This airline is not worth the terrible customer experience even if it is actually cheaper... and often it’s not. By the time you factor in the luggage fees ($26-$45 per bag per leg, not per way!) and other money you spend compensting for the crappy takeoff and arrival times, you’re paying just ad much as you would for a much more comfortable experience on a much more reasonable schedule.
Crew was very friendly and attentive. Pilot kept us informed of weather and turbulence.
Baggage fees are ridiculous, and will keep me from using Spirit moving forward. Food options left something to be desired for a 5 hour flight. Flight/gate change updates were sent after I was boarded.
Some passengers did not have cards with them Spirit accepted no cash payments. 65$ charged for a carry on bag at the gate, awful.
Plane was clean and seemed new
No power outlets no tray large enough to place a laptop
Sprit unfortunately isn’t the most accommodating airline to fly with. The whole experience was not great.
