I took American's first direct flight between Philadelphia and San Antonio. It was a nice plane, good service, and amenities for a cost. Love that the plane had plugs!
Three hours delay. I paid for a upgrade to first class. But because of the flight change i didn't get to keep my upgrade and I had to beg for a refund. I have had two trips in the past 5 days and all flights have been anywhere from 1 to 3 hours late. Worst experience with AA I have had in a long time.
Polite. Clean. Nice business class.
Would like more Western food.

Uncomfortable, small, seat space with inadequate legroom. Lack of personal entertainment options. Paid extra for earlier boarding group which only benefited me by about 5 people. (NOT WORTH IT!) Lack of complimentary food options. (Pay for everything)

Security taking forever
We had to go back to the gate after we started the taxi to take off because some idiot had remembered he left a lithium battery in his checked luggage... The service cart kept hitting me and the attendant didn’t even say sorry or excuse me... aisles are too narrow... seats are too small. The guy next to me wouldn’t put the arm rest down because he felt to cramped, so he was hitting me with his elbow all evening... I’m just not happy, but glad to be home.
Alaska Airlines has a great fruit and cheese plate for $7.50. GOGO app gives a good selection of movies, tv shows and HGTV!
Attendant was much more pleasant to the two men around me. Such a full flight, we were told to sit down until the food cart was done to access the lavatory. Too narrow of an aisle!
Love the fact Alaskan has a few more inches of leg room. The plane was actually at a good temperature rather than the normal freezing!
Boarding and disembarking is SO slow at pretty much all airlines. It would be great if SOMEONE would come up with a better plan.
