Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Clean airplane"
Cons: "They could serve at least water"
Cons: "Cabin was very warm and seat is very uncomfortable. The person in front had chair reclined and putting the screen very close to face. Hardly any room to move with person's chair reclined as well."
Pros: "Nothing. As sucks."
Cons: "Planes auck. Terminal suxks."
Cons: "Air conditioning wa not working. We were in a hub why wasn't the plane switched."
Pros: "Crew was professional and accommodating, everything went smooth and quickly"
Cons: "Get rid of commuter jets."
Pros: "The crew was friendly, the seats were comfortable, no complaints about the flight."
Cons: "We got to the gate and I had to use the bathroom, we waited for the jet bridge to be place but there was a malfunction. I had to get up despite the plane not parked at the gate."
Pros: "Nice big plane, new technology"
Cons: "When landing in LAX we were unloaded far from anything and loaded into buses and taken to the terminal. It was like a weird sci-fi movie LOL."
Cons: "Commuter jet—no comfort. No jetway, we were on airplane stairs."
Cons: "No boarding by zone."
Cons: "More turbulent than usual"
Pros: "The crew was very nice and the flight attendant so helpful. We travelled with our 3 kids, one in a diaper. When we realized we left our diaper bag at security in the airport, he offered to help us find a diaper by asking other passengers with kids. They were very generous with diapers and wipes and it wasn’t great to experience the kindness of strangers."
Cons: "We couldn’t get the free in flight entertainment. The WiFi wasn’t strong enough. The snacks were fine, but looking back I don’t think there was any food offered for sale."
Pros: "The Seats have a nice width and a nice forward-to-back pitch. They're also brand-new upholstery. Very nice"
Cons: "American Airlines concourse in Charlotte is awful. Standing room only, and under construction. No power outlets in the plane."
Pros: "Was on time"
Cons: "Food, seat"
Pros: "Let's see - I was in first class. The flight itself was fine - and only one hour + late!"
Cons: "Food - Served the "breakfast" (when it was called a protein plate) I had coming (into MSP). for "lunch" on the way back (called it a meat plate for lunch. One slice turkey, one slice jamon, one egg, cinnamon roll and fruit. Just because they don't want to serve bread - they call it a protein plate? I'm not on a protein diet. Food was pretty sick for the amount I paid for the fight. Stewardess said it was against Republic's rules to give a customer a can of tonic water (so I could add to the small amount of vodka) - she also told me that it was against Delta's, American's and United's rules to give a can - strange? First Class seat did not recline. First Class was freezing per every flight on this segment (the stewardesses sit in the back and don't want to be uncomfortable - if they make the front warm - the back is too hot for them (not joking on this one). So many things to list - that I will finish on the AA site."
Pros: "Short flight."
Cons: "The gate area was way too crowded. No seats available for over three gates over, and then the announcement for boarding was made with a very lousy microphone...."
Pros: "Stairs cause me tremendous pain due to a 4 year misdiagnosed ruptured SI joint. Usually, we have no way of knowing that our flight will end with a downstairs walk rather than a ramp. I emailed American Airlines last week but hadn’t gotten a response yet so when they announced that we would exit by stairs, I was almost in tears as I gathered my belongings. To my surprise, American Airlines had a ramp for us to use. I don’t know it it was a coincidence or if they responded that quickly knowing I was on the plane through todays’s technology. I will be a fan and a customer forever."
Cons: "On time, loaded quickly, ramp access to exit the plane."
Cons: "Our connecting flight to New Orleans was cancelled and we had to rent a car or wait until the next flight out which was 5pm the next day. We opted to rent a car and Had to cancel our return flight home to be refunded. American Airlines cancelled multiple flights and were in total disarray. Still waiting to see if they will honor the refund"
Pros: "Efficient and on time! Courteous and professional travel assistants. Nice job. Nice new planes too!"
Cons: "Traveling as family of 5 - booked tickets two months ahead and we did not sit together despite me selecting seats when I booked. They were cheap seats so I can’t complain too much but felt that could have been accomplished given the advance booking."
Pros: "We are safe"
Cons: "Late. I am still on the plane. Did not seem to matter we were late."
Cons: "Every leg of my journey was frought with issues. From weather delays to maintenance issues. The biggest issue I have is that invariably when I fly American, if I go through Charlotte, is on the whole inconvenient. It takes way to Long to get to a gate when you land. And while everyone is apologetic, I would prefer they didn't have to be."
Cons: "The Avianca flight was canceled a month ago, and kayak failed to notify me."
Pros: "The plane was comfortable, and the stewardesses were friendly. The plane was not full, so it was easy to get board and deboard, the toilets were clean with no lines, and the entertainment was top notch."
Pros: "Got two seats to myself."
Cons: "I don't even know who our flight attendants were. Did we have them? Isn't that a requirement?? Guy in seat in front of me was super rude (yes, I know it's not the airline's fault.). Terrible turbulence (again, not AA's fault)."
Pros: "The crew was professional and friendly"
Cons: "No individual movie screen. Entertainment bad for an international flight. I paid for selected seats but did not receive, instead our family was scattered about the plane."
Pros: "Movies online you had is always awesome"
Cons: "Space on planes are ridiculous"
Cons: "I received an electronic boarding pass but still was required to go thru a security check to get a paper boarding pass, and then had to go stand in the original line again. Aircraft was dated. Audio for th in flight was bad. Poor experience overall."
Pros: "Getting home on time"
Cons: "not enough leg room"
Cons: "Food, beverages, service"
Pros: "Comfortable and smooth"
Pros: "The flight attendants were very nice and helpful and the flight was smooth as expected."
Cons: "Nothing the airlines caused. I would however like to know if the plane will have screens and plugs on the plane before hand. Our flight coming had it and our flight home didn't and my phone was dead :-("
Pros: "Huge clean plane"
Cons: "Cramped seats"
Cons: "it was an hour late"
Pros: "Nothing in particular. They got me there."
Cons: "The usual stuff. Uncomfortable. Worse than riding a bus."
Cons: "Having my 5am oneway flight cancelled 3 hrs before flight time resulting in rebooking with layover and tripple the time it would have taken to get to my destination"
Pros: "Pilot did good job in tricky conditions at landing."
Cons: "Wish food were served."
Pros: "Started when 7 am flight from Knoxville was delayed - multiple times until finally at 4 PM there were no options. Nobody with AA saying a single word all this time even when asked. Finally called their customer service line only to learn that I could get on another flight that left in a few minutes. Door was still open but gate agent argued with the lady on 800 line about who could ticket faster. By time they finished arguing the door closed. That began a 14 hour nightmare of bumping between flights and delays and the inevitable lost luggage. Paid for $300 hotel room at Vancouver that I will get to stay in for 4 hours. Will NEVER fly American again"
Cons: "Service, poor rebooking process, lack of communication."
Pros: "The flight was tip top and the flight attendants made all the difference! Going out of the way to brew fresh coffee!! Huge"
Pros: "The crew relax and smile"
Cons: "very small seats"
Cons: "No volé en LATAM si no en AA y en esta compañía al principio no sabían sobre mi reserva y cuando si, no pude hacer el checking online, sino solo en el aeropuerto , en ambos vuelos"
Cons: "My outbound flight to Manila had an overnight layover in Japan. I asked at the luggage check-in at O'Hare International Airport if they can check it all the way through as I had planned to go outside of the Narita airport for the layover. They told me I couldn't check the luggage all the way through and that I had to pick it up from baggage claim once I land in Narita. From there I had to check-in the luggage again on the same day. When I took my luggage out from baggage claim, I tried to check-in and the counter crew told me I was given wrong information. I had to keep my luggage with me until my flight the following day. On my return flight from Manila and another overnight layover in Narita, the check-in crew at NAIA told me I could check-in my luggage all the way through, and that they also allowed this at my outbound flight to Manila. The check-in crew at O'Hare International Airport gave me wrong information."
Pros: "Excellent customer service and great inflight meal."
Cons: "Not knowing the cause of the delay."
Pros: "Swift boarding."
Pros: "Movies and on time departure and arrival"
Cons: "Crazy uncontrolled child in row across from us."
Cons: "Prices, of course. No one wants to pay the prices. My company is small and we check pricing all the time."
Pros: "All flights were on time and the flight each way was very quick."
Pros: "On time arrival"
Cons: "Complimentary snacks"
Pros: "The flight are crew were amazing though! Food was surprisingly good as well."
Cons: "The entertainment was kind of bad compared to other international flights I went on. You weren't really able to watch what you wanted and it wasn't the best experience."
