Cons: "They cancelled my flight. I never flew home. I missed my little Sister's graduation. :o("

Cons: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

I was going to bring it to the attention of the crew after seatbelt sign was turned off, but once the flight was in the air, the noise of the plane/flight was so deafening that I could hear the music anymore, and neither would the crew if I had bought it to their attention."

If LaGuardia can't handle the traffic you should direct your clients elsewhere."

Cons: "When tavelling with a child, which is always identified at the time of booking by providing child's age, every other airline was able to accommodate seating together. Even at the lowest fare class. Not Westjet, their automatic computer seating assignment gave us seats in separate rows !! When asked at the checkin and also again at the gate, we were told that the fare class that we paid for does not allow seat changes. They simply would not seat a parent and a child together unless we paid extra $25/person to change seats. This kind of gauging for money was shocking. Especially when there were 3 other rows behind us with free seats together !! This was clearly a case of wanting more money. At the lowest fare class parents travelling with children can expect the child to be sitting separately from them. Or pay up more."

I’m not a fan of having to pay/rent an iPad for entertainment, and it was a bit cold for my taste(I also had to pay for a tiny blanket). However, other than those two very minor things, it was a wonderful flight. I have never flown with a better crew, you could really tell they all actually enjoy their jobs. I loved that the pilot had a great sense of humor, he told a few funny jokes after we landed(while we were taxiing) it definitely helped make the time pass faster & I honestly think it put everyone in a good mood :) I have never been more satisfied with a flight. I will most definitely recommend WestJet to everyone I know, and will be my first choice for flying myself."

Cons: "The stewardess (Stephanie was her name I think) grabbed my arm and pushed it out of her way rather than asking me to move. While it may sound dramatic, I am certainly not accustomed to a stranger putting their hands on me and it was hugely inappropriate and ruined my flight. This was my first WestJet flight after flying countless times with Air Canada. The whole experience was soured and I will never look at WestJet the same again."

Customers were pretty impatient in the early morning as well which didn't help the situation. Not sure if snacks or refreshments (other than water) we're handed out in a 4.5 hour flight as well."

On this flight the agent at the gate was very rude when I asked about checking my bag, lecturing me about the size of the bag and insisting she would have to charge me if it was a full flight, which she said it wasn’t. It ended up fitting just fine in the overhead. Totally soured my experience. I will not use this airline again."

Fortunately we were early so this wasn't an issue but kept us waiting at "step 2" until an actual photo could be found. We also had a delay after boarding while they changed a tire. My bag was not delivered to me until 1 am the following day."

I wanted to simply cancel the flight that I was automatically rebooked on; however, I have been on hold with customer service for HOURS and can not get through. Cons: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."

The staff provided updates periodically but it would be better if the issue could be prevented before boarding. Although it's not expected, I was pretty happy the seat on my left was empty on first plane. On the sub plane they arranged an overweighted guy on my left which made the delay worse as he threw off the strong smell of curry."

Pros: "The process from start to finish was very well coordinated. Crew kept passengers informed of situation as they arises due to matters beyond their control while maintaining the integrity of Air Canada."

Cons: "The flight was originally delayed by 30 minutes.. reasonable considering the high winds in both NYC and Toronto. Things started going wrong after we boarded the airplane and then were told the flight crew had not yet arrived from LGA. There is simply no excuse for airlines not keeping sufficient standby crew capacity to minimize these issues. This is a clear case of the airline under staffing at the expense of its customers. By the time the flight crew arrived we were just barely able to make the 8:45 wheels up time for our clearance. The flight to LGA was uneventful until we landed. We were then told our gate was occupied by another plane, a delay that was initially forecast to be a few minutes turned into what seemed to be close to an hour. As a result, I arrived home to my Manhattan apartment at least two hours later than I should have. Flight delays happen, I accept them when they are for reasons that cant be avoided... I look for other airlines (such as united) when they occur for entirely preventable reasons and result in back pain from being trapped in an airline seat for 3+ hours instead of the 1hr 15 or so I should have been stuck in the seat."

Were any of the "lunch" items available? "No, we only have snack items on this flight." But it's during lunch time... "It's not a long enough flight." WHO COULD MAKE THIS UP? We declined to complain for fear we would be thrown from the plane. Oh yes, I have 1,800,000 miles on United."

A few moments later she came back on reprimanding that "THIS IS NOT A JOKE YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN WITH YOUR SEAT BELTS FASTENED" which was still ok. The third announcement was the one I felt was highly inappropriate when she then stated "I DONT KNOW IF YOUVE BEEN WATCHING THE NEWS LATELY, BUT THERE IS NO WARNING WHEN THE TURBULANCE IS GOING TO GET WORSE" frankly I have been watching the news lately and there is plane CRASHES on the news. My husband is afraid of flying and that announcement was terrifying, even for someone who is not afraid to fly. There has to be some sort of protocol of verbage to use when the turbulance is getting bad, because to insinuate the plane could crash to get your point across is crossing the line. I have been on planes where the turbulance is a lot worse and felt this was really out of line."

The United schedule required changing terminals and a race to the next gate -- then closed the doors five minutes early even though there were passengers sprinting from the other terminal to make their connection. They knew the connecting flight had been delayed; they should have waited five minutes to let us on. The result was a nine-hour wait in Newark Airport for the next United flight."

Cons: "No wifi and a very small plane. The plane was also extremely cold. There was very cold air blowing at my feet and I was so cold on the flight I was shivering. I had to lift my feet up or place them under my bag to keep them from being so cold. The Newark airport in terminal A did not have many food options and security did not honor TSA precheck. It was also extremely dirty and poorly organized."

Pros: "People only comment to complain. In my case, everything went smoothly and ahead of schedule. The pilots took advantage of tail winds and put us at the gate ten minutes ahead of schedule. The crew was professional, personable and did their best to make everyone as comfortable as possible."

Cons: "A male flight attendant was so rude demanding and yelling at me to take my carry on down because according to him it didn't fit, he didn't even try, I asked him politely if I can give it a try and he responded "you can do whatever you want" with such an attitude!!, of course it did fit perfectly. so racist! Also 5hours flight from LA to Newark and not a single snack not even considered that this was a very early flight in the morning."

Pros: "I've only used United a handful of times between London and New York. They've been okay. The worst flight was on an older plane that felt like it'd been built in 1975, and the entertainment was rubbish. The staff however are always pleasant and accommodating. Their service was just as good on my heavily delayed return flight, and managed to handle the tired, short fused customers with aplomb. Hats off to them."
Cons: "My return flight from EWR to LHR was delayed by 4.5hours. Initially it was a 20minute delay; then we boarded the plane, only to sit still for an hour due to technical difficulties. Then we were delayed by another 30 minutes. Then we were asked to leave the plane as a replacement jet was required. It was meant to take 15 minutes, when it actually took at least 1.5 hours. It was a 6.10pm flight, and we boarded the new plane at 9.30pm. We eventually jetted off at 10.30pm. I'de received 10 text messages stating each each rescheduled/delayed departure time. Sadly, it's the worst flight I've ever had. I ended up 3.5 hours late for work, missed an important business meeting. Shame."
