My flight to Los Angeles was canceled Had to book another flight and you charged me extra $500 Very bad experience

Comfort was left wanting due to such a long flight, made the wife and I wish we could upgrade the seats to Business class or First Class, but did not have that option. Food was good but had very limited options and I have a dietary restriction which was difficult for the staff to accommodate since everything provided came with cheese on it. (Cheese could potentially kill me) Did not have an option to inform the staff until we were already in the air about the restriction and was not provided another option before flight departed.

It was a 2 hour flight to Taiwan. Lunch was served. China Airlines goes above and beyond for their passengers.

Staff is friendly, great variety of entertainment, check in a little messy but due to people not listening. Overall a pleasant experience. Would use again in the future.

3 of the 4 flights had delays despite the weather being fine, but still managed to make all connections

Ask flight attendant for water during flight and she was a little rude get the water.

Flight was delay almost 2 hours from Hong Kong to Taipei. Last minute gate change from 24 to 66. Long way walk. We need to run in the Taipei airport to catch our next flight from Taipei to Vancouver. That is so suck!

Excellent staff made the boarding process fast and easy. Friendly crews on both flights from Saigon to Taipei and Taipei to Los Angeles. Will fly China Airlines again.

For a long-haul flight, the crew did a very good job of keeping the lavatories clean and the aisles clear.

The check-in crew at SF did not put on breakable glass stickers on check-in baggages which caused my antique whisky bottle to break during transportation.

The overall flight went well and the aircrew was pleasant.

Cathay Pacific seems to be an airline in trouble and on its way out. Lots of broken or poorly functioning things like entertainment screens, seats, and enough well trained staff to handle a full flight. Sad...

The flight crew was exceptionally good. Personal needs were well met. The food choices were very nice.

Excellent. Planes are a little older and could get some refurbishment, but besides that everything was excellent.

While I was in great pain, the seat was sufficiently comfortable to allow me to rest and not be in so much pain.

we were upgraded which was a blessing and tender mercy for us. I fell the day before and was in extreme pain from knee to shoulder. Sitting in a more comfortable seat during the flight was an unexpected blessing and experience.

My seat was sold off to someone else. Had to wait 9 hours to catch the next filght. Definitely will never use Cathay Pacific again. Bad, very bad airline. will comment on google reviews too.

Seats were very comfortable. Crew were excellent. Food very good.

Flight crew was especially thoughtful and attentive, made sure our seats were comfortable so we could rest on the long flight

The coffee in Premium economy and economy is terrible. That's it. Everything else is great

The plane was small and a little stuffy inside the plane.

Going to Xiamen they did not offer any wine and basically offered two food choices in tin trays. Something you would expect on a domestic flight in China not a $10k business class flight. The flight attendant admitted they also stopped paying for satellite Wi-Fi; which they used to offer and now don't - without apology. Normally I am a huge fan of a non-stop but the difference between Japanese or US carriers is a large one and well worth a stop in Korea or Japan rather than pay double for no amenities at all. The plane is nice, but the experience was below par.

Once on board, everything is perfect. The young and pretty flight attendants warmly welcome each passenger and demonstrate excellent service attitudes. As passengers board one after another, the flight attendants begin to inquire about our meal preferences. I requested to see a wine list and choose a suitable red wine. She replied that there were no menus or wine lists, but she would take a photo of the red wine options on her phone and show me later. After lunch, the flight attendants began to ask about dinner arrangements. It turns out that there were only three options for dinner: seafood, chicken, and beef, exactly the same as lunch.

Cons: "Shouldn’t have babies or small kids in the business class"
Pros: "There was a good amount of leg room for an economy seat"
Cons: "I wish there was a bigger movie selection"
Pros: "There was a good amount of leg room for an economy seat"
Cons: "I wish it had more movie options"
Pros: "Crew was very good and professional, yes the seats were comfortable"
Cons: "I think the Xiamen knows how to run an airline."
Cons: "They wouldn’t let us in the plane due to passport expiring within 6 months of travel. That should have been something you should have put out there during the booking process. We’re now not going on vacation and are having a hard time getting anything back from a trip we couldn’t take"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "It was extremely loud the entire trip and after traveling for more than 24 hours beforehand, it was an extremely uncomfortable trip."
Pros: "The crew was nice"
Cons: "My tv monitor didn’t work and my wife’s chair wouldn’t stay reclined"
Pros: "Economy seats were actually pretty comfortable and the staff was very attentive."
Cons: "The vegetarian food was basically unsalted, watery rice and fruit. By the third round of it (long flight w/ 2 dinners and 1 breakfast) I just didn’t eat it. The entertainment also advertises movies and shows that they don’t have. Small selection that could be better."
Pros: "I liked getting to my destination safely."
Cons: "The boarding process was chaos and when we finally boarded, the seats were extremely uncomfortable. There also wasn’t any choice of entertainment and the movie that was playing had no way to have audio (no headphone jacks to plug into)"
Cons: "The flight was delayed for hours, ridiculous. Do better. No excuses."
Pros: "cabin crew continued to smile despite conditions"
Cons: "the stewardess were filling themoses if hot water instead if pre flight duties. even after pushing away from gate i could see 8 passengers with trays down making soup with boiling water, brought by stewardess, and additional ones eating hot soup."
Pros: "Not much, but the crew were friendly"
Cons: "The airline was late in take off for some unknown reason (nothing to do with weather). Flight too be late and we missed out connecting flight. They demanded we purchase a new ticket for the next leg of the flight. Furthermore, then they cancelled the rest of the return flight. Terrible Airline"
Cons: "on august 14,i got an email tell me my airline is china eastern airline. i have waited for chech -in in china eastern airline for 30minutes,the china eastern told me my airline is not china eastern .maybe hainan airline i walked to hainan airline ,it told me it is not their airline....."
Pros: "NA"
Cons: "The hyphen in first name separated name into first and middle. We canceled flight because airline wanted to charge for correcting the name that their system won’t take."
Pros: "New plane. And now online check-in is now available"
Cons: "Looks like they missed a snack in between."
Pros: "new airplane"
Cons: "wish they had online check-in service in Los Angeles."
Pros: "The crew was very frindly. Tha craft is very clean"
Cons: "Food for non-Chinese passengers"

The flight was delayed for almost 5 hours, but I understand that it was not up to the company, however how they could handle the situation better, they never apologized for that delay, moreover despite passengers being there for 7 hours only thing they did was to give a bowl of instant noodles, afterwards on the plane tiny snacks, people were there starting from lunch time and we’ve arrived to destination at almost midnight

Flight was delayed for 2 hours for no reason, then we spent almost an hour after boarding because of the weather conditions. If we left on time we could avoid that 😾

Pros: "Friendly crew and helpful staff"
Cons: "Missed connection from PEK to XIY due to delayed arrival and early departure. From XIY to PEK, booked and confirmed 11 departure, changed to 12:30 without notification or explaination. Rushed connections at PEK, pretty much ran from the minute left plan to another terminal, through custom, through all the health check points, security check. Just keep the fights on time and keep the original schedules, not arbitrarily change them."
Pros: "The crew was accommodating during the flight but spoke very little English and could not help with information on connecting flight."
Cons: "We missed our connecting flight due to a delay and the airline would not let us through because we could have made our second flight...."
Cons: "Connecting though Beijing from Taipei to LAX is not recommended if you can avoid it!"
Cons: "Seats are narrow, leg room poor, and food service is minimal."
Pros: "The seats on business were comfy, the service excellent, the movie selection was fair to poor, the food was also fair to good largely because they served a heavy lunch rather than a light breakfast."
Cons: "The food and movie selection."
Pros: "The crew was okay. The seating was great on all except for one leg."
Cons: "On one leg, it must have been an older plane, because the business class seats barely reclined."
Cons: "More TV show choices and more Hollywood movies although I understand it's a Chinese airline not American."
Pros: "Crew was great and was happy to get gluten free food i could eat"
Cons: "Not lose my bags :("
