Pros: "Crew members were all very pleasant and personable. A very special experience with the local ticket agent / boarding agent (double duty) in Guadalajara: Maria Hernandez (or perhaps Fernandez) who was pleasant, professional, helpful and even called us respectfully by name ("Mr. and Mrs. Petrusek") She is an outstanding representative of American Airlines! Gracias to her!!"
Cons: "Not a thing! We live in Mexico and we usually fly Volaris...I think AA just became our favorite airline!"

Pros: "Crew was great. Made it to destination 39 minutes earlier than expected"

Pros: "The crew was amazing but I was on a United flight since American was late leaving Athens. AA booked me on a later flight from Chicago to San Francisco on United. They issued separate inside seats for my wife and I. United showed me their kindness by putting us together in economy Plus."
Cons: "I don't blame American for being late but putting me on a United flight and splitting up my wife and I seperate seats was a little under the bar."

Cons: "Boarding the way there, they did not honor my AA Advantage card to board earlier because my boarding pass did not say so. Even after seeing it said so in the computer system, they refused to honor it. So this time, I gave up and boarded with the last group. No prior warning was given that this plane would not allow for carry on luggage in overhead bins. Further were no charging ports on board, no free WiFi, no adjustable headrests, and the seats did not recline. There were no kosher cookies."

Cons: "The gate area was way too crowded. No seats available for over three gates over, and then the announcement for boarding was made with a very lousy microphone...."

Pros: "Breakfast on GDL-DFW and movie"
Cons: "One hour delay on account of missing signatures from some mechanic according to the captain’s weak and shallow account of the facts. Flew with a 1st class upgrade to DFW and upon missing the connection to DSM (imputable to AA) I would have expected AA to have me await my later conection (3 hrs AA 2488) in the Admiral’s club especially after having paid for the upgrade. Instead, the bozo at the Admiral’s Club entrance in Terminal A A23 indicated that only Mexico City passengers were allowed into the Club even if as a GDL passenger I had a 1st class boarding pass. Poor and misguided management of the moment of truth on behalf of your employee with a 1 Million Miler customer. My experience recently with Delta and United has been with more open minded, customer centric and better trained airline staff. Disappointing and hope someone will read this and let me know that my note was heard. What is next?"

Pros: "AA provided free snacks and drinks at boarding gate. Courteous staff."
Cons: "Flight was on and off regarding time of departure. Received at least three alerts that the plane was delayed 1/2 hr then on time then delayed. We had to take a bus to the plane and sat on tarmac for several minutes until our flight disembarked."

Pros: "The entertainment choices were very good. It made traveling with children easier."
Cons: "The crew. It seems that the US crew has gotten used to treating customers like animals and giving treats to deplane or calling security is a norm now. They seem to forget that they are working in a service industry. On our flight which was international and long they had quarantined the entire back rows for themselves and one of the bathrooms was also for their use only. In addition they had two choices for the meal they served Chicken and Pasta and they mentioned to customers that they had run out of Chicken. One of the passengers in our group of seven could not eat pasta as she had dietary restrictions after surgery and they told her too bad and she should have ordered a special meal. When she spoke up she was threatened with security. This person is a respected physician in her community and understands the service industry well. The worse part is the crew then proceeded to eat chicken dinners right behind her seat and continued to talk rudely about her. They had not run out of chicken meals just kept them for themselves. It seems American Airlines spends lots of advertising dollars about choosing to fly with them but is forgetting to train their staff about being nice to passengers."

Cons: "They made a horrible mistake by getting the bag count or weight wrong and we had to go back to the gate and it cost us 2 1/2 hours."

Pros: "The gate attendants and on-board crew were lovely. Pilots provided info which was great and made up some of the long delay."
Cons: "There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late,that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide."

Pros: "Amazingly, the flight wasn't full and the stewardess let my wife, 2 month old son and me have the last row."

Cons: "They cancelled my flight "due to weather" when the storm wasn't to hit the destination for more than 6 hours AFTER arrival. I was stranded in PHX for TWO DAYS WITHOUT compensation."

Cons: "Having to pay for luggage under the plane. I booked my flight 3 months in advance to sit with my wife and we got switched, fortunately I asked the man next to her to trade me seats. I ve flown to Managua about 7 or 8 times with American Airlines and this was my least favorite flight. People take up the space in the overhead compartments above my seat almost all the time then there is no space for mine."

Pros: "There's nothing good about AA"
Cons: "One of the few things SouthWest, Alaska & United did was the proper queuing of people to get into the plane. AA is a free for all - those who follow regulations will fall behind. In this flight from Boston to LAX - I heard there were 80 Priority checking - are you kidding me. Group 1 does not help if I have 80 Priority seating and one family took 12 people in with one elderly. It's good to place Elderly and Military up front first - but to take the Whole entire family - that's not fair - you have 8 able bodies who should be in line with the rest of the crowd. Also who heard of 80 Priority check ins - normally, that's Group 1. Never flying AA unless I a desperate."

Cons: "Felt like an old domestic flight. No Wifi and screens in the center that are hard to see from the window seats."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed and then cancelled. We were given new flights the next day 8/20/16 and that was delayed for a few more hours. We wasted a day and a half at the airport and our hotel for the first night could not be refunded."

Cons: "I tried to switch my flight to an earlier time. First, they charge $75 (Southwest is always free). Second, the gate agent charged me and let me board, but her boss came on the plane and pulled me off because I wasn't Executive Platinum status! The plane took off with an empty seat and I had to wait two more hours for the first flight. When I complained to AA about it, they sent me a $50 voucher. I don't plan on giving any business to AA for the rest of my life."

Pros: "Leg room on the regional jet actually was better than that of a larger plane."
Cons: "We were summoned to the gate area with an announcement that boarding would start in 5 minutes; this turned out to be L-O-N-G before boarding began. After standing around for at least 30 minutes with no information as to what was happening, departure time was delayed several times. This was around lunch time; when I finally decided to buy lunch in the terminal, the departure time was changed again to an EARLIER time, and I had to board without food."

Pros: "Just another 4 hour delay featuring United. By the time we took off the storm in Toronto had started and it completely ruined my plans."

Cons: "The plane was late, I request wheal chair for my mother because she can't see for one eye no more and only 30% can see on her good eye and in Houston she was lost inside the aeroport because no one take care of my mother , yes lost for almost two hours, very very disappoint , I always book thru Kayak and never complaint, this time very disappointed , Glad my mother is okay"

Ive always ignored the bad press about united and taken them anyway but I'm starting to see why they are receiving the bad reputation permanently."

Cons: "Not getting a confirmation email or check-in reminder. No working wifi or power docks on plane (marketed as having in-seat entertainment). Moved to the back of the plane with no recline and destroying my back after telling them I need at least minimal recline. Out of most food options upon being served last and given a soggy undressed chicken wrap for 12.00. Finally, the gate dock was not able to connect with the plane upon arrival yeilding a 30 minute delay at the gate. Unapologetic crew simply ready to turn onto the next flight. This is why I don't fly united."

Pros: "The Air NZ FLight from Aickland to San Francisco was operated by United Airlines. The seat had excellent leg room. The attendants were very pleasant and available throughout."
Cons: "When I first border the plane there was another passes egg in my allocated seat. The selection of movies available was only okay. their is only a minimal number of toilets for the number of passengers and one of them was out of paper when I went or use it. But they were always clean."

Pros: "The flight attendents were attentive and did a great job."
Cons: "Customer service was rude to us about our carry on. It was fine on the way to Boston, but made to pay and check it on the way back. other customers had bags our size but we we're rudely told "you need to go pay for your bag that's it". The bag fit effortlessly in the top on the way there."
