Flights there and back were both delayed but did not receive any notification until at the airport. This caused me to miss appointments. An email would've been nice! In fact Im still not on my return flight because it was delayed so long. They need to better there communication. Also nothing is complimentary on flights... Not even water!
I got an email before dept that flight delayed but no time listed so called and guy said was not delayed but then found out it really was delayed about 6 hrs. Then return flight, did not get email for delayed flight so assumed was on time, drove from Gold Coast to Brisbane extra early and then got to airport to find out flight delayed 4 hrs and missed appt I had for arrival and had to again pay a $50 change fee for my connecting flight. So lost a night at hotel that I paid for plus $100 in change fees with connecting flight and asked Jetstar to comp luggage as they couldn't even do that. Ridiculous. Will not fly them in the future. Be consistent in how you communists delays. Only good thing was plane was clean. Nickel and dime you for everything.
The staff were friendly and generous with the free alcohol.
The free movies were OK.
I appreciated the blanket and pillow for 9.5 hour flight.

The seats were a bit hard to put back for a sleeping position.

On the flight over to Honolulu I paid the extra money fot the extra leg room - definitely worth it. Should have done this for the return flight. Seats 11a & 11b were excellent.
My first experience with Jetstar was mediocre. No service, no food, no water/drinks offered, delayed flight with no adequate notification of flight status. When flying international it is vital to have good customer service which Jetstar is lacking. With all the add ons to pay for food, drinks,baggage, etc. you are better off paying a little more for another higher quality airlines. I was surprised that Jetstar is a subsidy of Qantas. Look, you get what you pay for. On that basis, I was pretty happy with the flight.
Gate agents were fantastic. Really, really good. Follow the rules, pay for your baggage and you'll be fine.
Kind of surprised how bad the english of some of the attendants was.

I don't know because j never made the flight. I got a completely different time of the flight than what the time really was which caused me to missed the flight. On top of that I was treated rudely whenever I called to get another flight and I was unable to be helped. Additionally I never got a a refund. I am in the military and was out of 1400 moving costs on a flight that wasn't worth it. Never using again
