Cons: "The front desk gate associates stated that it was a full flight and there would be ZERO spots left for carry on luggage for me in the overhead bins. Therefore, I was told I MUST check my luggage, but there were SEVERAL open spots in the overhead bins when I got there! I do NOT appreciate this!"

The ground staff gave confusing and ambiguous instructions that resulted in everyone forming a large, disorganized throng in front of the gate agent. It was as if they said "everyone get on the plane immediately, and we are only taking the first 30 people"."

Cons: "My flight from San Diego was at 10 am. At that point I had already had breakfast. A few hours later, 3 to be exact, when I asked the attendant for a meal they said they only serve them in the beginning of the flight. Which if it was even an hour later at 11am, it would be on the earlier side of lunch time. I was disappointed that on a 5 hour direct flight, I wasn't able to have a meal that I was going to gladly be paying for."

Cons: "The plane had to turn around halfway from Seattle to Vancouver due to a mechanical problem. We all later got an email saying we'd receive a discount on future travel because the airline deemed the delay "preventable." We got a second plane quickly, on the second boarding process the gate agent failed to do preboarding. I'm on crutches at the moment, so this meant more time on my feet manoeuvring around "elite status members" than I would have liked."

Cons: "Charging customers for meals on a transatlantic flight is a terrible way to nickel and dime your customers for the most basic provisions. Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

And what a relief, since we took WestJet for our in August flight to and from Europe. Simply no comparison in all the various aspects of a flying experience."

Cons: "Checking in was horrible. I stood in line while many of the agents kept chatting with each other. Then when they finally noticed that I was still standing there 2 of them waved at me. The agent who checked me in acted like I was inconveniencing her, she had a really bad attitude."

Pros: "Thankfully our flight wasn't 100% full. Our baby got a seat to herself, which allowed her to sleep the whole trip, ans my legs didn't fall asleep from her weight. Blessing! The staff were very accomodating and friendly for parents travelling with young children."

So they say will wait for us as flight not full. Nope, flight leaves without 7 of us. Got the " don't know what happened" look. So they give us a $60 dollar food voucher, and take us to hotel because now must wait 12 hours for next flight. Tell us to be in lobby at a certain time to catch shuttle back to airport. Time comes, sorry no room, and buggers off. They call taxis, when drivers find drive for vouchers, tell us to load own baggage! Not likely to fly West Jet again."

Cons: "on our westjet to Puerto Vallarta the air conditioning vent above my brother's seat dripped all over him. on the trip back the screen on the back of the seat in front of my other brother didn't work so we had to share. not terrible, but a little annoying considering the amount we pay for tickets."

Cons: "I'm a bit disappointed by the services provided by Westjet: 1) I never received the confirmation of my fight/booking from Westjet; 2) I was not aware that the connecting from LA to SJ and SJ to LA were operated by different companies therefore I was not able to check in or even to check the gate information at the airport. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA in the early morning 3) at the SJ airport, I was not aware that the flight from SJ to LA was operated by Delta not American airline. However, the Westjet customer services 1-888 number listed in your Kayak confirmation was not a correct number. I even tried to look up another customer services number of Westjet by searching the Westjet website, the number I found was not in service neither. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA 4) At the LA airport I was told that I was not able to board the flight because I did not have the Canadian ETA. they said they would pull my checked luggages and flight them with my re-scheduled flight and will be shipped to the final destination Vancouver, Canada. when I arrived Vancouver, both suitcases were not arrived with my flight. One arrived with my original flight and the second were missing. The agent could not even tell me where the suitcase was. Moreover, the second did not arrive the time I was told it should arrive. My second suitcase was not allocated even before I left Vancouver to Europe one day after my travel. 5) No one responded to the luggage services number provided in the document. I could only successfully login to the link for the checking the status after I returned home in Brussels. 6) I was told that the second suitcase will be delivered to my home in Europe by another company. Currently I'm still waiting for my second suitcase."

I am just thankful my husband noticed the day before we got to the airport to come home as the flight was totally booked."

Pros: "I am Military so you will undert Atand when I say I travel a lot. Westjet offers free checked bags for Military. Everyone down the line acts like they are interested in you as the customer. Line they know you, the customer, is why thier business exists. The seats even had plugs to charge devices rather that screens and thier in-flight app had all the content you normally get from the screen. That is a simple and cost efficient way to solve in flight entertainment. Everyone is already carrying a good screen with them, or several. Why provide one?"

Cons: "our flight originated on Delta atKCI. WE reseved seats on West Jet, but they told us Delta would issue our boarfing passes. Delta issued those passes for the eats requested from West Jet. At the boarding gate West Jet indcated they needed a different form(cardboard) , but they split up our party of three into three different locations. Never will I fly West Jet again and will tell others thinnking of doing so what they did to us. The flight itself was O.K."

I thought this was isolated to this flight but have now encountered in 2 subsequent flights in AC premium economy."

I canceled my flight and am awaiting refund. I booked with another airline. I am severely disappointed with United's behavior. I've flown out of several countries from various airlines, and the US and US-based airlines are the only flight with consistent delays. It's honestly embarrassing. And I suppose, while I'm complaining, I'll add--as someone with a severe peanut allergy, it was important that this flight was with Air Canada, who actually cares about my safety. That I had to miss my flight and book with another, potentially dangerous airline, added to my dissatisfaction."

Cons: "From when I checked in, I had booked in premium economy and was looking forward to having a pair of seats for my family. However, my plane was changed, and we ended up from having a pair of premium economy seats, by a window, to being placed in the centre section at the back of the airplane. I would have liked an alert of some sort to my phone that would alert me of the change. Additionally, it would have been good to have some sort of acknowledgement/apology, because of the inconvenience - especially since we pre-booked these seats well in advance, versus doing the selection at check-in."

Cons: "Delay in SF departure attributed to "weather" resulted in missed connection and a 5 hour wait in Vancouver. Transfer from international flights to Canadian at YVR is quite cumbersome and involves much walking."

Cons: "The crew member promised my $60 in checked bags would still follow me, but when I arrived In Vancouver I was Informed they were still in Chicago. My seat did not recline and my reading lamp was broken after paying $80 for the upgraded seat. The flight attendant was a bit grouchy about it. The WiFi was very sporadic and didn’t work for the majority of the trip.. which I wasted 900 miles on. Not impressed this time around."

Pros: "The bar is pretty low with United. Even being a 1K member, I am usually just hoping the flight arrives on time. This time it didn't. The crew was polite, which isn't always the case."
Cons: "The flight was delayed. Not necessarily UA's fault but they don't make it easy on their customers. Their mileage program has so many elite members, especially in SF that even 1K doesn't give you a strong shot at getting upgraded."

Cons: "Customer service is very inneficient"

Pros: "This was the first United flight I've been on in 10 years that was not full."
Cons: "There is no way to turn off the screens on the seat backs, so they continue flashing the same thing over and over. I counted 690 times between Houston and Vancouver."

Pros: "It was a long day with the delays which ended in a missed flight to Vancouver. Great service in providing accommodations and food voucher. Much appreciated. Made getting home a day later as I have another 6 1/2 hour drive to get home. Overall a good trip."

Cons: "My suitcase's handle was damaged by the time it reached baggage claim. I will need to buy a new suitcase now."

Cons: "The boarding process is chaos. By the time my group is called, an announcement is made about running low on overhead space and some may need to check in their carry ones. Happens on every United flight? On the flight from Vancouver, the wifi wasn't even working."

Pros: "Other airlines that don't lie to you about which airline you're purchasing tickets with."
Cons: "When I buy an apple computer and pay apple prices, I don't expect to open up the box and find a PC in there. When I bought tickets with Air Canada, I expected to fly with Air Canada, not United. I don't know how it's even legal for you to sell me one thing, have me pay for it, and then give me another. My experiences with Air Canada have been fine. My experience with United was terrible. Their check in devices freeze and don't give proper instructions or feedback, and my tray table was taped shut because it was broken. The tape looked like it was a year old. It is not ok to fix an airplane with tape. This is terrible for both of us. Now you - Air Canada - are sharing in United's PR disaster because you've effectively said buying tickets from you might just be a bait-and-switch for buying tickets with them. Upon purchasing tickets "your" customers have no way of knowing what they're going to get. I'd much rather book with an airline that sells tickets for its own flights, or at least tells customers when they're buying something else instead of lying to them."

Cons: "Crew was unfriendly and seats were small and uncomfortable for a 4.5h flight."

Cons: "A waste of money for business class as it was no better than business class 30 years ago. Slightly wider seats with a little more room, but there was no entertainment and the food was awful"

Cons: "The flight was over 4 hours delayed, and the luggage took a long time to arrive, it was 4am, and then there was a taxi line and there were no taxis available and each one took time for each passenger."

Pros: "I traveled on a weekend during which I experienced numerous flight cancellations and was stuck for a couple of days on two separate nights. I flew United and American that weekend. United Airlines staff was the most empathic and apologetic to.me, even though they had no control over the weather. I didn't expect any accommodations for all of the changes...just a little understanding...and that's what they gave to me. I did let AA know how disappointed I was in them just for their lack of compassion. Thanks"

Cons: "The flight was cancelled 3 times before 9am..... me like me any passengers arrived really really early to FWA & they cancelled flight because of mechanical issues. Which is fine but the airline had no backup plan.... meanwhile planes just leaving out of FWA & all we kept getting was updates on a cancelled fligyt AGAIN.... now im in a cab traveling 2 1/2 hours to IND to hopefully get on a flight to EWR.... but honestly I am lacking confidence it will happen"

Cons: "We were trying to print our boarding passes and computer didn't recognize our bar code. United employees were trying to help us and they couldn't print it either until we approched counter. We didn't see that much of professionalism on United employees. At one point one of the employees told us to go back to Air Canada counter and I thought she was not trained properly."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 hours and 45 minutes because engine did not start. Had us deplane. Caused us to miss our connecting flight and we had to wait 6 hours for another one."

Cons: "In flight entertainment did not exist and a fee was charged to access content online. This does not meet industry standards. During boarding, airline agent told me my one allowable carry-on item had to be checked because of limited space in overhead bins. Upon boarding the plane, there was clearly room for more luggage to be stored overhead. One flight crew member served complimentary beverages by serving the entire can. The other served by pouring only some of the can into a cup. Again, this does not meet industry standards, from the perspective of a reasonably well-traveled flier."

Cons: "Seats need screens & outlet for charging."

Pros: "I gave it a four because the airline put safety first. Though we had to change plane due to some funny sound made by the engine, the wait was worth it. The crew were helpful and the actual flight was smooth."

Pros: "Nice new 737-800, friendly crew"
Cons: "I volunteered to be bumped to a later flight, which was handled well; however my checked bags did not get transferred. The baggage desk at YVR was very helpful, but the United lost bags office was unreachable by phone. They always had very long hold times."

Cons: "Planes have mechanical issues, but they could have done more things at the same time like reboard while the post repair system checks ran and sort out baggage weights so that there weren't delays on top of delays. That was after not noticing issues with the plane until after waiting for late passengers and taxiing out. We arrived 4hrs late for a 3hr flight. They also only had one agent to rebook flights and assign hotels at the end even though they had hours to know the connections would be missed."

Cons: "Don't fly United"

Pros: "Leg room seemed better. Flight was early arriving in Vancouver. Flight crew kept us informed about slight turbulence and arrival time, Pilot landed plane very smoothly."
Cons: "This is minor: the small package of complimtary food (a sweet wafer) was not good. Something more substantial would have been appreciated for the long flight."

Cons: "No leg room. A bare bones airline."

Pros: "Flight attendants are nice"
Cons: "The plane is very old"

Cons: "This flight was delayed an hour as United had maintenance issues with the plane. United sadly has a bad reputation for deferred maintenance on its planes in order to cut costs. They don't care about customer satisfaction, just the bottom line."

Cons: "The seats were extremely uncomfortably. We had a nearly 6 hour flight with no tvs which wasn't great either."
