Cons: "4 hrs delay due to failure of Singapore Airlines to have a working plane on site at the appointed time. Even worse: chaotic deplaning with one crew member telling passengers to deplane and another yelling at them in the bridge for doing so. A mess of lines trying to get a new boarding pass for a rebooked missed connection—at the front of the line the agent said oh, you need to wait in this other line. Agents had no clue where to direct passengers and gave incorrect directions that necessitated more waiting. No updates to new flight time in the business class lounge. Once the flight was in the air, service was terrible. Attendants would ask for orders, then never bring them or bring the wrong thing."
Cons: "Screaming children. Totally clueless, rude flight crew. Next time kids are screaming for three hours straight on a red eye, maybe offer the parents some assistance. Makes the “perks” like hot towels seem ridiculous when staff are completely indifferent."

Cons: "No air vents and the cabin was very very stuffy and warm for many people. I’ve never heard one child cry for 7+ hours before until this flight. But everything else was decent to say the very least:)"

US airline flight attendants don’t even come close to this team that truly serviced the cabin for 8 hours continuously without the typical hiding in the back of the plane and chatting. Very encouraging that genuine care in the air is very much alive and well on Singapore Air! I will fly them every chance I get!"

Air travel doesn’t have to be a cattle herding process with peanut treats on cross country flights - shame on the US carriers - I strongly suggest they fly Singapore Air to see what true customer service feels like!"

Cons: "My first flight of JetBlue from Olandor to New York was delayed that leading to my connecting flights to my destination were missed. Now, my suitcases have been missed, too."
Pros: "It's not the cheapest way to fly but it's a great way to cross the Atlantic. Seats are big enough for 2, really. Lay flat beds make the night crossing east tolerable. You really can get several hours sleep. The cabin crew is outstanding, patient, and extremely responsive to requests. Two meals served were excellent. Entertainment choices were complete. After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. Had no idea this level of luxury existed on an airplane."

Cons: "JustFly billed the wrong price, then to fix that,created a new ticket with my name misspelled and failed to cancel the original ticket. We later upgrade seats via Singapore then discovered the duplicate booking and misspelling. To fix that JustFly cancelled the booking with the seat upgrade. Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."
Pros: "EVERYTHING was great...from check in to the entire experience on board. Extremely friendly staff to delicious food and a great choice of beverages! Clean and tidy aircraft with lots of extra amenities. Pleasant flight, pleasant arrival. Always a great way to travel!"
Cons: ""Customs" at JFK came to an entire halt. All passengers where stuck in the welcome hall for 1h, without any information, why held there and why nothing was moving forward. All CBP booths were closed, but 8 (eight!) employees, who normally direct arriving passengers to the kiosk-machines where hanging out in two groups sharing private stories and having laughs instead of at least informing passengers, what was going on. Lots of passengers where outraged...a couple in their mid 70s in front of us had to sit down on the floor, since they had circulation problems from standing in line so long. Sadly, JFK isn't what it used to be anymore."

Better value than Lufthansa or American, for the overall flight experience. You could fly cheaper, but not better, in economy."

Pros: "This was the second time that we were able to fly to Germany with Singapore airline. I will always try to fly with them in the future. I have been on numerous transcontinental trips and I rank them as number one. They make me feel like I am welcome."
Cons: "There was very little leg room for people over five feet tall. Everything else was exceptional."

Cons: "Chairs on the new A380 although more comfortable than the Boeing 777 are still very uncomfortable for sleeping in the economy class. Plane is so big that it takes a while for first and business class to load and unload. Luggage took forever to unload for the same reason."

So here's the rub - my flight was booked through Chatdeal even though I bought it under the Kayak umbrella. All the return flights were theoretically through Air New Zealand, however except for the initial leg from New Zealand, they were all partnered flights. So when I arrived at the airport in New Zealand they could only issue me my ticket to Fiji. Once in Fiji I had to do some serious leg work and finagling to get my ticket to Los Angeles through Fiji Air. This included a monitored covid RAT that I wasn't aware I needed to do. So I gave the score I did because of the complexity and annoyance created in the process of getting a boarding pass for my Nadi-LA flight.

Just a hiccup being added to the NZ Traveller Declaration a bit late.

Cons: "I had paid for Premium Economy and was seated in Row 30. The passengers were boarded up to row 28, then from to back of the plane forward then I was boarded with the last remaining passengers. That was not what I feel should have happened. I did not like the footrest on the seats."

Cons: "After years of traveling with a Personal Assitive device (many times on ANZ), the pilot refused to carry the device. It is still stuck in Sydney, although they say they will deliver to our home."

Cons: "Ran out of meal options, flight was delayed so one option breakfast not appropriate at midday. The flight attendant blamed the person in front of me for taking the last other option. I had to clarify with her that meant there was only one option left. She seemed annoyed at me for asking."
Cons: "We were not told that we had to buy meals and drinks ahead of time?! We had no food for an 8 hour flight and couldn't even buy a soft drink?! We were on an outdated plane leased plane from EVA Air and there were maybe 10 movies to choose from? Also, my reading light was broken. Not the level of care that I've come to know from Air NZ and really disappointed."

Cons: "Seats are not as well padded as some carriers which becomes important on long flights. Heathrow gates are very long distances for anyone with mobility issues and switching terminals is confusing if not done regularly. Onboard staff was helpful. On board entertainment was free and varied. No WiFi?"
Pros: "this is Second times to use Air NZ to go to LA. before flight, they found technical problem, but ok .. nothing happen . Ground saffs helped us before on board . hope to use again ."

Cons: "The flight was delayed by 50 mins. Missed my connecting flight from Auckland, so had to spend 3 hours at the airport. A voucher for internet access would’ve been nice."

Why would you serve something like curry on an airplane that’s not at all agreeable to at least half the people on the plane and then force the rest of us to eat it when you run out of the other option? My seat recliner was broken so I got to sit straight up for 12 hours."

Cons: "The on ground experience in Los Angeles was horrible (not Air New Zealand's fault). Made our plane (a scheduled flight?) park well over a mile from the terminals and bus passengers into customs. LA Customs is always a hassle, way too long of lines and agents with an attitude. One custom officer (the final check through) was great, the rest were grouches."

Cons: "Recheck through LA TSA to domestic flight with United, was further hassle, might as well get naked to get through. Seat recline, too limiting (not asking much, just a bit further back). Pretzels were stale. Cabin crew seemed more friendly with dead heading pilots than passengers."

Cons: "due to a medical emergency, we sat on the plane for two hours before a decision could be made as to whether or not we needed to return to the gate. keep in mind, this was in addition to the 13 hour flight from LAX to NZ. it was a very long evening/day of travel."

Pros: "We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline."

Cons: "I was shocked at the baggage charge upon checking in and was told I just purchased a seat from Virgin Australia but no baggage transport with the flight. When kayak directed me to VA, I made the purchase and certainly did not remember being offered a chance to purchase baggage fee as other airlines offer (e.g. BA). While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."
Pros: "Flew spaceseat home and loved it to pieces. Tired so fell asleep for main course. Remote gate boarding but that is LAX's airports fault. Crew are brilliant as always. Good to chat. Smooth flight home - yay!"

Pros: "Loved the landing lollies :) I was in a comfortable seat for a 3.5hr flight, and the entertainment system was on par with Qantas. I've long been a staunch Qantas traveller but will remain open to air NZ when travelling to NZ in future."
