Pros: "Short, sweet, uneventful"
Pros: "What mede this trip so poor was that the agent at the desk informed me that as I was boarding the plane my carry on suitcase had to be checked due to limited space in the overhead bins. This is the same carry on that I have stored in overheads on literally over 100 flights including a United flight 4 days earlier. I was the approximately the fith passenger to board in group 3 and after I let her check my bag I walked on to the plane to see not only was it only one quarter full of passengers, most of the overhead bins were completely empty. So I had to go to baggage claim to get my checked bag after we landed which took almost 40 minutes. Very frustrating!"
Cons: "See above!"
Pros: "United does it better than low-cost carriers"
Cons: "Not worth the additional cost over low-cost carriers"
Pros: "Seat was comfortable"
Cons: "I was very specific with selecting aisle seats(has my sitting option) but it was ignored many times without my trip which made very uncomfortable. At times I had to request which seats."
Pros: "It was a good flight- friendly staff and crew."
Pros: "That I can charge my phone."
Cons: "That I needed the wall jack part to charge my phone. My side’s wall jack was broken. I think if possible they can make it that I can plug the usb part of the wall jack straight. This way the wall jack won’t be needed. Also they were only two in each roll but they are three seats in each roll."
Cons: "Less time with seatbelt sign on."
Pros: "Crew was efficient and personable."
Cons: "Two and a half hour delay leaving EWR because aircraft was late from prior destination. UAL said FAA limited flights coming in due to weather. Although scattered light rain, no seemingly unusual weather at EWR. No special reward once on the flight to make up for that delay (I.e. still charged for snacks and alcoholic drinks). Delay was very frustrating. Also, not a fan of selections on United WiFi entertainment - very limited."
Cons: "No flight"
Cons: "Need power supply for passenger seats in Economy Plus."
Cons: "pretzels and drinks only provided. Not too friendly stewardess, eating utensils were not available to assist customer with brought in meal. Luggage did not make it to destination with passenger... it arrived 2 hours later in the following United flight."
Pros: "WiFi and entertainment on board the aircraft"
Cons: "All goof"
Pros: "The time between boarding and departure was limited."
Cons: "It was hot and the pilot sped up through turbulence to land on time. The wind was too rough to fly fast through, I almost needed the "barf bag"."
Pros: "Very easy and smooth flights"
Pros: "Even with a nearly hour delay to switch planes, the captain and crew were very good at keeping people informed of the situation. The plane we were supposed to be on was having mechanical issues and rather than waiting until we were boarded and sitting on the plane until the issues were resolved (which coincidentally happened on my earlier flight for 1.5 hrs) the stopped boarding, which made a bad situation a little less crummy."
Cons: "Being delayed an hour for an red-eye flight sucks no matter what the circumstances, but better safe than sorry"
Cons: "Super uncomfortable seats"
Pros: "Besides being tired and walking what felt like 3 miles to new gate I have not issues to report."
Cons: "I chose to fly Southwest on the way back and for less money I received better service. If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."
Pros: "Smooth flight, on time. Older model plane compared to my first United flight but its more comfortable because the seat spacing isn't cramped the way they are on the newer model United planes. Immediately felt the difference (my knees weren't up against the seatback in front of me)."
Cons: "Older plane"
Pros: "The surprising extra legroom from economy seats."
Pros: "The crew on this flight looked miserable."
Pros: "Crew was very pleasant & helping. There was a gentlemen I sat beside with a service dog the size of a horse! He (diesel) was a gentle giant. The crew were dog lovers so they took care of diesel like he was a rock star!"
Cons: "No entertainment"
Cons: "Very uncomfortable seating!"
Cons: "Being wedged in the middle seat after two overseas flights and seeing stand-by passengers in isle and window seats in rows ahead of mine... no, I did not appreciate that. In other words, UA is accomodating stand-by passengers before accomodating customers who have purchased tickets. Try sitting in a middle seat after two overseas flights... especially as a tall person with no knee space and a super-uncomfortable seat with the headcushion area reaching only your neck. Those seats were clearly made for folks under 5'8"-5'9"."
Pros: "On time. Comfortable"
Pros: "Wish all the major airlines would have more flight options from ORD and MSY, but all went well"
Cons: "Fast and painless"
Pros: "Super easy & smooth flight. We left on time & arrived early."
Cons: "Nothing really. Honestly, I slept for half the trip, so it was pretty uneventful."
Cons: "After I booked my round trip flight to Denver from New Orleans I discovered that my mom had surgery to remove her breast cancer on the day I was originally supposed to depart. I called to see if there was anything I could do to change my flight to the next day and received no help what so ever. They said it would cost $200 just from the start. I couldn't afford that, so I just bought a cheaper one way ticket for the next day, not knowing that if I didn't catch my first flight that my return flight would also be cancelled. When I called to see if I still had my return flight I was told no and one again told it would cost $200 to do anything about it. So in the end, I'm stuck in Denver and bought a round trip ticket for absolutely no reason."
Pros: "In flight entertainment was great until the network stoped working 2/3 of the way there."
Cons: "We landed almost 40 min early, but was not allowed to get off because we had to wait our turn. So we just sat there with with nothing to do."
Cons: "My flight was delayed for about an hour, plane was outdated"
Cons: "I have arthritis (walk with a cane) and didn't have enough leg room....hated being in a middle seat....and due to that could not stand in flight to stretch legs. Also the crew on the way to New York made sure I had a wheelchair to cross the airport in Chicago and not so in New Orleans...had to make a visit to the emergency room after getting home and be off work for 5 days due to the condition of my leg after the walk across the airport."
Pros: "couldn't access wifi. crowded cabin. passengers being loud/obtrusive. long delay for takeoff."
Cons: "The wi fi should be free of charge"
Pros: "Flight was fast. Got there early"
Cons: "Didn't know that you needed the united app for in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "Flight cancelled at last minute because of "lack of available crew"."
Pros: "Crew was excellent. Beyond making sure we were comfortable."
Pros: "The people at the gate and on the plane were nice. But I flew United Airlines not Lufthansa."
Cons: "Really sad that you have to pay extra money to watch the monitors on the back of the headrest for a 2.5 trip. That's crappy. And then there is a point when you're out of the Directv Range. We're paying more for flights and then they have flight waitresses trying to monetize the time you're in the air. And when I was checking in in Berlin this guy was asking me a ton of questions, but didn't ask the next 5 people any questions. When I stared at him he started asking others questions. It's really none of your business why I'm going somewhere or what I'm doing. These terrorist attacks are giving people authority they have no business having."
Pros: "Not much to like..."
Cons: "Once again, your people need to cater to the people that flight. The very first time I flew with United was December 14, 1982. I was 7. As an adult I have either flown with Delta or US Air. I went with United on this trip and I have to say that I am never going back on another United flight."
Pros: "Smooth flight, nice staff, on time"
Cons: "Not enough leg room!!! The new planes cram us in even tighter. Unless you pay more, you suffer. Why should we have to pay more just because we are tall??!! Pocket for book etc is way too small."
Pros: "Very smooth flight and good seat"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and minimized the frustration with the delay"
Cons: "2 hour delay"
Cons: "I had to be in New Orleans at 12:00am so I could arrive home for an important interview on Monday morning.. My trip was cancelled and I had no knowledge of this until my arrival to the airport.. I had to pay an additional 75.00 to go back to Racine then another 75.00 to head back the next morning. When i arrived to New Orleans I was charged an additional 30.00 dollars for parking!"
Pros: "Stewardesses were new hires, but still decent with their service."
Cons: "Flight left an hour late with no clear explanatiom, making it really difficult to get home at the time of arrival."
Pros: "Not much to like"
Cons: "Supervisors and staff rude in Houston not accommodatING at all Horrible overall exoeriance with United"
Cons: "2-3 hour delay kept delaying, snack was nasty, drink yeah right it was a sip. They take a can and split it between four people. So unorganized and rude."
Cons: "I enjoyed my flight!"
Pros: "The flight was very short. Loved it"
Cons: "My Ears hurt after the flight was over."
Pros: "Flight was cheap! Weekend was fun!"
Pros: "Same as above,"
Cons: "Same as above, but no snack was offered, and there was only expansive food for purchase"
Pros: "Crew was polite and responsive."
Cons: "Flight was extremely delayed because of missing flight crew and/or pilot. Boarding announcements were very hard to follow because of overlapping PA systems at the gate. We sat at the gate for a long time before take off, which was uncomfortable because the seats are cramped for anyone above average height and I could not put my seat back or put my headrest up."
