Crew was polite, but...

The flight attendants seemed unused to the idea that Orthodox Jews won't sit beside people of the opposite sex. This made boarding take longer than it needed to. The airline should figure out a way to streamline this process on flights to/from Tel Aviv.

The crew members were kind and friendly and went the extra mile to be helpful.

The entertainment screen was about 6 inches wide and there were only four movies to choose from (one that was older than the hills). The screen wasn't clear. Hard to believe that there was such poor technology for a flight from the U.S. to Europe. Also, there were no ports to charge phones or tablets which made it near impossible to watch entertainment on a phone or tablet due to low battery levels. The wi-fi was not strong. I typically like food on an airplane, but this food was not something to be enjoyed. I hope to not fly Brussels Airlines/United again. I'll stick with British Airways and American.

The phone, ground and flight crew, though impeccably polite at every turn, passed me from phone to service desk to gate for answers to questions about itinerary changes and seating upgrade until I just gave up. I tried changing my return flight to leave from London- that is, simply dropping the Newcastle/London leg, but went back and forth several times between you and the airline- then simply gave up, instead travelling back to Newcastle to then fly back to London. I then tried to change my seating assignment and the desk agent was unable to give any information about the cost of an upgrade. I finally found out that upgrades are to the cabin, not the seat so just stayed with my middle seat in coach for the 8.5 hour flight. It was puzzling that these issues were so impossible to resolve.

We left an hour late but were only 7 min late upon arrival.

I have a major problem with the fact that we passengers boarded the plane on time, expecting to depart on schedule, only to be forced to sit in our seats for nearly 90 minutes prior to actually taking off. While I appreciate that the pilots can make up for most of that lost time, it doesn’t make up for the fact that I’ve had to SIT captive for extra time on top of the what is already a long flight.

Ground staff at Manchester very helpful

Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros.

No hay un teléfono a donde hablar, la web está desactualizada y con información equivocada. Direccionan a usar canales de twitter y facebook que no responden. Primer experiencia en KLM y no pienso nunca más usar esta aerolínea. Llevar el equipaje o resolver un problema sobre valijas es de lo más básico de una aerolínea y no lo hacen.

12 of January, 2018 Dear Austrian Airlines authority, I address to your kind attention to asist me to get to me the hat qhich I lost on board of the flight 1576 when I arrived to Vienna airport on my way frpom JFK to Lwo. It happened because it was no room above my seat's bin and the steard helped me to get my heat in another bin. Unfortunately I forgot at the moment when I left the board of the plane, a minute later I reminded that I forgot my hat but I was not allowed to go back and get my hat. I tried to communicate with the Lot&Found office in Vienna airport as I had 2h40 minutes in connection time and it was enough time to get me back the hat, unfortunately nothing was really done from the airport staff to get me my hat and made to me possible continue traveling with my hat. I spoke to two managers, the name I could share with you if you need. The Found office registered my black hat and the plastic box under the number F2018/000682. In this situation I ask your offices to deliver my hat and the plastic box to Lviv airport as sson as possible as this is a special hat for my daily prayers. Once In London, we were told by British Airways that was flying us to Nice that Delta had “lost” our infant electronic ticket - It took 1.5h to get new ticket reissued! We missed our connection and had to wait 3 more hours for the next flight - We were somewhat lucky as multiple flights were delayed/cancelled that day - I will avoid using Virgin Atlantic in the future as they need Delta and British operate their flights and this makes it prone to issues like that

First the online check-in wasn't working on their website for days, because it kept saying error! Basically their website wasn't working! It slowed me down to have to check in at the airport when I should have been able to check in online. Upon boarding the plane, they made us wait in the shuttle bus for almost 30 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with the plane. Finally, they told us the aircraft was broken and they would take us back to the terminal. They made us wait in the shuttle bus (most of us standing) another 20 minutes before actually taking us back to the terminal. They didn't communicate with us what was going on. At the terminal, they still wouldn't tell us how long for our flight. Finally (2 hours past when we were supposed to depart), we were informed that our flight would depart in another 3 hours. They gave us 11 euros worth of food/drink vouchers but that's honestly not much. Just 1 sandwich/drink isn't filling at all considering we didn't end up departing until 6 hours later than our initial scheduled flight! Then the plane we got was incredibly cramped and small. The cabin storage bins were smaller than the plane we should have had. The crew gave us all 1 free snack (like chips/candy bar) and tea/water and were nice enough. But totally unacceptable experience overall!! Broken website, broken aircraft, and poor communication! And how do you not realize the plane is broken until right before it's supposed to depart??

The onboard crew were lovely.

Stood at check in for over 30 mins with no staff in sight. Boarding was a disaster. Staff was not prepared nor organized and the crowds were unbearable. Upgraded seats were laughable and not worth an extra $60. Food was mediocre. Entertainment would have been good but GE touchscreens are so old, they were difficult to work.

Not many good recent movies / shows on in flight entertainment. Food was okay. But, the quantity was too little. It took a really long time for a second boarding pass check at London airport. Other airlines don't usually ask for a second check in

Despite being on board for over 9 hours, we were only provided one meal. The one snack that was also provided was merely a snack size chocolate bar. I have been on plenty of shorter and similar length flighrs that provided a much more reasonable amount of food. This seems to be the result of BA cutting corners on customer service.

The crew were great

The meal served left much to be desired.

Crew were friendly and helpful. Mechanical problem delayed flight by an hour. Pilot and staff were helpful with updates. Kayak continue to have best prices that I can find.

In economy, meal out was a dried out pasta (or chicken) and arrival meal was a choice of candy bar or cookies! Eat before boarding or bring your own. The plane is well maintained and clean but just very old. Seems the in-flight entertainment is no longer updated monthly. If you fly a lot of long haul, this can be disappointing.
