Pros: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Within a few hours (and thanks to airline assistance) we were able to locate the suitcase. Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"

После этого около 5-6 часов ничего не предлагали, и почти за полтора часа до приземления в спешке предложили воду, напитки и второй горячий обед, в котором предлагалась паста с курицей или паста с сырным соусом и грибами. Я выбрала второе, на деле никакого сыра там не было, соус был как чистый майонез, только горячий, и грибов было два маленьких кусочка по сантиметру каждый. На вкус это были просто горячие макароны с майонезом. Да и зелень в салате уже была темная. Полтора месяца назад на рейсе Нью-Йорк - Москва еда была вкусная, да и до этого никогда претензий не было, в этот раз одни неприятные впечатления"

On the way to Moscow we didn't have an entertainment because they monitors didn't work for 30% of the plane. On the way back they delayed the flight for 5 hours because they plane had technical issues and they were changing it. We missed our connection from NY to Miami and since it was a separate ticket I lost those tickets. They didn't update us while we were waiting what's going on. A few times they would announce boarding on the electronic tableau, people would line up and wait for 40 minutes. The staff would just look and say nothing or smile and say "we don't know why you are standing, I didn't tell you to line up!" We had a special meal on the flight. They gave you exactly the same food twice. I was just laughing but other people who had special meals were really upset. If someone asked they would probably say "it's your problem that you don't want to eat like the rest lol! Next time when booking a flight I'll pay more but have a normal experience and not the torture "Russian style""

Pros: "I wasn't sure what to expect, but the airline was better than I thought. Good food (2 servings), decent entertainment, and nice amenities (pillows, eye mask, slippers) for economy class for an international flight. For the price I paid, I would fly Aeroflot again. I wish I would have gotten my Russian transit visa prior to my trip. I knew about it, I just didn't want to pay the $200. SVO airport is great and open 24hr, but having a 20hr layover is tough. p.s. Don't let a hotel/Airbnb tell you you don't need a visa - you do! I watched 2 girls have meltdowns in the airport because they had hotel reservations, but no visas. Sad, wet eyes does nothing for Russian airport officials."

I think they were compensating for the overtly rude ones, so it even itself out. Boarding at the airport isn't always clear if your flight is boarding or not. Pay extra attention to your gate and time changes."

Cons: "The flight attendant seemed to have been bothered by the fact that she had to tend to my boyfriend and I. Any simple question we had may it had been what was on the menu for lunch or a simple request for ice in our drink; we received with a rude tone. When our plane was about to land I had my eyes closed because I had been traveling for 24 hours and was still very tired and she (Olga, I believe her name was) yelled saying "MIS, WAKE UP AND OPEN YOUR WINDOW!" this was by far the WORST flight experience I have ever had. I suggest this particular flight attendant reconsiders her career choice because customer service does not fit her. It is safe to say that I will NEVER fly Aeroflot again. And will be spreading the word to my colleagues and friends as I too am in the travel business and know how important it is to feel comfortable and safe when traveling abroad."

I was suffering for a cold and I noticed that one flight attendant has the new blanket on her hands, but she told me that is for business class only. That's ridiculous. I had to buy some cold medicine in New York to get my health back together for the stuff I need to do. The process of boarding was extremely unorganized, there is no sky priority either. I will not continue to pay for that membership for this lame service. The food is the worst."

Flight attendant and the pilot insisted on making announcements in English that sounded painful. They really should brush these people up slightly to improve pronounciation. There was no way to purchase alcohol on the flight. They gave a complimentary noglass of wine with the first meal, but after that you were done. Bringing your own alcohol to drink on board was "illegal". Obviously that's what people do anyway."

Cons: "It's my second transatlantic flight with Aeroflot. Nothing is done in time. First time the first flight (Saint Petersburg-Miscow ) was late and we missed the Moscow-NY flight (we're given a good hotel not far from the airport, but were to leave the room at 7am next morning, though our flight was much later). This time the connecting flight was planned in 3.45 hrs. In fact, we took off in 8 hrs. Nobody explained anything. The company provided food vouchers for $7.5, but people had to stand in the line for ah hour to get them, and with the airport prices the sum was enough only for a coffee and a hamburger. The organization is awful - people are invited to board, they stand in the line but the boarding starts only in 40 minutes! Very poor quality of food. And when I flew back with my granny who was in a wheelchair there was a very nasty lady at the counter, who told me we could get a chair only after a check-in and the granny was supposed to walk to the check in, though it's really hard for her. Only my being able to insist made that lady solve the problem. I am Russian and I am ashamed that this is out only company (they were able to buy or destroy all the rest)"

Why bother about Priority? Plane arrive in NYC 35 min late. Many transit passengers worried about their connecting flights."

What was not normal and supper aggravating was the fact that nobody met us at the gate to help us rebook our missed flights. We had to find an AA agent in the departure area and stand in line with other passengers who were checking in to their flight to Jordan. There was no customer service what so ever provided by Finnair."

Pros: "Well this was a first for me. The flight was overbooked and some one wanted to go to New York. Finn Air asked me if I would give up my seat they would get me on the next Finn Air flight to Chicago. I did and they even up graded me to business class on the next flight. It was the best flight experience of my life. Great food, hosts, and service. It was very comfortable the entire way."

Pros: "The Airbus 330 is an improvement over the Boeing 737 that took me to Europe (via Milan) on this trip. Unlike that flight, this plane is equipped with an updated on demand entertainment system. I attribute the upgraded airplane to the fact that this was a direct flight from HEL to JFK. Still no wifi though... Their magazine says it's coming. Upgrading to Economy Comfort is worth the fee especially if you get a bulkhead seat. Otherwise you are still pretty crammed in with maybe 6" more leg room. But the bulkhead seats are set well back from the wall to give my long legs plenty of room to stretch and get in and out of my seat. My friends in Economy looked miserable :( The chili con carne with rice was an improvement over other airline meals but still room for improvement - mostly in presentation I guess. Lingonberry 'salad' though a bit sour for me, was a nice Finnish dish to sample. Like the cheese and crackers. Departed and arrived on time. Liked the flight tracking that showed you very detailed what you were passing over and even gave us a bit of info and photos about highlights of each region flown over. Nice touch."
Cons: "This plane was such an improvement over the "bucket" that flew me to Europe that it has restored my faith in Finnair as a valid carrier for my yearly trip to Europe - like I said, probably because it is a direct flight to New York rather than connecting to another European (not Scandanavian) city like Milan. I would probably not use Finnair to access other parts of Europe for this reason. (On the departure end, the regional Finnair flight from Milan to Helsinki was also sub-standard.) I do think the check-in procedure is still cumbersome - self check in with bag check, though started at kiosks, still results in a long line just to hand off your bag to a counter agent. A few more agents would likely solve that problem... But it was better than going the other way - JFK was a nightmare! Helsinki only slightly better."

ULTIMATELY, SOMEONE, OR MORE THAN ONE PERSON, IS GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT BY THIS RECKLESS, GREED-DRIVEN DESIGN!! The OVERT GREED by the airline (American) clearly reflected by this in trying to JAM as many human beings into a flight as possible like Sardines is DISGUSTING!!! You simply DO NOT TREAT HUMAN BEINGS THIS WAY!! It is also clear evidence that there needs to be tighter standards, regulations and penalties by the FAA and what is allowed by airlines. Pros: "This is not my first experience with Finnair flight and I'm very pleased with a consistency of a good service, high professionalism and I will recommend this airline to all my friends."

The crew on board was ok, at best. The food was the poorest we had in both flights we took (we travelled from Barcelona to JFK, New York, and from JFK to YVR, Vancouver). We were most pleased with our flight from New York to Vancouver, with Cathay Pacific, who, by comparison, had very helpful and pleasant staff both at the JFK Airport and on board."

I found it absurd but read reviews that if you don't select seats you might get bumped off your flight if it's oversold. I didn't take any chances so I paid the additional $29 and yet both my fiancee and I sat way apart. Arriving at the airport to check in, I saw options to select seats which made me upset even though there was nothing next to each other but way more options than online."

I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. Worst of all, my seat didn't incline as far as the people on either side of me. Sleeping is already hard on a plane, and this made it way worse...not to mention my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me the whole time."

We were left to figure it out by ourselves. Crew: The impression was that all the flight attendants from HiFly were untrained. The did not know what to do an how to do. They seemed lost on the plane. We will never use again another company from the one world alliance."

The cabin was also very warm to be an international flight."

Cons: "Providing a small snack would be great. Also the sears are extremely small so when the person in front of you reclines their seat all the way it induces a claustrophobic feeling and really limits your space. I suggest limiting the degree of reclining to not be as deep."

People were in the wrong lines because it was too crowded to see where we should be. This is a POORLY run airport that needs significant expansion and improvement."

No information from crew about what what to expect on landing and about connections. Flight was late and it caused us a lot of stress. Airport not friendly and no information about immigration etc, Only people who are very fit should consider this flight with a transfer at Reykjavik No food served. The steward serving our section was friendly"

Cons: "The boarding on a connection in Reykjavic was the worst I've ever seen in my thousand flights. Customers were very upset wanted to break through the longest boarding line they'd ever seen. I was somewhat concerned for the potential of the passengers getting out of order. Safety became an issue as passengers began threatening to bust the line. "But, our flight leaves in 10 min." was heard again and again as we slowly meandered toward our plane for which we were over 30 min. late. Planes in Reykjavik were held up, though there was no weather problem, because of an overwhelming number of passengers trying to board their connecrtion. We were told this is common. On an eight hour flight we had little food available for purchase. After delivering the food we waited about an hour before the attendants came through to pick up the paper and boxes remaining from the food."

The guy in front of me was siting in my lap. Also the flight status boards in Reykjavik were not well designed. I've never seen so many people panicking and running to flights in my life. i was in the terminal for 3 hours on a layover and watched about 10% of the people freaking out. 99% of the time it was over nothing."

Cons: "Our connection from Zurich arrived as boarding had begun in Reykjavik. When we arrived at the gate, it looked like business class had already been called, so there was HUGE mob gathered about the gate including small children. An employee worked her way through the crowd randomly checking passports and marking boarding passes. Eventually we made it onto the shuttle which drove us out to the plane. I wouldn't like to fly Icelandair overnight because I wouldn't be able to sleep at all in the business class seats since they don't recline that much."

Overall, I feel that I had to run the gauntlet of discomfort and tedium before I could actually enjoy my trip----as if the suffering was part of the package. This airport impacts the flight itself. Now we are supposed to accept an hours delay without apology as if that's ok. Standing in line at the airport for two hours in Iceland just makes me commit to traveling less and becoming more selective in my choice of airlines."

Pros: "The flight itself was nice. Love the free WiFi and entertainment options. Icelandair is one of the most comfortable flights I have been on."
Cons: "I am very upset with how icelandair handled luggage for our layover. Our layover was and overnight, 17.5 hour layover. Not a single staff member told us they would be withholding our bags for the entire layover. Not at check in, not during boarding, not when we landed. We had to figure it out ourselves by asking the baggage info, to which they responded with "if you wait 2 hours maybe it will come on the carousel and you can take it." Mind you it is 1:30 in the morning and we had already waited for an hour, not knowing this was the answer. I am extremely disappointed that we could not access our bags and that not a single staff member told us our bags would not come. I've never had a problem with icelandair until now and I strongly hope this does not happen again to anyone else."

Cons: "The airport was absolute chaos. No room to wait at the gate, poor communication, no info at the gate, late flights, people crammed into the bus for the plane. Seems the amount of travrlers has simply overwhelmed the airport staff and space. Hot cramped airplane and you have to pay for the most meager snack. By contrast, Jet Blue was spacious and comfortable. Unlikely to travel Icelandair in the future."

Pros: "Bird struck plane that we were about to board; maintenance crew thankfully determined to switch planes even though it would cause delays. Rather be safe than sorry!"
Cons: "Our checked bag never showed up at customs bag claim in NYC. To date (5 days after we arrived back home) the airlines still cannot locate our lost bag. In fact, our baggage tracking # was never registered under our names at check-in!!! Our delayed flight from Reykjavik caused us to miss our connecting flight back home, which the airline booked us in a hotel, but booked us in a hotel near LaGuardia even though flew into JFK. We never received our vouchers and were given verbal instruction. We had to arrange transportation ourselves to seek reimbursement later on, learning this after going from terminal to shuttle area, back to terminal after waiting for the shuttle that never arrived. Rooms weren't ready when we showed up at hotel at MIDNIGHT. Next day, domestic tickets could not be issued for our connecting flight, causing us to have to shuffle from terminal to terminal to resolve the ticketing issue with Iceland Air. Total nightmare of a trip."

Pros: "The entertainment was really terrific, selection was good and the equipment was brand new."
Cons: "I felt like it was bumpier than other flights I've been on. I know that's highly subjective and a product of weather but it felt like it was excessive. There wasn't a lot of communication about conditions from the flight crew like I've had on other flights. It took forever to board."

Pros: "I liked the selection of movies, food and drinks, it is mid-November, but the featured Christmas platter and beer Jöla was a perfect ending to a lovely vacation. Food and drinks are for purchase of course, but a reasonable amount for the quality and quantity. Flight was inexpensive, but comfortable for the six-hour flight. I did not have to pay for the 3 movies I watched. Plenty of free juice, water, soft drinks, hot tea and coffee. Not to mention that Keflavik airport has lots of good foods and drinks, all tax-free. Definitely flying with Icelandair again, especially when you have 2 free checked bags and 1 carry-on bag, plus personal bag for my precious camera and tripod during a winter vacation, is absolutely essential!"

Pros: "I loved the informative videos about Iceland! I had planned to watch them all, but my video screen stopped working for awhile. I thought about switching seats, but I ended up sharing headphones with my boyfriend and watching some movies instead."

Pros: "the price is great, there's movies to watch through the flight"
Cons: "the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, the boarding process is a mess (no groups so everyone rushes to board at the same time, no lines), there's no food on a transatlantic flight. They were also extremely affected by the air traffic controller strike. On our way to Europe we missed an entire day having to get re-booked after missing our connection in Iceland. On the way back (this flight) we had a 17hr layover, and our flight back to the US was delayed 2 hours -- but we didn't have a connection to make in the US, so this didn't affect us that much, apart from being home two hours later. I probably will not fly Iceland Air again and would NOT recommend them."

Cons: "For a 5 hour flight (that turned into an 8 hour flight) no food was provided. when I finally broke down an paid for some it was minuscule and the crew member that brought it had attitude and was not polite."

I have been flighting TAP for many years now and it used to be one of my favorite airlines. No longer is the case. Over the years there has been a decline on service."

Cons: "Flight was delayed and we were never notified despite receiving multiple emails to ‘upgrade’ our flight. While checking in we attempted to upgrade 3 tickets to first class and were sent to 3 different areas in the airport with our luggage, having to wait in line each time. Didn’t provide vegaterian options on board. Weren’t given a gate ever after landing 5 hours late and were kept on board for half an hour making us miss a 2nd connection we had to rebook after the initial delay. A frustrating experience hat could have been made better with just some communication about what was going on."

Cons: "We were never prompted to pay for our check in baggage at the time of purchase and so when we showed up we were forced to pay 85 euros for one checked bag for an international flight on top of a ticket that already cost more than $250. The luggage restrictions were never shown previously. Will never fly TAP Portugal again."

Even in explaining to me the person on the phone was rude. This was very disappointing as I had such an amazing trip to end on this sour note. (2) The boarding process took forever. They made us line up about 45 minutes before we actually boarded. So we were all standing around as opposed to being seated in waiting area. We did not board until after our take-off time. (3) Seats were really tight, uncomfortable and don't recline much."

The main flight stuardess in charge was rude and kept giving attitude to people when they asked questions because half the people on the flight didn't understand Portuguese. I wasn't allowed to pick my seat on the website so we ended up in a middle row. The person i was traveling with is over 6 ft and could not comfortably fit in the seats. Thankfully no one sat on the end so we were able to spread out between 3 seats. The entire experience made us not want to fly into Portugal again."

Cons: "I purposely got a seat in the front row for extra leg room next to my two friends whose tickets I paid for. The TV in my seat was broken and I therefore could not at all watch TV unless I moved to another seat. I ended up not being able to sit with my friends for the entire seven-hour flight. The flight was delayed multiple times. The first time it was delayed because they were doing an extra security search by hand in the Gated area awaiting to board the plane. I have never seen this in my life and it was definitely started. Then we were on board the plane for almost an hour before they made an announcement that they found a broken part on the plane and had to switch planes. It was all very fishy. Quite frankly that I want my money back."

Pros: "Entertainment! Loved having such a wide selection of things to watch on the screen at my seat. Such a nice luxury to be able to watch a movie, a show, check the status of the flight/plane/distance/time/map, and more."
Cons: "The food wasn't that appetizing. It actually gave me upset stomach for the rest of the flight. I was in the bathroom 3x during the flight and I usually don't use the restroom more than once during any given flight. I didn't like that when asking for a drink of water, they only give a half full cup of room-temperature water. On an 8 hour flight, I get dehydrated and could drink 2 water bottles alone. I don't like to be a nuisance to the attendants so I only asked for water twice. I just wish they would provide small personal bottles per customer. I also have never flown on TAP before so I wasn't aware of anything like how to call an attendant using the touch-screen or even that watching movies was free. It should be said over the intercom at the beginning of the flight."

Pros: "I had a flight from Madrid --> Lisbon airport with a final connection from Lisbon --> NYC JFK and we were delayed in Madrid therefore arriving at boarding time of our other flight in Lisbon. The crew was so professional and prepared that when we landed in Lisbon there was a bus that brought about 25 of us who were connecting with final destination to JFK to the closest door to go through passport control and board onto our flight to JFK that they held for a good 30-45 minutes until all of us made our connection. Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!"

Pros: "Andrera Araijo was extremely friendly, attentive and energetic. She smiled through out the entire flight. Whether she was attending to me or a fellow passenger it was all smiles. She definitely made smile. God bless you Andrera!"

Cons: "Lobster appetizer was dry, hard, and tough. Steak dinner was prepared nicely, but of medium- low quality meat. Announcements are not heard in headphones, which in emergency situations could be dangerous. Noise reducing headphones supplier are effective in the noise reduction function, but not high quality audio resolution, with some dialogue intelligible. Business class seat wasn't a full recline as are those of most competitors, but it was comfortable. I didn't see any snack offerings that most other airlines have available between meals."

Pros: "My check in was by far the easiest it has ever been on any of the international flights I've taken over the years. This was my first flight with TAP Portugal and I will certainly by happy to fly with them again. The next time, I'm going to take advantage of their offer to stop over in Lisboa."

Cons: "Customer service to get a veggie option on the flight was really hard to work with. We did get veggie options but they were not very good at all. Movie selection is terrible, but the screen worked a little better, more leg room on this flight than the flight to Lisbon."
