Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "All of it"
Cons: "Nothing Best flight"
Pros: "Check in crew was courteous and professional"
Cons: "Boarding process Too many subclasses of boarding “priorities “ Too gimmicky"
Pros: "Good seats. Crew was not very hospitable. They went by with water and didn’t give us any. We upgraded for the complementary cocktails and my husband didn’t even get a chance to get one."
Cons: "More attention especially for the upgraded seats that offer complementary things. We got better service in our economy seats on the way to LA. I wouldn’t pay extra to upgrade again."
Pros: "Crew was excellent, seats are never excellent"
Pros: "The flight landed early. Check-in staff were great."
Cons: "Boarding was a debacle. Flight was oversold. Passenger had trouble boarding when their group was called."
Pros: "There was an available seat next to me"
Cons: "I had to walk from one end of Minneapolis airport to the other end all within 35 mins to catch a connecting flight, tram was not in service. Not fun!!!"
Pros: "The crew was amazing. Kat and the other stewards were very friendly."
Cons: "Maybe the option for free upgrade to first class if flight is not full??"
Cons: "Delays were unfortunate, but the gate area at LaGuardia was way too crammed, hardly any seats, and poorly organized"
Pros: "Love it"
Pros: "Crew was amazing."
Pros: "No major delays and able to make my connection. It was a standard flight without too much to report on"
Cons: "wish there could be less trash generated on airplanes. I notices that Flight Attendants on this flight separated the plastic cups from the trash, and I hope this got recycled."
Pros: "Good snacks"
Cons: "I was flying standby. I checked the list on line and my name was number 5. I get to the gate and there’s just a handful of customers. The agent said there was enough seats for the standbys I wait and wait for my name to be called but no luck. My name wasn’t cleared yet. Finally I was the next to last one to get a seat. The gate agent who didn’t ask for my name tells me I was all the down at the bottom of the list. While I am glad that I got on I wish I knew what method is use to get your name on the stand by list?"
Pros: "I have never seen a gate attendant call each person by name as she scanned their boarding passes! At Delta I felt welcomed by every employee. Even the pilots greeted the passengers as they exited. All the other airlines just want my money, they want to cram me into smaller and smaller spaces and want me to sit there and shut up so they don't have to interact with me. I will fly Delta every chance I get, even if I have to pay more money."
Pros: "Extra leg room was great"
Cons: "Entertainment system was flickering"
Pros: "Enjoyed the ease of check in the spacious gate and the cleanliness of the planes cabin"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Quick and easy"
Pros: "Crew were helpful and pleasant"
Cons: "Seating was uncomfortable, cabin was cold and no blankets available, food was just ok, plane had lots of empty seats yet everyone was squeezed into 3 in a row making it uncomfortable, no updates from captain or crew as to where we were in the flight....."
Cons: "The baggage drop attendant was very unhelpful when I asked if she could help me sort out an issue (when I checked in online for the second leg of my trip, i paid for my bag then but they wanted me to pay again for my first flight) and just dismissed me and said she couldn't help, making me pay again for my bag. First time I've ever had an unpleasant experience with Delta."
Pros: "On time, great service, a lot of legroom."
Pros: "The seats."
Cons: "In typical Delta fashion they boarded, deplane, board it again and then beat the plane. Blamed it on weather even though a full maintenance crew was beneath the plane in the entire time and, for the coup de gras moved a new flight an hour later 30 gate down. Classic Delta hopefully they'll be out of business in a year"
Cons: "Everything fuckin sucks"
Pros: "The space"
Cons: "No TVs"
Pros: "Left on time all went well in Atlanta"
Cons: "Impossible to figure out what to do in Toronto at Canadian Customs. You move from secure to unsecure then back to secure. It’s a mess and nobody tells you what to do or where to go. Picture process took 4 times. Nobody tells you that you have to transfer your own bags from Delta to West Jet. I even asked in a Toronto and they said no and nobody in Atlanta told me to collect my bags. So bags never made it until the next AM. The West Jet rep was very good and located the bags and they were delivered as promised. You should provide 3 page detailed instructions on how to handle Toronto. I am a seasoned traveler by the way. I’ve never seen anything worse. I could go on and on."
Cons: "was a difficult transition from delta to west jet in Toronto and we almost missed the flight"
Pros: "Easy boarding, helpful crew, on time, informative pilot"
Cons: "Fewer and fewer choices for beverage and snack"
Cons: "Step stairs, no help getting up or down. You should use a Laeger plane and a jet bridge. It was awful down and up and down stairs, then walking across the tarmac, not sanded,NOT SHOVELED. Have you gone mad?"
Cons: "Could not get the boarding pass to print at the self serve kiosk. Had to wait in line for assistance."
Pros: "Delta and Westjet staff are of great help to me."
Cons: "Not applicable"
Pros: "The staff is very friendly. Most pleasant airline I've flown with."
Pros: "On time as scheduled."
Pros: "Left early and arrived early."
Cons: "Smallest bathroom on a plane I've ever seen. Could barely sit down without my knees banging into door or wall."
Cons: "Price to get a little more space"
Pros: "Very comfortable and great crew."
Pros: "The flight attendant named Steven went so far beyond the call. He was attentive, he fixed our video system when no one else could and when he learned we were celebrating an anniversary he brought us a present. He was awesome!"
Pros: "Refurbished plane. Lighting was good"
Cons: "No TV screen"
Pros: "Liked that they were able to update our seats so we could sit together (spouse, baby,& I)."
Cons: "That the flight was delayed more than they informed us & it appeared that the gate crew did not know how to work the ticket machine & we waited to board with our daughter for 20 mins."
Pros: "Overall the actual flight was good..landing was kind of hard but I'm alive so not stressing that"
Cons: "..but the multiple delays are ridiculous, I would not fly Delta if I had a feasible choice."
Pros: "Good food and entertainment choices on board. Little to no feedback from captain regarding inflight turbulence."
Cons: "Getting through security at the LAX Delta Terminal 2 was chaotic and the slowest I have ever encountered. There were two lines which moved at very different speeds. My husband got through his line 15min before I was finished in the other line. One line required iPads to be other, the other didn't. Something was seriously wrong with how things were being handled. Bathrooms onboard were a pigstie."
Cons: "No space in the seats"
Cons: "There was a kid screaming on both flights and t was not a good time"
Pros: "there was NOTHING good about the trip from nc to atl to fl!"
Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."
Cons: "3 hours there before the departure."
Cons: "Not a fan of having "final boarding call" announced to run to the gate, only to sit on the plane at the gate for 30 min because of a scheduled delay at my destination. I know the flight wasn't very full, but that cost me an opportunity to eat dinner. I had to cancel a fast food order because I thought I'd miss my flight!"
Pros: "Friendly crew, ok seats"
Cons: "Was not possible to even request a coffee"
Pros: "That a delta plane actually had seat back video screens- First delta flight ever that I've been on that did. But every ones screen froze up just over an hour into the flight."
Cons: "Even though the Atlanta to Toronto arrived 'early' I had barely 20 minutes to get to the other plane- I would not have made it with out the amazing staff of weather and the Toronto airport. I use a wheelchair and even zipping through as fast as I could I was 15 minutes late arriving at the gate. I booked this flight thinking I had at least and hour and a bit between flights. Thankfully others on my flight were also late so the Ottawa bound plane did not leave on time"
Pros: "When you are delayed, there is not much to commend."
Cons: "Delayed. That pretty well says it all."
Pros: "Was actually an Air Canada flight. AC has much better seating in Economy Class. Seats have more room and more recline."
Cons: "United made no effort to alert us to the fact that we were actually flying Air Canada. Our rewards upgrade to Business Class was not honored.Extremely misled!"
Pros: "The agent at the gate quickly realized the problem and was able to put me an exit row, which was a nice consolation, but if the flight had been full, I don’t know what would have happened."
Cons: "I was bumped from my first class seat with very little explanation why, and wasn’t even informed until the boarding process was underway. My name was never called at the gate before boarding as a “Mr Smith, please come to the gate”, and it was very embarrassing to be pulled out of line like that."
Pros: "Crew was good. Food was ok."
Cons: "Athens check and security processes caused huge delays resulting in our missing our connection in Toronto and having to spend the night. NONE of the entertainment systems worked on the flight. We were rebooked without an opportunity to make our original flight which was possible. Agent also unkind"
Cons: "Roomier Seats more isle space and comfortable seating. Better head sets"
Pros: "The customer service wait is extremely long especially when u get hung up on and start all over . But one man was very helpful in changing to accommodate me next day"
Pros: "Staff was nice. Comfy seats."
Cons: "They had to check mom's little bag, so we had to move things into her carry on that she needed."
Pros: "It’s ok. The airplane is not comfortable. It’s old and small"
Pros: "Cabin crew was friendly."
Cons: "United 737-800 seats are cramped. The flight was severely delayed due to weather, and United did not do well in communicating that well. We had to wait 38 minutes after arriving in Toronto for baggage to start arriving in the baggage hall. United did not provide customs cards prior to arrival."
Pros: "Landing safely"
Cons: "Late departure. Poor food sale selection"
Pros: "The flight captain made up the total time that the flight was delayed, good take off & good landing, got us to Toronto on time. Thanks."
Cons: "Male flight crew could be better - first do your job of giving out the immigration forms then chat, not complete handing them out just one minute before landing so passengers can de-plane & then fill out the forms"
Cons: "The flight leaving Houston was delayed by over an hour due to some problems finding another captain for the flight thus extending the layover time by at least four hours. As a result I didn't get back to Toronto until around 12:30 in the morning. Otherwise everything else was fine."
Pros: "The crew was great, the seat was very comfortable. The flight was quick and seamless."
Pros: "The crew in the plane was very nice. The pilot gave us many updates. There was available entertainment on flight."
Cons: "The plane was again delayed. 4 flights with United, ALL 4 flights delayed. Plane is not quite comfortable. Boarding was messy. Could use lane for group 1 once they are boarded for all the other groups or have 2 ppl boarding for faster smoother turn around."
Pros: "Was good and all went well."
Pros: "I like the entertainment screen"
Cons: "The mini pretzel.,,"
Pros: "priority boarding; timeliness"
Cons: "Almost six hours late in Toronto Missed all connections No hotel No transportation No shave kit Exhausted"

Pros: "Comfortable; friendly crew"
Cons: "Flight was delayed on takeoff and then waited for about 45 minutes on the ground before getting to the gate"
Pros: "Pilot candor"
Cons: "In flight service"
Pros: "The plane window seat"
Pros: "Comfy seats! So nice when you have a comfortable chair"
Pros: "Despite delays the captain was communicative and gracious."
Cons: "Only one person was at the gate checking passports on a full flight so embarking took a very long time, making us late. Entertainment system was pay-only and the screen couldn't be turned off so we had ads flashing brightly in our faces the whole trip."
Cons: "Late by almost an hour"
Cons: "No seatback screens."
Cons: "For the second time in a row, the Houston Airport crew did not transfer the luggages to Air Canada."
Pros: "Greg care and service from those stationed on board."

Pros: "Same with the first flight leave access to the club room was amazing it was a great way to tame the Perils of travel with a long delay between flights I was able to go into the club room have Refreshments some food and sit down and relax and wait for my next flight probably the most comfortable I've been in the last 6 years of flying."
Pros: "Had own entertainment did not use however like the app availability. Considering all of the weather delays I am very impressed and happy with service."
Cons: "Unfortunately there were no hot beverages, but cold were served."
Pros: "Amazing plane with great features! Incredible staff!"

Pros: "Nice and happy/friendly people working for the airline..will take this airline again"
Pros: "Flight was fine"
Cons: "I didn't get an email to check in (normally when I book with air canada I get an email as soon as I can check in - to check in) I like this - so I have a chance to change seat without additional cost otherwise I have to risk it when I get to the airport or I have to just accept the seat given (which is usually in the back of the plane - this time the last seat)."
Cons: "Flight was 1 1/2 hours late departing!"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Check in was terrible"
