Pros: "I love the small planes and the overall friendliness of the pilot and the other employees - reservationists, ground crew, and others in the terminal. Once I landed in Nantucket, I had a 1 1/2 hour layover to Hyannis. When I went to check in with the reservationist, she asked if I wanted to get to Hyannis faster or if I had business on the island. I said I would like to get to Hyannis as quickly as I could, so she put me on the next flight which left within 15 minutes. After a long flight from LA to Boston, then to Nantucket, and then to Hyannis, it was nice to get home earlier than expected. I live on the Cape, and I love that I can fly into Hyannis. Then I only have a 25 minute ride home."

Cons: "At the Nantucket airport, they don't let you through security until your flight is called. I heard mine called and went up but the woman at the desk said she hadn't heard it so wouldn't let me through. Ten minutes later, I'm being paged over the intercom. Again, I wasn't let through until I tracked down someone from the airline. By the time I finally got through, my flight had gone and I needed to be rebooked. Incredibly frustrating as the intercom is the only way to know what's going on with your flight, so I couldn't look at a board or anything to know the status."

I collected my suitcase from the airport the next day. Of course, airplane safety is a must, but I saw others dealing with their luggage also having been "bumped". Traveling this way is unreliable and, for me, less than satisfactory."

We hit some turbulence which was pretty rough but not terrible. would have been nice to have arm rests. Also boarding and take off was late and which made me late to my appointments."

Cons: "Crew allows the first zones to place both their carryon and personal items in overhead storage, filling the bins before many travelers board the plane. We are then asked to check our bag, and are forced to put our 1 bag between our legs, whole many people stored two overhead. Flight was delayed a few minutes and time was not made up in air. Delta changed a few of our flights before we were even off the plane, while other passengers were allowed to keep their original flight (originally we all had the same connecting flight). Looks to me like they overbooked and pulled some of us randomly. Also, my checked bag was sent on wrong plane, and sat unattended at next airport for 2 hours."

Pros: "I could have flown United direct for about the same price - but chose to fly Delta via Atlanta because, well, it's DELTA. Delta's first class is really first class - it's more than just a bigger seat .... the staff from the counter to the cabin crew all treat you like you're a valued first class customer. The experience of flying today is mostly like being shoved into a subway train in Japan with no genuine gratitude for my patronage. Not with Delta - they really do go above and beyond and it is not lost on me."

Cons: "At the DFW security post for my gate, there was NO TSA-pre. That service stops at 7pm. I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. Just getting to keep my shoes on, while having to drag all my electronics and liquids out, take my coat and belt off, etc. is not acceptable. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"

Pros: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."

Cons: "I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."

I waited at the baggage carousel 15 minutes for my bag after over an hour delay due to switching aircrafts. With a flight arriving this late in the evening with the low volume of bags checked (due to checked luggage charges), this should not be the case. Five minutes to gulp down ginger ale."

Cons: "With checking my luggage my bag fee was waived a total of seven times this trip because I'm a military wife to see my husband overseas who is serving a year in Saudi Arabi except this past time on October 2nd at DCA airport. Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."

First we were told the flight was 20 minutes late, then 8 minutes late, then 40 minutes late, then 55 minutes late... Every time they told us the incoming flight was about to land."

Pros: "The young lady who was the flight attendant was very nice and tried to make a very bad situation somewhat bearable. There were a number of children on the flight that she was very attentive to. I hope united treats their employees better than they treat their passengers."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 4 hours. We were told to proceed to the United terminal in spite of the delay. There seemed to be no effort to inform or assist us. There was very little to do in this terminal but wait to see if our flight would eventually come. There were other United passengers in the terminal who were also waiting for overly delayed flights. eventually, we had a plane that was extremely small, cramped and uncomfortable. United seems to consistently oversell its seats and then tried to get people to give up their seats. Very poorly managed airline with bad customer service. Sadly, I have to say that I have never had an acceptable experience on a united flight. Will NOT take another United flight."

Cons: "Held up at check in because of understaffing. Long TSA line. When we finally got to gate wouldn't let us board. Then agent was extremely rude about putting us on a different flight. Have always flown Delta and am sorry I ever strayed. It will never happen again."

Cons: "airport gate lady would't let me run to the bathroom and quickly return for my checked carry-on for "security reasons." Then I heard about 4-5 people being paged to come pick up their checked carry-on luggage."

Pros: "Had to wait standby but got on the flight. Was very happy about that!!"

Cons: "There was no air circulating on the plane the entire flight. The plane was over 90 degrees when we got on. Everyone on the flight asked for the air to be on and we were told it was. No air was coming out of the vents. Horrible flight."

Cons: "The airline kept delaying and canceling the flights with little to no notification, resulting in people missing work, connecting flights, and other important situations. there weren't many employees working at the airport to assist the people who were in unfortunate situations involving the flight, including myself. Overall it was a poor experience flying with United airlines, but that won't stop me from future planning."

Cons: "Old cramped plane (EMB 135/145). Was dingy, dirty and smelled bad, no wi-fi or entertainment options. Very loud ride even though I was near the front far from the engines."

Pros: "It was a pleasant surprise to find out I had a choice of movies to watch on my iPhone. Be sure to install the United Airlines App so that you can take advantage of this service."
Cons: "We were among the last 10 people to board and with the small plane size we had to gate check bags, but not a big deal."

Cons: "If you can tell that overhead storage space is going to be full so much as to pass out the green tags to check at the gate, why not just insist upon it? Instead of making me walk all the way to the back of the airplane and then having to walk all the way back to the front with the bag. Not everyone is familiar with all of your procedures without any explanation for them."

Pros: "Nothing. I am stranded in an airport. Delayed nearly 14 hours. American airlines fixed the issue since united could not. Never again."
Cons: "Everything. I am stranded in an airport. My original flight was at 10:05pm. My new flight is at 11:45am. American airlines stepped up and helped me get a flight out earlier. I am now on a one stop flight instead of non stop, even though I paid for direct. Not very happy and will not use untied again."

Cons: "Delayed 2 hours because they had to change tires they didn't decide that until everyone was already on the plane then had to deboard counter people were very rude this airline is always delayed for something probably the worst airline ever"
