The flight was very late departing the gate, for unknown reasons.
Alaska Airlines cancelled my flight the night before and then waited hours to let me know that they rebooked me on a flight 2 days later
The flight got delayed for some unknown reason to us. Then, after boarding, we stayed grounded for almost an hour without any explanation or announcement. Then, finally lifted off. When we landed and made our way to baggage claim. The luggage took 30 minutes to come! It was past midnight due to the flight being delayed and my litter children were cranky and tired! It was not a great experience. Perhaps, more explanation of what is going on with the flight would be helpful!
I was in economy class and there was plenty of leg room. New interior which was nice and they served various kinds of chips and sodas on the red eye. You couldn't get a bottle of water but they instead served it in a medium paper cup from a reinforced structured paper container, environmental friendly.
I was able to upgrade to first class, which was great. Food and drinks were underwhelming compared to other first class flights I have taken.
I flew from San Francisco to Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines. The flight was operated by Alaska Airlines. Everything was fantastic. On the return flight from Honolulu to San Francisco, boarding was chaotic. They called each boarding group 1 through 6 very quickly, and everyone just ran and got in a very long line. There was no enforcement of boarding groups. Carry-on rules were not followed, and by the time I boarded the plane, there was barely any overhead space. I was boarding group 4. The crew was very professional, and the Hawaiian Airlines terminal in Honolulu was beautiful. I wish the rest of Honolulu Airport looked like the Hawaiian Airlines Terminal.
Mediocre is best way to describe. Bare bones narrow seats, Dirty pulldown tray, unfriendly cabin crew who were in a hurry to serve tiny drinks and tiny snacks. (Compared to much better Hawaiian Airlines experience, .. no comparison!)
Like South West(2 check in baggage free) if Alaskan Airlines could give at least one check in baggage free then it would be great.
Als je niet teveel verwacht van een budgetmaatschappij, kan het ook niet tegenvallen. Omdat we de goedkoopste tickets hadden konden we pas bij de gate! onze stoelnummers krijgen te horen. Hiervoor moet de medewerker toch even puzzelen. We zitten dan ook niet bij elkaar als gezin, maar gelukkig voor ons, onze kinderen en de andere passagiers wel ouder/kind bij elkaar.
Have entertainment screen so we can watch movies. More food during the flight. Blankets for all the passengers.
Excellent flight. On time. Great staff. Clean and crisp cabin.
This was an overnight flight, and in the morning they did know coffee service. How you can throw passengers in a San Francisco airport at 5:40 a.m. in the morning and not giving them Coffee is a crime.
Horrible service no Wi-Fi connection on both leg of the flight and they are refusing to fix bad service
Flight arrived 30 min early and bag was waiting at the baggage pickup. United Club HNL was one of the nicest in the system
1. when we went to check in, our 2 first class seats had been CANCELED and the flight was sold out. This was done without our prior knowledge. It was all we could do to restore one first class seat for my wife and I flew economy. 2, Our flight home was scheduled to leave at 10:30 pm. Due to tsunami warnings, the roads were closed and our flight status was uncertain as to whether it would leave as scheduled. It was announced that it would now leave at 11:20 pm and the roads were now open since the tsunami had come and gone. We made a mad dash to the airport and checked in. Delays were announced at 12:30 pm, 1:30 am, 2:30 am and at 3:30 am it was canceled. Since this was a flight due to natural (tsunami) causes, there was no compensation. We were told to return at 1:00 pm the next day and our baggage would be kept on the plane since the same plane was going to leave at 1:00 pm. We had to return to our hotel for the rest of the night. The same plane did not leave at 1:00 pm and our baggage was gone! All in all, it was a miserable performance by UA. Information was hard to obtain and no one knew what was going on and what was going to happen. Hundreds of passengers slept on the floor, chairs, etc. No food and no water was made available to the passengers. It was a situation where UA could care less what was going on. As a one million mile flyer, I had not experienced anything like this before and it was hugely disappointing!
Boarding was mayhem. Late boarding by 15 minutes because of lack of staff (missing 1 flight attendant. We had to wait for an arrival of another plane before we could board). Flight was a little rough, but cannot blame on airlines.
United out of SFO is having issues with catering so none of our meals were loaded on the plane and no offer of compensation for our tickets purchased was offered.
For the most part united was a good experience, how ever when they came by with the snacks and water, they completely passed by my wife and I. As we were in separate rows. On a 5 hr flight we were not offered water
Fantastic crew. Flight was delayed at last minute but we were given updates every 20 minutes and the crew was so friendly and considerate. I miss the touch screens on the back of the seats, wish they would bring that back though.
Was realllly smooth. It was delayed but we were well informed.
