Because it "wasn't [their] fault" I was given the option to stay 24 hours in city I never asked for, to "try again", without my baggage, the next day. No mention of compensation, no attempt to work with another carrier to find a flight because, as they claimed their flight being late to connect to their other flight is not their fault."

In fact, unless I went to the agent's desk, I'm not sure they would have even remembered. Then my husband and I were split on the plane, and even worse, assigned in middle seats. Unacceptable. Last, unlike Hawaiian, they served no food. I'm flying Hawaiian in the future."

Without sale of open seat, the only way for Alaska to capitalize on that seat is to allow someone else to have a more positive flight experience with more personal space, so honestly she shouldn't have been rude. Tomato juice was hot from being outside, normally cool even without ice. Snack was fine, but minimal and snack boxes not available on short flight, so less stars for that. Entertainment nonexistent - film/tv access not available in flight without something in mobile device that was not explained, no plugs for charging."

Cons: "But on my last flight with them, it was delayed for more than an hour and a half, which was longer than the time I flew back to SJC from Burbank. That mixed up my schedule for the whole day."

I had my mobile boarding pass on my iPhone, and got to my departure gate. When it got close to boarding time, my email boarding pass disappeared! Luckily I was able to get a paper boarding pass from the boarding desk. If I had not looked previously on my phone-I would have been delayed. Learning lesson on my part. Check in at airport too!"

I endured a less comfortable trip, and now have to go through the pain and effort to get a refund. Good luck to me..."

Overall the flight was delayed 7 hours, from 4:50pm to 11:40pm. I opted to reschedule for the following morning -- and that flight ended up being delayed for an hour due to equipment changes and mechanical issues. Door-to-door I spent 30 hours getting from CLE to SJC."

Airline made no concessions for travelers knowing that some were just doing a simple trip and those others whose journey was very long. Narrow seats added to stress and discomfort. Airline policy seemed to be "Give me the money and I will deliver you safely. Period" Humanity seems to be last on airline list. Traveling is seriously grueling and unpleasant for all those not in First Class."

They claim that the cabinet in the plan is full while actually there is plenty of spaces for multiple luggages to be there. The crew was rude and refuse to explain it in an acceptable way. When I asked why cant I carry it when there is enough space, she simply says because you just can't. Do you want to take the plan or not! This is unacceptable."

Pros: "I missed my previous flight, and even before that my day was going pretty bad. I was quickly routed to the desk to get a replacement ticket, and even though the flight was oversold, they had me wait around until the plane was ready to take off. A couple minutes after they shut the door of the boarding bridge, I was called and told to follow one of them. It turns out a couple of people were headed to the right city in the wrong country."

Cons: "The flight was continuously delayed and ultimately cancelled. There weren't a lot of connecting flights until much later the next day, and the customer service was fair at best."

Cons: "Flight was pushed out at least 5 times before departing. Once we even boarded and were told to get off the plane after the delay became too long, "for security purposes." The pilot was completely unprofessional - he tried to make light of the situation. At first it was funny but the jokes soon got old. There was little attempt to to update as the delay kept getting longer and longer. We learned more about the delay from our phone apps than from the crew. Most idiotic and incompetent group I've ever flown with."

Cons: "Late departure blaming weather but there was no weather issue where they referenced (we all can check online these days guys -_-) RUDE crew, ran out of food (to purchase no less) by row 18 on a 38 row plane, almost missed connecting bc crew made no effort to help get people with tight connections off the plane first. I hate this airline. I am legacy Continental with 14yrs of business travel experience. United, you suck."

Pros: "The in-flight crew were very nice and no one got beat up. our flight was delayed but we got put on a later flight without issue."
Cons: "No entertainment and no free wifi and the seats hurt my beck and back. The girl who checked us in was abrasive to us and everyone in front of us in line, but maybe she wasn't trying to be, that was just her personality. Our flight got delayed which meant we missed out on seeing an old friend I hadn't seen in years, but at least we got there."

Pros: "Male flight attendant was so genuinely kind to an elderly couple next to me. Female was nice as well. Seat more comfortable than last flight. Flight on time."
Cons: "Cannot connect to wifi. No entertainment. Need stronger signal. No charging spot for electronic device in my seat."

Cons: "The employees were verbally rude, borderline abusive. The airline was completely disorganized, changing our gate 3 times. Literally the worst airline experience I have had in years."

Cons: "Couldn't even access united's flight map without paying for movies. Seats are very small, large neighbor next to me used my armrest the whole flight and generally spilled into my seat."

Cons: "Your entertainment sucks everything cost so much. There is NO leg room. Your planes I think are old needs to be updated."

Pros: "Not bad overall. I was exhausted at one point and passed out in my chair. I would have missed my flight if the gentleman boarding people hadn't noticed and woke me up to ask if I should be on the flight. I was out so deeply that I hadn't heard any announcements. There wasn't any food on the three flights but a cookie waffle thing and that was all I had during the 13ish hours I was on planes. The staff was super awesome and nice. Space wasn't any different than other planes, but tight on the first flight. I got lucky on the last two."

Cons: "Unexpected, unannounced delay put us into Chicago 30 minutes late. I was scheduled to have a 45 minute layover, now down to 15. I was given no support getting to my next gate, that plane was not held despite the fact that I ran across the terminal to catch it."

Cons: "I didn't like how the flight attendance wasn't so friendly, I felt as if I was a bother to them."

Cons: "Flight was canceled"

Pros: "My mom is disabled and was flying alone. United was amazing. As soon as I pulled near the curb someone was there with a wheelchair. I parked the car and he waited for me. He already checked her in dropped her bag off and was waiting for me. He said that he was going to take my mom through security and bring her all the way to the gate. I was so relieved because I was not able to travel with her but felt she was in good hands."

Cons: "The only negative was that after waiting to taxi (for almost 10 minutes), we received an announcement that it would be a little longer because they realized that the had yet to re-fuel the plane. That was somewhat alarming."

Cons: "My seat assignments were changed and we were at the end of the plane next to the bathroom. I know I didn't put those. I don't like the fact that you have to pay for baggage and there is no food provided other than a drink and some really poor substitute even for peanuts. Southwest at least allows you to have a free baggage. It's not the fault of the pilot but it also is very bumpy. The flight crew was fine and it's just the uncomfortable aspects of having my seat assignment changed and the extra charges for anything that makes it comfortable."

Cons: "Tiny seats. I'm 6'1" and 225. All passengers need more elbow and leg room."

Pros: "Average experience. Mostly pleasant enough."
Cons: "United changed our flight with No chance to object. Then reassigned us to separate seats. We asked to be moved next to each other. We were repeatedly and rudely dismissed 3 times, at 3 different levels, as if we were in the wrong to ask. If not for the kindness of a fellow passenger we would not have flown together. Very poor hospitality training."

Cons: "Terminals were a bit far a part"

Pros: "Nothing, worst flight I've ever had."
Cons: "Dried throw up on the floor in front of my seat.disgusting. SO MANY FLIES IN THE CABIN!!! Crew seemed like they hated their jobs, were NOT attentive. wasn't cleaned at all. Plane smelled. Charge port didn't work. Tray was extremely dirty. It was the worst flight I have ever had and is making me dread flying United back home."

Pros: "Aircraft remained grounded for 1h due to a door switch with malfunction."

Pros: "Crew member was excellent."
Cons: "As the ground staff had trouble loading the luggage in to the booty...plane was stranded on the runway without AC... caused unnecessary delay. We missed the connection."
