Crew is personal, friendly, efficient and helpful. Together they made the ride even more enjoyable. A+++
Seat are large and wide, as expected in premium economy. The shell seat makes reclining non-intrusive to others, it also eats in your own space but I find this a non issue due to the tremendous leg room (42”, even better than all other premium economy that I know of), be careful of the sliding mechanism as I nearly got stuff stuck inside, the seat belt is the airbag type, it also attaches to the shell so when you recline you have to loosen it. The seat itself is hard and the headrest is too high to support my neck, so expect to need lots of pillows to make yourself comfortable. Foot storage is ok and there is a gap to store more things between seats and between the seat and the window for window seats, which I find surprisingly useful. Footrest is too high and makes your legs hang above the legrest (good for them to include that too) so I didn’t use the foot rest. Lunch was supposedly a highlight but I find the sea food rice bland and there isn’t really much seafood to speak of. The small biscuit in the side dish is wet and disgusting. Cold spaghetti as a side dish is also weird. The breakfast served before landing was great, they call it “chewing” salmon and millet short pasta, and perfectly coincides the sunrise which makes for a amazing experience. Attendants picked the trays way too late which makes me unable to go out for a walk as all our tables is full of empty trays. Both meals comes with plentiful choices of beverages and amazingly, metal cutlery. Rice crackers tasted great. Snacks in the economy class gallery have little choices. Japanese style high tech toilets look stylish but for part of the flight, the drainage in one of the sink didn’t work. Also, it seems like there is only 2 bathrooms in the business class cabin so sometimes they come to use our toilets, still largely enough for us though, if business passengers didn’t come 2 bathrooms for the 40 seats premium cabin would be great. In later part of the trip we were flying quite low (33000-35000ft) and is somewhat turbulent, it looked like there is no clouds much above us so I wonder if we could have avoided some turbulence by flying higher. Wi-Fi was slightly expensive unless you have a connecting flight (I do but the wifi is broken in the previous leg), speed was good. I got lounge access even on premium economy, which elevated the experience a LOT. They provided a amenity kit with ear plugs, moisture mask, eye mask, tooth brush and toothpaste which is great. Noise canceling headphones is also provided but the active noise canceling was barely noticeable. Overall the experience is either ok or great, only bad part was the first meal.
Food is probably the best I’ve had in the sky I like that they serve it in the morning instead at late night, lots of drinks to chose from. but the promised Haagen Dazs ice cream never came. Seat was very wide as it is 2-4-2 compared to 3-3-3 for all other Airlines’ 787, the IFE box makes the under seat storage slightly lacking. Touchless flush is a plus.
Delayed on boarding and take off NRT-MNL, affecting my transportation in MNL. Work on boarding earlier and meeting or exceeding scheduled take off times.

Really... how can one compare the 787 with individual on demand entertainment, roomy seats, full meal service (they'll even bring a meal to you if you were asleep during the normal service), etc... all for no extra charge?!?!? We had an a-hole sitting in front of us at 51F during our flight to Narita and he was trying hard to argue with us in English, and even told us to move to another seat. When I had the flight attendant (her name is Sako on flight JL736 on Jul 26) over to discuss (in English) she went to the guy in front of us and started apologizing to him. For what??? She then came back to us speaking in Japanese and brushed the issue away. Sorry, no this was not acceptable, even though my fiance was okay with the situation."

Cons: "Flight from Taipei to Tokyo was delayed and ultimately cancelled because of "mechanical failure". Many passengers on the flight including us had international connections through Tokyo, with only an hour between flights. It was clear we were all going to miss this connection, but in a frantic and haphazard way, the JAL crew's only solution at the gate was just to get us all on the next flight out to Tokyo (I believe via China Air) no matter what our individual final destinations were. They said "from Narita, they will handle all your connections to your final destination." This was a bizarre solution. Why not reroute us individually on other partner airlines, through other countries/cities, from this international airport in Taipei, like airlines usually do? (Also, all of this disorganized communication by the JAL crew at the gate was never translated into English, I just happen to speak a little mandarin and was able to understand what they were directing us to do). My wife was the one who searched for an alternative route on her phone (through HK instead of Tokyo) via their partner airline Cathay pacific and showed it to the JAL rep at the transfer counter, and through a series of radio and phone calls, only then did they say "there might be seats left", but they couldn't book the seats for us there. In order to make the flight, we had to sprint ourselves to a completely different terminal and concourse to another transfer counter to finally book our seats on this Cathay flight. Needless to say, our luggage did not get pulled from JAL in time to make it on the Cathay flights, so we are waiting 2-3 days for them to hopefully be found and sent to us. Overall, I was completely disappointed by the JAL staff, who didn't take responsibility or ownership of the situation, and who's solution to just fly everyone out to Tokyo, no matter our final destination, and to leave us to figure out our connections there was extremely short-sighted and irresponsible, and was a total disservice to their customers. I expect much more from this airline. On another note, we flew JAL from Boston to Tokyo, and Tokyo to Taipei: the food was terrible and food options were really subpar for an international flight, I would've expected much better from JAL and the dreamliner flight."

Pros: "The flight was less busy than usual (it was an Easter Sunday departure) and so service was a bit more relaxed and friendly than usual instead of just efficient. Left gate a few minutes early and arrived 20 min early in Tokyo. Flight time is pretty good - 8pm departure which gives time for a relaxed day sightseeing in Dusseldorf before going to the airport in the late afternoon, Arrival in Tokyo is about 2pm which would be a good time to check in to hotels and relax. Food was good - dinner after take-off and a brunch-type meal a few hours before landing. Entertainment system is also very good although I'd flown a lot recently so seen the films I wanted to see already. Sometimes ANA are just "good" but this one was the best one I've flown recently."

Flight was super delayed, ground crew gave different instructions, was very confusing.
They keep the planes really warm, uncomfortably warm, and are apparently too cheap to have the personal air vents installed, so no way to cool down in your tiny little seat. Just awful. The food choices were amazing and endless and included which was great (beverages too). However, our plane crashed, which really sucked. All in all I won't fly Korean again (mostly because it was hot and uncomfortable).

This particular pet owner chose to let his/her pet cry out pet's stress + discomfort throughout the flight and annoy all passengers. Pet owner took no action, for example, gave no sedative to the pet or hold the pet to provide comfort or safety. I personally find such behavior irresponsible."

Cons: "It appears the flight attendants catered more for Koreans than others. On several occasions they would ask Korean passengers if they wanted coffee, tea or wine. They looked at me and deliberately ignored me. This happened on Flight from Houston to Manila. From Hong Kong to Seoul and especially from Seoul to Houston. I had to ask thrice for a head phone before I got one. I was wide awake."

Cons: "I did not like having to rush through the transfer from Hong Kong to Seoul to SFO. customs in Seoul can be slow. wish their baggage limitations carried the same from initial flight to the transfers."
The food was bad. Cold rice and dal and poor quality. I paid extra for sitting, but did not receive the service. It was 15.5 hours flight. When I ask for water, the air hostess answer was to wait. I had to get out to ask for water. They should be providing water or juice all the time. Hydration is important for everyone. The flight from Miami to Doha was good. Food should always include fruits and vegetables.

Pros: "I wish this airline had more service within the US!! This airline is impeccable. We flew 16 hours from Doha to Miami and it was amazing. At the airport in Doha the flight representative went above and beyond to accommodate better seating for myself and my son. Luckily it was not a full flight and lots of the passengers had plenty of space. The staff is VERY friendly and VERY professional. I will definitely be giving this airline my hard earned money in the future for reservations as much as I can!!!!"

Since a new policy of TSA according to them, you cannot take your computer with you in the plane. This means that working in your way back is very hard and you will be loosing the day which is very uneficient. But what was even worse, is that they didn't allow me to check my bag in the last connection gettting to the US, instead they made me check it from my original destination which made me loose almost two days of work without giving me a logic response on why I couldn't check my bag from my inbound flight to the US. By the way, this protocol from TSA is terrible. No internet in their flights No chargers plugs in all of their flights (including the ones that take you more than 4 hours) Lunch in their 15 hours flight is mediocre, everyone was starving since they only gave us one mini empanada."
