Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Seat space"
Cons: "Delayed three hours with no communication or compensation. Poor customer service"
Cons: "Person in front of me had seat reclined from take off to landing. Nobody checked. Nobody told him it had to be upright during takeoff and landing. I believe that is a safety issue. Isn’t that why the flight attendants are there?"
Cons: "Better communication about handicap persons. I called twice and notified two people about my mom and her wheelchair but no one tells the gate to put a ramp up to the regional jet on the tarmac. Three ring circus as usual ."
Pros: "Arrived early. Friendly pilot."
Cons: "Attendant did not offer snack choice."
Pros: "Crew friendly and accommodating, even on short flight"
Cons: "Good - no complaints."
Cons: "Bag check fee is steep for students."
Cons: "6 hour mechanical delay"
Cons: "First flight delayed 45 min, then cancelled. 2nd flight 3 hrs later."

Pros: "My connecting flight from london arrived late and the crew made sure i made it onto the flight to stl even though I barely made it to the gate on time."
Pros: "Clean, Friendly flight attendant"
Cons: "I don’t understand how a brief meaning less than 30 minutes thunderstorm can cause a five hour delay. Every time I take the route from DCA to STL American is always really late"
Pros: "crew was pleasant"
Pros: "My flight was fine - I paid for a Premium Seat, which also allowed me a premium boarding position, which I highly recommend for anyone flying. The seat was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and I really liked the in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "At the DFW security post for my gate, there was NO TSA-pre. That service stops at 7pm. I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. Just getting to keep my shoes on, while having to drag all my electronics and liquids out, take my coat and belt off, etc. is not acceptable. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"
Pros: "Great pilot. Outstanding control over the plane. Arrived an hour and a half before originally forecasted three days prior."
Cons: "Flight was delayed almost two hours due to crew staffing issues."
Pros: "Flight crew very friendly."
Cons: "Everything was as expected. 1 star on entertainment as there was none. Would have liked to have been able to get 3 seats together without extra charges."
Cons: "It was nice. And boarding was good too."
Pros: "This flight is the normal nonstop from Mia to StL. The seating is tight but not completely uncomfortable."
Cons: "I just had knee replacement 4 1/2 months ago. It was difficult to fully extend my leg under the seat in front of me because the space between rows has shrunk to include more seating."
Cons: "the fly got delayed for more than 3 hours."
Cons: "There was just an announcement that the refreshments will be served shortly but there were no refreshments. Take off and landing was horrible. Flight was shaking way more than usual."
Pros: "It was easy to travel"
Cons: "Too many delays. Having to de-board after boarding."
Cons: "Plane was not board on time. Delayed taking off."
Pros: "The middle seat was empty I had an aisle seat. That was wonderful."
Cons: "No wifi screens for books or movies but I had my iPhone."
Pros: "Easy and customer service at lax was awesome and very helpful!!!"
Cons: "The 45 minute bag time that's it may or may not be able to go 45 mins within boarding ."
Pros: "This was the same crew and pilot from the flight I took to LAX. His landing was so smooth, I woke up pleasantly upon landing!"
Pros: "Great staff."
Cons: "The hour delay due to maintenance and fueling."
Pros: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."
Cons: "Food, attitude of flight attendants, comfort of cabin. Pilot took charge of thermostat issue and kept us informed in a friendly manner regarding the status of our take off and flight progress."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Boarding numbers"
Pros: "My neighbor."
Cons: "We sat on the tarmac for over an hour for no apparent reason."
Cons: "Seemed to be an unnecessary delay in departing a half hour late"
Cons: "I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."
Cons: "Both flights delayed. A six and a half hour drive took nine and a half hours by air."
Cons: "Forced to check my carry on. Took 30min for the bags to come out on the carousel. Which is why i never check my bag."
Pros: "Speedy boarding"
Cons: "Unmotivated crew, uncomfortable seats."
Pros: "We boarded fast and the flight was smooth. The crew was very friendly."
Cons: "The sears were a little uncomfortable. They went terrible but my back started to go out on my 2 hour plans ride."
Pros: "very friendly staff"
Pros: "Nothing to expect from Domestic fight."
Cons: "Boarding was chaotic, with people sitting in wrong seats and walking the wrong way down the plane. Crew were not especially friendly. I know it was at the tail end of a long Sunday, but it wasn't impressive."
Pros: "Plane was ancient"
Pros: "Good"
Pros: "Entertainment, 110 plugins for devices, internet."
Cons: "only free meal option was cinnamon cookies."
Pros: "All flights were on time Greatly enjoyed the trip"
Cons: "Attempted to make my connection which was in another terminal. Could not get onboard as they shut the doors. My rerouted flight was in a different terminal. Overall a very disappointing travel experience."
Pros: "It took off on time and life was good."
Pros: "The plane has improved greatly with their comfort and leg space"
Cons: "With checking my luggage my bag fee was waived a total of seven times this trip because I'm a military wife to see my husband overseas who is serving a year in Saudi Arabi except this past time on October 2nd at DCA airport. Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."
Pros: "The people"
Cons: "The seats are too small I'm 6'1 and that's not that tall"
Pros: "Overall very good"
Cons: "Nothing specific"
