Also, in regard to myself, I was sitting in an Exit Row and the flight attendant came over to ask unless individually if we were willing and able to handle our responsibilities. Before each of us was ready to answer he said OK, turned around and left. What would have happened if we had a problem and someone in the Exit Rows had a concern?"

I got seated next to a gentleman who happened to be too big for his own seat and basically sat in half of my seat for the entire flight. I got half of a seat when I paid for a full one. I couldn’t put the armrest down because it went into his stomach so I had to have someone ontop of me for over 2 hours. It was very uncomfortable and just my luck the guy LOVED to talk. Talked the entire flight took out his phone and showed me all of his pictures. Video chatted his entire family while on the flight and didn’t bother to use the headphones he brought with him. So the entire flight go to hear his mother call him 15 times throughout the flight asking why he wasn’t taking a nap. It was honestly ridiculous. I put headphones in my ears and the guy still continued to talk to me. I tried to close my eyes and pretend to sleep that didn’t work. I had to keep running to the bathroom to just stand in there for some peace and quiet."

I know it is the holidays so its busy, and unexpected situations do arise during these times especially, so at least the credit provided some positive relief to the disappointment."
Cons: "I understand that maintaince is a necessary and usual part of flying planes every day, that said, I had booked the earlier flight for the purpose and intention of getting into Boston earlier to spend more time with my family but arriving 5 hours later than expected was disappointing. Needless to say, the traffic getting out of Boston at 4pm on a Tuesday only added insult to injury. This was also the second time that I had an underwhelming experience overall flying Jetblue so that added to the disappointment."

Said It was our fault we were in wrong line to check our bags bc we had not read the sign that clearly said if we were pre-checked we should have waited 10 yards to the right. She refused to take our bags in the full sevice line until other passengers deferred and insisted our bags be checked In ahead of them since we had been waiting longer. There were not enough people to staff the bars in the JFK terminal before our flight boarded. Waited 15 minutes for one bartender to return from break. At next bar, in front of gate #16 there was no bartender. After 15 minutes someone appeared, only to take orders and disappear. Finally got a drink at a restaurant, nearby, but they said the drink had to be consumed there, not taken in the plane. No alcohol was offered on the plane between JFK and Burlington. Baggage crew ripped the handle off my Rimowan luggage."

Paying extra for comfort plus was not worth it. Our seats had walls between them instead of arm rests that could move which did not make it comfortable for our wide bodies.

The flight departed late and the interior temperature was very cold for the first hour of the flight. Eventually it warmed up to a normal temperature. The crew was great. My seat in comfort class was comfortable. There was no food served---only snacks.

The flight attendants were happy!

So much space!

Wasn't a very good selection of entertainment. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable.

I’ve flown multiple times this summer during Covid, having that middle seat vacant has made traveling by air for me a very good, comfortable thing again. Don’t ever go back to packing us in like cattle car flights!!"

So the questions are- why don’t the airport hold a larger inventory of parts, why aren’t there back up planes and why doesn’t the software better cope with these types of situations?"

I paid $150 for an Uber at 4 pm. At 6:37, I got an email with news of a two hour delay. I would’ve appreciated an earlier notice. But much worse was the boarding experience. As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

We did not have to wear stupid masks!

Delayed original flight multiple times. Then rebooked us on a flight from Miami. Sat thru an hour and a half taxi ride through rush hour. During check-in none of the terminals worked and all passengers had to wait in huge lines for manual processing. Once aboard the plane we waited for two hours for mechanical issues. Finally they tell us to leave the plane walk to the other end of another gate in the airport for a few plane only to discover it isn't scheduled to leave for another hour. I never would have purchased this flight. Because of all this I missed dinner and I have dietary restrictions that eliminate most food available in an airport. Other health issues keeping me stressed and up this late for a red eye flight will almost certainly trigger a migraine ruining my vacation. On top of all this I'm still paying full price!

Flight was no more than average. On time,, clean, decent beverage service, OK landing.

Entertainment options were great! You had my tomato juice choice thank you. The boarding was so fast and efficient that we took off earlier than our flight time. Thank you for allowing a carry on and personal item without charging What could be better: on the flight to Florida both my cup and my friends cup broke and the juice from mine and water from hers leaked. The plastic is very fragile.

For the umpteenth time, the airlines did not pick-up my TSA Precheck on my app boarding pass

No prior warning was given that this plane would not allow for carry on luggage in overhead bins. Further were no charging ports on board, no free WiFi, no adjustable headrests, and the seats did not recline. There were no kosher cookies."

From my flight being delayed multiple times by air china to the overly packed united to the confusion of the non updated confirmation numbers or the e-ticket number. Even on the day I left upon arriving to the airport my confirmation number they had just given me after all the prior problems still didn't work. Air china had mediocre food with okay entertainment except my headset jack on the TV was broke and I couldn't watch anything. On the last air china flight from Bejing to Bangkok. I couldn't even charge my phone, watch any entertainment and basically was just stuck with no WiFi. Justfly wouldn't compensate for the changes on their end and said I myself would have to ask the airlines for compensation which the.the airlines directed me no where for compensation or even to upgrade my seat. Now I'm finally in Thailand but I'm scared of my return."

Pros: "The price was unreal so I had to jump on this, I was able to get on and off with my backpack no problem. The flights were good, captains were very communicative about times, expectations and when turbulence was present."
Cons: "The check in had to be done in person because of the need to check my bag size, I felt a little insulted that I would have to be checked on my honesty. When I got to the check in it was like watching a special forces team measuring and prodding peoples bags to get them in to the little box even when the shapes were the reason they couldn't fit, not the size of the bags. I literally watched someone fit their bag and the attendant take it out and make it misshaped for the box and show how it didn't slide in. I had no issues with my luggage, but that sucked to watch happen to others. The food and drinks came about 10 minutes before the plane landed."

Thank god I packed light and didn't need to use that option. Good to know United Airlines has crappy everything."

The people checking in did not seem to care about the delay and only told us to be patient. Sad, unfortunate experience with accessibility issues."

Cons: "United only had one person working to check people in, and due to a lady with 8+ bags that the only agent had to take 20+ minutes with (while the line stacked up behind us), we ended up missing the first leg of our flight. Told us our bags would be checked all the way through, and they weren't. Checked bag got lost on the way back (again, due to misinformation from United on whether our bag would be checked all the way through), and when we got them back they had obviously been rooted through, with no note left by TSA. I fly often, and this was one of the worst flying experiences of my life."

Also got complimentary directtv - nice, but doesn't make up for not getting home in time yet again."
Cons: "United sucks. I have flown it maybe 10-12 times in the past 2.5 years, mostly back and forth between Chicago and Boston. I have had only 3 round trip flights go without a hitch. Every other trip was delayed. This time 4 hours on my return flight to Boston due to a plane switch, boarding of a new plane to discover a mechanical issue, deboarding, waiting for a new plane, then boarding and sitting on the ground for another 40 min before we were able to take off. I was delayed 1.5 hours on the way to Chicago due to another plane swap (no joke). Still doesn't top but my worst 5 hour delay in Chicago on the way back to Boston because the captain didn't show up. United is atrocious and is my last choice or any airline. Only fly when I'm absolutely forced to now due to no other reasonable choices. They are below delta, JetBlue, American, southwest, and embarrassingly, spirit as well. Terrible."

The United counter people are blaming it on the weather. I am sure everything was delayed by the laxadaysical baggage loader. The one person ( or lack of help loading the bags on the plane completely altered my travel plans. I requested assistance for hotel only to be told they are full when in fact several are vacant on the Internet. I should of videotaped the baggage loading in Canada, it would of went viral."

I ran all the way to my gate to discover that the plane took off 10 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. I was told there were no other flights to LA and I would have to get a hotel until tomorrow. I was only going to be in California for 2 days so every second counts, so when I became upset the man checked again and found me a seat on a plane that took off in an hour. I was grateful but at the same time I was kind of displeased that he didn't offer that to me originally."

She literally treated me like a child. - NOT COOL. Overall, in comparison to my last international flight, I WOULD NOT recommend United. I feel like I paid too much for my experience with United. Aer Lingus has better/newer aircraft, better cabin crew, better entertainment selections to include music and a selection of movies to watch at your convenience, more comfortable seats, provide a better environment, and a better value for your experience. Aer Lingus was also cheaper. So if you are reading this, please shop around if you are considering United to fly."

Cons: "At least 12 delay changes due to mechanical failure. Original departure was around 3pm on Sunday then it changed to 830pm, past midnight then 1 pm Monday. The gate staff was not trained to deal with customer service disputes. We were poorly informed about statuses. A food voucher was given to us minutes before any restaurant closed so I couldn't use it. I ended up booking another flight with another carrier. When the after midnight delay notification was rendered, I called the outsourced customer service and received no recourse for my inconvenience. Not even a comp checked bag. I was given two $50 vouchers but I don't plan to ever use them again. I'd rather have my refund plus the difference for the other flight and rental car I took just to get home. I also have lost wages."

I just know that we began boarding closer to 2:40 than the 2:20 mentioned, which also led to a bit of a rushed boarding to get the flight out in time. I know a lot of flights go through there so it wouldn't surprise me if there were mini-plane-traffic-jams."

If they could have I am sure they would have charged me 25 dollars for a seat-belt and charged me 10 dollars for using the airplanes bathroom. They are the epitome of money grubbing cheapskates. this is not to mention the seats being at least 4 inches closer together than any other plane I have ever been on. crammed in their like sardines. Spirit airlines is a complete pile of $hit and I will never be flying with them again."

It wasn't like the line was to check in, it was only to drop the bags and it took forever. Very poor service and I feel so sorry for the people that we're headed to Texas and Missed their 7 o'clock flight. I find it also misadvertisement that we paid $49 for the flight one way and then had to pay $55 for the carry-on. Really the flight was for $104. Next time I will check for all and any options instead of Spirit and be willing to pay more money To go with another airline."

Cons: "There was no indication anywhere in the reservation process of the costs of bag checks and the "privilege" of a carry on. I was also never sent an email prompting me to check in online and check bags there. (I'm told it's rather cheap if you do it that way) Instead, I was greeted with a 49 dollar fee for my carry on, and 53 dollar fee for my checked bag. That was bumped up another 30 dollars when I discovered bags above 45 lbs are charged extra on spirit. I ended spending more than twice the value of my ticket just for bags, for markups I was never told of and could not of reasonably anticipated as a consumer. This, combined with less than professional conduct from spirit flight attendants, fellow passengers, and the ridiculously uncomfortable conditions on the plane, means I will never be flying with spirit again, and will trust kayak much less. As a comprehensive trip planning service, kayak should be able to generate plane travel costs, and have options to include associated costs such as baggage, with the price of the ticket in flight price tracking. This is a necessary feature for any company that provides a service like Kayak."

Thankfully the attendant moved me up to Row 11 which was totally empty. I do NOT like sitting in the back of the plane and that is why I try to purchase a seat over or forward of the wing. NOT a happy camper over this."

By the time my turn came, it was 8.50 and the agent said I am late as the gate closes 8.45 AM. There is no mention in the itinerary that the gate closes 30 minutes before departure and I was there 45 minutes before the take off. I didn't get a next flight. Now, I can't even cancel the return flight and I lost all the money for the trip. I called the customer service and they said they cant do anything except to book another ticket the next day. Why do they think I would ever travel with them again!!"

Cons: "Online check-in did not work, app check-in did not work, kiosk check-in did not work. Despite efforts to save money, I was forced to pay over $110 in additional fees. Service counter attendants were not friendly. I asked if I could fly standby on an earlier flight since I had gotten to the airport 4 hours early. I was told "This is not Southwest, you can't get on an earlier plane without paying $120 for it". Flight was changed to a new gate but wasn't updated on the monitor. I had to check flight aware to see what gate we were at. Flight attendants were rude and boasted about being the youngest flight crew in the sky, which is nothing to boast about. There are many veterans of the sky that exhibit amazing customer service and flight expertise. This Moto degrades those who have spent 20 + years in the sky making sure we are safe and comfortable. I would rather have a former fighter pilot with combat experience flying my plane. So spirit airlines, do I think you being young is an advantage over the other airlines, No. I care about customer service and safety. And I have yet to feel that from your airline. From the check-in counter to the flight attendants, the staff treats customers without respect and then charges you for it. I'm done."
Cons: "The staff was rude to us during boarding and they seemed to care less about helping people board. For example, we were trying to find a space in the overhead compartment, the flight attendant in the back of the plane was on her cell phone and she said "just keep looking for space." WOW!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed 5+ hours. The staff in the gate at the Atlanta airport were not trained well in how to handle situations like this. It took a very angry, frustrated group of customers venting to get them to try to get better updates than just reciting the time delay. We were to have left at 5:35, essentially dinner time. They didn't offer food vouchers or coffee/water, nothing until their PAYING CUSTOMERS became irate at the lack of information. After 3+ hours, they finally had people wait in line and they handed out 14.00 food vouchers, which was a pathetic response to the issue."

Sure they charge for drinks but I'd rather pay $3.50 for a coke than pay $150 to get it free on Delta. Seats were snug but so are Delta and American seats on most flights so I'm used to that and it was comfortable. And very cheap to upgrade to exit aisle or business class if more room is needed - which I did on the flight home because I had to work on my laptop. Staff was GREAT!"

Somehow the baggage choices I made at booking did not register and you made sure I paid double at check in. You crew member James in Atlanta was rude and unhelpful. We couldn't understand what he was saying to us and when we asked him a question he was obviously annoyed that we spoke and let us know it. I manage a company with 90 employees in a sales enviroment and he would not work for me 10 minutes. Your business model is disingenuous at best and ends up being a rip-off. You advertise low rates on Kayak and other sites that say nothing about your baggage fees and extra charges. Only after the flight is booked do you find out about the extra, and may I say ridiculous, baggage charges. When the final bill is tallied any other airline would have been cheaper and the service would have been better. This was my first and LAST Spirit flight."

The crew was unenthusiastic, unhelpful, and borderline rude; I was forced to return to my seat multiple times while waiting to enter the bathroom, although other passengers were allowed to move freely. The bathroom in the front of the aircraft was out of service. No complimentary snack or drink is offered; you must pay for the limited selection of snacks and beverages avaialable. Everything from the seats to the menus were tattered; the pouch in back of the seat in front of me has not been cleaned before the flight so to my surprise, I found garbage as I reached for my menu. There is no form of entertainment available; no radio, televisions, or wifi. Nothing about the flight was pleasant and if it had not been the only direct flight available for my destination at the time, I would not have chosen Spirit. This was my first and, hopefully, last time flying with Spirit, barring an extenuating circumstances. You get what you pay for and with Spirit, that's not much."
Pros: "Boarding was ok"
Cons: "Extra charges for everything, not even a free soft drink. There was a lady with 2 kids sitting directly behind us that talked the whole flight from Atlanta to New Orleans. It was rough."
Pros: "The crew. They were nice and respectful."
Cons: "There are kits of fees that you are not aware of until the day of the flight. I can't believe they charge $55 for a carry-on and they don't even give you water in the plane!"

Cons: "It felt like I was knickeled n dimed every time I wanted something I was charged not a big fan of that style of flying"
Pros: "There was a Hispanic gentlemen who told jokes over the intercom and was very nice to passengers"
Cons: "In general, the flight crew seemed jittery, restless, chattery. They seemed unaware that it was an early morning flight, and passengers might be trying to sleep. The lights were turned on halfway through the flight, which seemed inappropriate for those who wanted a quiet morning to sleep. I was in the last seat in the back, and the flight crew would keep shifting around their own luggage in a disruptive way, chatting at a higher volume than appropriate for sleeping passengers. And collecting trash every five minutes seems a bit much. Overall, the experience was the worst flight experience I ever had."
Pros: "Cost of ticket I gave good review because the staff was very nice quick and easy boarding and unboarding. No entertainment or food was chosen for this trip"
Cons: "That it was cheaper to ship my bag home than to get it on the plane"

Cons: "Check in at Atlanta airport was a mess - there were several lines and it was not clear which line i should take to check in for my flight. Despite i arrived 2 hours before take off, I almost missed the flight."
Pros: "I like getting out of the airport and vowing to never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "Spirit's computer system had an "error" which marked me as a security risk. I had to go through intensive security screening TWICE. I was given a hand written ticket that was not honored at the gate stating their computer error has blocked me from flying. With this status I was unable to take my flight or rebook one. Luckily I got a full refund. Definately not worth the hassle and airport drama I will NEVER fly this airline again. I feel sorry for their employees who have to deal with such a shitty system."
Pros: "Someone was in my seat and had to wait till one minute before take off"
Pros: "If you're interested in a quick flight- UNDER $300 almost ANYWHERE**, THIS is the airlines to fly.. It's simple, fast, and got to my destination with little to no hiccups*"
Cons: "Wow, the comments below are all similar.. Look, Prices should be announced as: (ex) Atl to Orlando $160+baggage.. <--- I've heard SO MANY complaints from passengers about baggage fees.. Look, If it's one of the only ways to get extra income, then a simple carryon fee for $25 should be attached accross the board* Even IF someone didn't have a carry on, the $25 should still be within the ticket- THAT WAY, you won't have disgruntled customers having to cough up an extra $50-100+ at the check-in.. AFTER they probably spent too much on their travel.. (Not saying only poor people take Spirit, but there IS a reason people fly with them.. Because it's supposed to be economical*"
Pros: "The flight I ended up taking was quick and actually left on time"
Cons: "I had a 6 am flight. At 5 am we were told that it would be delayed until 10:30. At 8 we were told it would be delayed until 11:30. At 11:20 they announce that our plane landed and just needed to unload and get cleaned and we could start boarding shortly. Two minutes claret we were told the flight was cancelled. They told us everyone would fit on the 3:49 flight that would arrive in Orlando at 4:10. By that time I was tired of waiting and just wanted to get to Orlando so I asked to get on the flight to Tampa that was leaving at 12:15. The airline wouldn't get me a flight that was with delta that would have leaf at 6:55. They only offered a seat on one of their later flights, a refund, or a $7 meal voucher. That meal voucher wasn't even enough to cover the cost of a bagel and coffee. Also when I purchased the ticket it didn't say anything about paying for a carry-on bag. When I got to the airport I found out I had to pay $55 to take my carry-on. This was my worst flight experience."
Cons: "Seats are to close and small no space between the three not a happy camper"
Pros: "The low price flight ticket, until I realized it was $50 to check my bag. Would've rather flown a MUCH nicer carrier with half the bag price. Not likely to fly again unless it's crazy cheap for a short distance."

Cons: "I had no contact with flight attendant, and how could gate attendant let people on a flight that was nor schedule for the flight. I didn't like to be charged for every single thing, like printing a boarding pass."
Pros: "Nothing, Pure bait and switch! The only thing about no frills, was the no frills! No anything, charge for everything, before you are done you pay more than other airlines, with horrendous service,(they don't talk on the phone to you, even to check in!), terrible personality of employees, seats that are plastic and Naugahyde, that don't recline. No food on board, at any cost except for chips and drinks for outrageous costs, no entertainment,(not even an airline magazine!) All of this because of low fairs, that are all bait and switch! Deplorable! As an ex flight attendant, that has flown thousands of miles during my flying career, and thousands since, this was the worst experience I have Ever had!"
