego at midnight! There was an elderly woman with her grandchild behind me that kept allowing the infant to slam the little metal table into the back of my chair and no flight attendant noticed, though she did it repeatedly and for a LONG TIME! People with children on board should be watched some because they often allow child to play with parts of the plane that are not toys and make other passengers uncomfortable. While I appreciate the prices of the food sold, there could be maybe better selections for a slightly higher price, butt I was relieved you had Ramen. That helped hold me over!!"
