I don't like that they can't tell you the gate of your connecting flight and how long it will take to get you there - including if you will need to take a bus and the train. I think this could reduce a lot of anxiety. If they could do this, it would also be helpful to let people who have a connecting flight that is boarding in the next 30 mins off the plane first. This would save pushing and shoving in the aisles... and would also reduce anxiety about booking a flight with such a short layover."

Tall, well dressed, middle aged Italian gentleman beside me on aisle seat talking on his phone from boarding until we started to accelerate for takeoff. I had to ask him to shut his phone off twice. Staff not looking out for phone use. Then he was receiving text as we landed in Boston and never even bothered to put on his seat belt. Again staff did not notice. I travel a lot and normally air crew notice these things. Booked to carry skis via the Lufthansa US call center and was told there was a special offer and they were free for US bound flights. This was great news as I had assumed I had to pay. On bag check-in the associate told me they had booked them as golf clubs not skis. She also did not agree skis were free and spent 15 minutes reading the details of the contract and talking with an associate. She was polite but firm about it and I had to pay Euro100 to get them checked in."

I was told that we could board another flight leaving in 30 minutes, so i went to that gate, crew was not there and we boarded the plane. We had to de- board and wait for the crew. The delay caused my car rental place to give away my reservation so I had to wait an additional 2.5 hours to get a rental car. The primary reason for my travel was a wedding and although I made the actual wedding, I missed most of the pre-wedding activities that I had rsvped for. The seats were really uncomfortable, particularly the lack of low back support. I was very sore after the flight and was unable to sleep despite having been awake for over 24 hours prior to the flight. We were finally given meal tickets but was unable to use as everything closed at 10pm."

Whoever at corporate thinks it's best practice to sell and sell and sell seats and live with the aggravation of the customers has an upside down notion of how to run a successful business. Plus, what have you ordered 737's without eco-plus. Where did the entertainment systems go?"

Pros: "Bad weather caused my flights to be re-routed, but United did wonderful in arranging for an similar arrival time to my final destination. I am very grateful for that. I can't judge the airline on something they have no control over."

No one helped me and was at the gate, i slept in the airport last night with no sign of help an hour before travel. I now have booked another flight back to the city I came from to fly out. Very upset, my confirmation email was not sent to me, and I had no way to oneline check in. Beyond upset and wasted my money flying back and forth to lax to sfo. Kayak did not have a contact number on their website and no one at the terminal helped me. Horror story travel nightmare. I now will refuse to use kayak and extreamly upset with areomexico."

Cons: "After United made me miss my connecting flight, I got an alternate flight to a different airport, but not apology, no offer to upgrade, nothing. Already frustrated, and with my knees hitting the seat in front of me because the seats are too close together, a flight attendant scolded me when I dared put my leg in the aisle (which I often do on other airlines without incident). Once on the ground, I went straight to United's baggage office to see if my bag had followed me, and encountered two of the rudest people, cutting me off whenever I said anything more than they needed to enter into their computer. If your job is in customer service, be friendly, apologize when things go wrong, understand that your customers are your reason for being in business, and be helpful."
