KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Kuala Lumpur Intl Airport to Madrid

  • There are currently no direct flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and Madrid Airport (MAD), but there are flights with one stop. Qatar Airways offers a flight that stops over in Doha, while Emirates offers an alternative that stops in Dubai.
  • Kuala Lumpur International Airport has two terminals that are in use, but the majority of national and international flights come in and out of the main terminal, which is known as KLIA, in the main building. We suggest that you take care when booking your flights to check your terminal, because there is another terminal called KLIA 2, which is about 1 km from terminal one. Flights that leave and arrive at KLIA 2 are normally from the lower cost airlines that operate in southeast Asia.
  • There are quite a few options to consider when travelling from Madrid-Barajas Airport to the city centre. The faster way to travel is probably on the metro, while a slower one is the bus. Taxis are convenient, and there are plenty of taxi ranks outside the airport, but it is the more expensive option available. Taking the train can vary in price, but it is generally cheap and relatively fast.

Chaos at the gate while boarding - no clear signs or announcements

Always enjoyed flying with Emirates, flown with others but they don't really measure up. The others are cheaper without a doubt, but not as good as Emirates

The crew were absolutely fantastic. They actively asked if passengers wanted refills and if they were comfortable. I was extremely impressed.

Child’s meal was great along with other nice touches for kids.

Both flights to and back from Lyon with buses taking extra time and delaying flight at DXB. Food serving needed work.

The journey was nice, all the crews were very good and services are excellent

I take emirates because of direct flights Otherwise no Cabin crew niot friendly and never friendly across the airlines Planes old inside not renewd .. this is not an issue The issue is the poor service

Crew were very good. Food service was a little slow and disappointing not having on demand dining and only 3 options. Amenity kits and pyjamas were excellent.

No kids provided. Instead we were told to have contacted the airline that we have kids and require kids meals. We were not the only ones who inquired about kids meals. It’s odd. Emirates and other airlines give kids meals as standard and before the adult food comes out. The rice in our meals was gluggy and under cooked. The chicken was also raw. Sadly not the best experience with Finn Air. The hostesses tried to compensate with the snacks and drinks but missed the mark by a long way. Especially when paying Emirates/Qantas prices

The staff on board were excellent. Kind, thoughtful, helpful - not just with me but with others around that I observed. Wonderful service.
