Cons: Very comfortable flight!Read more about Delta
Cons: Very comfortable flight!
Pros: The flight was on time
Cons: too crowded
Cons: Top carrier
Cons: People wiping down their seats during the flight .... how silly
Pros: Seat comfortable and the seatbelts actually fit!
Cons: Nothing relly
Pros: Cree was great. The switch from one airplane to another was smooth. Snacks were great selection and enjoyed the WiFi
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: this is the airline
Pros: Nothing three hours late I went to dc and then took the train
Pros: Crew was really nice.
Cons: My first flight was delay because of that I lost my second flight.
Cons: We left Salt Lake City so late that I missed all my train connections and ruined my plans.
Pros: Standard boarding The plane was on time
Cons: Better boarding process.Such as the one used by Southwest
Pros: The flight was on time the crew and captain was very helpful. They got us on and off quickly and safe
Pros: Almost 3 hours of delayed
Pros: Crew was the best I have had in 2019 on Delta, the only good crew.
Cons: Everything at the Atlanta Airport. From the airport and staff itself to those working for Delta Airlines. It has been so bad, that I am thinking of flying with American Airlines again and avoiding the Atlanta Airport all together. Absolutely the worst airport in the country, Delta not much better
Pros: Good entertainment options.
Cons: Only water and coffee available. Flight had been delayed over an hour.
Cons: I paid to be in row 1 first class, when I checked in I was in the first row, then as I boarded I was told my seat changed to the back row in first class for no reason at all. I choose the 1st row for a ready and I expect to sit there! 2 flights in a row that Delta moved my seat for no reason
Pros: Entertaining crew
Cons: On time arrival (we were late).
Pros: I like flying Delta. Make you feel comfortable and at ease.
Pros: The crew was nice, the flight was so short, there was little interaction with them.
Cons: Boarding was a disaster, people didn’t have seats which caused a delay in boarding. It was a mess. The seats were uncomfortable and too small. I know it’s a short flight but it was just too tight in there. The flight was delayed and the communication was all over; the time was constantly changin
Pros: Don't know yet, because I have not left Korea.
Cons: Not happy that DELTA changed my flight again and now I arrive (6) hours later in Philly. Longer layover in Detroit is not comforting! Hoping/praying that DELTA doesn't change more on this flight going home!
Pros: nice crew
Cons: terrible seat comfort, late departure due to airline’s booking problems
Pros: We left early
Pros: Flight was safe, smooth & fast.
Pros: Pilot was courteous, pleasant and kept us informed of flight status.
Cons: Seats have no leg room!!!
Pros: Excellent gate personnel, spacious and clean plane
Cons: Some crew members were a bit curt
Pros: It was too cold on the flight. I asked for a blanket and luckily the stewardess had one. However, before giving it to me, she told me it was the only one on the flight!
Pros: Smooth , fast, comfortable
Pros: Crew was awesome
Cons: No TV unfortunately
Pros: What I liked was getting to my house.
Cons: The air-conditioning was extremely cold; on the positive side, I was given a blanket. The plane did not have any kind of tv screen in which to watch films or programs. Space was unbelievably tight between seats and rows; I cannot imagine a horizontally or vertically big person having any level of comfort. In general, the service was quite poor, making me wonder how does Delta treat the flight attendants, for they seemed tired and careless. The above did not happen in any of my other flights: Atlanta-Guadalajara, Guadalajara-CDMX, CDMX-Atlanta.
Pros: Everything, smooth flight with an entertaining crew.
Pros: The exit row seats reclined.
Cons: USB charging didn't appear to work. No meal service. Very brief lay over. This is bad because a 6A flight from RNO to SLC with a <50m layover and then a SLC to PHL flight means that you do not get any food until 11P when landing in PHL.
Pros: Crew was great
Cons: No entertainment on flight. No smoking in Minneapolis airport
Pros: Everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly, the flight fast and calm.
Cons: Nothing that can be done, just tough being 6'5" in a connection plane.
Cons: Customer service was lack luster...
Pros: That I had room to accommodate my at the time disability and the crew members amazing
Cons: No Tv at all.
Pros: Made it out of Detroit that same day! Friendly flight attendants!
Cons: Flight was delayed. And then cancelled. We were booked into a later flight 8 hours later that was also delayed again due to weather but we did make it out of Detroit that night. Other people were not as lucky.
Pros: They have great and friend staff.
Cons: Delta treats any passenger that isn't a member of their skymiles or anyone that doesn't purchase a seat in advance like peasants. You don't get assigned a seat until YouTube up at the airport... That's fine, not really a big deal. But because you didn't select a seat, they don't let you print or view your boarding pass on your phone, forcing you to go to the checking desk. For someone that has TSA pre check and travels alot, all that extra time adds up and can sometimes cause you to miss your flight. Because there is on "fast line" when you check-in like there is at the security check point. I only have this problem with Delta, never American airlines...
Cons: my flight from JFK to Cancun had entertainment (TV, movie screen, headphones, etc). This one did not. Was kinda disappointed.
Pros: Seats were comfortable
Cons: If flight is full all the time get a bigger plane
Cons: NO ENTERTAINMENT no snacks on the second flight after an hr 24 layover AND 52 minutes delay, seat near the bathroom which smelled horrible
Cons: All "carry-ons" were taken at the jetway, which was fine. But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !
Pros: Our plane had mechanical issue with a parking brake which they left us know about once we loaded the plane. Unfortunately it was going to take to long so they switched us to another plane.
Cons: Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room.
Cons: Having delayed flights
Pros: The attendants
Cons: The delay and no free wifi.
Pros: Tail winds provided an early arrival. When my flight was rebooked due to a delay on my first booking I was upgraded to Permium booking and drinks were complementary on the flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia.
Cons: Super loud. Couldn't talk to anyone without shouting. No view out the window, as the engine was about 5 inches outside the glass. Not sure why there even were windows for these seats, as they probably just let in more sound. Also right next to the bathroom, so frequently smelled bad.
Cons: Wouldn’t know, couldn’t make it and the rebooking for a new flight was a nightmare
Cons: Less Fully packed plane during Covid
Pros: Empty seat between us. Entertainment was good. Bags made it to the baggage claim before we did!
Cons: Flight attendant had an attitude when I boarded. I went to put my carryon item in overhead compartment and she questioned me asking my seat number. My seat included a carryon and she had an attitude for no reason.
Pros: The crew was great and separation of passengers unless traveling together was great as well!
Cons: My luggage was completely soaked, ruining important paperwork, clothing and even my parking lot ticket for me to exit the parking garage. Apparently they didn’t even try to cover the passengers luggage.
Cons: None of the USB outlets were working in isle 7 A-C
Cons: Flight was rerouted to another airport due to poor weather at Philly. 3 hours later we arrived at Philly, but I missed my connecting flight.
Cons: IFE was not streaming movies, WiFi on but not loading
Cons: More comfortable seats you can sleep in
Cons: Staff gave us a hard time with our 15 month old sons luggage. Almost missed our flight as a result
Pros: After the GSO - PHL flight, I mistakenly boarded a flight to Portland Maine PWM. Why didn’t the gate attendant catch this error?
Cons: Attention to detail by both the gate agent and myself.
Pros: Ground crew was great, they kept us informed about our 3 hrs delay
Cons: Get a crew in in less than 3hrs Some people has plans
Cons: The plane was completely packed despite the COVID pandemic. A stranger sat next to me on the plane (distance of about 6 inches, not 6 feet). What social distancing? And yet they conveniently said no food/drink beverage for safety reasons. Good way for the airline to save a few bucks. Other airlines (like JetBlue) block out adjacent sears and give snacks in individual bags but this... I flew several times since the pandemic began and this was by far the worst. What a joke of an airline. Never flying them again
Pros: I am no longer comfortable with airline seats, bad nerve in back of leg.
Cons: Poor communication about “Red-tagging” carry on luggage
Cons: Serve cofee
Cons: The crew failed to enforce ANY mask policy. The WiFi did not work. They over served alcohol to the passengers.
Pros: The employees were as good as they could be, given the atrocious handling of the situation by American Airlines and its policies.
Cons: We were 1.5 hours late leaving for an unknown reason (not weather). Then, it appeared that we didn't try and make up the lost time in the air (we also landed 1.5 hours late.) This caused a significant proportion of the passengers to miss their connecting flights. American didn't do anything to help other than offer a "discount" of about $10 off of over $100/night hotel rooms in the Philadelphia area to sleep overnight in Philadelphia. This was absolutely lousy customer service by American, and will definitely make me avoid American Airlines in the future.
Pros: The pasta meal was quite good
Cons: Some more space. Individual entertainment. Air quality
Pros: Seating had more space, the crew very relaxed and good humour as well as professionalism.
Cons: Well the flight was short, so not much more could be done on this particular flight. The restroom could be a tad larger but think was on an older aircraft.
Pros: After the initial delay, the female desk agent got us on another connecting flight without a problem. Second flights attendant was also great.
Cons: They boarded the plane, only to tell us they had to de-ice, which is understandable. However, after waiting 20 min for the de-icing that never came, they made us get back off the plane because of mechanical issues. The captain/pilot was rude to the woman working the desk over the radio, to the point where she had to leave the desk and go speak to him in person (she knew we could hear everything.) That conversation is also how the whole line of people was informed that then knew about this mechanical issue since the night before, and chose not to fix it before boarding all of us. After getting to Philadelphia later than expected, we were forced to pay for hotel food that was horrible and overpriced. Only to then have our plane be delayed AGAIN because of mechanical issues, again the pilot not giving much information to the attendant she was faced by a room of 40 angry people and had no answers. The departure time slowly crawled out longer, and the only reason I knew was because of having the American app. Information/communication on all ends was poor. I usually fly Allegiant, which is notoriously “cheap,” and I’ve never had an experience like this. Happy my boyfriend has flown with American before and knew to give us an extra day so we didn’t miss the wedding we paid $800 in airline tickets to attend. Just disappointed.
Pros: I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid.
Cons: On top of that, one of the flight attendants on the Philadelphia to Lisbon run was a hella snarky guy with a bad attitude all the way through. I would be surprised if I am the first person to complain about him.
Pros: Efforts to get us to Philadelphia
Cons: Got to Philly - no one there - rushed 2 concourses and plane still there with daughter on-board. They gave away our seats, told us we would not get on, would not get our baggage and would not get put up in a hotel. Because of the NBA draft - had to travel 60 miles to New Jersey for a hotel. Lost a day, lost 2 tours, endured additional hotel costs...and the attendant made it clear she was on overtime and we just needed to move on. American Airlines is too big and consolidation of airlines has not been good for the public.
Cons: The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options.
Pros: AA got me home safe.
Cons: Entertainment was nonexistant. Most movies were unavailable and those that were would start and then say “no longer available” monitor did not work. I was not the only passenger with issues. Many could not get system to work. Antiquated and/or poorly maintained. Also, announcement made it seem as if you had to pay for wine/beer/spirits. I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)
Pros: The in flight staff was very friendly
Cons: Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :(
Cons: The staff member at the gate counter in Philly was very short and rude. She asked for people volunteer to check their carry-on bags and when I took mine up she was very curt. She asked me for my seat number (I didn't hear her) and her tone got worse. A woman who did not speak English need assistance and was turned away by this person with s shrug. The Latina finally stood in the middle of the gate area asking for help from anyone who could speak English. I just spent 18 days I Madrid and never once was rejected when I asked for assistance. I was not happy with your employee and I was ashamed to hear an American treat someone that way. In the employee's defense, she was alone at the dest up until boarding time and was juggling a lot of balls without any other support. Not a good experience.
Cons: We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall.
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The flight was late due to maintenance and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. American Airlines customer assistance at the airport was absolutely terrible. They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again.
Cons: American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly! The airlines took my family of 6 off the flight that I booked 6 months in advance, and I had no flight out of Munich, Germany. I do not know why. I called and had them put us back on the flight. I paid extra for seats so that we could all sit together. The seats were given to others and my family could not sit together. The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee.
Pros: Nice flight, great leg room, staff was friendly and flight was on time.
Pros: Because this flight was NOT full, my wife and I had the entire center section to stretch out. This made our 7.5 hour flight amazingly comfortable. The Airbus A300 was a reasonably new aircraft. Everything was clean and looked good. The food was exceptionally good. My wife and I both commented on how good the food was (my wife stated, "it was the best airplane food ever"). The main meal, the hotbox snack, and the late in flight chocolate ice cream were ALL good. The staff were great, friendly, service oriented, nice people.
Cons: Navigating through Heathrow
Cons: We booked a BA flight from Pittsburgh to Glasgow, through Philadelphia. We intentionally chose BA because we anticipated good service. We later learned that the flight was serviced by American. Our original flight was delayed one day because we missed our connection due to weather on the East Coast (after six hours at the airport). American re-ticketed us for a flight the next day. After several misstarts in Pittsburgh, we arrived in Philadelphia with minutes to spare. After running to the gate, we were then greeted with what turned out to be a four hour delay. Then, upon return, we learned that our seat selections/priority boardings were all deleted because of the re-ticketing on the on the flight out, and we spent hours on the phone and at the airport trying to get things sorted out and ensure that we had a return flight. One of the worst trips ever in my experience.
Pros: We were notified of the pending delay in our flight from Athens to Philly very promptly on the morning of the 10th. We immediately called and spoke to a British Airways agent and also a supervisor who was understanding and kind enough to accommodate us by reserving seats on a later connecting flight with American Airlines from Philly to Phoenix. We did not receive a confirming email and ended up calling back. We were then told that Vouchers will be waiting for us at the Philadelphia airport with our names.
Cons: When we checked in at Athens airport there was no information available for our connecting flight in Philadelphia. The AA counter was chaotic, the agents were rude and had changed our seats to 2 separate areas. When we arrived in Philadelphia there were no vouchers waiting for us. The only thing that the agent could find were seat assignments . We stood in line over an hour waiting for her to figure out what had happened and almost missed our connecting flight . Even though my daughter was in a wheelchair with a brace on her leg and in pain, the agent at the counter was not very empathetic at all. The agent also kept saying that this was not correct somebody made a mistake to tell us we were booked and that person will get in trouble. Eventually she spoke with the supervisor and gave us 2 boarding passes.
Pros: Liked all the little amenities - actual meals, USB plugs for charging, free movies and games to entertain my kids, enough leg room that I can bend down and get stuff from my bag under the seat and that I could lean back a little without causing the person behind me to need knee surgery, tilt feature on screens to make video viewing easier when the person ahead of you tips their seat back. Seats were wide enough that I didn't fear jabbing my neighbor in the ribs every time I moved. Ice Cream!
Cons: Boarding-we boarded class 9 and had a carry on that was to big so all 3 personnel yelled at me and my husband with my daughter in my arms very loud and disrespectfully " YOU CAN NOT BRING THESE TYPE OF BAGS ON THE PLANE!" Mind you 3 people are saying this while other people were also waiting to board the plane! So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! That experience was horrible and ruined my liking for AA
Pros: Flight wasn't full so I had the row to myself and got to stretch out. Great selection of movies. Decent food.
Cons: One FA seemed visibly annoyed with me; I'm honestly not sure what I did. I am a FA for another airline; didn't identify myself as such but always make sure to not be "that passenger." During two beverage services she did not ask me if I wanted anything but simply looked at me with disdain and sighed loudly. She wasn't rude; just not friendly and I never once saw her smile. She seemed tired and annoyed. I understand that feeling. I've been a FA for 16 years, still junior at my company, but it reminded me how important body language and facial expressions are when we work hospitality and customer service in the public eye. I hope everything is ok with her and I'm sorry if I did something that irritated her. I didn't get her name.
Pros: Food, OK legroom, complimentary wine & beer on a US carrier
Cons: Barely functioning ancient touchscreen system
Pros: The Ticket agent was very helpful and friendly. The air crew and Flight Attendants were very nice and helpful. The wheel chair attendant who initially took me to my gate in Las Vegas was very friendly, and helpful, and she did everything she could possibly have done, short of leaving another passenger to come take care of me, which wouldn't have been right. I was there when she called her supervisor and advised him/her of my location and of my needs and she received confirmation. Was not her fault.
Cons: I checked in with American and a wheel chair attendant assisted me to my gate. My wheel chair needed charged and I was two hours early, so the attendant sat me at the charging station because there were no outlets in the gate area. She contacted her supervisor to advise of my location and that I would need assistance. Nobody came for me. I gathered my things the best I could and struggled to get to the gate to get attitude from the gate agent, telling me the wheel chair attendant was there looking for me. What ever happen to using a paging system when you know the passenger who is disabled checked in two hours earlier? Had someone paged, maybe I could have flagged their attention, or maybe they could have called the company in charge of handling their wheel chair attendance and would have known where I could be located. Either way, the attitude is uncalled for, especially when I apologized and stated that the wheel chair attendant was expected to help me.
Pros: Equipment was an A330. I was seated in Row 11 and had priority boarding. As a result, I had considerable leg room and not trouble finding overhead space. Seating in the back has several inches less "pitch" between seats. A330s provide a very smooth ride.
Cons: Food: Salad was good, you could taste the arugula. Chicken, once you scrape off the barbecue sauce, was decent. The rest of the lunch did not seem worth eating. The best option if you are hungry is to either eat in the terminal or bring something you do enjoy with you. The movie selection had nothing you likely have not seen already. Be aware that sometimes PHL moves slowly. We waited over 5 minutes for the plane door to open. Bags took about 40 minutes to come up. There were no lines at immigration. Connecting in less than 2 hours can be iffy.
Pros: Price. That's it.
Cons: We sat in Orlando waiting to take off - delayed for OVER 30 minutes because ---> the catering truck failed to show up. The captain aired his frustration of the catering crew. Supposed to arrive in Philly approximately 2:24pm - we didn't arrive until 3:03pm. Baggage took another 20-30 minutes. All American emoloyees looked tired. Not one smile either to Orlando or from Orlando. (Oh yeah - we were late taking off to start my vacation from Philly because a crew failed to arrive to "start the engines of the aircraft," per captain's announcement. The entire aircraft boarded and sat, again, for 30 minutes without any air conditioning or air flow in the cabin.) Blah experience. Blah employees. And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone."
Pros: I flew first class. Philadelphia airport is horrendous. I chose to fly first class to avoid lines and make flying by my lonesome go more smoothly. There are no special lines for first class there are absolutely no perks to flying first class out of Philly. The first class flight attendant was rude. They ran out of hot food by the time they got to me so I was served yogurt ... I don't eat yogurt. I waited 40 minutes for my luggage to arrive at baggage claim. The flight to Philadelphia from Tampa was a good experience. They had first class lines. The airport was cleaner. The flight attendant Steve, was kind and professional. I was served a hot lunch. I'm a diabetic and when my blood sugar went low he got me orange juice quickly. I waited maybe 10 minutes for luggage at baggage claim. However with the horrific experience in Philadlephia I may never fly American again. Definitely will never fly out of Philadelphia again. I was told by the woman who I sat next to on the way home that she hates American and usually flys Delta for her business trips.
Cons: AVOID FLYING OUT OF PHILADELPHIA!!!
Pros: Easy boarding process and the flight was almost 30 minutes early
Cons: the wifi kept kicking me off while I was watching their in flight entertainment
Pros: On time & well organized
Cons: All good. Average service, or lack thereof, for American carrier
Cons: Cleanliness of airplane. Vents and tray tables were very dirty
Cons: Kept getting delayed
Pros: Flight was canceled.
Pros: The crew was great However my neighboring seat mate tray was stuck. They compensated both of us however those should be check in first class.
Pros: Crew was terrific. The seats were so comfortable. There was great aisle space to where I wasn’t getting bumped by passerby passengers.
Cons: WiFi was down but we were on time. I’d prefer no WiFi over a delay for it to be fixed so nothing really much.
Pros: Attendants were wonderful!
Cons: Baggage claim time - but that's a Philly issue.
Cons: Overall good thanks
Cons: Delayed on tarmac 20mins in Chicago, then delayed getting to the get in Philly, bags took 40 mins to get to carousel
Cons: Luggage took 30 minutes to get to pickup and it was covered in vinegar. The snacks on the ride really stink. A little bag of pretzels. Boarding and I boarding took forever
Pros: Had an entire row to myself. So I stretched out to sleep all the way on the red eye.
Pros: not much
Cons: too many crying babies
Pros: Flight was on time. Everything went smooth for being in coach.
Pros: There were some great employees but unfortunately one of the team didn't share their personality
Cons: There was one employee or steward who just didn't seem to want to be there did his job but compared to the others was not on the same page of the team
Cons: Tight seats, seat belt uncomfortable
Cons: Delayed departure and several gate changes
Pros: I was able to make my flight.
Cons: Crew were not friendly or helpful while boarding.
Pros: The fact that we got there safely.
Cons: Took them 90 minutes to fix a seat belt because they kept bringing the wrong part. They got it right the third try. The cabin crew sat in the back and chatted for an hour while we sat at gate. Not even a glass of water offered. Then we were diverted to Pittsburg because of weather and sat for an hour. Again no water offered. So on 5 plus hour flight crew went around once. The final straw was they blamed weather for the delay when in fact it was not being able to find the correct seat belt in due time.
Pros: There was a delay due to thunderstorms and the female pilot handled it extremely well
Cons: Flight was delayed Before we boarded but then once we boarded we Sat for another hour.
Cons: Flight never happened. American Airlines saved the day. It seems to me, the issues with United are deeper than we ever thought. I was highly disappointed with their inability to rectify the situation.
Cons: Lost bags and unable to have bags delivered as instructed. Unprofessional driver and still no resolution for receiving lost item.
Cons: 4 hour delay, no power in basic economy only power if you upgraded to economy comfort.
Cons: Paying for baggage
Pros: Flight left and arrived on time. Good service on board.
Cons: For boarding at the gate, attendant scanned boarding passes at one terminal and asked passengers to board next to another terminal across the room. Anyone could have walked onto the plane without a boarding pass, which seems to be a security concern. It felt as if I was seated over the rear wheels of the plane. During taxi and takeoff, there was an irregular bump that made a noise and vibrated the plane every second or so, and sped up as the plane sped up. I was concerned that something was the matter with the tire or wheel.
Pros: Friendly crew. Safe flight, that's what matters.
Cons: Plane could have been cleaner. Long hair extension on empty seat beside me. How did they miss that???
Pros: With these short flights on small planes, the best we can ask for is an on-time departure and smooth flying - which is just what we got.
Pros: very smooth and fast
Cons: some of the united employees were rude
Pros: I did like that we boarded quickly and efficiently. The attendants were very respectful and kept very quiet throughout their food and beverage service so others could sleep which was quite professional.
Cons: I didn't like that the only guy on the flight that kept his light on the entire trip had to sit next to me. I was able to sleep regardless, and I understand that it is out of the control of the crew or myself or anyone but that guy... but that was less than desirable. Other than that, great flight.
Cons: What food? A little snack mix. And once again, needed to get in and out with a shoe horn.
Pros: Everything went smoothly and as planned
Pros: In flight entertainment worked. Staff was friendly.
Cons: I had no issue with the delay, things happen. I was dealing with a knee injury and the gate plan had us all over the airport. It was quite frustrating to get to a gate in another terminal only to get told we were being moved back to the terminal we had just come from! Then that gate was changed again, involving another long walk on said bad knee!
Pros: Comfortable the entire trip! 1st class is the only way I will travel any more especially flying all the way across the country! Thank you United!
Pros: No delay! Earlier then expected.
Cons: Not to comfy.
Pros: We were lucky there was an empty seat on our row of three, which made it a little more comfortable.
Cons: Some of the crew was not helpful, cramped, no food. Next time will book 1st class for a 3 hr flight. We were delayed 1 1/2 hrs due to weather in Philly, nobody's fault just inconvenient.
Cons: No good snacks to even pay for didn't have time to stop and eat in the airport
Cons: United was boarding at least TWO flights out of the same gate, at the SAME time. My luggage was delayed and the United agents in philly told me it would be in at 7 pm... It was in at 7 pm two days later. They sent it to Knoxville for some reason? Will not fly United again.
Cons: No hot food
Pros: Professional airline. Comfortable seating. On time. Most impressive airline I've flown with in a very long time.
Pros: Flights were on time, no delays.
Cons: Three hour Houston delay; I accepted a change in scheduled flights with less delays and $300 compensation, but the offer was withdrawn without explanation. And had to switch seats in the first leg to redistribute weight.
Pros: flight attendants were pleasant. plane was clean
Cons: I was stuck with commercials for direct tv, two feet from my face the whole trip. I would push the button to turn tv off but it would come back on less than five minutes latter. I had my head phones in listening to personal device but was still distracting. speaker for announcements were extremely loud. the poor lady next to me would jump and then plug her ears. question, if you are allowed one carry on and one personal bag, why do you only have space for a third of the passengers to stow said bags?
Cons: Had to pay for my own shuttle to the train station (an hour away) and sit on an overcrowded train for hours. Extremely disappointed. Flight was canceled do to "air traffic control." No attempt was made to put me on other carrier's flights even though there were open seats with another airline.
Pros: Flight left OT.
Cons: Uncomfortable slimline seats.
Pros: Everything was ahead of schedule.
Cons: Had to pay for Internet to watch airline movies on my device. Not enough leg room.
Pros: The lcd screens in the back of the seats and the availability of watching whatever you wanted was nice. The flight was short so TV cost $5.99. Usually wouldn't do it but the Masters was on so it was a great way to pass the time!
Cons: The delay due to weather.
Pros: Comfortable, clean seating close to the gate, smooth efficient boarding, flight was on time, seating on the plane was comfortable enough for this short flight, including enough leg room even in the regular seats, though not conducive to sleeping because of the inability to recline. Crew was pleasant and did a fine job.
Cons: There was no coffee or breakfast available in the Fort Lauderdale terminal while waiting for this 7am flight. The terminal was plenty busy, and a coffee cart or kiosk would make a lot of money and keep everybody happy until restaurants open…. Or just open the restaurants earlier.
Pros: Quick responses although they didn’t help.
Cons: Entire seat cushion came off getting into seat, trash left from previous flight, was given the wrong info from kayak then wasn’t given a barcode on the boarding pass in the reply from Spirit
Pros: The crew assisted us in getting Standby passes when we missed our original flight. The Spirit representative (Isabella) was amazing in help my family and I get back home.
Cons: Better organization of flight departures and notification of long airport bag check-ins.
Pros: Everything pretty much matches expectations for a low cost airline
Cons: Water and - ideally - coffee included with ticket, not "for purchase" onboard. A few navigation screens in the cabin, having none for a 5+ hour flight leaves you in the dark about where the plane is
Pros: The flight was smooth and well worth the price.
Cons: The air conditioning was not on as we boarded and it felt miserable on the plane. Also the speaker was right next to me and was clearly broken as it was obnoxiously loud. It seemed as if they were talking too much.
Pros: Great value for the money, captain's jokes were hilarious!
Pros: The seats are ok, the crew was good, pleasant flight
Cons: The seats
Pros: Place was clean.
Cons: I’m just happy I got to my destination safe. I had no issues.
Cons: Nothing the flight was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever been in
Pros: Crew and expert was awesome
Cons: Nothing it was a very pleasant experience
Pros: Crews was courteous , boarding process was easy , pilot kept us informed along the journey
Pros: One flight attendant was comical and kept things light.
Cons: Baggage drop off is unnecessarily lengthy and travelers should be warned. It’s unlike any other airline. Luckily I arrived early enough to allow for the additional time, but if you don’t factor it in you may miss your flight. There is no beverage service and the tray tables are half sized and unable to accommodate a lap top. You’re forced into being crammed typing with the computer on your lap. Minimal and piecemeal communication regarding our diversion to another city. There was clearly no communication from the pilot to the flight attendants who were trying to do their best to assist passengers. If you’re diverting to a different city, passengers have a right to know what’s going on. Hidden/extra fees. I see no cost benefit in flying Slirjt due to all of the fees
Pros: Onboard crew was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Everything else “Spirit” related was a debacle. We lost our baby’s stroller attachment for the car seat. Very helpful as without it we are unable to use our stroller. Attempted to have several Spirit employees help however all everyone did was send us to another person and ultimately the last person just ignored us. We went down to baggage claim to see if by chance anyone turned in the attachment but we’re only told to file a report and if they so happen to find it they will contact us. This is no help whatsoever. Will never fly spirit again!
Pros: Flight took off and arrived on time.
Cons: Navigating the Spirit Airlines web site is like dealing with a used car salesman; you have to watch every single step of the way, because they will add unnecessary, unwanted charges if you are not careful. After this trip, I will never fly Spirit Airlines again. I wish I had booked a 1-way flight, rather than round trip, so that I could return on a decent airline. There is a reason that Spirit gets a 1-star rating on www.consumeraffairs.com/ If I have to fly to Atlanta to Philadelphia again, I will take either United or Delta.
Pros: When I booked my trip, I didn't realize that it was picked up by Flight Network. All of their correspondences to me indicated that I was leaving on the correct date but they informed Spirit Airlines the incorrect date. I ended up being a "no-show" and loss $300 because once I called the airlines they told me I missed my flight two ago prior to my scheduled trip! I was stuck in Las Vegas trying to get up enough money to get a ticket home! Why would Spirit use this third party agent after repeated issues with their service? Losing the $300 was a huge financial burden for me and my family.
Pros: I had to pay more for the nicer seat but it was worth it.
Cons: I had to pay for early boarding. I had a medical bag that I wanted to ensure was stowed in a safe place. They never called the early boarding for those that paid. They called those who needed assistance, military and those who were previously on the plane. Then all passengers. If you wanted a refreshment you had to pay for that choosing from a really dirty menu. I flew home on American Airlines, paid the same fare as Spirit, had a comfortable seat I didn't pay extra for and was also given drink and snack included. It was all considered cheaper than flying Spirit and less frustrating.
Pros: Nothing the seats where small I couldn't fit in the seat I was assigned I was stuffed in my seat I couldn't get comfortable my legs kept cramping I won't fly ever again on spirt
Cons: The flight from LAX was delayed twice and took off more than three hours later. The flight back from Philadelphia to LAX was canceled about two hours before the flight was to take off. Arranging a substitute new ticket on American cost me more than $680 - Spirit was offering an unacceptable replacement flight which would have been 2 days after the cancellation. Then, Spirit offered ONLY $50 as a coupon - instead of refunding the nearly $200 paid for the cancelled flight (or the actual damage of +$680). After I argued with Spirit they agreed to refund the cost of their ticket to LAX. END RESULT - Hours were lost due to Spirit delays and the flight cancellation, inconvenience was endured and more than $500 was lost. Very bad life flight experience.
Cons: The plane was late to arrive the monitors we're showing the delay, the gate assistant still said it was on time and online was saying ontime. Once boarded , unless you pay extra for seat you are cramped in the smallest, most uncomfortable seat that does not recline. Although the base price was cheaper it was more expensive to check baggage, and everything is add on price including water. Plus if you didn't check in ahead online there is a charge and you have to pre pay for bags because it is $50 per bag at airport. Will never fly with them again. Worth the extra money for another airline.
Pros: The crew was nice and I didn't get "taken out". They were good.
Cons: The seats were uncomfortable. Most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on (first time with spirit, coincidence?) and the jerk couple in the first class seats in front of me, cause me at 6 foot got put behind first class, kept their seats reclined the whole way back the whole time. It was awful. I had zero leg room. Cramped legs the whole time. Couldn't sleep on the red eye flight because of it. I hate you spirit. Never seen a flight have seats right behind the only damn reclining seats in the whole plane.
Cons: Will never fly Spirit airlines again. First flight was cancelled, return flight was delayed by almost 2 hours. I waited at the ticketing desk for 3+ hours (while on hold with customer service on my cell phone). Never had my call answered and also did not ever get to the counter for my refund. HORRIBLE experience, worst customer service ever. A total inconvenience, I had to rearrange all my travel plans, incurring many additional expenses and also book a different outgoing flight at a higher cost in order to get to my destination. Also, the flight seems cheaper but then they gouge you by charging for your seat and also for your carry on. Not any cheaper in the end. NEVER AGAIN.
Pros: not much...will not travel again on Spiritl
Cons: 1) Seats not comfortable to sleep, no push back (was on red eye flight) 2) Delayed coming back from Vegas 3) I was trying to select a seat next to my friend and had to pay for getting seats together 4) Pay for every possible service (glad i don't have to pay for bathroom as of now) and not as cheap ticket to Vegas. 5) Felt like being treated like school kid (disciplined) when read about how baggage fares change with time to $100 @ gate. (too much). Too much to worry when I want a pleasure travel... 6) I will never travel on spirit for more than 2 hr flight time and that too when i have a great deal (that compensates for seats, luggage etc.,)
Cons: They have hidden fees that Kayak is not telling you when you buy their tickets. They chrged me $57 just for small carryon bag and then you have to pay for the seat separately to board the plane. What is your ticket for? Reason to get to airpirt and ready yourself to pay what ever they ask. One has to pay additional fees to get boarding pass.....
Pros: The staff was very polite knowledgeable and always smiled and some joked with made the flight a pleasure.
Cons: I didn't know that the bag check was 40 pounds most are 50. I booked though a 2nd party and was not informed about having to pick a seat and the you had to pay for a carry on. They do not tell you about this be for you check out and also if you booking for 2 you may not be together on the flight unless you. pay before hand and then pick your seat. Also when looking for a phone umber on the web site and you hit contact us it sends you to the help and doesn't not show a phone number to talk to a person. The flight was good. I don't think that you should have to pay extra to make sure you are next to your family when traveling
Pros: Even though every flight I've taken with them has been delayed by an hour, they are fast to get everyone on board and quick to take off. I did like how they slowly came up with the lights upon landing I stead of abruptly turning them on like other airlines.
Cons: The price of the flight is misleading, by the time you're finished paying for luggage, seat selection, and BUYING a coffee or water, etc. I Should have just gone with another higher class airline. The seats were extremely uncomfortable, the trays are positioned too low, so they aren't good to rest on and the chairs don't recline. Both flights were extremely cold, delayed by an hour and overbooked so they were having difficulties seating. I wouldn't suggest using spirit unless you are on a quick flight [under 1 hour and a half] for a short trip that only necessitates a personal bag.
Pros: Comfort, clean seats
Cons: Fare cheap but all the 'musts'made it more than any other airline: $9 Online fee; $25 kiosk fee (which didn't work and had to pay $50 fee to check in with clerk; had to check bag approved for under seat/carry on (12"c12") and since kiosk didn't work, charged $60 for 1st bag, even though I paid $60 for a 'first checked bag' and 2nd bag should hAve been cheaper. It was TSA agent who told me I would be required to check the bag by Spirit as it didn't meet carry on criteria and if I didn't check now, would be $100 at gate. I told her that I was traveling back with same TSA approved (and Spirit online rules) and she became rude and rejected my bag (and did a complete body search) so, I was forced to check the bag or miss my flight. I asked her and the Spirit clerk (3) if this was a TSA/ Spirit racket with kickbacks for TSA and/or Spirit and NOT on of them laughed, smiled, or denied this question. Mever again will I fly Spirit airlines or recommend to anyone!
Cons: Everything! I made it through check in with a personal bag but when ready to board was told it was not a personal bag and I would need to pay $65 or surrender my bag! Needless to say I was not giving them another penny so the bag stayed. Employees are not friendly. I usually only fly southwest but unexpectedly had to fly a couple times within a 3 week period and was trying to save some $$$ so figured I give spirit a try but I guess you get what you pay for!!! NEVER AGAIN! I'd rather pay a little extra and be treated better! NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION! BY THE TIME I GOT DONE WITH ALL THE FEES I COULD'VE FLOWN SOUTHWEST!
Pros: Our flight was delayed and then cancelled. There was one woman who was helpful in customer service when I arrived at the airport. I explained that I had to change my flight recently and am 6.5 months pregnant. Because my travel was booked within 7 days of the original flight, I was charged a $90 fee to make the change even though I made the change within 2 hours of booking. I was not reimbursed the difference of the flights. I was instead given a voucher to use within 60 days for the difference minus the $90 fee. I sent to online requests to customer service requesting contact because I am pregnant and will likely not be up for travel for several months. I got no response. The customer service rep who helped my friend and I book a replacement flight when our flight was cancelled was great and did his best with a sense of humor. It was obvious all of the staff did their best but were honest about the limits they had in being helpful: we waited in flux for an hour to find out if the cancellation was confirmed after being delayed for several hours. It was made clear that the replacement flight had to be within the range of the cost of the original ticket. Spirit ticket costs are completely misleading because of fees added for carry on bags, printing a ticket, water on the plane, etc. People tried their best but the set up including the website feel like an intentional scam.
Pros: The airport personal was very nice and helpful.
Cons: I have never been a such an uncomfortable plane. I had to take off my sweat shirt to sit on. There was no padding on the seat and the seat were very tight.
Cons: I could not even get to Myrtle Beach because of the hurricane the weekend before my return flight was scheduled. They would not even consider a refund when I tried to reach them on Monday, October 10th.First of all their Customer Service was in the Philippines and had no idea of conditions here. All he kept saying was that weather would have to interfere with my flight and the fact that I was not even in Myrtle Beach did not enter into the discussion. I will try to avoid flying Spirit in the future.
Cons: I spent a lot of time troubleshooting my entire experience with Spirit Airlines from start to finish. Kayak makes purchasing a ticket easy. However, after you get the bulk of my money, things change drastically. Spirit Airlines is deceptive – they trick you into thinking you have a good deal buying a ticket. Then you end up spending money on things you don’t normally have to pay for making it even more expensive than a normal airline AND it’s a much more annoying experience. My first problem was trying to purchase bags a few days before my flight. Spirit’s website consistently gives me an error after I put in my payment, and this isn’t the first time. I figured out after two error messages that their site doesn't play nicely with Chrome's autofill. On my third attempt, it told me I had bags but that I couldn’t print my boarding pass unless I called customer service. Calling Spirit’s customer service hotline was the most bizarre, irritating, and time-consuming experience I've ever had. They are clearly trying to frustrate people and make it difficult for them to reach an actual human being. They even state that explicitly. When I did finally reach a human being, she was shouting at me like a drunk person and I found her to be patronizing. You should know that at the end of the conversation, she read her good-bye script and hung up on me without waiting for my response. Classy. For my return trip from Fort Lauderdale, I arrived two hours before my departure yesterday morning at 6AM and was directed to stand in an obscenely long line that OUTSIDE in TERMINAL 4 in the DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA WHERE PASSENGERS ARE DROPPED OFF. We are forced to stand in line and inhale exhaust from cars and cigarette smoke from the smokers smoking in the designated smoking area AND the exhaust from cars. I have asthma and have been experiencing issues all day. It is obviously irresponsible and unthoughtful Spirit to place customers in a designated smoking area as they wait to check in but IT IS ALSO ILLEGAL. I am without health insurance and if I require medical attention to restore normal breathing patterns, I will be asking Spirit Airlines to cover that expense. I would like a full refund from Spirit Airlines.
Pros: I am puzzled about how can I get the receipt of the tickets. would you please tell me by email? My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you very much!
Cons: We were surprised to learn that our trip would cost an extra $100 as a penalty for bringing carry-on luggage. $52 for a checked bag and $55 for a carry-on. We were then repeatedly shown playful messages reminding us that we would have saved money if we had only paid for them earlier online. For our four hour and fifty four minute flight, no complimentary drinks or snacks were provided, not even water, though there were drinks for sale. Thankfully we had packed our own snacks. We felt kind of scammed with the bags. And the whimsical marketing style was insulting. Spirit Airlines apparently wants to be relatable and hip, but the actual flight experience was stingy and alienating. They did get us to our destination though.
Pros: I LOVE the smooth ride of the flight. No turbulence
Cons: I was not informed by text the flight was delayed. 3 hours. ILearn Once I arrived before 5:30 p.m. . The flight is delayed until 9:03 p.m. . They kept telling the passengers. It was a severe storm in Philadelphia... I have several other workers stated we were bumped. Because of a mechanical problem with another plane. I check back with family in the Philadelphia area. It did not storm nor rain. So spirit customer service told untruths. As per company overhead. The aircraft was extremely crowded. Crying babies. Adults who did not take a bath. Overall disgusting for my first time ever flying with Sprint. What a lasting impression
Pros: as a flight it was fine.
Cons: the charge for seat, without explanation the carry on charge, or the unclear explanation on the web as to how Spirit charges for bags it overall seemed as if the base flight price was baiting, and then during the process Spirit would tack on multiple charges and end up being the same price as all the other major airlines. no TSA pre Check I was discouraged by the seemingly deceptive pricing and webpage layout as to pricing. It just doesn't seem overly honest (it was honest though) the presentation seemed to veil the true prices as if Spirit won't be up front with who they are as an Airline or what they REALLY charge.
Cons: having to pay $55 for my CARRY on. they canceled the flight and never told me. they put me on another flight without confirming it worked with my schedule. They had 2 people at the airport dealing with customers after canceling all flights out of Philadelphia. They should have had A LOT more! Everyone was rude. the air plane was extremely uncomfortable. no food, no water. you have to pay for EVERTHNING! i'll never be flying Spirit again. I should have listened to everyone when they told me not to.
Cons: My flight kept getting delayed, and ultimately cancelled. For some reason Spirit did not feel the need to just let passengers know the status of the aircraft so that they could make other arrangements. I had to fly into a different city, rent a car, and drive home 2 hours (after sitting in an airport with no idea what was going on with my flight for approximately 6 hours). For my troubles? A $50 voucher for an airline I will NEVER fly again. No reimbursement. No nothing. And the kicker? It was entirely on Spirit. It was a maintenance issue. Absolutely horrible.
Cons: Crew didn't inspire confidence. Sign on outside of plane visible when boarding about having the youngest crew in the industry--I'd prefer an experienced crew, not a young one. Dog on the flight, won't frequent airlines that allow this. Flight attendants didn't check seatbelts or luggage compartments. Flight attendants chatting to each other rather than greeting customers like it was a job at the mall. NO BAG DROP OFF LINE. Although I paid SO MUCH for baggage and opted to get a mobile boarding pass (which they wouldn't have accepted... in 2016), I had to wait on line with people who hadn't yet printed their boarding passes (and COULDN"T because the machines were down). If I hadn't gotten to the airport earlier than I needed to, I might've missed my flight on a day when air traffic was already backed up.
Cons: Since I ordered through kayak I wasn't allowed to add additional bags. This cost me quite a bit more money. Then I called prior to online booking and the customer service agent was horrible. Deceived me into to pay more money for bags. She was also very rude and not helpful at all. This was a horrible experience. I am not even going into the flight. I was seated next to someone that was probably close to 400 pounds. He spent most of the time in my seat. Now I am sympathetic to obese people but Spirit should have placed him in one of the two seater rows or something like that. It was an absolute miserable experience.
Cons: I did not like the fact that I get to the airport , lines were crazy the spirit staff in the airport were very rude. I went to pay for my baggage a staff member pulled me out of line and said no you need a boarding pass first so I go get my boarding pass at the kiosk then I go to pay for my bags and the person wanted to charge me $55 dollars for a carry on bag ( now this flight...all of the over head compartments were empty that should tell you something right there that your airline is a rip off) I said I thought they were $35 she said oh that's before you get a boarding pass, so your employees in the airport are setting your customers up so they have to pay more I would love a response email@example.com I have never had any issues with any other airlines I could keep writing about everything even to how nasty the flight attendants were unless something is done and I am compensated in some way I will never fly spirit again after this trip and will make sure my company never books a flight for any employee on spirit
Pros: Overall it was a mediocre experience, but none of the airlines make flying an enjoyable experience anymore... Service on Spirit was below some airlines, but overall it was OK.
Cons: SPirit's lack of honesty and disclosure about their fees and policies. The tag line of "Less Money, More Go" is totally false advertising. By the time I completed my return flight, this trip cost me about $100 more than other airlines because of their seat fees, bag fees, up-charges... they even charge for you taking your own carry on onto the plane! What's next? Charging for breathing while in-flight?? Overall I will not be using Spirit again, and I will not recommend Spirit to my friends or my company.\ Mike Gibbore
Cons: Am a retired disabled vet and was to on my only trip for the year. I arrived for my flight 2 hrs in advance but i travel with a portable oxygen machine. I was refused boarding because I didn't have the correct letter from a doctor saying I was auth to fly on Spirit Air Lines. I am treated by the VA and they pay for the POC for me to be able to fly. I called the airline about a refund and was refused a refund because the flight had already left. I told them i was denied on the flight, but that was not an excuse. If i didn't do what is correct, I accept that, but not to give a refund is wrong. I have told everyone on Social media to be aware
Cons: Both times cancelled
Cons: Here's the feedback that I left on the Spirit satisfaction survey when they asked me why I will not recommend their airline to even my worst enemy: After my cancelled flight experience yesterday, I can say with complete confidence that I will NEVER EVER fly or recommend that anyone fly spirit airlines again. The primary reason is a complete lack of concern for my situation as demonstrated by 1) inadequate and incorrect communication of flight status. The departure status boards at the airport all showed my flight as "ONTIME" up until 20 minutes prior to scheduled boarding. It was simply by chance that I was reviewing my email while waiting for dinner before the flight that I discovered that my flight was either "delayed or cancelled", with no further information available. There was no one at the spirit gate to answer this question either. A phone call to spirit airlines led me to someone in India who did not speak very good English and was very difficult to understand, who finally informed me that the flight was cancelled, but the good news was that there is another scheduled in TWO DAYS. After making my way to the ticketing desk, I find an angry mob of former passengers who were not getting any assistance from the spirit staff. 2) No assistance provided following the cancellation. The obviously untrained simply yelled at the mob that there is nothing they could do. We were told that there is another flight tomorrow morning from NYC, but we would have to find our own transportation and lodging for the night. No assistance with finding a flight on another airline, no assistance with finding a hotel, no assistance with anything. Period. We were on our own. End of story. 3) Inadequate compensation. It cost me $600 for a flight back to WPB, which is as close as I could get to FLL. Then another $50 for transportation from PBI to FLL to retrieve my vehicle. What compensation was offered by spirit? A free flight to replace the cancelled one? Nope. 50 bucks is all that is offered, along with an email that says "sorry". I'm surprised it didn't say "sorry 'bout your luck, SUCKER!" Well you can take your 50 bucks and shove it. Did I answer your question adequately???
Cons: Flight to Philadelphia was actually very good but our flight back to Fort Lauderdale was cancelled during the airport check-in process!!!!!! This is the second time that this has happened to us. Previous time was about 6 years ago when Spirit decided to give our entire flight to the flight that was scheduled just prior to ours which was cancelled!!!!! They just left us high and dry for no other reason than they were accommodating the prior flight!!!! We decided then to NEVER use Spirit again But, we were hearing good things about Spirit and connections were good. Got home but cost $600.00 vx $150 credit from Spirit - NEVER NEVER NEVER WILL FLY SPIRIT AGAIN!!!!
Pros: The one flight attendant who really should be working for a better airline...the others totally clueless
Cons: Cramped seats, no legroom even for a short person...and I'm 6'4" I've tried the big front seat....super uncomfortable.. also the exit row...a joke. On one of the newer aircraft there was legroom but the seats are as hard as rocks. Spent most of the flight on my feet... customer service from ground and flight crew sucks...I guess u get what u pay for...I suppose travelers are going to have to equate cheap fares with less than optimal service. since that's the case with spirit I'd rather pay more elsewhere for comfort, peace of mind and great service. I had said before that I would never fly spirit ever, and gone back on my word for this last flight....and here we are again. Will never put myself or my spouse through this agony ever again. Whether it's $80 or $500, it's my hard earned money and you do not deserve any of it!!
