Apparently there was WiFi that you could download an app for and watch other stuff, but no good selection at all, and since I had no way to charge my phone, it didn't seem a great idea to waste the battery. Only food for over 4 hours of sitting on the runway and flight was a bag of mini pretzels."

Cons: "The flight was delayed and we spent about an hour just sitting in the plane before we took off. When I expressed concerns aboit making my connecting flight to the front desk representative she stated she didn't have time to help me as she had a plane to board. It was another 20 minutes before she even began to board anyone. She was very abrupt and rude. I had to call AA while sitting on the tarmac to get rebooked which was a more positive experience."

Cons: "This flight was 6 hours. It did not have frontal entertainment, which was not pleasant. They did not offer blankets. The plane was cold as I boarded the plane. I asked for a blanket and was advised they didn't have any. I was so cold the entire flight that I still have a cold due to the flight. I froze the entire flight. I stuffed my arms in my shirt and let my hair down for warmth. Also, I learned my lesson. Pack my own blankie for comfort. I checked my carry on in Aruba due to overhead capacities. My bag had my sweatshirt and the blankie Delta bankie I acquired when I flew from SFO to ATL."

Interestingly, my daughter in Minneapolis knew before we did that our flight was cancelled. Poor communication. My son who was traveling with me was able to get help from Fatima on the "white phone". She got us to Winnipeg on a midnight flight and we then booked a $1400 Delta flight to Minneapolis from there. We needed to be there by 10 am to attend the legal adoption ceremony of my daughter's infant son. It was very close but we made it. Sorry to say but flying is no longer a pleasurable, exciting experience. Janet Davis"

Pros: "Major kudos to the flight attendants on our flight! They really helped is by provinding plant based food despite not pre-ordering it. GreAt job!"

Cons: "They had nothing together. My first flight was delayed so I got in late and my connecting flight was rescheduled for 5 hours later. Their "free meal voucher" for rescheduling amounts to one slice of pizza and no drink. The airport then lost my checked bag and kept me waiting in one room for 4 of those hours to where I was still rushing to catch my next flight. Air Canada then forgot to assign a plane to my new second flight so I waited another 2 hours to board. Once boarded, the airline made us wait another hour while they loaded bags, then unloaded some of the wrong bags thy put on. They then tacked 25 minutes in the wrong direction and we went all the way back. I have never seen so many people rushing the customer service desks because they missed their connecting flights, throughout the entire time I was stuck in Toronto. Additionally, their "in flight movie system" doesn't work unless you rent one of their iPads. It prompts you to download Java Flash player even if you already have it instead of asking to run it. Then once you allow it, you get a 1-2 second animation then the movie breaks. There are similar errors with their music and tv show features, I tried all of these in my laptop and phone."

These guys became loud - as drunks do. It was annoying as we couldn't hear the movie we were watching because those guys were so loud. Any alcohol being served out of meal time either should be charged or put a limit of two max."

Pros: "We were delayed a little over an hour (on the field) before take-off because of information from Toronto that fog was delaying the landing time of the planes. The crew handled this excellently by making sure that we were made comfortable and the pilot gave us several updates as he got the information about take-off for Toronto. On the flight to New York on September 28th, I experienced my first landing where not even a tiny bump was felt when the plane touched the ground."

Air Canada spent little time looking for hotel rooms and told us if we can find one for ourselves they would be willing to give us up to$150 for the room if we saved our receipts. Where can you find a room in Phoenix for $150? You can't. The plane was suppose to leave 6:25pm . This was 9:00pm. No offer of food , drinks nothing. People were tired and hungry. Finally after a lot of complaining, that's when some us were given rooms they gave us vouchers for the hotels restaurant that was closed due to renovations. The agent was to,d this when they reserved the rooms but they lead us to believe there would be food there. We didn't get out until 2:00 pm the next day. And even that flight was late. I was exhausted when I finally reached my destination. I lost over a day of my vacation. I don't want to fly with Air Canada again!!!!!!!!!!"

Cons: "Flight from Paris to Toronto was delayed 4 hours. That automatically caused us to miss our connecting flight from Toronto to Nashville. The 1st flight turned out to be more than 4 hours late. The 2nd flight was delayed as well. Not to mention we were directed many places throughout the Toronto airport trying to locate a boarding pass for the 2nd flight in hopes to make it to Nashville that day. All members of the Air Canada staff were helpful, however traveling for over 20 hours majority of which was spent in foreign airports made for a long and unpleasant day. It would have been different had it been our fault for being late or missing a flight, but we were very early for our international flights which simply added to the amount of time we had to sit, wait, and hope. A coupon was given to us, however being that I live in a different country I don't know how quick I will be able to redeem this."

You should recommend air Canada cancels selling this itinerary or bringing the Newark flight forward to de risk any delays"

The flight was very, very late, which caused me to miss my connecting flight in Toronto. If that were an isolated incident, I would be able to look past it, but every leg of the trip I took was late. The boarding process in Rome was so completely unorganized, it was like being in a giant herd pressed against one another and nobody could move to allow the boarding to proceed as called. It was complete chaos from the earliest part of the trip to the very end."

Also I had wanted to upgrade my seat for this flight but was unable to because there was no representative at the huge airport in Shanghai. Nor could I do it online. That was a huge inconvenience!"

Cons: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."

Cons: "53 minute hold time to call center (before my call was even answered) to order vegetarian meals for flight (the day before flight) -wish that could be done online, vegetarian meal request not transferred to new flight after we missed our initial flight due to first flight delay, lights not working properly for half of flight (sleeping child under spotlight), the pasta dish, collecting garbage in my seat throughout flight (particularly after meal service), cramped seating, lack of entertainment, and they are now charging for alcoholic beverages on international flights. I'm not a big drinker, but I still enjoyed that perk."

Guess what, they all go in the same cargo hold! Then the flight was delayed 4 hours. We finally arrived home at 3:30 am and I had to go to work the next day. I suppose I should be grateful our flight was not cancelled. I forgot to follow the rule about never taking the last flight out of any airport."

I needed to take my daily medication during the flight and was not able to. I have chronic health issues and needed to take it on schedule, I was delayed in getting home because I had to stop and eat in the airport and take my medication"

Cons: "my son was connecting in Newark, and they said they were holding the plane for him and 20 other passengers. when they shuttled them from one plane to the next, they got to the gate on the tarmac and the plane had already left. we had to drive 2 1/2 hours to newark at midnight to get our 18 year old son. when i called united about it, they said to write in on their website and i'd be compensated etc... 5 days later, haven't heard a peep. never flying united again...ever"

Unlike other carriers, United quickly adapted to the reality on the ground and adjusted their schedules accordingly. The result was a safe, comfortable, flight for a very reasonable cost given the very short amount of time I had to make reservations. Thank you!"

Frustrating and adds an element of concern when faced with delays when the weather is fine. The internet on the plane is also confusing to use...should be clearer. Mistakenly booked my flight before realizing the new carry on policy, so trying to pack everything into a tiny bag to meet requirements was frustrating... definitely don't think I will be booking United again."

Cons: "GA called for all "people with disabilities" to board first. How about simply asking for people who need a little extra time...PWD's is a bit of a label that doesn't work for me. While we were boarding the white female FA made a snide comment that maybe passengers should not bring more than one bag. She was also rude to the other FA."

Cons: "2nd leg of flight was delayed by 40 min, so I didn't arrive in Detroit until 12:30 am. Not convenient for the person picking me up at airport! :-("

Cons: "First and last time to fly United. Flight from Washington DC to Seattle was delayed 6.5 hours. Every hour they announced it was delayed another hour. Also, no free entertainment during our 6 hour flight. We were given a $10 food voucher."

Cons: "Service is horrible and all personnel had a do not care attitude. I had 2 flights canceled due to maintenence and then when we finally were rebooked the third plane it was delayed 2 hours and I missed all my connecting flights. Once I arrived at next airport was rebooked again and that plane was delayed for 3 hours."

Pros: "Predictable flight; service was fine, food/bev was standard for a european carrier and better than an American carrier. Seat pitch seemed slightly below average for transcontinental. Boarding was fine. IFE works great. Quick flight. Really liked the little tiny separated economy section in front of the bathrooms. Felt like the economy cabin you find in the upstairs of a 747 or A380."
