More food options. The flight attendants aren’t friendly. Customer service lacks once boarded.
I booked my flight business class trip to Thailand with kayak, but my final leg from Seattle to Denver was not processed correctly though Kayak (according to Qatar Airways). As such my first class ticket for a three hour flight turned into a 9 hour flight from Seattle Anchorage to Denver economy middle seat and no one is willing to answer what happened or take responsibility!!
Continual delays adding up to 1:45 minutes. 4 or 5 gate changes. Paid for premium seating and lost that due to plane change to turboprop. I made it home!
My initial flight was cancelled (reason wasn't given), but Alaska Airlines rebooked me on the next flight right away, no problems whatsoever!
I didn’t like the two hours and more of delay
Pros: "Everyone was friendly"
Cons: "Twice we sat on the ramp waiting for a gate agent to open the gate (for more than 15 minutes). They cancelled my flight and rescheduled me on an earlier one then waiting for the gate on arrival meant that they were calling me on the PA to report to the next gate when we got off of the first plane. The wifi entertainment glitched out every time the flight crew made an announcement. There was no food on either flight and only four beverage choices on a 1 hour flight. The lines were crazy long at the ticket counter in PDX (where I went to try to sort out my cancelled flight). The text assistance first said wait 30-35 minutes and then, after 20 minutes or so said that it was going to close my chat due to inactivity (but no one had responded yet, of course there was no activity). Overall, it was a very lousy experience. Pre-pandemic Alaska was usually a pleasure to fly, post-pandemic Alaska was excruciating at every turn. Quite a disappointment."
Cons: "Nothing just great"
Pros: "The gate crew made several announcements about face mask requirements."
Cons: "Once boarding began, there was no attention paid to distancing guidelines. I never heard anyone being directly reprimanded or corrected for not wearing a mask or not covering their nose while boarding or walking around the cabin. I was very surprised to find out the flight was 100% full. Every seat was filled. I thought airlines were taking precautions to provide space for passengers by leaving some seats empty. I felt very unsafe flying in a 100% full flight where no control for masks was taking place. This was my first time flying during COVID and I had thought airlines were doing more to instill trust in customers to keep customers flying but I will not be flying again until COVID is over as I did not see precautions keeping customers safe."
Pros: "The flight left on time and arrived early."
Cons: "The flight was nearly full. They announced this and said that if anyone was uncomfortable being seated next to someone not in their party (due to COVID concerns) they would book them on the next available flight. At that point, you're really kinda stuck hoping the person your seated next to is taking the proper precautions, but you are not "social distanced" during the flight. I don't consider myself a COVID prude, but I will stick with Southwest Airlines during this pandemic. They are keeping their flights at 2/3 capacity in order to maintain distance among passengers on their flights."
Pros: "Crew were attentive and courteous."
Cons: "Arriving in New Orleans was chaotic. The airport was fresh off renovations. FAIL! Reader boards for baggage claim were inoperative, so no one understood where their bags might come out. After an hour, we found ours and made our way towards what used to be rental car check in. Found there was now a shuttle bus system to get to rental counters, but waited in line outside with our three bags for 30+ minutes just to get on the shuttle. After a 15-minute ride, we finally arrived at the old rental check in/garage area. Bottom line, it took over two hours from arrival to finally being able to leave the airport."
Pros: "Check in and crew were friendly and helpful. Was in first class so of course was comfortable. Deplaning was quick and efficient."
Cons: "This flight required taking a shuttle from the gate to an offsite location. The distance to the offside was rather far and we were packed in a shuttle. We had to wait for two more shuttles for passengers that were in delayed connections. Additionally, someone apparently filled the plane with too much fuel, throwing off the balance of the plane and we had to wait for some of the fuel to be removed. During this wait, in first class we were only offered orange juice or coffee. I realize it was a very short flight, but a snack might have been a good idea."
Cons: "Boarding can be little more faster"
Pros: "I've never had such efficient boarding - I wish we could have taken off early! I loooove that there is finally a direct flight from Seattle to Pittsburgh, which I travel between at least twice a year. I will likely continue to use Alaska Airlines for this service from now on."
Cons: "In-flight entertainment embedded in the plane would have been great. I also think it's ridiculous to automatically put your super saver customers in the very last seat, especially if there are a lot of other seats available. Make the experience great for everyone right off the bat!"
Pros: "The flight was smooth from take off to landing."
Cons: "No entertainment on the plane. I saw a number of people trying to find ways to prop up and watch their phones. We recently flew on Virgin and the entertainment option were plentiful."
Pros: "Service and flight were really great"
Cons: "Leg room is nice, if the seats were about an inch or two wider it would have made a huge difference."
Cons: "Two rows up from us, I kid threw up all over the center aisle as we were pulling away from the gate. We returned to the gate to allow a cleaning crew to board and clean. However, the cleaning job was rushed and left remnants of the throw up behind which smelled the whole 2.5 hour flight. It really felt unsanitary and unsafe being that it’s unknown what caused the child to get sick. It very well could have been a stomach virus and could have infected the people in rows around the incident due to the mediocre cleaning job. I understand that it’s important to keep flights on-time, especially for connecting flights, but the safety of the passengers and their health should ALWAYS be the #1 priority."
Pros: "The plane was comfortable with a fair amount of seating leg room. This was the last leg of our return home and this was a welcome flight after the 14 hour flight we had previously."
Cons: "The process of passport control and customs upon return from an International flight was busy, but went well. The baggage claim and line to exit the baggage claim area to get to our next connection was utter chaos. There were so many people and it took time to figure exactly where the end of the line was once we had our baggage. The organization of this portion of the travel process needs to be reviewed and made easier to navigate. The Alaska terminal doesn't have near enough seating and people have to stand or sit on the floor. Food choices are limited and poor."
Pros: "Everything was great! This was my first time flying Alaska Air and I could not have had a better trip! Everything ran according to schedule, I was comfortable during the flight, slept the entire time, staff was great!"
Cons: "The woman making announcements did not specifically announce the duration of the flight as we were departing. I was able to figure it out on the map option on the screen, but I would've liked to hear it verbally. Only suggestion I would have is an announcement on the plane for which baggage claim belt our luggage would come out of. I may not have heard it though, if there was an announcement. It was not difficult at all to figure out once I was in the baggage claim area, however if this was known while we were still on the flight, I prefer to know this info!"
Pros: "Not much to like this time around"
Cons: "Boarding attendants announced that the flight was delayed just 10 minutes before boarding time because of weather. Flight was from Seattle to Los Angeles and the weather was clear on the flight path. Two hours later, an announcement was made that it was actually because of congestion at the airport (poor planning) and yet, they did not offer anything to the passengers for the inconvenience. We boarded the plane two hours late, only to sit on the tarmac for another 40 minutes. This situation could have been handled so much better by Alaska Airlines."
Pros: "I did not feel well on this flight and had a great experience. The crew was very helpful and kind and attended to my needs."
Pros: "leg room, drinks, seat recline, direct flight, air, lighting"
Cons: "attempting a movie on my laptop, it could only stutter, and took two hours to get through 51 minutes of the film (I read captions); my neighbor was not a large woman, but nonetheless couldn't help elbowing me often; you're not responsible for poor parenting, but the family ahead and behind (same family) was loud and complaining; the flight was switched to another plane so our original one could take passengers to Cabo (Mexico); we had no water in the restrooms; food shouldn't be an additional purchase on longer flights, nor should baggage check"
Cons: "3 times in the last 10 years i have had flights with this airline from portland twice an seattle once everytime they have some excuse about air crews an the flights leave 2 hours late after a long layover this has been a problem for a long time if i knew the right people like in the faa to call i would . honestly i seriously recommend to do not fly this air line to spokane unless you are desperate .once ok twice wait a second three times two different citys there is something here an it need fixed yesterday"
Cons: "I was given an option to change my seat at the check in kiosk, after selecting a different seat it told me they could not change my seat at that time. As soon as I boarded I asked one of the flight crew in the back if it was possible to purchase a cheese platter as I was really looking forward to it and was already hungry since I was trying to save room for it. She explained it was a first come first serve... By the time the lady got to the back she stood there for a while gossiping with another traveler without even glancing over at us and was holding our commentary cookies in her hand. She finally acknowledged us and when I asked for the cheese platter I was informed they had sold out... At that point I was HUNGRY and tired and honestly irritated that we had to sit there for several minutes without being acknowledged so she could gossip with a passenger. I ended up having to buy a box that I really didn't like but I didn't want to be cranky cuz I was hungry and I needed to eat something. Also, I had a middle seat ALL the way in the back of the plane next to a crying baby, which I couldn't change even though I was "given the option to." I have a difficult time flying if I can't see out the window. That just added to the irritation of the situation :/ I fly Alaska a lot and I was surprised at how bad this flight experience was..."
Pros: "Nice and easy"
Pros: "The lavatory was clean."
Cons: "They changed my seats without telling me, even the day before my itinerary said I was in the first row of First Class by the window with my partner's seat right beside me and they switched it because of some policy that forbids dogs yet couldn't let me know that in July when I booked this and spoke to a representative on the phone to confirm I was even allowed to bring a dog on board. And even then they made me feel like it was not possible and had to stow my dog below in cargo because only one dog could be in the First Class section, and again I was never told that in that moment I couldn't have my dog in the first row. Also, the representative was very clear I had to have a health certificate for my dog to fly and not only did that cost me a large deal of money and time at the veterinarian's office, but no one ever even inquired to see it. I wasted time and money for no reason other than the incompetence exhibited by Alaskan Airlines, and it's surprising to have such consistent subpar service. Especially when you're paying for First Class. Also, your food on flight had several allergens in them. Even your choice of cookie for passengers had two different types of soy. This is a common food allergy. Needless to say, I'll be flying with another airline for my trips to Alaska, as this is not my only one planned."
Cons: "The food is just terrible and we sat in first class. There was an only one choice and if you're a vegetarian, forget it, you won't be eating. The choice was a chicken salad that had a fishy taste. Your choices are better if you purchase a meal."
Cons: "Free white wine is not a benefit when it is served warm and is poor quality. I Don't normally drink wine with ice, but thought that ice may improve the flavor. Flight attendant snapped at me "we don't have ice"! i don't fly Alaska Air often so not sure if the lack of ice was a one time thing or they never offer ice On short flights (SEA-PDX) either way, It was not not drinkable. Flight attendant would not take it back because she said she didnt have garbage. Did not offer me an alternative aka water! I was stuck holding a ful glass of warm wine until she came back around."
Pros: "Boarding was efficient, seat was comfortable. I appreciate that food and drinks were offered often."
Cons: "One particular flight attendant purposely ignored me when I tried to ask for cream and sugar for my coffee which she did not offer when handing out drinks. Then she looked right at me twice as I tried to give her my garbage which she was collecting, but she ignored me again and left me holding my garbage until a different flight attendant came much later and took it without incident. It made me wonder if it was because I looked Asian- she was helpful and polite to the white women next to me. I was polite and was not being difficult in any way. I'm half white, but was often treated like this in Illinois when I was growing up. She should have been professional and if she had I would have rated the trip as excellent."
Pros: "Arriving in Seattle my bag was waiting for me at the claim area. After 45+ years of flying around the world that was a first. But something happened before we took off. The gentleman in the seat in front of me had packed some oxygen bottles in his bags and a handler came onboard to address this. He was polite and very understanding that the man was meeting a cruise ship in Seattle and needed them as life support. The handler took an address from him and said he would take the bottles to Fedex near the airport and sent them to him. And the passenger could send him the money later! I thin k the handler's name was Bob. He needs a commendation foe going the extra mile for a passenger! Find him and buy him dinner."
Cons: "Having to get my seat assignment at the gate just increases my anxiety with the entire flying experience. Stop it. I get there 1.5 hours early to wait at the gate uncertain of weather I will be flying that day. As usual with all airlines seat comfort was non existent."
Pros: "Love everything!"
Cons: "The only issue I had was that we were delayed about 40 minutes after being in the plane because the pilots weren't there and the AC wasn't working yet so we were roasting while waiting for them to arrive. The attendants were very apologetic and kind though, passing out water and helping guests be as comfortable as possible. The only issue I've ever come across with this airline and it was still handled with kindness and efficiency, so DONT let this discourage you, Alaska is great!!!"
Cons: "Check in staff at Assistance counters either had problems with their computers or couldn't understand reservations. We had a pet for which we had paid for round trip reservation months ago, yet agent took quite awhile to reconcile our reservations. We stood in line for nearly a half hour during which their were very long lines at each check in point and at least one or two agents left on breaks while the lines were still very long. At Burbank the agents were fast, accurate and there were almost no waiting. The flight itself was great and the flight attendants were excellent; but not impressed at all with check in at Seattle."
Pros: "The crew was great. They were pleasant and helpful."
Cons: "We were on row 33 d,e, & f. Seats d & e would not recline. The button on seat d was broken. As annoying as that was, there were 3 unaccompanied minors sitting in front of us. Two of them were fine. The third one on the isle seat was up and down, in and out of his seat the majority of the flight. I couldn't sleep. This was my second flight of the day after staying in Seattle for 7 hours waiting between my flights. The kid was loud and it seemed like the crew couldn't correct him. He just did as he pleased. I wasn't the only passenger who had a problem with him. And apparently the crew did as well. I paid a lot of money for that flight and he ruined it for me. If they are going to fly children like that, the crew should be able to correct them so the other passengers can have a pleasant flight."
Pros: "um...I got home?"
Cons: "Ugh where to start. First my flight from Oakland was delayed an hour, and while they did rebook me a flight (with a 3-hour layover in Seattle), they couldn't keep me in a first-class seat and didn't offer anything to compensate for that. This was my first time (and probably last time) treating myself to a first-class flight, and I was kind of looking forward to that seat...although I understand if flights are full.. When I arrived (an hour late) in Seattle, the gate was shown as N2, about ten thousand miles away from my debarking gate in the C section. After walking halfway there, I stopped at an Alaska desk to AGAIN verify info and ask if someone could PLEASE CHECK and see if I could keep my first-class seating, since I PAID for one originally and the delay was airline-based. They blandly told me the flights were full and everyone had checked in already, and then mentioned that the gate had been changed BACK to C section, so hike back another 5000 miles to where I started. Wait three hours. I did check in at the gate as well, yet again, to beg with my best smiley-face and see if the girls could find me a first class spot or put me on standby, since I PAID for it. They said, sadly, no it's all full and checked in. Wait and wait. When I finally did board, I noticed that the info board said that "two upgrade requests" had been filled. What? Seriously? Is that MY FIRST CLASS SEAT YOU JUST GAVE SOMEONE? *frowns slightly* Walked through the already-seated first-class cabin, noticing that TWO OF THEM are empty. I was seated in the middle between a regular dude and this woman who is apparently running her company and having a conference call loudly on her phone, right in my ear. So yes, we understand: She's important. After sitting for a few minutes, I finally buzzed an attendant, who finally arrived, and asked her AGAIN, if she could please check if there any first class seats open, because that is what I PAID FOR and I'd appreciate finishing my trip as it was origanally booked. She said she'd check. AND THEN DISAPPEARED FOREVER. Never did see her again. A few minutes later, yet another attendant walked down the aisle with a clipboard, checking for open seats and I'm thinking she's coming to tell me that yes, there's been an opening and one of those 2 empty seats is mine and please go ahead and move. But no. She walks on by and says something about adding more standby people to some empty seats. I'm literally biting my tongue. Then, before I can say anything, these TWO GUYS come flailing down the gangway and bail into the two lovely EMPTY first-class seats in front of me. *scowl* I'm sorry, but unless they were late getting to the plane, and those were actually their seats (could be true), this whole thing was handled very strangely. I never fly first class anyway, and I understand delays and full flights, but it would have been nice to have anyone even attempt to help me finish my trip in the class that I had PAID FOR."
Cons: "Flying with my husband and daughter. All of our seats were split apart even after calling to fix the issue. When I went up to the counter, the lady told me too bad, she couldn't ask someone in an isle seat to switch, but I could do it myself if I wanted. My daughter is 2, can't exactly sit by herself. Food service didn't begin until almost 2 hours into a 3 hour flight but it was in no way due to turbulence. After food service, no trash service came around until about a half hour before landing. Slowest moving crew I have ever seen in my life. Also, the bathrooms were beyond disgusting. I will never fly Alaska again."
Pros: "I like the crew, they served everyone well on the plane."
Cons: "While the pilot was taking us to the runway before takeoff, there were some noises that could be heard in the roof. I was scared. My dad was sitting in front of me, and when we got off the plane he told me he heard the noises too, and saw some passengers that looked worried who heard the noise as well. My dad works with airplanes, and he said it might have been the panels overhead rattling that was making the noise. Other than that, the flight was okay, but i think the aircraft should be checked out."
Cons: "A long flight and was cold, and a crying baby throughout the flight"
Pros: "The customer service got us on the next available flight. Didn't charge us for our baggage (which they could have). Staff were helpful and realized that we were bone tired (after being awake for over 30 hours). Flight was easy. Crew was nice. Easy access to baggage when we got to PDX. I love Alaska Airlines!"
Cons: "Nothing. They got it all right."
Pros: "My flight took off and landed at the correct airports."
Cons: "Flew from Seattle to Reno. Originally booked on a flight from Seattle to Portland and Portland to Reno. After I checked in, I saw a direct flight to Reno, and Alaska was able to switch my flight for only $25, but failed to get my luggage on the correct flight (with over an hour before my flight left), so I still ended up waiting at the Reno airport for two hours until my originally ticketed flight came in with my bags. What would have been an awesome experience became a miserable one, with the bonus that I paid extra for the treatment."
Cons: "I was sent to the wrong city making my flight time more tiring and longer from Washington D.C. to Seattle to Portland to Honolulu. I was told I would get a $25.00 waiver and did not. Mean while the representative never asked me for id. On the return home I explained to the representative what had happened she kindly apologized for the rep not asking for my id and also saying she would give me a waiver that did not happen so the rep waived my baggage fee on my departure back. Unfortunately I ended up loosing my wallet during my layover because I was overwhelmed with going to a city that was never a part of my itinerary. On the way back to Washington D.C there was massive turbulence but the staff at Alaska airline did not make an announcement or serve any kind of drink for the first four hours. Finally the last hour and twenty minutes people finally came around. Overall I am turned off with the customer service I received,"
Pros: "Free hour of wifi as a T-mobile customer. The ability to change seats right up to the moment of boarding. It was my first flight ever and The Captain and crew did a great job to make the flight enjoyable and comfortable."
Cons: "As someone who has meticulously traveled the world over on Google Earth, i was enthralled to finally get to do it in real life. I was looking to bring up a GPs trackers or some kind of map application so i knew where i was flying over. I couldn't gain any access to any type of application due to GPS restrictions. This might be a rule for plane rides that i'm not aware of however."
Pros: "Overall as expected. Decent flight, nothing that made me go "wow", but on time, clean, reasonable boarding."
Cons: "I found the reaction of one of the flight attendants to be unprofessional. When I asked if she could pour a bit of water into my water bottle, rather than say, "I'm sorry, I am not allowed" or "unfortunately, no" or really anything verbal, she made a "tsk, tsk" face and offered me a plastic cup. Besides being annoyingly wasteful as a policy (if indeed it is one - this has not been an issue on other airlines), her customer service skills left something to be desired. This strange interaction left me with a poor overall impression of the flight experience."
Pros: "Alaskas great cheese plate"
Cons: "The heat was high, we asked the male steward many times to request the heat turned down, people were removing as much clothing as possible. It was very hot and sticky and smelly. The descent to landing was to fast when near the runway, and we crashed hard like a carrier landing. I would inspect the gear and wing spats for cracks. The fuselage bowed like a banana, it was evident looking down the tube sitting the back. How about a breathalyzer or something, everybody knows the drunken pilots, the can't be fired and they know it, so it takes years to sober them up at our expense. The pilots who've been caught drinking are not trying to get better, they just whine that the others who haven't been caught yet are even worse drunks. Everybody who flys on Alaska has heard it from the same old Alaska born drunken pilots. How about less drunken bush piloting and get your drunken pilots who've been busted in the last few years to shut up and stop telling everyone that all Alaska pilots are drunks as defense of there drunkeness."
Cons: "I carry photo equipment in a carry on bag because of expense, damage control and temperature control. Unfortunately I can not leave it for baggage people to handle (although I would love to.) When I got my carry on to the greeting flight attendant I explained I had just finished a shoot and I was sorry that I needed to keep the bag as carry on. Flight Attendant: there was nothing she could do and I needed to go back down the stairs, even though people were still boarding and leave it with the baggage people. Me: "In the past the flight attendant put the bag in that closet." (I pointed to the locked closet where they keep their bags.) Flight Attendant: I cant open it because it's locked. Me: "The key is kept there." (I pointed to where the key is kept. I know because I've done this trip so many times before.) Flight Attendant: "See if it will fit under your seat." It did... but I had my knees in my chin for the entire flight. Thanks, Ann"
Pros: "The northwest deli box was good. Boarding was very efficient."
Cons: "They ran out of the hot meal about 1/4 way down the aisle. The seats are not comfortable for a 5 hour flight. The bathrooms were pretty gross and smelled strongly of urine. There was dried urine all down the front of both toilets and on the floor in both bathrooms I used on the plane. Some of the crew seemed very new/ immature and unprofessional. Specifically, and I apologize for not knowing names, the blonde man made strange comments to people, maybe out of nervousness? The blonde woman on the flight seemed to have a short temper with her coworkers and was very short with them, granted she did get run into by both the beverage and food cart in the middle of the plane multiple times, so she was probably pretty annoyed at that. I fly Alaska Airlines most of the time, and this experience was unusual."
Pros: "Boarding was super fast and easy. We even had to wait because boarding was done, but had to wait for our departure time. Rarely see that. The pilot pointed out varies sites along the way (haven't heard a pilot do that in years). The crew was very polite and professional"
Cons: "I use airline apps to see what baggage claim I need to go to, because airport monitors are usually too far away for me to see them. And for this particular trip the video boards weren't working.. This made it even harder to figure out what baggage claim to go to. And there were few announcements about it. By the time I heard an announcement most of the bags from the flight were being taking off the carousel by an airline rep. Putting the baggage claim on the app, I think, would have made it a better experience."
Pros: "When the customs process was too slow for our connection time, the Alaska rep met us and moved us to a later flight without us even having to ask!!!!"
Cons: "I purchased an Am Airlines ticket operated by Alaska Airlines. This created some issues in check-in, etc/ process. I was given an American conf # but was not able to check-in online on either American or Alaska airlines. Once I called to get the Alaskan conf # I was still unable to check-in with anyone other than an agent F2F as airport. Additionally, no Alaska flight number information was provide on tickets or confirmation so finding appropriate baggage claim, etc became a hunting exercise. Limited food options or in-flight enteratainment for a long flight (5+hours). Inflight entertainment options were limited. You can use your own device with limited free TV programming. Movie rentals and popular TV shows are $3-6 a piece. Device rental is $10."
Pros: "On the ground ..TSA said I needed a new boarding pass..3 kiosck wouldn't. Work. Friendly re sent me to Alaska desk where they printed me a new boarding pass but when I went to TSA. I had no passport. Sooooo..back to t he Alaska desk and a wonderful rep named Diane helped me hunt through all my "stuff"...then began talking to all reps helping process passengers. She never gave up. And found my passport at the desk that had made me a new boarding pass. I was so upset I couldn't think straight but she did!, many thanks to this kind lady."
Pros: "No services on this flight were above average."
Cons: "I paid extra $$ to buy a ticket that was labeled as a "Direct Flight" from Seattle to Los Cabos, Mexico, as opposed to a flight with a layover, since my wife and I were headed there for our honeymoon. Alaska Airlines made no mention whatsoever that this flight was not at all direct, but in fact had a 2 hour layover in San Diego. There was no mention of this during the purchase process, and we didn't find out about the layover in San Diego until were were ALREADY AT OUR TERMINAL GATE. This is very deceiving and absolutely unacceptable."
Pros: "Efficient boarding, reasonable space in cabin and overhead bins"
Cons: "JetBlue is awful. TVs don’t work. Staff isn’t friendly"
Pros: "The crew was accommodating"
Cons: "The TV did not work…"
Pros: "Crew was stellar and everyone else too! Best flight experience in ages! Hundred percent a company all about customer service"
Pros: "Crew was courteous and gave constant updates in regards to any delays."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and there was congestion prior to take off. Not sure there was anything that could’ve been done."
Cons: "Not having a 10 hour delay/sleeping in the airport."
Cons: "The tvs didn't work."
Cons: "TV wasn’t working"
Cons: "Delays delays delays."
Pros: "The inflight crew was absolutely incredible. They were funny and helpful especially as our situation was incredibly bad."
Cons: "After waiting almost an extra hour plus for a delay, the boarding process was complete chaos. Not to the fault of the crew at LaGuardia, but just based on the annoyance and impatience of the passengers waiting to board. Once on the plane, our row was the only one with broken TVs. Unfortunately for my husband and myself, we were flying with two toddlers with whom we had solely expected to entertain with the TV."
Pros: "The flight was not completely full, so there was extra room."
Cons: "The choice of movies was poor. There were no charging stations for electronic equipment. The announcements kept on interrupting the shows. The crew did the bare minimum."
Pros: "The personnel were courteous and listen to your request ,the flight was exceptional.."
Cons: "No comments at this time."
Cons: "TV monitor wasn’t operational"
Cons: "I have not had the flight yet I got delayed."
Pros: "Great service. Also loved the size of the seats and the leg room that I had."
Pros: "On time flight, roomier seat"
Cons: "Airport, IGA"
Pros: "Free unlimited snacks! Lots of leg room"
Cons: "No safety video. Airport terminal was very small and stuffy. Security line was long"
Pros: "Boarding was a bit delayed in the beginning but back on time very quickly, seat comfort and legroom was great. Loved that I got a full sized can of soda, that's always fantastic and snacks were fine."
Cons: "My Seat 23D had a defective TV, so it was flashing on and off constantly throughout the whole flight, usually I don't have an issue with the entertainment because I like to sleep during flights, but due to some turbulence I was awake for part of the flight. Unfortunately with the flashing TV it gave me pretty bad nausea to the point of wanting to vomit, this is the first time I've experienced anything like this on a plane, was definitely looking forward to landing so I didn't have this nauseating feeling anymore. I have a video of the issue if anyone at Jetblue was interested in seeing. It was flight 499 from LGA to Orlando on 9-16-18. Thanks."
Pros: "Great flight with early departure; not crowded"
Cons: "Longer flight than normal due to Florence"
Cons: "delays, crying children and sniffling sneezing passengers. Restroom was dirty."
Pros: "We were delayed by over an hour on our flight to Bosand then delayed, undelayed and then sat on plane waiting for another crew for over an hour. Jet Blue we expected better from you."
Pros: "Efficient and kept us informed despite weather delay. Lovely flight attendants"
Cons: "Non Working tv, cramped seats"
Pros: "Nothing really."
Cons: "1. Forced to check carry on because of a pocket in the front when other passengers were allowed to bring actual suitcases which were taken right before boarding. Apparently JetBlue has a quota to meet as to how many people they charge for carry on luggage. 2. Refused to allow me to request my seat ahead of time to try and charge a $50 fee for an upgraded seat, even though by purchasing a ticket, I am guaranteed a seat on the plane. 3. Late once again. So far every flight taken by JetBlue this year has been late. My only on time flight this year has been with Delta. I do believe they are the new Spirit Airlines in disguise. This airline has been moved to the bottom of my list. I may take them once more but it depends on how many points I have with them, if it's enough to cover a free trip. If it doesn't, I will forfeit as the aggravation and nasty behaviour at the check in counter especially at LaGuardia is too much to take. They are also every discriminatory at that airport also, especially the people who work at JetBlue. I have to take responsibility for keep trying. It the same as beating a dead horse and expecting it to get up and run."
Pros: "Friendly crew and fast flight."
Cons: "No reclining seats"
Pros: "On time. Smooth flight."
Cons: "Drunk guy on plane."
Cons: "The the fight was 2 hours late"
Pros: "flights were on time, hotel was fine"
Cons: "small plane at end of trip was noisy, will bring ear plugs next time"
Pros: "Flight was on time, smooth ride! Very friendly staff."
Pros: "Seems like spacing between the seats is greater on JetBlue than with some other airlines. Really like that."
Pros: "Flight was short but comfortable. Love the free WiFi"
Cons: "The boarding was a shitshow because nothing was done to prevent people from taking all of the overhead compartment room, so by the time my group boarded, there was no room. But, people were still trying and so that backed the line way up from 1/2 way into the plane all the way out the plane and IN SPITE OF MY REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO GET THE FLIGHT CREW TO ASSIST AND CLEAN UP THIS PILE OF HUMANITY, THEY DID NOTHING!!! They forced me to gate checked my carry on bag (no checked bag) and did not tell me I would not get it back AT the plane and had to go out through security to get it at the baggage claim and come back in through security and because of that incompetence I MISSED MY CONNECTION AND WAS STRANDED IN FLL OVERNIGHT. After the front desk continuously trying to explain to me how it was my fault some how, I HAD TO PURCHASE A SEPARATE TICKET ON A DIFFERENT AIRLINE OUT OF MIA AT 5AM TO MAKE THE WEDDING!!!! This is beyond unacceptable and as someone that travels for work and stays roughly 100 nights a year in hotels, I WILL NEVER ALLOW YOUR COMPANY TO BE ABLE TO PUT ME IN THIS SITUATION AGAIN!!!!"
Pros: "Easy boarding. Friendly staff, great entertainment"
Pros: "Plane departed early and arrived 40 minutes early. Well done"
Cons: "Prefer BLUE Chips rather than cheese x AND usually they call for VETERANS to board before the start of general boarding. This is the first time Jet Blue DID NOT extend that courtesy"
Pros: "Service was great, smooth landing. Great songs and communication by pilot and captain"
Pros: "Comfortable seats, great crew, ample snacks & good entertainment options"
Cons: "Delayed 40 min at gate in LGA"
Pros: "I like the fact that Jetblue handled the on boarding ot the passengers fast and efficiently starting with preferred riders, then going from the rear of the plane and moving forward. They also realized the plane was full so offered customers the free option of checking a bag in cargo. I would have preferred if they advised customers before checking through security of this option as I would have taken it rather than discard with some bottled products. The entertainment video was great on board, they offered free beverages and snacks. The crew moved through the aisle fast and efficiently when dispersing the food, and again when collect the refuse. While we had a little turbulence, the flight was uneventful and the pilot handled the landing very well. Departing the plane was also fast and efficient, although takes time because the plane was full. Overall, I was impressed with JetBlue, and their flight team."
Cons: "I thought that although comfortable, the chairs and fabric were obviously well worn and definitely needed upgrading. I also noticed that the chair head area didn't have a removable sanitary cover, which I thought should be there considering the number and frequency of change overs per seat on these flights. This is necessary to promote sanitary and comfortable conditions."
Pros: "The best part of this trip was checking in.. it was a breeze.. I must say the Orlando landing was the best touchdown I've ever experienced..Smooth.."
Cons: "Let's start with getting on the airplane was like herding sheep.. When I finally got to my seat someone was in it.. And I had no place to put my carry on.. The flight was suppose to leave 9:00pm.. we didn't leave til 9:40.. The safety announcement was awful. We cudnt hear most of it.. The turbulence was scary and the noise made me put on headphones to sleep. Once it landed in Orlando the airplane traveled around the entire airport .. It took forever to get off the plane but I was so happy to get off"
Cons: "Entertainment (TV) did not work on the entire flight in numerous seats, even after rebooting the system."
Cons: "My flight got cancelled due to a hurricane, ok... that's fair. But my flight was rebooked for 9 days later (I couldn't afford to be away from home for 9 more days), no hotel accommodations were given and no refund was given. I had to book another way home with a different airline that could get my home on a reasonable date."
Pros: "Great non stop flight from NY to Boston. It was quick and smooth and I got good entertainment and got to watch tennis. I will definitely use Jet Blue more often."
Pros: "They had little televisions screens for entertainment which was unique that it had tv rather than movies. I liked it."
Cons: "No phone chargers which was a little flaw."
Cons: "2 hour delay"
The Wi-Fi was pretty average and difficult to access. Easy to sign in but getting anything to load was a whole other pain in the A—
I wrote a review to Delta already expressing my dislike of the fact that I could not get a seat assigned upon checkin or even at the airport until maybe 1 hr before my flight. The cabo representative (not part of the flight crew based from Los Angeles) was rude and not accommodating, so my wife and I had to sit separately, which was frustrating to say the least, given I had followed the entire online check in protocol, including uploading digital copies of my negative COVID-19 test.
Cons: "Not losing my bag on a direct flight"
Cons: "Well if my future father in law was on the flight it would have been wonderful, but he passed away July 7th, and I did get refunded, and we are mourning his loss and keep getting notifications about the flight and emails which makes it very difficult mentally. So it would be nice if Delta would get their process of refunds especially when it's a death to maybe not get notified. I was the one that purchased the tickets for him in April."
Pros: "Felt safe withe the cleanest of the plane"
Pros: "Horrible delay with unruly customers on the plane. But the flight attendants did great handling them"
Pros: "The crew was amazing"
Cons: "Don’t change my chosen seat that I paid for as I am entering the plane without my knowledge and acceptance"
Pros: "The crew was great"
Cons: "No video screens, the choice of snacks is very weak"
Pros: "Good movies; nice crew"
Pros: "Flight was smooth and fast."
Cons: "Run from gate G to gate C was very tight especially since the first flight was late."
Cons: "No WiFi kg was an old plane and the stranger next to me was 6’4” so pretty uncomfortable"
Cons: "Originally, they were putting me on a flight connecting through Atlanta. However, I was traveling with my brother and there was only one seat on it. After looking again, we were put on a much better route through Detroit. I did not have a seat on the second leg and was stressed that I could get bumped. I made the flight but was given a middle seat. Since I have clostrophobia I began to panic. My brother sacrificed his exit row seat for me. He had booked through Delta. I wondered if he got better treatment because of that"
Pros: "Arrived ahead of time"
Pros: "Early warning about little overhead compartment baggage space. Short flight made shorter in air."
Cons: "No enough carry on baggage space"
Pros: "Not much, hardly anything"
Cons: "The service in First Class, absolutely terrible"
Pros: "The time and the cabin crew were helpful"
Cons: "There was nothing to not like"
Cons: "we began the boarding process late, which can be understandable, although the plane was there pretty early. Once the boarding began, someone, I presume the gate agent, essentially gave a countdown to hhow many minutes were left until the flight could have an "on time departure". I travel nearly every week so I value being on time. However, a minute by minute call to hurry up on a flight that was sold out was over the top. There was mumbling among the passengers, to the point of someone joking "Free cookies and water if we make it on time?" Just a bad gate experience, but bad enough that peopoe were commenting, and I waited for someone from the cockpit to del\part so I could mention it to them."
Pros: "Late, crowded, bumpy"
Pros: "Service was good. Was upgraded for more space."
Cons: "Intertainment unit was not working correctly. Locked up after movie was over. No offers of any sort from crew about issue."
Cons: "7 hours delayed. Poor front desk worker, nice flight attendants!"
Pros: "Good snack selection, plane departed on time, no issues."
Pros: "I, as a tall man, was allowed to move into an exit row with no additional charge. The flights were not full."
Cons: "delays after delays"
Pros: "Pilots and crew did an amazing job during unstable air coming into Pittsburgh. Great job."
Pros: "Anna from South Africa was funny, and super accomidatinf"
Pros: "Our original flight was delayed and Marika, at the Delta gate of another flight to the same city, was able to get us on the flight that was going to our city. We were so grateful to get home before the winter storm! We appreciate your staff and the help their quick, efficient manner to get us on a new flight!"
Pros: "Having just exited the AeroMexico flight that came across as unprofessional, it was refreshing to get on a Delta flight. It was not really exceptional, but it met my expectations. The Delta agent on the telephone on the day before our flight WAS exceptional, as she tried valiantly to get us checked in to a flight that had been changed (by Aeromexico) several times. Delta was also exceptional in helping us retrieve our luggage after AeroMexico lost it."
Cons: "The noise by the engines in the back section on the Delta flight was rather unbelievable. As a physician, I think it was likely physically damaging to our hearing. If this interior aircraft noise can’t be avoided, I think earplugs should be offered to passengers in those seats."
Cons: "could not check in on line as you did not give us the confirmation of the carrier we used which was not west jet the one you booked us through. You need to fix this problem for us to use you again"
Pros: "Courteous staff, boarding process was okay once it got started."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 1.5 hours. Very turbulent flight. Tight seats."
Pros: "We didn’t order food"
Pros: "Space in seats was better than most airlines"
Cons: "That they charge for bags. It is now an industry standard, nevertheless, it's a way of stealing to customers. Airlines shouldn't charge for bags"
Pros: "very short flight, flight was comfortable"
Cons: "Plane was small so carry on space was at a premium, but everything fit"
Cons: "Delay in leaving from the airport there were issues with Web checkin Crew wasnt able to give me my boarding pass for the connecting flight and kept saying going to the other counter"
Pros: "Great help from gate agent when a delay in connecting flight would have missed the last flight. Agent put a great new agent it together better than the original."
Cons: "Delta is the best"
Pros: "Flight was on time, flight crew was kind and helpful, pilot was smooth and kept us informed of the flight status."
Pros: "Crew was very professional and friendly."
Cons: "Seats too close together."
Pros: "Majority of the crew was pleasant"
Cons: "One flight attendant was EXTREMELY rude to me for no reason"
Pros: "My flight was delayed 40 minutes in Detroit after a 3 hour lay over we boarded the plane. Then 45 minutes into the flight they said the landing gear light came on and they would be going back to change plans. My mother with Lymes disease was waiting 3 hours in Providence supposed to arrive a 11:50 instead 2:50am we were so tired missed a day of vacation."
Pros: "Good do to Delta Staff"
Pros: "The stewards/stewardess were very helpful. The trip was very pleasant."
Cons: "Great customer service from all staff. Mannerisms, snacks, and safety precautions."
Cons: "Awful experience. Delta left us stranded on the runway for 3 hours. Pathetic airline."
Pros: "Both check in and gate agents were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The boarding process seems to have some hiccups...like everyone crowding the gate and the wrong people boarding at the different boarding times. This all began when airlines charged for baggage and carry on became the only way to travel without excess fees. There is not enough overhead storage for everyone to carry-on so let's go back to no fees for baggage. The boarding process will become smooth again."
Cons: "One crew member was running late. So we could not start boarding until she got there. Which created a chain reaction of events making the flight late. She was not a pilot. So why couldn't we begin boarding while waiting on her?"
Pros: "Delta always seems to have the most legroom between the seats - Even more than our transatlantic flight! The crew is always friendly and helpful, and nearly all our flights on Delta were on time or early."
Cons: "The flight was cancelled after several attempts to departure. We had to spent the whole night in the JFK airport. Finally, it departed to Detroit with 2.5 hours delay. It was a nightmare."
Pros: "The agents at the gate were very efficient and the flight crew was attentive and pleasant."
Cons: "My seat area was not clean. The arm rest and the tray area had food? on it."
Cons: "We are in the midst of a pandemic and while masks were "required," the number of passengers not wearing a mask or wearing a mask incorrectly was obscene. The flight attendants needed to be reminding people and correcting people on their mask wearing. More importantly, the airline needs to be upholding the safety of their passengers! I was also seated DIRECTLY next to another passenger, which breaks all social distancing. And while I repeatedly asked him to fix his mask, it still always managed to fall off his face while sleeping. I know it isn't really the fault of the crew, but I think the airline needs to do a better job."
Cons: "Delays could have been communicated better. My overhead light wasn’t functional."
Pros: "Easy to check my bag- fast process"
Cons: "Only 1 update in the 70min our flight was delayed! And we were stuck on a bus that took us to the plane for 20 min with no ventilation or updates. Just waiting outside the plane. Yikes!"
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "Sun Country lost my bag and could not provide any status at the airport when we arrived. The boarding process was inconvenient; including a shuttle to the tarmac. Plane was dirty upon entering. Entertainment (airfi) didn't work."
Pros: "The crew was great!"
Cons: "I had to take a bus from my gate to the plane from the new D21-26 gates."
Pros: "The staff in this flight are attentive and offer water and coffee many time during the flight. Way better than the flight I flew to Seattle-with SC."
Cons: "It was very cold but it could be just me being cold"
Cons: "Nice service"
Pros: "The people were nice and it felt like a quick flight."
Cons: "There was no one at the check-in desk when I got to the airport and when someone called to ask when they would be there Sun Country said they come 2 hours before the flight. Giving people an hour to get through security and get to they're gates before boarding. I also should have looked at how much it would cost checking a bag($20) and all the additional costs that Sun Country has (seat: $7-$25)."
Cons: "It now costs money to select ANY seat, to have ANY luggage whether it is carry-on or checked. The planes are old and poorly maintained. No longer a viable option to fly."
Pros: "They got us safely to our destination."
Cons: "First of all, I tried to check in the night before our flight, only to find out that the only way you can do that is to pay money to select your seat. So, we checked in at the airport, only to find out that the cost for a checked bag is now $25 instead of the $20 it would have been to check in early online. Not to mention the fact they charge your for a carry-on which is $30 if you check-in ahead of time, but $40 if you check-in at the airport!! Clearly they want to try to give people an incentive to check-in early, which is fine, but then making you pay extra just to select a seat!! What a joke! We will NEVER fly Sun Country again!"
Pros: "I made it safely in one piece and my luggage did too."
Cons: "There was very very little room in the seats. I have never been so cramped on a flight. My knees were hitting the back of the seat in front of me even before I tried to slouch down and take a nap. The seats were also very firm. My butt cheeks fell asleep multiple times so I had to shift in my seat but I couldn’t move very far because my knees were pinned."
Cons: "The flight was the worse we've ever had. Had us running from north concourse to the south concourse for at least a mile& then busing us back to the north to board the plane. No room in our seats, one drink cart, ¬ able to put anything up in the overhead without paying $30 dollars. Having to pay for a small crummy seat that left our legs cramped after a 3 hour flight. I shutter at the thought of our return flight home! NEVER AGAIN will we fly Sun Country!"
Pros: "I loved how, once the aircraft was there they updated us and got everyone organized during the boarding process and we left in a reasonable amount of time after the aircraft arrived. I didn't have any problems with the flight, and it was nice to be notified in advanced about the upcoming turbulence."
Cons: "It was late, and with my long layover, I couldn't check-in without exiting the secure area. They are understaffed, and they don't have anyone in the secured area to even ask questions too, let along check in passengers that are transferring from other airlines. Also, there wasn't anything showing the passengers that the flight was delayed until 10 minutes before the flight was supposed to leave. I knew it was late, only after the agent from a different airline did many searches into my connecting flight, and I also asked my check-in agent at Sun Country, I had to ask! That information was not given willingly."
Pros: "Staff was genuinely very pleasant and the boarding process (mind you the flight was half full) was fairly quick. Ha - then again, no one really had carry on baggage, so kept things easy ;p"
Cons: "I booked with Sun Country because rates were significantly cheaper than with Alaska and my priority was to book a nonstop flight. What they don't tell you when booking, is all of the fees associated with your flight that you pay AFTER booking. Baggage Fees: Sun Country doesn't allow you to take more than a personal item on the plane without a fee. It's $20 to check a bag (which you pretty much have to do, as their carry on bag dimensions are smaller than the average roll-a-board bag), and $30 if you want to carry a bag on. Per person. So there's $80 gone for my fiance and I, round trip. Seat Fees: Yes, you heard me right - then you have to PAY FOR YOUR SEAT. I'm sorry - what did I pay for when I purchase my ticket?? The front of the coach cabin starts at $25 per seat (including exit rows), $20, $11 towards the middle, and $2 at the back of the plane. Ok, so apparently if you check in online, you have to select a seat and you have to pre-pay for bags. Ok, felt like I was stiff armed here. The fiance and I decided to go with the $2 seats - can't be that bad, right? Boarding and flight crew were lovely - no complaints here. The plane itself, and the additional costs associated in-air...another story. We were going to a wedding, so he had his suit - the flight attendant let us know the plane didn't have a closet (wait, what?!) so we had to lay it down in one of the overhead bins. Don't worry folks - the bins were next to empty across the entire plan (again, wait, what?!) because of course no one wanted to have to pay $10 more to carry on a smaller bag than it would cost them to check a NORMAL bag. One of the two bathrooms was working, and the entire back of the plane smelled like feces was being recycled through the air system. No wonder these were $2 seats. The aisle was full of people standing the whole flight because the plane only had one working restroom. Entertainment? Hope your phone is charged - the planes are old and don't have outlets. The options for 'entertainment' offered for free on larger carriers like Alaska, are $15 per device on Sun Country - so let's say that's another $60 round trip if we each wanted a 'normal' flight amenity. TOTAL - we're now looking at $144 of charges I would never have imagined ON TOP of the fees I had paid when booking. Next time, I'll go with Alaska - I know what to expect, and know there are no real hidden charges anywhere. At that rate, the cost isn't that different either."
Cons: "While the cart was parked next to me the flight attendant dropped a can of soda which splattered on my jacket, shirt, pants, feet and shoes - needless to say, I wasn't happy to be wearing soda for the next 10 hours. While she did apologize, their just wasn't any heart, concern or follow-up on it. No steps to give me water or napkins to clean myself up. Very disappointing."
Cons: "- Flight was delayed for undisclosed reasons. - Boarding took longer than needed. - Flight Attendants were extremely unhelpful and rude regarding our Emotional Support Animal. - Flight Attendants also seemed unsure of what take off regulations were and scolded us for things other passengers were allowed to do. - Getting our bags from baggage claim took over 30 minutes. - Seats were small and uncomfortable. I'm only 5'8" and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. We will not fly Sun Country again."
Pros: "It landed safely."
Cons: "We were over a half hour late boarding. I got assigned a middle seat, which has no room. I'm relatively fit, but I got stuck between two overweight people, Manning I couldn't move an inch the whole flight."
Pros: "Flight crew were all professional and efficient! Relatively smooth boarding and on time departure and arrival."
Cons: "Don’t know if it’s just in the exit row, but it is not an exaggeration to say that was the most uncomfortable plane seat I have ever sat in. I’ll bring my own cushion next time I fly Sun Country haha. Also, Sun Country’s app needs work."
Pros: "Efficient, courteous staff, no issues"
Pros: "Seats were ok."
Cons: "The boarding process was much slower than expected then when we were seated, the plane was uncomfortably warm. With our vents open in full, we were bordering on sweating the majority of the flight. It was unpleasant."
Pros: "Sun country people honestly seem to like their jobs and their customers. It shows in their work. I hope they can continue to make enough money being nice."
Pros: "Cheap fare"
Cons: "They lost both our bags No leg room or space in coach Poor food options"
Cons: "There was no communication as to why our boarding process was delayed 1 hour. Clearly there was USPS mail being unloaded but no communication was offered until 45 minutes after our initial board time. It does not bother me the flight was delayed, it was unprofessional not to offer any communication."
Pros: "Our stewardess was very friendly, and the flight was one of the smoothest I've experienced on any airline!"
Cons: "The automated voice was kind of cheesy..."
Pros: "Sun country able get my family on next flight out only 2.5 hours later at no charge!"
Cons: "Missed boarding by 11 minutes do to traffic on I5 needed to be there 45 minutes before takeoff"
Pros: "Flight attendant Alisa was great!"
Cons: "Most of all I don't like that it costs $50 each to catch an earlier flight even though there was plenty of room on the airplane. * I hate flying and there was lots of mild turbulence. *small seats. *no cookies or nuts offered. * no video capabilities."
Cons: "Not only do they not have a mobile app, but their website was malfunctioning so I couldn't check-in online. At the SEA airport they didn't have a self-service kiosk, so we had to wait in line. Modernize!"
Pros: "Smooth fast boarding"
Cons: "Not the friendliest crew, generally ok"
Pros: "I've flown Sun Country in the past once or twice and had generally positive experiences. Sun Country did offer food vouchers of $10 and $12 due to the delays, and $100 towards a future Sun a Country flight, which is more than I could say for Spirit Airlines. The staff that I encountered did the best with the information they had and were always friendly, but they didn't seem to have the information required to help the passengers they were working with."
Cons: "I flew from Minneapolis to Seattle and back for Christmas with Sun Country and each of my flights was delayed by over three hours. The initial flight we arrived at our gate to discover the flight had been cancelled with no warning and we had been switched to a flight leaving six hours later. When we checked in no one said a word, and when we arrived at our gate there was no Sun Country employee to inform us of the change. The only reason that we and our fellow passengers learned of this at all was by checking the departure boards at the airport and learning it had been cancelled. To add insult to injury they forced each of the passengers to go back out to the front ticket counter to have new tickets reissued rather than having them printed out at our gate, meaning we all had to go back through security due to what seemed to amount to the laziness of the carrier. On the return flight my flight was initially pushed back by one hour, then two, and eventually ended with a four hour delay. Several of these changes were made within mere minutes of each other. While I understand that delays happen, that also means rides needs to be reworked, plans cancelled, etc. To have the first few hours of time with family robbed by a delay, and the final hours of time with family marred by having to rework plans and make last second changes is a disappointment."
Pros: "The employees are always super nice. The plane is always very clean."
Cons: "Just missed the little snacks. I thought ahead of time and brought our own but we would have gotten pretty hungry had we not. Your snacks for purchase are reasonably priced if we had to purchase something though."
Pros: "It's cheap and it doesn't charge extra for two carry ons. Boarding was faster and easier than other airlines. They seat families with babies in the back, which is nice for other patrons."
Cons: "Sun Country Air is the greyhound of airlines. The crew is generally rude, seats are somehow small and cramped, even compared to other airplanes, the aisle is also somehow smaller, there's no entertainment options - usually on my four hour flight home there's at least a movie option. I've had confusing and difficult interactions with disability services on two occasions and have had staff question my disability and access needs."
Pros: "I happened to be in row 4, had lots of leg room and the middle seat was empty."
Cons: "I purchased round trip tickets in July to attend my Grandsons 2nd birthday allowing ample time to make his party, but our plane got diverted to Great Falls ,MT. We had to wait 6.5 hours for them to send another plane and crew. Needless to say, I missed his party and all they gave us was a sack lunch and a $100.00 ticket voucher. I also called customer care and they were going to look into it and call me back. I still haven't received a call back. This was a very upsetting ordeal."
Pros: "Was pleasantly surprised at the service and professional attitude of the flight attendants!"
Pros: "I liked the price of the ticket"
Cons: "SeaTac gates are very small compared to MSP. The seats on the plane are uncomfortable."
Pros: "We got a terrific fare on this flight. The airline also offers convenient flights. We really appreciate non-stop flights. The staff members we encountered were courteous and efficient."
Cons: "In this age of uncomfortable air travel, the seats seemed especially small, but this is a subjective comment. We did not measure them."
Pros: "Had to pay extra when booking, but the extra legroom was comfortable."
Cons: "Our expected boarding time of 12:35 turned out to be 1:20 instead and of course our flight was late arriving at MSP. No reason for the delay was given."
Pros: "Service was good. Short flight. Ticketing and other agents were very nice."
Cons: "Plane was small tight seats."
Pros: "The flight was delayed but the crew at the gate in Seattle was wonderful. The young ladies were professional and very sweet."
Pros: "Upgraded to first class. First time ever doing that and it's the best way to go."
Pros: "Surprisingly comfortable seats in economy class."
Cons: "Boarding process was a bit confusing."
Pros: "Friendly staff and crew. Clean plane. Functional seat. On time. Suitcase arrived as well. Albeit it took quite awhile...not sure why."
Cons: "All went well."
Pros: "The plane was bigger which allowed everyone to have more room to get comfy and sleep since it was a red eye flight."
Cons: "Nothing really, it was a god flight, there was just nothing spectacular that stood out good or bad."
Pros: "Great for Red Eye flights. They were respectful of announcements and lights being off."
Cons: "I arrived 3 hours before the flight and there was no one at the kiosk to check in/check bags until 2.25 hours prior. That was a bit frustrating."
Pros: "Boarding went well and so did getting off the plane."
Cons: "Two of the flight attendants that we dealt with at the back of the plane were for rude not only to my husband and I but to our 7 year old child who was seated in a different row."
Pros: "The crew was very polite and helpful."
Cons: "I'm a size 4 in women's, average height (5'6") and even I felt like the seats were so tiny and uncomfortable. Plus on our return flight the cool air wasn't working properly, in my section of the plain anyway, and I was over heating to the point I was nauseous."
Cons: "All passenger were boarded on time for take off and then it took an hour to get US Mail into the baggage compartment!!! Strange set of priorities and lack of timing."
Pros: "I appreciate your boarding process with no "zones". Easy, simple the way it should be! Your seats and rows also appear to have more leg room than other flights - thank you! As Americans keeping getting bigger the extra space is very much appreciated."
Cons: "I wish there were options for cash food purchases"
Cons: "There were multiple rows of empty seats, so I moved in order to lay down and sleep. After I had fallen asleep I was shaken awake by a flight attendant telling me in a very rude tone I couldn't sleep there because I hadn't paid for the seats. I had obviously paid my air fare and the seats were vacant. I will never fly Sun Country again because of how I was treated by their flight attendants."
Cons: "Most late flights would try to speed the plane up a bit to make a late flight not quite so late and ease connections with flights and pickups. Not Sun Country. It started late and arrived even later. It was quite an inconvenience that made the next day much more difficult for me. I may not use Sun Country again. Glen Bickford 507-269-9079."
Late coming, late going, no explanation. Very typical of the poor service I've come to expect of American Airlines and sadly, they do not care. Back to Southwest!
Pros: "I had a great seat"
Cons: "Food. No food at all on board per the flight attendees"
Pros: "Pilot was Awesome"
Cons: "The crew was eh not very friendly"
Cons: "How about departing on time! Almost 3 hours after our advertised departure time is ridiculous!"
Pros: "Crew was great."
Cons: "Between mechanical, weather, lightning, fueling/routing delays; I have been pushed back at least 4 hours from my original arrival time at my final destination."
Cons: "Flight delayed twice and then had to wait on runway for take off"
Pros: "Nothing special."
Cons: "You cannot recline the seats."
Cons: "Flight was canceled. Ruined my plans and reason for flying."
Pros: "Crew was very nice. Seats were more comfortable than other airline seats."
Cons: "American changed our seats to back of plane. No explanation."
Cons: "Flight delayed over 2 1/2 hrs causing missed meetings"
Pros: "Comfortable flight. 2"
Cons: "Delayed more than 2 hours"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Seatbelt was far too short for someone plus sized."
Pros: "The flight was on time. The crew was friendly."
Cons: "Too little legroom."
Cons: "Overhead bins were full before my seat, so bag had to go in one behind me and it was a disaster trying to get it when it was time to get off the plane"
Pros: "Sat in exit and it"
Pros: "No problems, arrived early"
Cons: "On my first flight from SLC to ORD I asked 3 different American Airlines employees if I needed to pay for my carryon before I got on the plane. They all said no. I got on the plane, put my carryon under the seat in front of me and everything was great. I landed in Chicago, got to my gate, went to board and this very rude employee stopped me after I scanned my ticket and told me I couldn’t board with my bag. The EXACT bag I had boarded with in SLC. After harshly grabbing my bag and putting it in the carryon basket to check for size, she wouldn’t let me pass by her into the boarding bridge and told me I was going to have to pay. I tried explaining that I had asked I’m SLC if I needed to check it and they had all said no and that it fit under my seat. She said, “I don’t care what they said in SL, this is what I’m saying here.” And directed me to the front desk where I had to pay $50!! $50 for a carryon backpack that fit under my seat comfortably 20 minutes before!! Without saying a word (cause I didn’t want to yell at the poor girl behind the desk) I paid the $50 and proceeded to enter the bridge but before I passed through, the rude woman said, “have a nice flight ma’am” and scoffed!! An audible scoff. So I’m short, I hate American Airlines and I will do my BEST to not have to fly with them in the future."
Pros: "Good flight overall"
Pros: "They kept on schedule. We"
Cons: "I was not notified of flight changes and until I called the Airline my husband and I were intended to sit far apart. I booked this trip back in Jan. and we were supposed to be across the aisle from each other. We ended up in the last row of seats of both flights. We never knew of the changes until we tried to get boarding passes."
Cons: "I understand it happens, but after a long day of traveling it is very frustrating when the late night flight is delayed and you then have to sit in the plane on the ground for an extended period. Otherwise it was fine"
Pros: "very nice crew"
Cons: "small jetcraft"
Cons: "I am not tall but there was no leg room. My knees were in the back of seat. And when passenger in front reclined???? Arggh"
Pros: "Flight was safe and uneventful"
Cons: "Limited space and I had a better seat Just beverage service - not even crackers offered No entertainment options Seat recline mechanism was faulty"
Cons: "I am very frustrated that a single part could not be located in the early afternoon to allow the plane to fly. I will be late again for work and it seems to be American Airlines and not Delta that has all the delays or is late."
Cons: "Flight was a half hour late leaving O'Hare."
Pros: "Very courteous crew.pilot was amazing!! Landed in tough wind"
Cons: "Missed because of first delay"
Pros: "On time departure & arrival."
Cons: "My checked bag, which l paid $25.00 for, didn’t make it on the flight to Pittsburgh. It got there on another flight at 7:30 pm Monday night but no one from American Airlines did anything about trying to get it to me until 11:30 pm. As a result, while l stayed at a hotel only 30 miles from the airport, my bag wasn’t delivered until 2:00 am on Tues, more than 8 hours after l got there. And their website for supposedly checking on lost luggage, aa.com/bag status, is next to useless. It gives no useful information. Use the 800 # but state you want to talk with a human when answering the questions in their phone tree. I’ve had other experiences on AA over the last few years that lead me to question their commitment to customer service. I’ll be avoiding American Airlines as a travel option where other alternatives are available."
Pros: "Seats are terrible. My back hurts after the journey. Leg room is bad too."
Cons: "The changing of terminals in Philadelphia but was not the airlines fault."
Pros: "boarding process"
Cons: "seats feel crowded. the actual seat is very uncomfortable, they lack padding."
Pros: "Wheelchair was ready in La Guardia airport, but transfer from gate C to gate B had impossible stairs or shuttle outside. This option required another security check which was terrible. TSA personnel was rude and incompetent. In the end there was no need for such scrutiny and we were released, but the emotional impact lasted for hours."
Cons: "Easy direct flight. No issues."
Pros: "good timing"
Cons: "snacks and beverages..."
Pros: "Snacks and drinks included. Was able to get my bag checked for free and pay a decent price for a last minute emergency flight. Crew was great and helpful"
Cons: "The price was more than I wanted to pay but it was not unreasonable."
Pros: "Arrived early"
Cons: "No gate available upon early arrival. Paying extra for aisle seats is ridiculous."
Pros: "Boarding was easy and i had a great seat."
Cons: "It wasnt a long flight so there was no entertainment and minimal food."
Pros: "My 17 year old daughter flew American Airlines to attend a wedding. She recently had spinal surgery and is not able to lift more than 5lbs. After being assured by the airline that staff would help her with her carryon luggage, she was abandoned and ignored by both flight attendants. Each flight attendant referred het to the next, so she is walking back and forth tor their amusement. Tears rolling down her face, finally an elderly passenger helped her. Then the staff gave her attitude the entire flight. She may appear healthy, but she was cut from her neck to her waist and had two rods inserted along with bone grafts. I just cannot believe how awful she was treated."
Cons: "The customer service was terroble. My daughter was humiliated."
Pros: "Limited overhead bag storage. Gates changed to more crowded area. Felt like we were being herded onto the plane. Hurry up, etc. clear the aisles that sort of thing."
Pros: "short flight so I would not expect any particular issues."
Pros: "No complaints"
Cons: "It's was good"
Pros: "Crew was very nice!"
Pros: "Easy and efficient boarding"
Cons: "Delayed flight No food/drink service offered"
Cons: "My son and I were scheduled to leave Providence to Philadelphia on Monday at 6:05. Flight went through a series of delays until we were finally informed that our flight would not make the flight departing Philly to SF. Rather than fly to Philly during the DNC, we decided to SPEND ANOTHER NIGHT IN PROVIDENCE and take the flight out the next day. This part of the trip caused me to lose a day of work and spend more money on a hotel and meals. This was very poor planning on your part since there were flights flying in and out of both places, but your company was short one aircraft that would have gotten my son and I home on time!!! This was my last flight on American Airlines and I will be sure to spread the word to my friends and family that you have become too unreliable!!"
Cons: "Seats are uncomfortable. Seats are too close together, not wide enough, to short, no knee room."
Pros: "too many gate changes and delays"
