Cons: "As I came into the airport I went to a kiosk to check in and the attendant at the kiosk basically took over my passport and started pushing buttons that I never asked her to push. I eventually got my boarding passes only to find I wasn’t assigned a seat for the first flight and I will get it later at the gate. After getting through security my name was called for a extra security screening which I thought was interesting since I have Global Entry and am an American citizen. Weird. Because my name was called I had to get to the gate early. Upon arriving to the gate the gate agent confirmed I have extra security screening and she would assign my seat soon. After waiting some time she assigned me to a middle seat in the last row of the plane! After boarding someone came and sat next to me that was overweight and should have been charged for 2 seats. With such a long flight it’s the least American can do."

Cons: "British Airways had too tight of connections on flights that we purchased and then they ran late. Because of this, we had to rebook both going to Europe and coming back. Our friends were then charged extra luggage fees when being put on a domestic flight back home after going through customs. It will be difficult for me to want to use British Airways again because of all the flight change notifications we got before traveling and then once we did actual travel."

The staff on the plane missed our row when offering drinks near the end of the flight and were not careful about bumping elbows and shoulders as they frequented the aisle. Also couldn't sit by my family which was a huge bummer."

While standing in line, my husband found out it was not canceled, but they were boarding the plane. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was able to get our bags checked. No American Airlines employee would help us. They just said to go back to the end of the line. The porter called the gate to have the plane wait for us. American Airlines DISCRIMINATES especially against the elderly!"

Because our connecting flight left milwaukee over an hour late, we had no time to even grab a sandwich, no problem we will buy food on the plane. Wrong! The food is was gone so quickly that by the time they got to us, they were out of everything. Oh did I mention we also had 3 children ages 2, 7, and 9. Oh yes and the entertainment? Small screens mounted on the ceiling of the plane. How about updating your equipment?? Plane was old. No USB to charge your phone and stream from their App. Terrible. We own a 2nd home in Maui and travel there twice per year. Looking at other options."

The crew seemed to work very well together, I could sense a great harmony between them that really put all of us passengers at ease. I am quick to complain about US carriers and have had some awful experiences flying US airline companies, so feel the need to really compliment this crew. If other United flights are like this, I will definitely fly them again."

Cons: "Our flight finally landed on the 3rd try. First time, the plane came in too high. Medford is my home, so I could tell this just from the approach. Second time, there was still another plane on the runway, and the tower called us off. Multiple passes at the runway do not inspire a passenger's confidence in the ability of the pilot. Plus it tends to make one a bit nauseous!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed by weather but still on time for us to make our connection. But boarding was delayed. Finally, the gate agent announced that they were repairing an overhead bin door. This took approximately twice the announced estimated time. Even so, we arrived at the gate with enough time to make the connection, which was 4 gates away. Did the crew ask people to let those with close connections get out first? No. Did the crew or gate agent communicate to other gates that we had arrived? No. We got to our connecting gate 6 minutes before the scheduled departure. They had closed the door and would not board us. Two people from our plane made it to the connection, so they knew we were coming. But 5 of us who were seated a little further back arrived minutes later. We made it onto a later flight. We also adopted an elderly passenger in a wheelchair, who would have been left by himself at the next gate for 3 hours by United if we had not taken him with us. We all got on the next flight, but only with some work."

Everyone around me was trying to open their air vents to get more cool air and/or fanning themselves. I asked the flight attendant about it and he said that the plane was just old and it would cool off eventually. It did, about 20 minutes before they cut the air down again for landing. By the time I got off the plane I was nauseated from the heat and stale air. It will be a long time before I fly United again if this is any indication of the condition of their planes."
