Cons: "Very comfortable flight!"
Pros: "The flight was on time"
Cons: "too crowded"
Cons: "Top carrier"
Pros: "Seat comfortable and the seatbelts actually fit!"
Cons: "Nothing relly"
Pros: "Cree was great. The switch from one airplane to another was smooth. Snacks were great selection and enjoyed the WiFi"
Cons: "Everything was great"
Pros: "this is the airline"
Pros: "The flight attendant (age gentleman) with the quite sense of humor, and converse with a measure of ease. A role model for others, a nice aptitude than one can learn from."
Cons: "Just keep up the good work and always work towards self development. Treat others the way you would like to be treated, with respect."
Pros: "Nothing three hours late I went to dc and then took the train"
Cons: "Seat was old and killed my back. Paid for a comfort plus seat, but from what I could tell it was no different that economy. Still had to gate check my single carry on, no entertainment system, no in flight texting. I felt ripped off"
Pros: "Crew was really nice."
Cons: "My first flight was delay because of that I lost my second flight."
Cons: "Cramped seats, rude flight attendant"
Cons: "We left Salt Lake City so late that I missed all my train connections and ruined my plans."
Pros: "Standard boarding The plane was on time"
Cons: "Better boarding process.Such as the one used by Southwest"
Pros: "The flight was on time the crew and captain was very helpful. They got us on and off quickly and safe"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Almost 3 hours of delayed"
Cons: "Almost"
Pros: "Crew was the best I have had in 2019 on Delta, the only good crew."
Cons: "Everything at the Atlanta Airport. From the airport and staff itself to those working for Delta Airlines. It has been so bad, that I am thinking of flying with American Airlines again and avoiding the Atlanta Airport all together. Absolutely the worst airport in the country, Delta not much better"
Pros: "Good entertainment options."
Cons: "Only water and coffee available. Flight had been delayed over an hour."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I paid to be in row 1 first class, when I checked in I was in the first row, then as I boarded I was told my seat changed to the back row in first class for no reason at all. I choose the 1st row for a ready and I expect to sit there! 2 flights in a row that Delta moved my seat for no reason"
Pros: "Entertaining crew"
Cons: "On time arrival (we were late)."
Pros: "I like flying Delta. Make you feel comfortable and at ease."
Pros: "The crew was nice, the flight was so short, there was little interaction with them."
Cons: "Boarding was a disaster, people didn’t have seats which caused a delay in boarding. It was a mess. The seats were uncomfortable and too small. I know it’s a short flight but it was just too tight in there. The flight was delayed and the communication was all over; the time was constantly changin"
Pros: "Don't know yet, because I have not left Korea."
Cons: "Not happy that DELTA changed my flight again and now I arrive (6) hours later in Philly. Longer layover in Detroit is not comforting! Hoping/praying that DELTA doesn't change more on this flight going home!"
Pros: "nice crew"
Cons: "terrible seat comfort, late departure due to airline’s booking problems"
Pros: "Boarding was very smooth and the crew were helpful, efficient, and polite. There was a good assortment of entertainment."
Cons: "I ordered the beef tenderloin, medium. It came out extremely rare and I had already eaten some by the time I realized; the entire plate was filled with blood. I ended up sick to my stomach for the remainder of the flight. Average height to tall individuals do not fit well laying down in the seats."
Pros: "We left early"
Pros: "Flight was safe, smooth & fast."
Pros: "Pilot was courteous, pleasant and kept us informed of flight status."
Cons: "Seats have no leg room!!!"
Pros: "It was too cold on the flight. I asked for a blanket and luckily the stewardess had one. However, before giving it to me, she told me it was the only one on the flight!"
Pros: "Smooth , fast, comfortable"
Pros: "Crew was awesome"
Cons: "No TV unfortunately"
Pros: "What I liked was getting to my house."
Cons: "The air-conditioning was extremely cold; on the positive side, I was given a blanket. The plane did not have any kind of tv screen in which to watch films or programs. Space was unbelievably tight between seats and rows; I cannot imagine a horizontally or vertically big person having any level of comfort. In general, the service was quite poor, making me wonder how does Delta treat the flight attendants, for they seemed tired and careless. The above did not happen in any of my other flights: Atlanta-Guadalajara, Guadalajara-CDMX, CDMX-Atlanta."
Pros: "Everything, smooth flight with an entertaining crew."
Cons: "NA"
Pros: "The exit row seats reclined."
Cons: "USB charging didn't appear to work. No meal service. Very brief lay over. This is bad because a 6A flight from RNO to SLC with a <50m layover and then a SLC to PHL flight means that you do not get any food until 11P when landing in PHL."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "No entertainment on flight. No smoking in Minneapolis airport"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly, the flight fast and calm."
Cons: "Nothing that can be done, just tough being 6'5" in a connection plane."
Pros: "Made it out of Detroit that same day! Friendly flight attendants!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed. And then cancelled. We were booked into a later flight 8 hours later that was also delayed again due to weather but we did make it out of Detroit that night. Other people were not as lucky."
Pros: "They have great and friend staff."
Cons: "Delta treats any passenger that isn't a member of their skymiles or anyone that doesn't purchase a seat in advance like peasants. You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines..."
Cons: "my flight from JFK to Cancun had entertainment (TV, movie screen, headphones, etc). This one did not. Was kinda disappointed."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable"
Cons: "If flight is full all the time get a bigger plane"
Cons: "NO ENTERTAINMENT no snacks on the second flight after an hr 24 layover AND 52 minutes delay, seat near the bathroom which smelled horrible"
Cons: "All "carry-ons" were taken at the jetway, which was fine. But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"
Pros: "Our plane had mechanical issue with a parking brake which they left us know about once we loaded the plane. Unfortunately it was going to take to long so they switched us to another plane."
Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."
Pros: "Cookies"
Cons: "Space"
Pros: "Gate agent was great. Smooth boarding and very attentive flight crew."
Cons: "The only negative was an older aircraft but the crew went out of their way to talk to people about setting up entertainment."
Pros: "Extremely miserable"
Cons: "Lots of delays and surprise cancelations"
Pros: "The attendants"
Cons: "The delay and no free wifi."
Pros: "Tail winds provided an early arrival. When my flight was rebooked due to a delay on my first booking I was upgraded to Permium booking and drinks were complementary on the flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia."
Cons: "None of the USB outlets were working in isle 7 A-C"
Cons: "More comfortable seats you can sleep in"
Cons: "The plane was completely packed despite the COVID pandemic. A stranger sat next to me on the plane (distance of about 6 inches, not 6 feet). What social distancing? And yet they conveniently said no food/drink beverage for safety reasons. Good way for the airline to save a few bucks. Other airlines (like JetBlue) block out adjacent sears and give snacks in individual bags but this... I flew several times since the pandemic began and this was by far the worst. What a joke of an airline. Never flying them again"
Pros: "The crew were wonderful and understanding and good sports."
Cons: "There were problems as soon as the plane got to the gate. After the passengers got off the plane, the man at the counter came on the P.A and said it’ll be a few minutes, they’re catering the plane now from the back to the front. The flight crew still needed to get on a preform safety checks. He apologized again. Then it was 8:40, time to take off and we’re still waiting to even board. The man at the counter said again, thank you for your patience and relayed the same message, only this time the flight attendants were walking away from the gate. Around 9 some lady higher up told the man to announce that the flight crew had timed out and stand by crew was on the way to the gate, said sorry again. A little later the man says sorry, there’s a gate change. You’re going to K6 now. When we get to the new gate it’s almost 9:30pm and while we were all gathered at the gate, the flight crew that supposedly “timed out” showed up and proceeded to get on the plane. Passengers started getting mad and saying we were lied to and to just tell us the truth. Chicago PD started showing up. We finally got on the plane but it would be another 30 minutes before we moved because of issues getting our bags off the original plane. We ended up being almost 2 hours delayed."
Pros: "It was a short flight but it was clean and comfortable. The boarding process was organized also. Crew was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Everything was good."
Pros: "The pilot’s landing was phenomenal."
Pros: "crew were late, boarding was impacted, flight was delayed an hour"
Cons: "WiFi did not work. One seat had broken infotainment and one seat did not recline."
Pros: "Was comfortable"
Cons: "It was very turbulent and we could not be served anything. But still a good flight."
Cons: "Extraordinarily rude staff, no information, mess with gates, staff not willing to help. Really rude and awful-worst experience ever!"
Pros: "After the initial delay, the female desk agent got us on another connecting flight without a problem. Second flights attendant was also great."
Cons: "They boarded the plane, only to tell us they had to de-ice, which is understandable. However, after waiting 20 min for the de-icing that never came, they made us get back off the plane because of mechanical issues. The captain/pilot was rude to the woman working the desk over the radio, to the point where she had to leave the desk and go speak to him in person (she knew we could hear everything.) That conversation is also how the whole line of people was informed that then knew about this mechanical issue since the night before, and chose not to fix it before boarding all of us. After getting to Philadelphia later than expected, we were forced to pay for hotel food that was horrible and overpriced. Only to then have our plane be delayed AGAIN because of mechanical issues, again the pilot not giving much information to the attendant she was faced by a room of 40 angry people and had no answers. The departure time slowly crawled out longer, and the only reason I knew was because of having the American app. Information/communication on all ends was poor. I usually fly Allegiant, which is notoriously “cheap,” and I’ve never had an experience like this. Happy my boyfriend has flown with American before and knew to give us an extra day so we didn’t miss the wedding we paid $800 in airline tickets to attend. Just disappointed."
Pros: "Had pre assigned seats and American changed without saying anything."
Pros: "Everything."
Cons: "Waiting for 30 minutes a Dublin to dock."
Pros: "Outbound, it was on time, plenty of legroom, plenty of good snacks, drinks and food. An enjoyable flight. Score 10.0"
Cons: "Return flight - The flight departed 4 hours late. The seating was so cramped my husband couldn't move his legs at all, never mind try to sleep. The staff members were not smart in appearance, some with long untidy hair, and did not interact with passengers except to hand out food. The food was reasonable. We disembarked feeling like wrecks. Score 2.0"
Cons: "The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."
Pros: "AA got me home safe."
Cons: "Entertainment was nonexistant. Most movies were unavailable and those that were would start and then say “no longer available” monitor did not work. I was not the only passenger with issues. Many could not get system to work. Antiquated and/or poorly maintained. Also, announcement made it seem as if you had to pay for wine/beer/spirits. I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)"
Pros: "The in flight staff was very friendly"
Cons: "Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("
Pros: "Good time for flight"
Cons: "Tight, hot inside plane, no refreshments"
Pros: "Nothing - the flight from Chicago to Philadelphia was delayed by about 2 hours. Luckily, was able to get the flight switched to a Chicago - London direct flight."
Cons: "The connecting flight from Philadelphia to Manchester would've been missed. So, American Airlines booked the same flight for 24 hours later. Luckily, they offered a different flight. Due to the flight changes, the prepaid ground transportation from Manchester to Leeds wasn't used. Transportation from London to Leeds had to be purchased at a much greater additional expense."
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "The flight was late due to maintenance and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. American Airlines customer assistance at the airport was absolutely terrible. They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again."
Pros: "Nice flight, great leg room, staff was friendly and flight was on time."
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "I was traveling today with my daughter, who is 6 months pregnant, my 3 1/2 & 18 month old grandsons, my husband & son-in law on an international flight from Chicago to Manchester. I was very disappointed a 757 was used for an international flight! No attempt was made by staff to accomodate our family with a extra seat for the infant, even though there were a large number of rows with empty middle seats (4 of which were directly behind them!) The 1st indication of the beginning of the NIGHTMARE was when the plane arrived in Chicago and overshot the gate, this caused almost an hour delay! (We heard our crew saying "oops" while looking out the window at the plane arriving & then again when they were discussing it would have been faster if the plane had used a different method to get to the gate again.) This was then followed by a mechanical problem with a frozen water valve, requiring us to be de-iced x2! Then we started to taxi out and again had to return because of a hydraulic problem that required repair. I think we were delayed almost 3.5 hours. The crew did bring a round of water during the onground delays, and offered free drinks later in the flight. The icing on the cake was not getting the stroller back at the gate because there were no baggage handlers. I can't tell you how much FUN that was trying to corral a toddler & 3yr old with all our carry-on bags while getting thru customs! Did I mention in our haste to get off that plane we overlooked my daughter's winter maternity coat in the overhead! May be time to switch to the Friendlier Skies of United for our UK travel!"
Pros: "I like that American Airlines did not charge for my carry-on. It was a short flight but we also received a snack and a drink for free. That was nice. I will definitely consider American airline before others when I plan my next trip."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I chose a package on the cheap flights that has a left hand side for choosing number of baggage which invariably inreases fare depending on the number of baggage and i choose 2 and paid for 2 baggage but the ticket came with 1 baggage and i contacted both by phone call, email and your website but did not get any fsvourable response. Had to pay again at the airport for the extra bag. This is highly unfair."
Cons: "Itinerary did not mention the British ran through AA. It Mede me confused. Back and force between two check in desk."
Pros: "The entertainment was good. Lots of choices. Food was about what I would expect for airline food."
Cons: "The seats were terrible. I don't know what it was about them, but I've never had a more uncomfortable flight. My husband had leg cramps for much of the flight and couldn't get comfortable. The rest of the flight was fine, but the uncomfortable seats were a huge minus. We'll probably try to avoid 787s from now on. The window-darkening system was annoying. They darkened the windows when it was dark outside and they darkened the cabin, so we couldn't look out the window. It was dark outside--why the need to darken the windows?? My husband requests window seats so he can look out the window."
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Pros: "Arrived on time !"
Cons: "We arrived on time but this is the 9th Flight in A row into PHILADELPHIA that we can’t Find an open Gate. Then we just sit and wait 15 to 30 minutes! No other airport that we travel To has this problem!"
Pros: "Because this flight was NOT full, my wife and I had the entire center section to stretch out. This made our 7.5 hour flight amazingly comfortable. The Airbus A300 was a reasonably new aircraft. Everything was clean and looked good. The food was exceptionally good. My wife and I both commented on how good the food was (my wife stated, "it was the best airplane food ever"). The main meal, the hotbox snack, and the late in flight chocolate ice cream were ALL good. The staff were great, friendly, service oriented, nice people."
Cons: "Navigating through Heathrow"
Pros: "It was on time. Crew were very good."
Cons: "Plane seemed very dated. No individual entertainment No USB chargers Not much space"
Cons: "The airline "randomly" selected me for extra security. Even though I have TSA pre-check I was jostled around, sent to multiple security lines without any reasoning and the local Chicago TSA and airport staff didn't seem to know what to do. Once it was figured out I was subjected to what was essentially a cavity search. Again I HAVE TSA-pre-check but apparently that means nothing if an airline flags you. It was an extremely upsetting experience but you were in a situation of either agree to the invasive search or get stranded over 1000 miles from home. I will NEVER fly Iberia again after a cancelled flight and being stranded in the wrong country on the way to my vacation and the horrible security experience on the way back. I seriously may never go to Chicago either after seeing the complete lack of organization and traumatizing personal invasion. I fly a lot for work and have never had such a horrible experience. I would really like to know how many terrorists are caught with these invasive searches and would love to know the justification for sticking your hands inside someone's pants and grabbing their privates after they have already gone through a metal detector AND the body scanner. Especially for someone who has already passed a federal background check to obtain pre-check status. Absolutely ridiculous."
Pros: "We were notified of the pending delay in our flight from Athens to Philly very promptly on the morning of the 10th. We immediately called and spoke to a British Airways agent and also a supervisor who was understanding and kind enough to accommodate us by reserving seats on a later connecting flight with American Airlines from Philly to Phoenix. We did not receive a confirming email and ended up calling back. We were then told that Vouchers will be waiting for us at the Philadelphia airport with our names."
Cons: "When we checked in at Athens airport there was no information available for our connecting flight in Philadelphia. The AA counter was chaotic, the agents were rude and had changed our seats to 2 separate areas. When we arrived in Philadelphia there were no vouchers waiting for us. The only thing that the agent could find were seat assignments . We stood in line over an hour waiting for her to figure out what had happened and almost missed our connecting flight . Even though my daughter was in a wheelchair with a brace on her leg and in pain, the agent at the counter was not very empathetic at all. The agent also kept saying that this was not correct somebody made a mistake to tell us we were booked and that person will get in trouble. Eventually she spoke with the supervisor and gave us 2 boarding passes."
Pros: "Seats quite comfortable. Crew ok."
Cons: "Pitiful food offering and no entertainment at all when on previous 1.5 hour AA flight choice of movies."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Boarding-we boarded class 9 and had a carry on that was to big so all 3 personnel yelled at me and my husband with my daughter in my arms very loud and disrespectfully " YOU CAN NOT BRING THESE TYPE OF BAGS ON THE PLANE!" Mind you 3 people are saying this while other people were also waiting to board the plane! So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! That experience was horrible and ruined my liking for AA"
Cons: "Delays, broken plane, not even a water while waiting . Took 8 hours to get to provedence RI from Chicago. Crew was not friendly!"
Pros: "Flight wasn't full so I had the row to myself and got to stretch out. Great selection of movies. Decent food."
Cons: "One FA seemed visibly annoyed with me; I'm honestly not sure what I did. I am a FA for another airline; didn't identify myself as such but always make sure to not be "that passenger." During two beverage services she did not ask me if I wanted anything but simply looked at me with disdain and sighed loudly. She wasn't rude; just not friendly and I never once saw her smile. She seemed tired and annoyed. I understand that feeling. I've been a FA for 16 years, still junior at my company, but it reminded me how important body language and facial expressions are when we work hospitality and customer service in the public eye. I hope everything is ok with her and I'm sorry if I did something that irritated her. I didn't get her name."
Pros: "Food, OK legroom, complimentary wine & beer on a US carrier"
Cons: "Barely functioning ancient touchscreen system"
Cons: "My outbound flight to Manila had an overnight layover in Japan. I asked at the luggage check-in at O'Hare International Airport if they can check it all the way through as I had planned to go outside of the Narita airport for the layover. They told me I couldn't check the luggage all the way through and that I had to pick it up from baggage claim once I land in Narita. From there I had to check-in the luggage again on the same day. When I took my luggage out from baggage claim, I tried to check-in and the counter crew told me I was given wrong information. I had to keep my luggage with me until my flight the following day. On my return flight from Manila and another overnight layover in Narita, the check-in crew at NAIA told me I could check-in my luggage all the way through, and that they also allowed this at my outbound flight to Manila. The check-in crew at O'Hare International Airport gave me wrong information."
Pros: "Eventually we made it"
Cons: "Plane was delayed because a door wasn't working (old). Business class entertainment was a tablet that was collected an hour before we landed. Food was very bland."
Pros: "On time and smooth flight"
Pros: "Flight was straightforward and crew were pleasant."
Cons: "The boarding process was not so good. It was a busy flight and they needed to put luggage underneath asking for volunteer, then after a certain point it was mandatory. I completely appreciate the need for it to happen, but it turned into caos. People everywhere stood waiting. My suggestion would be to have people who need to check baggage stand off to the side and continue boarding those who are ready to go."
Pros: "Equipment was an A330. I was seated in Row 11 and had priority boarding. As a result, I had considerable leg room and not trouble finding overhead space. Seating in the back has several inches less "pitch" between seats. A330s provide a very smooth ride."
Cons: "Food: Salad was good, you could taste the arugula. Chicken, once you scrape off the barbecue sauce, was decent. The rest of the lunch did not seem worth eating. The best option if you are hungry is to either eat in the terminal or bring something you do enjoy with you. The movie selection had nothing you likely have not seen already. Be aware that sometimes PHL moves slowly. We waited over 5 minutes for the plane door to open. Bags took about 40 minutes to come up. There were no lines at immigration. Connecting in less than 2 hours can be iffy."
Pros: "Nothing. It was fast."
Cons: "VERY small plane."
Cons: "Next time dont delay my flight 11h!!!!"
Pros: "Nice short flight"
Cons: "Plane was very warm upon boarding due to issues with auxiliary cooling but informed it would change as engines turned on . I sat in row 20 and it was very cold during flight. Flight attendant inquired about comfort. It improved for about 10 minutes and returned to cold state . Noticed that one attendant put on some kind of jacket due to coldness . Nearby passengers retrieved blankets from their carry on baggage. Glad I had at least a light jacket to throw over me and that my legs were partially covered. Guess it's better to be too cool than too hot. Otherwise. It was s great flight ."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "4 hora de retraso ni una cortesía empleados bien carnepuercos"
Pros: "No complaints"
Pros: "I had my first experience in the Admiral's Lounge at O'Hare and enjoyed it very much."
Cons: "My traveling companion's tray table was disgusting when she folded it down for beverage service. She asked for a wet towel and the flight attendant was snarky but went to get one without even looking or asking to see what the problem was. Her entertainment console wasn't working so they reset it but instead it reset mine (two seats over) they did this again and I let them know it was resetting mine. I was told that I was not in the seat they were resetting for ...I inquired if perhaps they should try to reset mine and see if it would, in fact, fix hers..it did. When she slipped off her shoes the carpet was soaking wet. This was a really crummy, crummy flight."
Cons: "The flight from Phillie to Albany was very warm. Stewardess genuinely apologized."

Departed late. Seats were ok but the plane was dirty.

Staff was great , plane interior was poor. The seat pocket in front of my seat was unusable and the seat pocket in front of my husbands seat had a bar sticking out of it and was ripped. Overall the entire cabin looked worn and dirty.

Cons: "Kept getting delayed"
Cons: "Overall good thanks"
Cons: "Delayed on tarmac 20mins in Chicago, then delayed getting to the get in Philly, bags took 40 mins to get to carousel"
Cons: "Long wait time"
Pros: "Flight crew. Entertainment."
Cons: "2 hours late. No room for 22 inch carry-on in the overhead."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Worst crew, bad food, small personal space. Cheapskate company."
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "I hated my seat. Last row. Seat didn’t recline. Right next to the bathroom. That should not even be a row for passengers!"
Cons: "Luggage took 30 minutes to get to pickup and it was covered in vinegar. The snacks on the ride really stink. A little bag of pretzels. Boarding and I boarding took forever"
Pros: "Flight was on time. Everything went smooth for being in coach."
Cons: "Tight seats, seat belt uncomfortable"
Pros: "Nice crew"
Cons: "Hot, crowded. Wifi horrible"
Cons: "Delayed departure and several gate changes"
Pros: "Good"
Cons: "None"
Pros: "I was able to make my flight."
Cons: "Crew were not friendly or helpful while boarding."
Pros: "Associates were nice and knowledgeable. The airplanes were comfortable. Love the onetime performance of scheduling."
Cons: "Unite Airline performance wasn't the good. Also, there was nobody in Chicago to help us with the transferring process."
Pros: "The fact that we got there safely."
Cons: "Took them 90 minutes to fix a seat belt because they kept bringing the wrong part. They got it right the third try. The cabin crew sat in the back and chatted for an hour while we sat at gate. Not even a glass of water offered. Then we were diverted to Pittsburg because of weather and sat for an hour. Again no water offered. So on 5 plus hour flight crew went around once. The final straw was they blamed weather for the delay when in fact it was not being able to find the correct seat belt in due time."
Pros: "There was a delay due to thunderstorms and the female pilot handled it extremely well"
Cons: "Not enough leg room"
Pros: "FREE TV on the plane....all planes should have it."
Pros: "Even though the plane was having a lot of issues the crew stayed positive and the captain came out and spoke to us directly. Even though it was a crappy flight I was happy it wasn't cancelled."
Cons: "The plane had almost no AC and there was a landing gear issue that needed to be fixed. So that held us up for an hour at the gate. The plane ride was pretty hot due to the lack AC."
Cons: "Flight never happened. American Airlines saved the day. It seems to me, the issues with United are deeper than we ever thought. I was highly disappointed with their inability to rectify the situation."
Cons: "i sat in front of the exit row which was feeezing. My boyfriend and I needed extra blankets because it is a red eye and sleeping is important but they would not give them to us. We were pretty much shivering the entire way home and could not sleep."
Cons: "Flight attendant were not courteous"
Cons: "No internet so made for a boring flight"
Pros: "Staff was very kind and genuine"
Cons: "the plane was absolutely freezing cold!"
Cons: "4 hour delay, no power in basic economy only power if you upgraded to economy comfort."
Pros: "Flihht was cancelled night before. Rep said impossoble to get him home the same day. Looking online there were flights available, just more expensive and doesnt follow their policy. Very disapointed"
Cons: "I didn't like the 1 hr delay and sitting on the plane for an hr before take off"
Pros: "With these short flights on small planes, the best we can ask for is an on-time departure and smooth flying - which is just what we got."
Pros: "very smooth and fast"
Cons: "some of the united employees were rude"
Pros: "The man at the counter gave me a much better seat than I originally had. He was pleasant and very customer-friendly. I can't remember his name but he had brown hair, glasses and a mustache. I was extremely exhausted from my Las Vegas flight and it helped me greatly."
Pros: "Boarding on time, wi-Fi entertainment and staff were friendly"
Cons: "Nothing to suggest"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "N/a"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly and as planned"
Pros: "Attendants were nice."
Cons: "No entertainment screens & last seat didn't recline."
Pros: "In flight entertainment worked. Staff was friendly."
Cons: "I had no issue with the delay, things happen. I was dealing with a knee injury and the gate plan had us all over the airport. It was quite frustrating to get to a gate in another terminal only to get told we were being moved back to the terminal we had just come from! Then that gate was changed again, involving another long walk on said bad knee!"
Pros: "The crew members were very friendly"
Cons: "My seat was a tad bit uncomfortable."
Cons: "There was a sick passenger on board. The crew spent 40 minutes trying to convince him to get off the plane. He refused and after 40 minutes, they left him on and we finally left the gate."
Cons: "The Flight was late taking off with no explanation. We were on the plane for an hour prior to takeoff with no AC. The cabin was extremely uncomfortable."
Pros: "flight attendants were pleasant. plane was clean"
Cons: "I was stuck with commercials for direct tv, two feet from my face the whole trip. I would push the button to turn tv off but it would come back on less than five minutes latter. I had my head phones in listening to personal device but was still distracting. speaker for announcements were extremely loud. the poor lady next to me would jump and then plug her ears. question, if you are allowed one carry on and one personal bag, why do you only have space for a third of the passengers to stow said bags?"
Pros: "honestly nothing"
Cons: "Both my flights were delayed. The seats are cramped and uncomfortable. They don't give any food at all. There is no free entertainment."
Pros: "We were slightly delayed departing because of a mechanical concern. Thankfully there was nothing wrong so we departed within a few minutes. To compensate the pilot authorized free direct TV for the flight. Very nice I enjoyed a movie. We landed on time."
Cons: "Direct TV cut out for a couple minutes."
Pros: "Flight left OT."
Cons: "Uncomfortable slimline seats."
Pros: "Everything was ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Had to pay for Internet to watch airline movies on my device. Not enough leg room."
Cons: "Tight aisle"
Pros: "Everything!"
Pros: "Great comfort. Great crew service"
Pros: "Seats"
Cons: "The plane was supposed to have WIFI but it didn't."
Cons: "Boarding everyone in wheelchairs prior to or after everyone else. They brought 5-6 people down in wheelchairs while we were all lined up on the jet bridge and it created unnecessary chaos."
Pros: "Anithing"
Cons: "Anithi g"
Cons: "7 hours flight delay"
Cons: "Plane is filthy Please clean the aircraft!"
Pros: "Better chairs"
Cons: "More leg room"
Pros: "Flight was significantly delayed. The 3 people I was traveling with received $75 vouchers for the huge inconvenience, but I never got that email."
Cons: "Flight was significantly delayed. The 3 people I was traveling with received $75 vouchers for the huge inconvenience, but I never got that email."
Cons: "It took over an hour for bags from the flight to make it to the baggage claim"
Cons: "I didn’t like the $90 carry on baggage fee that I was suprised with at check in. And the fact that I arrived to the airport 3 hours early only to be told that frontier personnel do not arrive until exactly two hours before the flight."
Cons: "The flight was delayed due to weather, which is fine, the delay was 45 minutes, not a big deal....Here's the but...when it came to boarding time, they announced that it was not going to be boarding by zones and that everyone should just get on the plane. On top of what appeared to be a mass exodus, or perhaps something you'd see in a third world country, those people who paid more $$ to have carry on bags, in zone 1 and be able to board first were most certainly not feeling the value. The gate experience was not well organized or orchestrated. After getting off the plane, our daughter realized once in baggage claim that she left her backpack on the plane. Not being experienced in this area, we asked for help. A police officer told my wife to go to Frontier office, where there was no one in the office, someone else said have them paged. There was no white courtesy phone in the area that was operating, so she went to Southwest and asked if they could page someone to come to the Frontier office and they said no, walked to next terminal to find a working courtesy phone, paged someone to Frontier and within 5 minutes ,10 people showed up. Asked if someone could help. They radioed to the gate that a passenger left their bag. What the rep should have said was that they called the gate, hopefully someone locates and if they do, they will bring it here and we will check on it in a few minutes. The person didn't say a word, 5 minutes later my wife asked what happens now. After a nice sigh and eye roll, the Frontier rep says if they found, they bring it. My wife asked would it be possible to see if they found it instead of just waiting around here for bodies to appear. The bag was eventually found and returned but the experience was just now a good one to say the least."
Cons: "Horrible delay , uncourteous attendants , not even drinking water is free More or less every airline of America is like this except Southwest ."
Pros: "I thought the pilot was funny over the loud speakers, the crew was friendly."
Cons: "The seats were a little uncomfortable I was lucky to have the row to myself but couldn't stretch out because of the oddly placed arm rest."
Cons: "After being delayed on the first leg of my trip, we arrived in Denver being told to go to a particular gate. Once there we were told it was moved to another gate. This happened a total of 4 times! Again the flight was delayed. The pilot/co pilot made a negative comment on the PA about the airline after apologizing for the confusion. I was not given the opportunity to choose my seat. When I checked in, I asked to change from the middle seat I was assigned to, to a aisle seat to accommodate my long legs and severe knee arthritis. The attendant at the desk looked at my boarding pass and exclaimed "well, your flying ECONOMY so I guess you'll just have to deal with it". Drinks that are complimentary on Alaska (soft drinks, juice , water etc.) were charged for. The attendants completely skipped my row and we were not offered anything. The attendant did provide me a diet cola at no cost when I brought it to her attention. All in all a miserable trip home, in such contrast to our flight there on Alaska Airlines at the same cost."
Cons: "Again, flight was at 8pm, received 3 delayed text messages, started boarding at 940pm, last text received was to be delayed till 1015pm but we were already on the plane, but didn't leave till 1040/1045pm."
Pros: "Check-in, Boarding and on time performance; friendly staff"
Cons: "The seats are really, really uncomfortable. Backs don't recline and the cushioning is so thin, I wondered why they bothered to put it in."
Pros: "On time flight."
Cons: "Very clean."
Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"
Pros: "Nothing at all."
Cons: "The outbound flight was delayed only three hours. The return flight was delayed three hours, after which we boarded and waited. After another hour we taxied to the runway and returned. I am grateful we did not take off with a defunct left-engine. We taxied back to the airport and de-planed--but only after being instructed not to talk to the other passengers. (Really.) The flight was not cancelled, even when the plane was towed to the hangar. Finally, after six hours, Frontier offered a refund--as they had no interest in placing us on another airline that was going to the same destination. I rented a car and drove from Charlotte to Philadelphia to retrieve my own car from the airport so I could arrive home 15 hours after my scheduled arrival. Frontier couldn't care less. NEVER again."
Cons: "Did not like that everything including seat assignment cost money. 1st time flying Frontier and did not know to expect ala carte pricing for literally everything. If you are on a budget and looking for the least expensive option you really can not tell what Frontier will cost in total."
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Seats don't recline and are very uncomfortable."
Pros: "The attendants who operated the wheelchairs were fantastic!"
Pros: "The markup on a can of soda is near 200% when selling it for 2.99. Lower that price and your sales will actually increase which will then rolli into more credit card sales."
Cons: "Every other airline offers you peanuts and a drink. Frontier nick and dimes the passenger for everything."
Pros: "Non-stop flight from Punta Gorda to Philly was convenient for the guests with which we stayed to drop us off. We got bumped up to 1st class when 2 seats together could not be found for my 13 yr old daughter & I."
Cons: "Very old plane 1st class didn't feel very 1st class. Uncomfortable seats Had to stow personal item in overhead due to 1st row & not storage from seat in front."
Pros: "Flight was on time, crew was friendly, plane was clean."
Cons: "Didn't find out about carry-on charges till flight was booked. Do your homework about luggage first! It just makes the flight seem cheaper than it really is. Not the most comfortable seats, but what do you expect for the price. 2 & 1/2 hours to Fla is about all you can deal with in those seats, for longer flights pick a more comfy plane."
Pros: "Very cheap flight. Ticket of price of $197 Denver to Philly round trip. However, once you factored in the luggage charges, the flight came to around $314. We were delayed two hours leaving Denver, and then when we got to Philly it took an hour and a half for them to get our bags to the carousel... unfortunately that wasn't the end of it. They somehow managed to put our flights luggage in the wrong baggage claim areas, so collecting our bags was a nightmare. The worst part was after I saw how much they charged me for a checked bag and a carry on, it came out to be as much as the American Airline flight that I hadn't booked in order to save money."

Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "This was by far the worst flight I have ever had. The flight crew was the rudest group of women I have seen on a plane. They over served the three people who were drinking straight vodka. The entries row was yelling, swearing, dropping the F word and singing country songs louding together and never addressed by the staff. They were out of red and white wine. Over all disappointed"
Pros: "Love the airline staff. Always looking out for your comfort."
Cons: "Seats a bit cramped."
Pros: "The flights were cheap and arrival was seamless. The crew is always friendly and lovely, as are the captains. The seats are super small, but it is an economy airline, so it makes sense. They are adequate for comfort, but I would not suggest long flights on them since they are not super soft or spacious."
Cons: "Frontier does a number with charging you extra fees for everything after you purchase your cheap ticket. For example, if you have a cary on item, that is an extra $40 (and typical standardized carryon luggage is too big to fit) or you can check in your bag on-line for $35. Then they ask if you would like to sit next to your party, charging you an extra $27 per seat. If you check in early enough, you are more likely to actually sit with the persons you are traveling with, so don't pay for that. You also are charged for drinks, and snacks on the flight (no biggie, but you should know). On the flight back to my state of origin, there was a flight delay of 2+ hours (for a valid reason of de-icing, but that was not communicated to us, we found out from the flight crew.). The Frontier app did not refresh to tell me the change, the website did not reflect the correct delay-of-flight change, and I got an e-mail telling me my flight was delayed about an hour after the initial delay. We called to confirm when our new boarding time was and could not get through the prompts. Google told me my flight was delayed and had more accurate information than the actual airline. Buying from this airline is very misleading- if you need budget, this is convenient, if you want a bit less stress, pay a bit more and go elsewhere."
Pros: "After an hour delay the flight was cancelled. Frontier KNEW they had staff striking but didn't tell the public for days. It was horrible."
Cons: "After an hour delay the flight was cancelled. Frontier KNEW they had staff striking but didn't tell the public for days. It was horrible."
Cons: "Every time I fly one of these budget airlines I remember how horrendous it is. You have to pay for every single little thing including a seat assignment, which just feels like extortion, and the bag prices are ridiculous. The seats are plastic chairs and they don't even recline. On an overnight flight that's just ridiculous. Next time I'll remember its not worth the $50 I'd save on the ticket."
Pros: "Spacious seating"
Cons: "Overcharged for checking bags, seats didn't recline, no tray table, no entertainment, charged for drinks, didn't send me a confirmation email. I will not recommend this airline to anyone."
Pros: "Great crew. Very friendly. -- Ontime boarding and good flight. - The flight back left and arrived earlier than scheduled. Exceptional treatment by the crew on the way back. They asked if I minded moving up front to an extended seat to allow to people to sit together. -- I got a more comfortable seat up front and the flight attendant kept thanking me for me flexible. -- Very appreciated to them"
Cons: "More up front knowledge about the true cost of the flight. -- Seat selection and carry on costs let to an an additional $82. -- $6 each way for selecting a preferred seat I can stomach, but not $35 for a carry on. -- Very disappointed in that"
Pros: "Efficient boarding on and off the plane."
Cons: "The $75 fee for overweight bags is unreasonable. It should be more like $10 for only a few pounds over 50."
Cons: "Earlier flight from same gate was extremely delayed and no one at Frontier seemed aware that they needed to reassign our departure gate. Finally announced the new gate at the time of our scheduled departure - didn't start boarding for some time even then. Departed an hour late (but arrived only 30 minutes late)"
Pros: "The flight was over a half hour late, the baggage claim was late, the seats were uncomfortable. I also did not like that you get a surprise bill to pay for your seats and check in bags (which are normally free) 24 hours before the flight. No point in having lower prices tickets if I have to pay an additional $80 before I can board. Very disappointing I do not want to fly Frontier anymore."
Pros: "They delayed the flight thrice and closed the gate 20 minutes before the boarding time."
Pros: "I appreciated that after you were charged for a carry-on bag you were actually put into the first boarding group. This allowed those of us with carry-on bags the opportunity to stow them."
Cons: "I didn't like all of the additional charges to get a seat assignment, to carry-on a bag, and sodas on the flight. The flight was delayed for over an hour. The group of passengers joked that it is typical to have a one hour delay on all Frontier flights. I wish I had know that going into it."
Pros: "The plane was clean. The pilots did a nice job."
Cons: "I've never flown Frontier before, but was truly surprised that you charge for carry-on luggage. It's definitely a deterrent. The plane was 3 hours late. As for comfort, my seat didn't recline. Ugh."
Cons: "No one explained to us why our 915 flight was delayed until 2 in the morning. And I'm sure the crew was just as exhausted as we were, which is completely understandable. However, aside from one stewardess, they showed how miserable they all were which in turn made the passengers more irritable. The flight home was much more tolerable."
Pros: "The flight was very good. On time going and coming back. Staff very nice. Boarded early and flights coming and returning were on time. No problem with picking up bags checked in at either airport."
Cons: "The seats are not comfortable when on a flight longer than an hour. To get a seat that reclines you have to pay an additional $16. I also didn't like the fact that if you have a bag to check that has to be done at least 18 hours before your check in. I had a 7 am flight and was charged an additional $5 because I checked my bag in at 11 pm the night before when I was checking in for my flight. Made sure I checked my bag a day ahead on my return flight to receive the discount"
Cons: "There is no warning from Frontier that customers will be charged for both checked and carry-on bags. Along with being charged extra depending on what seat the customer chooses (up to $30 additional charge). It's a good thing I went online 24 hours before my flight or I would have been very upset to get to the gate and have had to pay $60 for my bag. There seems to be an up charge for everything after the ticket is paid for, including food and drink. The seats in the airplane felt like glorified plastic lawn chairs."
Pros: "on time no frills. Point A to point B A+"
Cons: "no free beverage is lame."
Cons: "The woman at the check in counter was rude, and by the end she had me in tears my bag was fine on the fight in but she insisted on charging me 60 dollars on the way home I had no money or credit cards on me so I had to beg a stranger for money, and when I gave her the 60 dollars she said with a grin on her face we don't accept cash at that point I broke down not knowing what to do she announced one minute to board and finally they let me on I was a mess by then! Never again will I fly Frontier!!!!!!!!!!! Robin M. Cahill 215-669-1108"
Pros: "Price of ticket"
Cons: "Had to pay for carrying on luggage had to pay for seat and no TSA"
Cons: "Extra costs for picking a seat once I checked in online was not something I felt should happen."
Pros: "The seats were pretty comfortable and the flight attendants were excellent."
Cons: "Having to pay $2 for a non-alcoholic drink is just silly. I had to pay for my party to sit together but other people that I know were on the same flight and did not have to pay extra to sit together. Our flight out of Philly was three hours late departing and we were told a "reason" only an hour before we left. Not in any rush to fly Frontier again."
Cons: "Despite that the plane had clearly not arrived, the desk people indicated we would still be on time, and we were told that we would make up the time in the air. After waiting for 1.5 hours on the tarmac, we were 1.5 hours late to our destination. The seat were very small and not very comfortable and did not recline. We were told when checking-in online that we would have to pay $16 - $50 to guarantee that we would sit next to each other (only 2 people). Also there was a steep charge for checking and even carry-on luggage! The airline also lost one of our bags on the return trip. Pretty terrible experience overall."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed fromv9:40 to finally taking off at 12:50 no reason given. A voucher was promised but never received!"
Pros: "I felt deceived by Frontier. I knew paying the low fair I was going to get a bare bones trip. I was fine with paying for my own drink. I cannot believe that the airline is charging $40 bags for a carry on!!!!!! Also I had to pay an additional $27 each so my husband and I could sit together. Shame on you frontier. Of given the choice I will NEVER fly with this airline again. Everyone I tell about my experience has their own negative story to tell about Frontier. I suggest you change your practice before you go out of business. My final cost was double the original price of my original ticket. Just price the ticket as it should be."
Pros: "They were smaller so they gave more room between sections"
Cons: "They did not have a table- which made it hard to hold the computer. That was a disappointing problem."
Cons: "My flight was delayed by more than 3 hours. The representative at check-in told me that the flight was coming from LaGuardia airport and was delayed due to bad weather (which I can still believe to be true despite any evidence of severe weather when I checked online). No one (from the check-in desk to the boarding gate) had any information about the delay and we were sitting clueless at the gate as the departure time kept changing frequently. No frontier crew was present at the gate to answer our queries or to provide reasonable respite in terms of water or meal vouchers at a very cold airport (heating wasnt working for some reason). This was aggravated by the fact that there are no complimentary drinks/meals on the flight. I would also like to point out a cheap trick that the airline tries to fool passengers with. They try to charge you for your seat when you check-in online. You have to skip seat selection to avail a seat at no extra cost. This on top of carry on baggage fees. It doesnt sound like a budget airline to me. A cheap one, for sure."
Pros: "Crew was very professional, plane was clean. Ride was smooth."
Cons: "I had overweight passenger next to me who tried his very best to keep his left arm away from me, but when he fell asleep I was squeezed. No fault of Spirit. It was too tight of a seat arraignment. When I went to get my seat from customer service there was a man with luggage that will fit the template for carry on, but the wheels did not allow his suitcase to fit the length. He had to pay for his luggage, I thought the representative should have not charge him. I bought my ticket last minute as it was business trip decided 2 days prior. I chose Spirit for the convenient schedule, never used them before. For the same amount of money a coworker of mine got very convenient flight with no charge for carry on with assigned seats with American. I thinkg the price was not competitive."
Pros: "Flight took off and arrived on time."
Cons: "Navigating the Spirit Airlines web site is like dealing with a used car salesman; you have to watch every single step of the way, because they will add unnecessary, unwanted charges if you are not careful. After this trip, I will never fly Spirit Airlines again. I wish I had booked a 1-way flight, rather than round trip, so that I could return on a decent airline. There is a reason that Spirit gets a 1-star rating on www.consumeraffairs.com/ If I have to fly to Atlanta to Philadelphia again, I will take either United or Delta."
Pros: "On the plane, the seats were extremely comfortable, with a lot of leg room, even on the standard seats. Much more than on any flight I had flown with Southwest domestic. The staff was also a lot friendlier and generous. And there was plenty of room on the flight which made comfort affordable."
Cons: "They announced that the flight was departing from a different gate, but it wasn't listed on their website and there was no way to verify it on any screens. The gate that they said the flight would be departing out of instead still had the destination on it for the previous flight. Then, after that flight departed, it showed the destination for the next flight scheduled to leave out of that gate, not the one I was on. So frankly, a lot of people were very confused on where they were supposed to be waiting. Especially since, there was boarding for a different flight at the first gate, and no screen showing the flight that was being boarded there. So it caused a lot of nervousness for a lot of us, not being sure where we were supposed to be and afraid we would miss our boarding call."
Cons: "I've read bad reviews about Spirit airlines, but I was on a budget and decided to take my chances. It was a very small plane, which meant tight quarters during a 4.5 hour flight. I have a disability and deal with chronic pain and usually need to carefully plan out long flights so I arrive with minimal pain, but the seats were very small and moving about the back cabin was impossible. When I asked for a wheelchair I wasn't granted my request right away because I was told I didn't register online. I've always requested a wheelchair when I check in with major airlines when I arrive and have never been given a problem. Also, I didn't realize checking baggage would cost so much! No wifi available a very turbulent flight and they even charge for water. It wasn't the most horrible experience, but if we pay for a cheap ticket, expect substandard service. This will definitely will be my last time with Spirit Airlines."
Cons: "I had 3 bags which could easily fit into the cabin space. One of the bags I had carried was the same bag which I had while boarding the flight from Boston to Chicago on 8th Jun 17. While in that trip I was not charged for the bag as the size & weight fitted into your norms. But I had to pay $195 for 3 bags, including the bag which I had while leaving Boston. The behavior of the staff manning the boarding gate was nasty. As I was not having a credit card with me, I chose to pay cash. But they refused to accept cash & told me that my flight will be cancelled and I won't be allowed to board the aircraft. I panicked & requested the passengers to take money from me and swipe their card. With great difficulty I found a passenger who obliged me. A fresh boarding pass was issued to all 4 of us. The bag which I had while taking the flight to Chicago on 8/6/17 fitted on the equipment which measures the sizes, but I was made to pay for it. Very horrible experience of flying a so called low fare airline."
Cons: "CANCELLED. NO Assistance with rebook. Refund and you are on your own. Found out later they were have a pilot strike. They didn't disclose that and should have, in my opinion. I had the same exact thing happen on my return flight. Cancelled. No assistance with rebook. Had they been honest and straight forward I could have made proper accomdations for my return flight home. Instead a got the screw job TWICE. I understand that it is not in their control of the pilot strike. But good service would disclose that information as to not cause additional problems. Spirit sucks. Everyone knows that. But they don't have to screw people over and more then already do"
Pros: "Comfort, clean seats"
Cons: "Fare cheap but all the 'musts'made it more than any other airline: $9 Online fee; $25 kiosk fee (which didn't work and had to pay $50 fee to check in with clerk; had to check bag approved for under seat/carry on (12"c12") and since kiosk didn't work, charged $60 for 1st bag, even though I paid $60 for a 'first checked bag' and 2nd bag should hAve been cheaper. It was TSA agent who told me I would be required to check the bag by Spirit as it didn't meet carry on criteria and if I didn't check now, would be $100 at gate. I told her that I was traveling back with same TSA approved (and Spirit online rules) and she became rude and rejected my bag (and did a complete body search) so, I was forced to check the bag or miss my flight. I asked her and the Spirit clerk (3) if this was a TSA/ Spirit racket with kickbacks for TSA and/or Spirit and NOT on of them laughed, smiled, or denied this question. Mever again will I fly Spirit airlines or recommend to anyone!"
Pros: "Used Kayak to find cheap flights that fit our time frame. Spirit airlines proved to be a quick and reliable airline getting us to Chicago 15 mins early. When departing Chicago email notifications kept us up to date on possible delays of flight caused by weather conditions. I called Spirit customer service representative and changed my flight to avoid the worst of the weather. They were able to make the changes and honor the seating arrangements I had made for my family of five. Great experience!!"
Pros: "After getting through the gate, the boarding was simple."
Cons: "No mobile ticketing at O'hare. Security noted that Spirit requires you go through their ticket kiosks/desk, despite sending a mobile QR code to go through it when going through mobile check-in (itself a serious pain due to a terrible website). Further, they don't advertise that the cost of the seat and carry-on negates any savings on the ticket price itself. I couldn't even get a simple cup of water from flight attendants ("bottled water only, $3 per"). I will never willingly purchase a flight from Spirit again."
Pros: "Nothing--there is literally nothing to like about this airline. They display a cheaper fare than other airlines and call it their "Bare Fare" but you better not pack more than a small backpack otherwise you end up paying double the ticket price in services charges and baggage fees!"
Cons: "Spirit's endless amounts of extra hidden costs and ridiculous baggage fees meant that I ended up paying just as much for my airfare as I did to 1) check my bags, 2) print my boarding pass and 3) pay for the hidden services charges to do all of the above at the gate (instead of predicting exactly how many luggage/carry-on items and their exact weight over five months in advance of my trip, when I initially purchased my ticket online). You'll have to purchase water on the plane if you get thirsty. I would not be the least bit surprised if Spirit started charging a fee to use the bathroom on the plane! AVOID THIS AIRLINE if you need to check a bag, or if your carry-on is larger than a small backpack and/or purse! Plus, the interior of their new fleet has decreased space between rows so you have less legroom than ever (I'm 5'5" and 125 lbs--I had no room to move). And the final straw for me: I paid a premium price for a flight that left AFTER 9:00 AM. Less than 48 hours before departure, Spirit changed our flight to 6:05 AM; a time I had specifically filtered out of my options when searching for a flight! And no, there was absolutely no refund or apologies for the inconvenience."
Cons: "The flight is advertised as low priced, but at the cost of checking a small carry on for $50 each way. For $100 more for ticket we could've flown JetBlue with amenities like water and coffee and attentive professional flight attendants. The plane was extremely loud, and sounded as if the panels could be ripped right off during landing and takeoff. We shouldve just packed a backpack. I don't think I would ever fly this airline again because the overall feeling was that the equipment was rickety and unsafe. I guess Ive just become accustomed to professionalism and service on other airlines."
Pros: "There wasn't anything I really liked about my trip on Spirit."
Cons: "From the curbside to the gate you are on your own. No skycaps to take your bags at the curb even though you've already paid for bags. And even though you've already paid for bags you still have to stand in a long line at the counter to check in. This is my 3rd time flying with Spirit since 2011. I thought the first 2 trips having issues was a fluke but no, it seems fairly consistent that you will not leave on time, the staff will not be friendly and nothing is complimentary...even water! The seats are extremely small and there is no way to recline them. Some of their planes have advertisement pasted through the entire length of the cabin, the crew really pushed applying for their credit card, all snacks must be paid for I mean, the message is clear, profits first, customers are to be used to meet their goals. At the end of the day, customers are lured in by seemingly lower prices but it's all smoke and mirrors. When you're done with all of the a la cart items, the price is the same as all of the other airlines, with inferior service, in my opinion. I will not be flying with Spirit Airlines again. I will spend my money with airlines that value me as a customer first."
Pros: "Overall this was a bad experience. Spirit forces you to pay $55 for a carry-on bag. I suppose I should have known this already, and I'm sure it was in the fine print of my ticket. So partly my own fault. But when you add in all the fees Spirit nickel and dimes you for, you could have purchased a ticket with a better airline for same price. In addition, the boarding process was slow and the staff was unprofessional. The flight attendants were rude, the seats do not recline at all, and I could feel a hard metal piece inside my headrest. I asked for a pillow but the flight attendant said none were available. I will not be flying Spirit again unless there are absolutely no other options."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "I arrived at O'Hare and my flight was cancelled. I had to book another flight for the next day ($480+) and a hotel room for the night ($200+) ALL AT MY EXPENSE. The Spirit representatives said that someone from Spirit would contact me in a few days to reimburse me for the flight from O'Hare to NYC, but as of a week, no one has. I have very little faith that anyone ever will or that I will be reimbursed for the flight that was cancelled. I intend to report Spirit to the NYS Attorney General's Office. Everything was bad, since I had to spend close to $700 of my own money to get back home. VERY VERY BAD."
Pros: "Spirit is known as an ultra low cost carrier. I did not know this when I purchased the tickets, so the fares we paid were a little less than that of competitors. The pros end there."
Cons: "For the amount of harassment one goes through to fly with Spirit, the slightly lower fares are not worth it. Frankly, it seems like a ploy to hook people and subsequently squeeze three nickels out of every dime for anything else on the flight. The boarding process was delayed by over an hour. The attendant speaking from the gate was rude, hostile, and obnoxious. Those boarding were practically interrogated to make sure the water bottle they were holding might not be an extra personal item. (You have to pay $55 for a carry-on but are allowed one personal item on Spirit. If you are caught carrying extra onto the plane without paying, it's a $100 fine. One which they are on the prowl for!) Once on the flight, there is no entertainment. There is no complimentary anything. You can buy food or drink with credit cards only. The seats do not even have a tilt function to them, so you can only sit upright. My personal favorite part of the flight was watching the fight that ensued between female passengers deboarding and the attendants that did nothing about it. Something about the ultra low cost carrier makes people crazed to get off the plane. At the end of a flight, everyone wants off a plane, but I have never seen such disorganized chaos and blatantly rude disregard for the deboarding process as on this flight. Next time I travel, I'll spend the extra $100 to fly with another airline. Lesson learned."
Pros: "In flight experience was good."
Cons: "Didn't like that I have to print my boarding pass and that an eboarding pass doesnt work on the scanners. That was not communicated well to me. The gate changed 30 mins prior to the take off time of my flight and not a single passenger was informed of this. There were no announcements made. They did not even care to change the flight information display at the gate behind the counter. While passengers were waiting to board, a jet blue crew member starts to announce boarding for their flight to JFK while its displaying spirit airlines flight to dallas. The jet blue crew has no information to provide to us. A spirit airline crew memeber SHOULDVE MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT reg the gate change at the original gate or they should remove the spirit airline flight display from the screen. And all this 20 mins prior to take off. And I was told to stand in line that was a mile long to have this simple question answered 'whats the current gate'. The crew could've been a bit more informative, less rude and more approachable."
Pros: "Your flight staff (flight attendants) are always great."
Cons: "I attempted to purchase luggage before each of my flights (departure and return) and the website would not allow it. I called the customer service number multiple times and it said they were experiencing technical difficulties. I was forced to purchase luggage allowance at the airport on both flights and was forced to pay a much larger amount that what I normally would have had to pay if the website was working. This excessive fee really makes the option of flying spirit less economical, frustrating, and really obliterates any reason to fly with your airline. Additionally, I was able to purchase seating before my flight- but on my return flight they put me in a seat that I did not pay for. The flight attendant did make a correction. Your staff at the main terminals is consistently extremely slow, unfortunately. I really like the flight attendants, they are always great. However, due to the above mentioned issues I have had recurrently, I will certainly be reluctant to purchase Spirit flights in the future"
Cons: "Poor flight connection time- we waited 6 hours for our connecting flight at Chicago. Poor gate change arrangement- changing gate without changing the boarding on the arriving/departure board. My daughter and I sat outside of the boarding gate for 2 and a half hours and were informed the boarding gate had changed. When we realized the gate changed, we rushed to the gate, the gate closed. We ran to the customer service. The staff there wasn't sympathetic and showed no interest of helping us to get on another flight to Portland asap. Instead of connecting us to the flight that we could arrive at Portland on the same day, he told us two choices of flight: same flight at the same time on the next day; fly to Dallas next morning and then fly to Portland arriving Portland at early evening. It was already 8:45 pm at the time. I asked was there any earlier flight we could take as my daughter has to be at a camp orientation the next day. He was rude and refused to offer any further help. As we walked away , my daughter saw a nearby boarding gate showed a flight to Dallas in 20 minutes. We rushed back to the Spirit staff and asked him to put us on that flight. He said it's already too late. If he would had tried at the beginning, we would have a chance to be on that flight, and be back to Portland next day. We ended up buying tickets from another airline to fly home that night. In summary- Spirit Airline: expensive after added all other fees, ending up paying more with very poor service, lack of convenience of larger companies that have more flights , small seat space; you will be treated as a bargain seeker and deserved no respect or service."
Pros: "It got me from the point A to the point B safely. Shouldn't/wouldn't take that for granted."
Cons: "1. Technical difficulties: We attempted to check in the night before, in order to "save" on what's already a ridiculous fee for checked baggage. However, after inputting our credit card number, the system stated that it was experiencing malfunction. Therefore, we had to check in again at the airport, and although we informed them that we attempted to check in ahead of time, they were not concerned and charged us $52 each per bag. At this point, any savings we had by booking a "no frill, economic" airline, were negated. 2. Ridiculous Fees, cont: My husband and I were traveling together, and booked the flight at the same time, on the same credit card. Yet, the only way we were guaranteed seats together, was if we purchased seat assignments. 3. Delays: Our flight was initially delayed 3 hours. We were not given any explanation or apologies. Then, as our new boarding time was approaching, they informed us that further delay will ensue due to a flight attendant running late. They could not give us a time frame in which we would actually board, nor did they seem particularly concerned or apologetic. 4. (Dis)Comfort: We finally boarded. Seats do not recline, nor are they comfortable. Of course, even water carried a charge. 5. More delays, poor Customer Service: After we landed, we proceeded to wait another half an hour or so, because the plane for some reason had no access to the gate. People were restless and needed to use restrooms. But they were sharply redirected and ordered to stay seated and buckled, without much regard for the inconvenience and discomfort. Overall, a poor experience. There are so many airlines out there whose costs are comparable (or even cheaper after you factor in all of the additional, ridiculous fees) and who have a better record in being on time, great customer service, and no extra fees. I would suggest going with them."
Cons: "The flight attendant "joked" with us that we were heading to New York instead of LA... Supposed to be funny but seriously rude and frightening; I almost had a panic attack. I am also severely disgusted by the airlines that include a dozen hidden fees but don't inform you of them when you are booking your ticket. It was due to a fluke that I discovered carry ons were not free, which led me to search further and find that printing boarding passes is not free, nor are beverages, nor.. anything else. While I understand Spirit's desire to make flights cheaper, you should just TELL PEOPLE THAT when they buy the ticket, I shouldn't have to discover it after the fact. I probably still would have bought your ticket and been much happier about it."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Since I ordered through kayak I wasn't allowed to add additional bags. This cost me quite a bit more money. Then I called prior to online booking and the customer service agent was horrible. Deceived me into to pay more money for bags. She was also very rude and not helpful at all. This was a horrible experience. I am not even going into the flight. I was seated next to someone that was probably close to 400 pounds. He spent most of the time in my seat. Now I am sympathetic to obese people but Spirit should have placed him in one of the two seater rows or something like that. It was an absolute miserable experience."
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "I got into he line 70 minutes before my flight, which was considered a "late check in" and the line was so long I missed my flight! The next flight to my destination was 12 hours later, so I said I would have to purchase another ticket with a different carrier. The cashier informed me I would get refunded for the missed flight. Flash forward to my return flight, they canceled it! The cashier never noted that we even spoke, and it is procedure to cancel the rest of the booking if a customer doesn't get onto a flight. It was a complete nightmare. I had to purchase another ticket home and the kicker: no refund for either flight that I didnt even go on. You get what you pay for. Spend more and go with a larger carrier. I've always had good experiences with Southwest."
Cons: "My flight to LA was delayed by a systems crash, we spent 2-1/2 hours at the gate before departing. My return flight wagon time and I was looking forward to a relatively comfortable flight home, as i'd paid extra for an exit row seat on the aisle. instead, the person who sat next to me man-spreaded into my personal/seat space, shoving his shoulders into my ribs and making the 7 hour cross-country flight, exceedingly uncomfortable. When i voiced my complaints to him, he replied in an entitled and indignant fashion and redoubled his effort to invade my personal space. What's worse, is that this man was wearing a Spirit Airlines uniform and presumably, did not pay for his seat. I will never fly Spirit again."
Pros: "The crew was very nice. The flight was on-time"
Cons: "Arrived at airport over 2 hours early. Did pre-check in for flight and luggage. Had to wait in line almost an hour to tag luggage. (Many people were frantic in line re: not getting to flight on time) TSA line was all the way down airport. Knew I would not make flight. NO agent to help me while I waited. Tried calling Spirit no-one could help. Got to counter with less than 15 minutes to boarding time. Supervisor was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do re: TSA line. Said that if I didn't make flight I could get a later flight or pay extra for something different. Went to TSA line and no-one could help. Saw another Spirit rep, while in TSA line. she rudely said "no-way!" and walked away.. Finally, I "seriously" begged and cut in TSA line. Ran. Made it to gate for final boarding call!!!"
Cons: "I asked for a flight to Minneapolis from Chicago I booked the flight and found out that the flight was from Minneapolis to Chicago. I tried to cancel it and get a refund. That's where my nightmare began. I ended up with 2 flights and then cancelling because it just wasn't worth. I wanted to go visit my son who is incarcerated and wanted to go for a 1 day visit.(ON HIS BIRTHDAY) APRIL 3. If I would have gone I would have only been able to see him for 2 hours. Instead I got screwed out of $120.00. NO flight and NO visitation because you kept my money."
Pros: "Longer leg room"
Cons: "Boarding was not clear . I received a notice on gate 9 but the airport shows 7. Later after staying at gate 7 for 30min at least, we were told to move to 9. Confusing to us."
Pros: "Flight to Chicago was great- early- arrived early- good service- no issues- I was impressed- but the way back was less than enjoyable"
Cons: "the plane was delayed to the point that when we arrived, there were no spirit staff at baggage claim, and when some luggage got stuck on the conveyor, there was no one to get us our luggage- it took an hour (at 2AM) for us to find someone to come and get our stuff for us. The man who did, did so, even though it wasn't his job- and he was very helpful- but the lack of staff and assistance left a very bad taste in our mouth toward Spirit."
Pros: "I LOVED the price and the insintives of free miles but not even complimentary coffee or soda cans! I mean THREE DOLLARS FOR A CAN OF SODA!!!"
Cons: "No free soda cans, no coffee!? What's even worse, no free water!!!??? I had to eat ice!!! I mean come on!? Cheap is great but to pay for water!? A basic human necessity!?"
Cons: "The airline did not accommodate an accident on a freeway. United, American and Delta all did."
Pros: "The price..."
Cons: "Check in and boarding...the staff looked completely miserable. Of course, the time could have been a factor. Other issues with the flight were beyond Spirit Airline's control."
Pros: "The airplane and the pilot."
Cons: "I never got to PHL via Spirit !!! I had to come up with the idea that even though the flight to ORD was so late, since the plane was continuing on to Baltimore that it would get out of ORD. I had to request to be booked on the flight to Baltimore and I had to rent a car (at quite an expense) in order to drive and complete my trip."
Pros: "I liked that the price of the flight was inexpensive."
Cons: "The crew on the flight was extremely unprofessional, suggesting that we don't "hurt one another" when we are free to take other open seats. Also, the seriousness of the crew and the responsible feeling that I normally get from a flight crew was not there. The pilot was good. But the attendants were telling " jokes". An airplane is not a comedy club. I like to feel safe, and that the staff is capable in the event of an emergency. Also, the plane seemed dirty with advertisements inside the cabin for a specific hotel in Vegas. This gave the plane a very ghetto feeling."
Pros: "Nothing. Absolutely nothing."
Cons: "Delayed flight in hour-long intervals over four hours, only to finally cancel at 1 am with no explanation. Weather was fine, no mechanical complications. We were left stranded at O'Hare at 2 am...next flight wasn't until 9 pm the NEXT night. Terribly rude attendants. Awful, pitiful excuse for an airline. This happened once before (only other time we tried to fly with Spirit, except the next flight was ONE WEEK later). Just awful. No other words for this terrible airline and laughable service."
Pros: "Everyone had a good attitude."
Cons: "They didn't let a guy move to a different seat even though the plane was less than 1/2 full."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "I found out my flight was delayed two hours but decided to go to the airport at the appropriate time anyway. It was just a girls weekend so I wasn't in any major rush to get there. As my shuttle is taking me to the airport, I look again to find that my flight has officially went from taking off at 9:14pm to taking off at 12:12pm. When I got to the airport, it was 7pm so I would have to wait for 5 hours. I went to the Spirit counter and asked what time my flight was leaving. The man at the counter says "9:15" so I responded with "okay great so there's no delay then??" He said "yeah there's just a short delay you won't even know" I showed him my phone and asked is 12:12am the time were supposed to leave? And he said "yes". Well, then I was fuming because this customer "support" person completely lied to me. Another quite rude lady said there was absolutely nothing they could do for me and shooed me away. I was also told it was because their technology wasn't reaching flight control. I went to my gate anyway and noticed that the spirit section was completely packed-I'm assuming this issue backed up many flights. After an hour of waiting, they announced that the delay may be even longer. I immediately left because at that point I wouldn't get into my destination until 4am which wasn't worth my short visit to where I was going. Later on in the night, I looked at my phone to see what happened-it ended up being cancelled!!!! What a joke! Bad customer service, bad fees, bad way of handling their flight situations!!! Never again."
Pros: "The cheap cost of the flight"
Cons: "I think Kayak should do a better job of providing information about the airlines they represent. While my flight was only 80 dollars, I ended up spending 100+ dollars extra to carry on my suit. This was my first time flying with Spirit, and if I knew that these extra charges would apply, I would have packed differently. As a student, I do not have any disposable income; I found it very misleading that the price to "fly" and the price to buy a ticket were very different. 80 dollar flight vs. additional 110 dollars to get from point A to point B."
Pros: "The Agent was very accommodating and pleasant. Thumbs up!!"
Cons: "The fees for luggage, toooooooo costly. The carryone should be free and pay for the check in bags. I was not a happy camper."
Pros: "paid to sit in exit row - reasonable upgrade price Empty seat next to me because people don't want to pay"
Cons: "Carry on restriction is ridiculous EXPENSIVE - more than American flight once pay for carry on luggage No TSA pre. Security line was long - took about 40 minutes to get through and not really that many people No leg room in regular seats so can hardly make it to bathroom as people are spilling int isle Extra stress - boarding pass made big deal of getting to gate at least 45 minutes befor flight leaves with threat of not getting your seat (which paid for), but stood around for half an hour waiting for them to start boarding."
Cons: "The gate agents in Chicagp were rude and gave us incorrect information. They were chatting with their friends instead of answering our question. Then she told us we could use a different security line. When we went over there, we were told if we were flying spirit we had to use the long one on the other side of the airport! Our flight was then delayed twice, when we asked for an update, the gate agent was again rude, though she did eventually tell there was something wrong with the floor of the plane. Once we were on the plane, we were stuck on it for another 45 minutes before we took off. Baggage claim in Chicago was also a mess. There was only one carasaul and it took about an hour to get our bags. Our ride had to circle for an hour. We will not be flying spirit again."
Pros: "Cheap price"
Cons: "Extremely small seat space"
Cons: "Horrible. You will get charged even if you blink. Seats doesn't recline. Want some water? Pay for it. While other flights allow 50lbs in your checked bag, they only give you 50lb. You pay if you check in at the airport. WHAT? You pay for a CARRY ON."
Pros: "They sould not charge for personal bag which is one bigger than their size, beside no leg room neither seat do not recalain seem got punishment for entire flight"
Pros: "From the moment I bought my ticket, I was thrilled by the low fare. The day before, I checked in online and discovered the baggage price was ridiculous and then I had to pay to choose my seat!! I knew nothing about the seats that do not tilt back. After we boarded, and wee waiting on the ground , I asked a flight attendant, if I could please have a glass of water, she looked at me with a straight face and said that they could not sell water while the plane was on the ground? Say what? I later paid $3 just to have a cup of water. Flight attendent handed me my drink and then a cup with ice. I asked her "how much" for the cup and ice and she said it was free. Later, I went to use the lav, but remembered my purse and lo and behold I didn't need to drop a coin in to enter and the water in the sink and the soap and towels were free. My while body aches from 5 hours on a plane cramped in the smallest space I hope to inhabit before I die. By the time I added the various costs to my original airfare, I realized I could have booked a flight on another airline, paid a bit more and not be baited and switched."
Cons: "This may not be a totally accurate review for this specific flight, since it never happened because it was CANCELLED. Spirit Airlines in general is a horrible airline company to deal with. Constant delays, TERRIBLE customer service, absolutely NO refund policy, and ridiculous rebooking times. My flight was cancelled due to a huge winter storm, and Spirit said they couldn't book me til FOUR days after my original fly-out date. I have never had a good experience with Spirit - cramped seating and never have been on a Spirit flight that left on time. I will never be flying with this company again."
Pros: "-In general with Spirit you know what you're getting. A cheap flight with only the bare bone necessities to get you where you're going. Generally I'm okay with this approach to save a buck or two but this experience tipped me over the edge of never flying Spirit again."
Cons: "To paint a picture before I get into details, public transit broke down so there was a huge rush of passengers for this flight and others, all leaving around the same time of night as the last round of flights from the airport. -The man at the counter said he could not print our boarding passes because the flight was already boarding as it was 30 minutes before doors closed. -We used the terminal and got an error message saying to see someone at the counter, so we went back and talked to another lady at the Spirit counter. She printed our tickets and was even able to check in my last minute checked bag. -No one at Spirit would walk us through security, which I guess is understandable (though a common courtesy on other airlines) when the security line was so long. -By this time the security line was so long after we had fumbled around for 10 extra minutes with the first man at the Spirit counter that we decided to give up. We later found out that they held the doors for 15 minutes because of the long lines at security, information which no one at Spirit ever volunteered for us, which would've allowed us to get on the plane. -There were 3 or 4 other passengers very upset at the counter employees not willing to print their boarding passes for them who could have also made the plane. -We had to get a flight out the next morning to make our international flight from BWI, so we wanted to go get the checked bag back from Spirit. This was by far the best part of the trip, as the woman at baggage was able to confirm my bag had made it on the flight and would be landing in Philadelphia. -To confirm the bag landed and we would be able to pick it up at 9am when our flight landed the next morning, we called the Spirit office at the Philly airport. The woman said to call back at 12:30-12:45 and she would let us know if she had the bag. This was important for us, because if my bag wasn't there I could just pack another for our international trip and deal with finding the lost bag at a later time. -We called 8 times between 12:30 and 1:30 with no response. We also left several voicemails. -At 5am on our way back to O'Hare we were again unable to get ahold of anyone at Spirit in Philadelphia. While boarding our flight to Philly we finally got a hold of someone who said they would go check the office and let us know within 10 minutes. Obviously too late for me to pack another bag, but at least we could plan over the next several hours. Never got a call back, and only received voice mail after attempting contact again several times as our plane prepared for takeoff. -Landed in Philly and what do you know, the Spirit office is closed for most hours of the day, only operating around their scheduled flights. The info. employee at the airport wished us good luck in a hopeless tone. After 45 minutes of panic calling every Spirit phone number we could find, we finally got someone on the phone to come get my bag out of the locked office."
Pros: "Quick boarding. On time, even early. Plenty of room on flight."
Pros: "The low initial cost of the flight."
Cons: "The flight was announced cancelled after it was supposed to take off. Afterward the only Spirit employee just handed me a number to call. When I dialed it, it told me I should just use the online services, because the calling wait was incredibly long. When I tried to go online, it said I wasn't a member on the flight that my confirmation code was tied to. I finally waited on the phone, just to cancel my flight. Seems like they only fly a certain percentage of their flights in order to try and scam the rest of the customers into losing their money in cancelled flights..."
Cons: "E ticket didn't work after standing for 1 hour in security. This caused us to have to run around airport to our flight which was delayed 15 min after it was supposed to board. The plane was filthy. When I opened the tray table crushed chips that were in there spilled all over me. Regardless of the price I will never fly spirit airlines."
Pros: "Flight was on time for round trip big plane and I don't want more for the price and as its big plane more safer wonderful experience with spirit airline"
Cons: "I don't like that they allow people with carry-ons larger than the specified sizes. I was careful to follow the guidelines, which were hard to find anyway. I don't like the credit card sales pitch on each flight."
