Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
"flight was delayed"
Cons: "WiFi wasn’t working"
Pros: "Crew was nice, flight was smooth."
Cons: "The plane was not boarded back to front because large parties were not broken up and therefore not social distanced."
Pros: "The assurance of safe social distances, The boarding was well done. Getting off the plane was pretty good. Leaving on landing as scheduled. Keep it up"
Pros: "Everyone spaced apart on flight. Snacks handed out in individual presorted packs."
Cons: "Surprised they didn’t check everyone’s temperature before boarding."
Pros: "Some of the crew was decent others seemed annoyed they were doing their job."
Cons: "Some of the crew was decent others seemed annoyed they were doing their job. Two of the employees serving the cabin could use an attitude adjustment. The crew was late in getting food out but for a four hour flight there is no value in flying anymore. Airlines are just trying to rake in as much money as possible. When are they going to be responsible for everyone getting sick like cruise ships are? They should hand out masks and sanitizer because airlines are one of the dirtiest public spaces that there is! Show up late and barely clean the plane between its third or fourth leg of the day."
Cons: "It was an older plane and missing the comforts of such. No ports to charge your device. Screens were very small. Seat had trouble reclining."
Cons: "Temperature oscillated a lot,"
Pros: "Jet Blue's legroom"
Cons: "Too many delays"
Pros: "Very well organized, smooth boarding, early arroval"
Pros: "Crew is nice, seat space is slightly larger than other airlines"
Cons: "This route (BOS-DCA and back) is ALWAYS delayed. This time it was 3 hours. I should have taken the train!"
Cons: "Yes because we have to Wait. 4 hour"
Cons: "Multiple delays and changing of gates. Sitting on the tarmac waiting to deplane for longer than communicated by pilot."
Pros: "flights on the DCA-BOS route are the 2x2 planes, so no bad seats. Seats are also nice amount of space compared to some airlines."
Cons: "Not really the airline's fault, but there was bad weather on our route so we sat on the plane for 3 hours before we even took off. So for a 1.5 hr flight we were on the plane for 5+ hours."
Pros: "For this flight the rows are just four seats total, two isle seats and two window seats; that means that there are no dreaded middle seats. The seats are larger and more comfortable than many competitors."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for two hours and then once we were on the plane and pulled away from the gate there was a "maintenance issue" so we sat just outside the gate for about 50 mins (bring delay time to three hours). The pilot was a bit worried about weather so there was no snack/drink service."
Pros: "Flight crew as great."
Cons: "Boarding was a circus, and the cabin crew could have cared less... All they were interested inward handing out credit card a;p,cation. By far, the worst cabin crew I have seen i the last 5 years."
Pros: "The service and the food"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed 4 times. We then sat on the runway for an extra 45 minutes because someone’s tv did not work. We missed our set transportation which was already rescheduled 4 times and had to pay $150 Uber to get home"
Pros: "Quick boarding. Nice crew"
Pros: "Crew and the seat was great"
Cons: "Each leg of my flight the entertainment did not work"
Pros: "Amazing Crew !!"
Pros: "Flight on time, smooth birding/disembarkment"
Cons: "I boarded the flight with a carry-on and one personal item. As usual I personally place the carry-on in an overhead bin. After the flight landed and I went to retrieve my carry-on, it was gone! The flight was full, so I checked with the flight attendants if my bag somehow got gate-checked or it was moved. They didn't know and they said maybe it went into the checked bags. So I wait at the baggage claim and out comes my carry on bag without any tags. Strange! My carry on didn't have anything valuable, but a bit of communication or some form of record would have made this odd incident a little less nerve-wracking. 1. Please communicate with the passenger if their bags get transferred to the checked bags 2. Please communicate with the crew which bags get moved from the cabin to the checked luggage 3. Please label the bags if they get moved around--there was no gate-checked tags or any stickers to communicate with the checked luggage folks."
Pros: "I liked that they allowed my dog to get on board with me in the end. I like that they had delicious options for snacks and good entertainment during the flight."
Cons: "I didn’t appreciate them questioning me about the comfort dog when all the papers were right in front of the attendant. Also, I had called in several times to make sure I had everything I needed to the last min change in having to bring my dog with me. I was told over the phone that I could have up until I boarded but then got to the airport and was commented about it a few times by JetBlue associates. It is confusing and fairly stressful especially when I called in ahead of time to confirm I was ok."
Cons: "no overhead availability due to full flight; entertainment sucked"
Pros: "Arrived early."
Pros: "See above"
Cons: "Nothing to speak of."
Pros: "Boarded early, plenty of leg room, delicious in-flight free beverages & snacks, arrived at DCA 27 min early. My wife had a panic attack and the two stewardesses took great care of her and calmed her down. Despite my wife's condition, the stewardesses took great care of the rest of the passengers, too. We've flown JetBlue to Puerto Rico and loved the service. My adult son is a fan of JetBlue."
Pros: "Everything. Flight attendants were wonderful and friendly, plenty of entertainment in flight, free WiFi, comfy spacious seats."
Cons: "Nothing. Just perfect. I will never fly any other airlines"
Pros: "Was a great flight until after landing at DCA, no gates were available."
Pros: "The pilot made up time after taking off late, the coffe and popcorn was good"
Cons: "The cabin crew seemed to do nothing but try and sell you stuff from blankets, credit cards, lunch boxes they spent a lot of the flight just trying to get you to buy stuff. When we landed we landed so fast the pilot had to brake very hard that life jackets came out of the pockets under the seats."
Pros: "Only my 2nd time on Jet Blue and this time it was that only two seats per row flights. The boarding process was smooth. I checked in online and had my pass on my phone. The seats were comfy enough & wifi was free along with tv. The flight itself was smooth and the flight crew address any possible issues beforehand. The crew was on-point with the routine but they had really great customer service. I usually don't think of JetBlue when looking to book but they are really winning my business. Great job overall."
Cons: "As with all others I've been on, airplane seats need more form."
Cons: "Had to pay extra for the comfort and leg room."
Pros: "Flight delayed. Other than that everything was good, friendly crew, TV program on board, drinks and snacks, plus a carry-on item allowed, will use JetBlue more in the future ."
Cons: "The plane was miserably cold, with tempuratures dipping well into the 50s on the aircraft. I was shivering and sneezing the entire time, guests in the row in front of my had their leather jackets over their faces. Air was pummeling me in the window seat. It was the most miserable 2 hours on a plane I have ever experienced, and I have been on thousands. I would highly reconsider the tempuratures on the plane seeing as that this could severely sicken children and elderly. I have never experienced this before."
Pros: "The app on my phone allowed me to do nearly everything but place my luggage in the back"
Pros: "They have come a long way hope it will be kept up-being on time is important, staff welcoming good too. Enjoy flying JetBlue. Need to offer flyers easier way of becoming "special" or less "tariff" to reach special status"
Cons: "So far nothing"
Pros: "Very easy"
Cons: "Outlets and USB ports would be helpful. Also, the seats are rather narrow. And the soundproofing was less than ideal."
Pros: "Everyone was great, and the communication through the weather delay was excellent."
Cons: "The entertainment: headphone jack was tricky to connect and (due to the weather) the stations didn't work."
Pros: "Left on time, arrived early. No disruptions. Nothing else to say' all good."
Pros: "Seat was fine"
Cons: "Plane was blowing excessive amounts of cold air on my seat, and airflow could not be adjusted. I explained this would trigger a sinus infection, a common issue for those prone to sinus infections, not to mention it was simply uncomfortable. I asked for this to be addressed. It was not, despite I was told turning down the air might be possible. No follow up was provided. Sure enough, I now have s sinus infection."
Cons: "The wifi was already known to be not working from prior flight, and again wasn’t working on this leg of flight... could consider using the system that Southwest uses, as that is ready to go on ground and throughout flight (better than Delta or United). Thanjs"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 4 hours because Jetblue does not know how to fix the toilets on their planes."
Pros: "Seats were comfy, staff was nice and efficient, flight was smooth, and boarding was super easy"
Cons: "Flight was delayed almost an hour which sucked since I got there an hour and a half before boarding and had nothing to do"
Cons: "We were told there were mechanical problems with the plane coming from another location so our flight was delayed but we didn’t get notification until last minute. We were charged for every bag headed back home when we were only charged for 1 bags leaving out. In flight TVs barely worked and the plane wasn’t that clean since they didn’t have much time to clean the due to the delay."
Cons: "2 and half hour delay, after being ask to be at airport 3 hours before flight due to construction at terminal. So with that sat at airport for close to 6 hours waiting."
Pros: "The departure and arrival times were met. The crew was professional and corteous."
Cons: "There is no WiFi, directTV on the flight. There is “no satellite coverage “ during the flight. Even though it’s sate and it comes from space, there’s no coverage. Come on, there has to be a copyright issue or something."
Pros: "The snacks, the voluntary offering of to put the the carry on the back of the aircraft, the crew and the fact that the co-pilot is a woman."
Cons: "The turbulence and the harsh decent of the plane scared me and I have a panic to flying."
Pros: "Pilot came out to talk to us! Flight attendant handled things very well!"
Cons: "Wish there had been more food options."
Pros: "I'm a big fan of jet blue :) Nicer than the other international flight..."
"Anyone that purchased a Delta 1st Class seat should have access to the Delta Sky Club. My wife and I purchased 1st Class tickets for a Delta flight from SeaTac to Washington Dulles but were denied entrance to the SeaTac Delta Sky Club because we did have an American Express card."
Pros: "Absolutely ridiculous ... sat on the runway longer than the flight."
Cons: "Reason we sat on the runway longer than the flight is they were understaffed. Unacceptable."
Cons: "This plane was too full for social distancing. I was really skeptical about this flight as it relates to the COVID pandemic."
Pros: "The crew was amazing."
Cons: "The seat backs are very uncomfortable for my neck & upper back. Difficult to tolerate, and gave me headache on each flight."
Pros: "The crew was good, and the airline tried to make our wait in the airport as comfortable as possible."
Cons: "The four-hour delay was really hard. Since it was in DC, I don't know why it took so long to get another plane."
Pros: "Friendly cabin staff and one of the most enjoyable addresses by a captain I've ever heard (and seen - he was out in the first class area when he welcomed us)."
Cons: "The flight was delayed over two hours"
Pros: "The crew was amazing! They were all so nice and helpful"
Cons: "The WiFi didn’t work"
Pros: "The crew was okay. Could be better"
Cons: "Variety of snacks and drinks"
Pros: "Clean Washroom"
Cons: "N A"
Pros: "Information communicated about delays."
Cons: "- more communication (any!) about bag status when landed - flight delay due to too many/too heavy baggage. Long delay was said to be due to making sure our baggage would accompany destination. Upon arrival, bag was left in NYC but this wasn't communicated. No info on bag status at airport or via ema"
Cons: "First class seats were too close together. It was very difficult to get out of you seat into the aisle. Food was not what it should have been for 1st class There was no wall between 1st class and coach giving little privacy when I worked my laptop. it was in direct view of the middle seat in coach"
Pros: "They were friendly and prompt, joked with us as they worked. The flight was smooth and on time"
Pros: "Very good"
Cons: "Seat assignments should have be provided at check in."
Pros: "Crew was great seats comfortable but quite near back my connecting flight I had to get my seat when I got to the airport I was second from the back but close to washrooms"
Cons: "There was no entertainment on second flight but I didn’t use it anyway On second flight washroom was not very good my scarfe dropped on the floor and was wet and yuckie"
Pros: "The crew was dealing with NOVA/DC residents"
Pros: "Crew was very professional. Seat uncomfortable. No entertainment. did get water or coffee."
Pros: "Coming from Europe Alitalia and Delta did an EXCELLENT job at assisting the passengers get rid of their luggage just as soon as we were done going through customs... I don't usually fly on this route, but I thought it was perfect. Transfer between Delta terminal was a breeze too..."
Cons: "I usually don't fly from JFK. The food court was expensive (18 dollars base price from a burger seems a high even for an airport. I don't fly from NY normally - so maybe I need to tune my expectation for the locale, and it may have NOTHING to do with the airline company."
Pros: "No major delays and able to make my connection. It was a standard flight without too much to report on"
Cons: "wish there could be less trash generated on airplanes. I notices that Flight Attendants on this flight separated the plastic cups from the trash, and I hope this got recycled."
Pros: "Getting to my destination."
Cons: "Leg room, more room for carry on bags, coats, etc."
Pros: "The crew were kind and courteous. The seat was comfortable."
Pros: "I loved Craig on our flight he made it a hilarious and fun experience! And he needs a raise!"
Cons: "The seat was a bit uncomfortable, and boarding was slow. To be expected I assume for anything not first class."
Pros: "Seat was comfortable"
Cons: "Could have been a little cooler- was stuffy"
Pros: "Myself and my wife were rebooked and arrived home the same day. Albeit 7 hours late."
Cons: "Flight left gate on time, yet departed 1 hr late because deicing took almost 1 hour. There was only one truck working."
Pros: "The service is very good from the beginning. The flight attendant is very caring thanks so much."
Pros: "- great customer service - friendly staff - Positive energy"
Cons: "- No room in the seats - No food served on plane - Crowded -"
Cons: "The aircraft is too old, MD-88. I don't know how Delta is flying that type of aircraft. Is very risky"
Pros: "Another safe flight. Crew was very attentive."
Cons: "Flight cancelled due to weather that was never bad but on the potential of bad weather. Had to scramble so my 18 year old son was not stranded overnight in a strange place and Delta does not help. Only rebooked a flight itinerary for the next day for a 4 hour flight with connections on a 1 hour direct flight. Spent an hour on line to figure out what to do. #neverdelta"
Pros: "Quick boarding"
Cons: "Plane delayed 4 times for a total of 4 hours"
Pros: "The flight for getting us therw"
Cons: "No food and no entertainment"
Pros: "Loved the roomy seats and the upgrade wasn't terribly expensive"
Pros: "Upon arriving in Minneapolis-St. Paul, it was a struggle to determine whether or not my bags had made it, whether or not I needed to collect them from baggage claim due to the cancellations/delays, and if I was even going to be able to transfer my ticket. Flight arrived late in the evening when most flights were basically complete for the day. Luckily, I happened upon a red-eye arrival, and spoke to an agent at that gate (Taj). Taj was without a doubt, THE BEST GATE AGENT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN MY 40+ YEARS OF TRAVELLING!! I explained my situation to him, and he immediately asked to see my travel info. He proceeded to get me on a flight much earlier than originally anticipated, upgraded me to Premium fare status, and did his best to re-route my luggage (which he informed me was still sitting in ATLANTA 18 hours after having left there...) - how does someone get on a flight, and their check-in get noted, but their luggage does not get put on said flight?? Things that make you go hmmmmm.... All that aside...I will be planning a trip to Minneapolis-St. Paul specifically to take a gift of appreciation to Taj! Well done on this end Delta - Taj is an excellent example of intelligent customer service."
Cons: "Last minute notifications of delays/cancellations. Luggage was not placed on my original departing flight from Atlanta 18 HOURS EARLIER...not cool Delta. As a result, I did not receive my luggage for another 2 1/2 days ."
Pros: "Hartsfield rental car train broke so it made me miss my original flight to DCA. Delta ticket agents rebooked me w/no problem and could not have been nicer or more professional. Thank you Delta, you are my hero! Hartsfield Airport, not so much."
Pros: "Having just exited the AeroMexico flight that came across as unprofessional, it was refreshing to get on a Delta flight. It was not really exceptional, but it met my expectations. The Delta agent on the telephone on the day before our flight WAS exceptional, as she tried valiantly to get us checked in to a flight that had been changed (by Aeromexico) several times. Delta was also exceptional in helping us retrieve our luggage after AeroMexico lost it."
Cons: "The noise by the engines in the back section on the Delta flight was rather unbelievable. As a physician, I think it was likely physically damaging to our hearing. If this interior aircraft noise can’t be avoided, I think earplugs should be offered to passengers in those seats."
Pros: "Nice flight a good crew"
Pros: "Mu seat!"
Cons: "My baggage took for to long to arrive"
Pros: "The crew was friendly, relaxed, made everything seem like a breeze"
Pros: "Online app to watch movies made the trip fly by. Pun intended"
Pros: "Short flight"
Pros: "Empty seat next to me and actually got to stow my bag overhead. Good entertainment options. On-time departure and arrival."
Cons: "Wi-Fi not functioning for second flight in a row. No food available for purchase, not even snack boxes. Best I could get was three bags of almonds."
Pros: "I could be wrong, but the seats were very comfortable (for a plane) and I felt my knees weren't as close to the seat in front of me than other airlines. So that's a plus."
Cons: "VERY bumpy ride- scary"
Pros: "I was thankful for the early boarding with a lap infant and was very pleased with the options for entertainment on the TV monitor."
Cons: "The main issue I had was that we sat in row 34 and the noise from the engines often made it difficult to hear announcements, even with headphones in. Look into possibly zoning the audio and turning it up a click or two for rows behind the engines."
Pros: "Comfortable flight, ample leg room, and the chairs were pretty plush. Comfort+ is pretty nice"
Cons: "On my first flight they forgot to turn the wifi on. I have unlim data but obviously can't use while in air; no big though."
Cons: "While there was plenty of space on the aircraft, I was forced to gate check my carry on."
Pros: "flight attendants were great."
Cons: "not enough leg room and space. The business class should be at the minimum for economy."
Pros: "on time. great flight attendnant"
Pros: "The crew was polite and friendly"
Cons: "My second plane had sooo much moisture coming from the cooling system it looked like the passengers were getting gased and I kept getting wet from water condensation falling on me in a window seat as I tried to sleep from having such an early flight to begin with only to be told it's delayed 3 hrs without explanation."
"The lady at the check in desk never asked me if I was first class or main cabin. Just assumed I was main cabin. So they almost made me check my carry on until I showed my boarding pass. Other than that, everything was great. Smooth flight flight attendants were very nice"
"The pretzels were ok, but a wider assortment of snack choices would be better."
"8 hour delay and cancellation. Lost baggage no food vouchers no refund no help. Never flying AA again."
"It was comfortable and organized."
Cons: "Flying on a different airline"
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "An on time flight"
Pros: "Flight to DC was good, on time, clean, pleasant crew, etc. And the flight back was mostly good, with exception of the booking and boarding issue."
Cons: "My TSA information was included in the flight to DC, but apparently omitted from the system for the return trip. This forced me to go through the non-TSA precheck even though I have paid for and am a known traveler. The flight was also late and making it later still, was the gate having to plead for passengers to check their bags as a way to avert the airline’s overbooking it in the first place."
Pros: "Crew did the best they could under the circumstances. All of us had to wait for the plane due to weather. Once onboard everything went as well as it could."
Pros: "The crew was clearly concerned with the covid rules, but just as concerned for passenger's needs. Outstanding performance in difficult circumstances."
Cons: "Food option to purchase"
Pros: "Turbulence Ear popping"
Cons: "Better food options for those in group 1"
Cons: "Old planes, disinterested crew, full flight"
Cons: "Flight attendants not enforcing mask rules. Unfortunately, many people on my flight seemed to think they're not concerned by the pandemic, and were keeping their noses out of their masks, or frequently removing their masks"
Pros: "Smooth ight"
Cons: "Need to add cabin service"
Cons: "The seats are uncomfortable and cramped"
Pros: "The cleanliness and the seat arrangements"
Cons: "Snacks could have been given & Small bottled water."
Pros: "Always a friendly crew"
Cons: "A slight delay that they could have been quicker to alert us of"
Pros: "I was lucky enough not to be put into a middle seat or next to a stranger during this pandemic."
Cons: "No social distancing and no enforcement of wearing a mask properly. Wearing one on your chin or half of your mouth with your nose hanging out needs to be corrected. Empty seats should be utilized for social distancing regardless of fare. First class and the back half of the planes were practically empty while everyone was in the center. We should have been allowed to spread out."
Pros: "Entertainment Screen in the seat back in front of me"
Cons: "Deplaning. On one of my other flights this week they released us 3 rows at a time to limit social distancing. Thought that was going to be the norm but I guess not."
Pros: "Ground crew was great, they kept us informed about our 3 hrs delay"
Cons: "Get a crew in in less than 3hrs Some people has plans"
Cons: "It could have been cleaner. I wiped the arm rest with my disinfectant wipes and that arm rest was dirty! I wiped everything else around me. Not clean at all"
Pros: "Very friendly"
Cons: "Everything was perfect"
Cons: "offer coffee at least"
Cons: "Sat on tarmac for over 40 min waiting for gate"
Cons: "I had my period and desperately needed to use the bathroom. We were told to stay in our seats The entire flight even though there wasn’t much turbulence. The flight attendant yelled at me over the intercom to return to my seat when I tried to get up so I ended up bleeding through my tampon."
Pros: "It was acceptable."
Cons: "3 hours delayed"
Pros: "Flight arrived early. Stewardess although newer was attentive"
Cons: "Nothing the flight was great"
Cons: "It was hot"
Cons: "Wifi didn’t work."
Cons: "Nothing, great job"
Pros: "The air hostess didn’t smile while offering cookies, but she wasn’t rude. She later asked my fellow passenger to move to another window seat and I had the comfort of 2 seats."
Pros: "Convenient departure time originally"
Cons: "Late start due to needing more fuel because of weather at the destination. So after everyone had boarded, at the minute we were supposed to take off, they beg for 2 volunteers to get off the flight to compensate for the weight of the excess fuel. Eventually 2 people b3came annoyed enough to get off and take a $200 voucher (probably for another delayed flight.) so we were late taking off for that. At our destination there were clear sunn6 skies. Extra fuel was needed for that. So I was stuck in a seat the size of a child’s car seat for an extra 40 minutes? And when we could finally get off, my legs had fallen asleep ffrom being too squeezed in for that relatively short flight. When will the airlines focus on the passengers’ safety & comfort and not on excessive profits?"
Cons: "on a 5+ hour flight, that was diverted back to the originating airport due to a passenger who had extreme DTs from excessive drinking the night before, and made the flight return, American offered NO compensation AND the aircraft was so old, there were NO back seat monitors NOR any means to charge our electrical devices!!!"
Cons: "I am very disappointed with my flight this morning on American Airlines 1533. The crew did an excellent job. The issue, however, is the media AA chose to play at 8:30am. The NBC show that was playing on every overhead TV on the flight featured a woman being sexually assaulted by a man, someone being bludgeoned with a piece a wood until they lay unconscience in a pool of blood, and woman with a gun to her head as she’s being yelled at by multiple men. I was flying with my three year old son. Why on earth is it necessary to show this tv show (or any show that has mature/adult ratings) on a flight that is obviously going to have audiences of all ages? Our flight had a dozen or so children and when you show prime time trash on the overhead TVs, it’s really tough to keep kids from looking forward the entire length of the 2 hour flight so they don’t watch a woman being raped, a man being beaten, or someone being held at gunpoint. I am traveling on behalf of the US government so I didn’t have to pay for my ticket. I did, however, pay for my 3 year old son to accompany me on the flight and I am wholly unsatisfied with the AA team responsible for choosing in-flight ‘entertainment.’ I’m not sure if NBC pays AA to feature their shows or AA has to pay NBC for the pleasure of featuring their trash but either way, what in the world are you guys thinking?"
Pros: "Helpful crew - courteous in their attitude towards customers and helped tight connections get out of quickly from the rear of the plane. Smile was on for each interaction."
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 50+ mins. The exit row announcement was made twice asking customers to acknowledge verbally which was probably a communication faux pas."
Pros: "I arrived in Sydney the day I was supposed to. Everything else was a let down and was not what I paid for."
Cons: "American Airlines cancelled a flight because of ‘weather’ from Msy to dfw, all other flights from Msy to Dallas operated on time but were sold out. We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."
Cons: "They lost our luggage even though we have 50 minutes between connecting flights."
Pros: "The crew was helpful and nice, boarding was calm, we got there much earlier than anticipated."
Cons: "1) Biggest complaint is not about the actual flight we were on, but the one we missed, who left the gate Early, even though they knew we had landed and other people from our BCN to JFK flight made it. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, esp since all other flights to DC out of JFK were cancelled. 2) We were on the last row of the plane so our seats didn’t recline. Annoying at best bc the flight was so short, but would have been nice since we had been traveling for 18 hours by that point (because of the late flight, missed connection, cancelled JFK flights, etc)."
Cons: "Flight was fine but took 20 minutes to find a gate agent at DCA to let us off the plane."
Pros: "Nice modern plane. Even though the flight was delayed, we ended up boarding earlier than expected and arrived pretty close to our original expected arrival time."
Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly, flight arrived ahead of schedule, planeside check-in for baggage was expedient"
Cons: "The plane departed at least 15 minutes late but the departure time was never updated to indicate the flight was delayed...even when it was ten minutes past the beginning of boarding and the plane had not even arrived yet. Felt like an exercise to improve flight scorecard performance. The flight landed at least fifteen minutes early...but we didn't have a gate..and ended up departing the planeapproximately on time...but planeside checked baggage took almost thirty additional minutes to finally return to the plane full of waiting customers. Felt way too long....and the ground crew didn't seem to appreciate that most people had a connection..."
Cons: "Inattentive flight attendants, overhead space was not well managed. Cash only"
Cons: "Not once but twice we boarded, sat on the plane for an hour and then were asked to deplane due to mechanical issues. It's understandable for one plane to have problems, but absurd to have issues again with the second plane. After all this, our flight was delayed until the early hours of the morning, leaving many passengers to sleep in the airport. It was uncomfortable, disappointing, frustrating, and the crew seemed very unsympathetic."
Pros: "That I got home safely"
Cons: "From the get go it was an awful experience ... I travel with an emotional support animal as does my husband because we don't do well with flying. I have anxiety to the max about it & my husband gets ulcerative colitis flare ups any time he's stressed out which is usually while we fly and having our dogs with us turkey makes us feel better. When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us ."
Cons: "Sat on tarmac for 1hr and 20 minutes since tower mix up and plane was bigger so confusion on seating. I feel stressed cause I will be missing a full day of work because of this delay and pretty pissed off. Would like some sort of compensation"
"United is on par with Spirit only l pay 4 times the amount"
"I really enjoyed everything"
"No food in this flight, should have n/a option"
"For an international flight back to the US. I think it went perfect, arrived on time, had a meal after take off and before arrival. Thank you."
Cons: "seats are terrible."
Pros: "Always good movies"
Cons: "Overall everything is good , with the actual situation I font think is a problem with the airline or employee"
Pros: "Crew is good"
Cons: "Delay is a problem, am late for second fly"
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Security staff short with passengers"
Cons: "Person next to me was talking across me"
Pros: "The seat was comfortable and the crew was accommodating."
Cons: "It was a mess from start to finish. Ridiculous lines. Ridiculous covid rules. They have us all shoulder to shoulder in tiny waiting areas then suddenly we get on line to board and have to stand six feet apart and then on the plane we are squashed all together anyway. It’s all so stupid. Not having the ability to get a boarding pass from the online app or printed made me have to wait in a line 300 people long to access the kiosk and then half of them were down. Then another line maybe 500 people long just to be allowed up the escalator to where there is another line to go through exuding checks. Nuts!!! My flight was an hour and I spent three hours online getting to it!!!"
Cons: "Less people because of COVID"
Pros: "I liked my seat"
Cons: "There was a stewardess that was very mean and not accommodating when I asked for a mask"
Cons: "The plane was extremely full. No chance of social distancing."
Cons: "Hire better competent people"
Pros: "There were only snacks, no setback entertainment"
Cons: "Add a meal and seatback entertainment"
Cons: "Counter at Asheville, point of origin for the flight, was unattended at recommended arrival time. Attendant, when he finally appeared, seemed, to this traveler at least, unengaged, abrupt, even rude, certainly not as welcoming and helpful ad other UA counter attendants at busier airports and at more demanding times. The word lazy comes to mind. The same individual handled the gate. His demeanor there was similar. If it is UA policy to leave counters unattended, an explanation should be posted; if present policy requires one individual to handle counter and gate duties, perhaps more help is needed. This experience, all the more frustrating when a passenger ruses early so as to comply with recommended arrival and boarding times, combined with the fact that the incoming flight significantly delayed AVL to Washington depart setting the tone for a mostly mediocre experience crowned by a painful trek from terminal A to terminal C to catch the connection to PVD. Not a best effort by UA. Outstanding flight and cabin crews saved the day."
Cons: "I choosed this very very expensive flight because it was so import to be home in CPH at 9.00 for an important meeting. My flight from Chicago was delayed and nothing was done by the pilots to arrive on time. Despite the delay, I managed to arrive on time to my Connecting flight to CPH - only to realize that I was moved to a later flight. Now I have spent 2.300 USD on a poor flight that do NOT bring me to my destination on time. I am a frequent flyer, and will do everything I can Avoiding United going forward. Never United again"
Cons: "Luthsansa sent the reminder 30 prior the flight that was a delay on the flight operated by United. I called customer service they do don’t helped and hanged up twice. Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"
Cons: "Aircon too cool"
Pros: "The crew on the flight were very friendly, very attentive and always smiling. They took great care of the passengers and in particular a woman with a crying baby. It didn't bother me at all, but I know the parents were concerned and the flight attendants were so kind and helpful. The food was truly fantastic, and served hot and with a smile. They repeatedly asked us about water, as the cabin was dry. I would give the crew an A+!"
Cons: "My husband and I have not flown for several years and have always enjoyed past flights. However, it seems as if the seats have much less leg room than years ago. I am only 5 foot 4 inches, and was very uncomfortable. My husband is 6 feet tall and he was miserable. Sleeping on this 9 hour flight would have been helpful, but due to the cramped seating, it was pretty much impossible. The little pillow and blanket did help with some back support, but I guess making more money per flight is more important than comfort."
Pros: "Very comfortable flight"
Pros: "The flight went very smoothly from start to finish"
Pros: "Staff was friendly"
Cons: "United has a system glitch and we were delayed. I got in around 1 am instead of 11 pm. I decide to order a glass of wine and since they don’t give receipts. I found out i was charged for 2 glasses instead of one. To top it off the co-worker i was traveling with didn’t get charged due to the inconvenience and delay. i travel a lot with United (higher status than him) and would have liked that offer (and not get charged one i didn’t order) being a mileage plus and credit card holder. I did go on line and ask for a credit and they did make it right and give me a credit."
Pros: "Easy check in. Good flight. Good food."
Cons: "Had anightmare will complain to united diect"
Pros: "The flight was fine. We were delayed 4 hours. We arrived in wash DC at 1:45am when we expected to land at 9:20pm. What we did not like was the lack of information about the pending flight. We could have rescheduled with better information."
Cons: "The light above my seat did not work so reading was a challenge"
Pros: "They staff was friendly and they boarded efficiently."
Cons: "The worst part of the flight was the fact that they have redesigned their planes. They have put the seats even closer together and their new seats are horribly uncomfortable. The seats are made out of a hard molded plastic. There is no give and they don’t form to you back at all. Their comfort level I would rank at a zero! I had thought they may not be bad for a domestic flight as mine was international, however, I also had them for a domestic and they were equally uncomfortable. I will be checking off of United on my next flight as I can not sit in a seat this uncomfortable ever again! Try again United!!! #UnitedSeatsUncomfortable, #HorridSeats,"
Pros: "Service was excellent!"
Pros: "I was separated from my 4 year old and 7 year old children as well as our husband. We bought our tickets together but we're out on 4 different rows. I asked flight attendant for help and she was rude. She talked to my husband who was further in the back and came back and told everyone it was ok for my kids to not be with their parents because my husband said it was ok. It was not ok, it was awful. After I started crying someone finally traded spots. But I didn't like that my husband's wishes over Road mine, it was misogynistic and she was a woman, a very condescending women."
Cons: "That our family was separated. That the female flight attendant talked down to me in a misogynistic way"
Pros: "The flight actually had hot food for sale! The cheeseburger was pretty good."
Cons: "I had a really hard time getting the cabin crews' attention during boarding for a piece of safety equipment. I hit the call light, tried to catch them as the crew was distributing headphones, and the light got turned off by an off-duty flight attendant without checking that we needed something. I got it in the end with an apology from crew but I still don't feel terribly safe Also, the paid entertainment system that my neighbors purchased seemed to be down with static for a portion of the flight."
Pros: "The crew were excellent and receptive to needs on the flight."
Cons: "Baggage Claim was a nightmare. I did not receive a baggage ticket when I checked my bag in London. Part of that is my fault. I should have made sure I had one. It took an extra long time to get my bag. Everyone else had left the area from my flight and I approached the counter. The attendant at the counter was rude. She said she couldn't help me unless I had the baggage claim ticket. Which I get that, but it all comes down to how she said it to me. She went over to the carousel and said that my flights bags were still going around and at that time I saw my bag. I said there it is to her and she responds, well you can go get it yourself then. Just completely rude. It all came down to how she responded to me. I was freaking out at the prospect of my bag being lost and she responded as clipped and uncompassionately as possible."
Pros: "The movies were good - glad it was free and nice selection"
Cons: "US Pre-clearance in Dublin was ridiculous. I don't know what else to say about it. They were even holding us going down the escalator to the actual screening part. It was just one crazy queue to another. Will definitely make me think about ever going through Dublin again."
Pros: "The boarding was pretty good for this flight, seemed simple enough, everyone was pleasant. And I was near an exit, which offered sufficient leg room."
Cons: "I was disappointed by a few things... 1. The staff didn't much care to be there. They seemed distant and unconcerned, although their words were supportive. I just got off a flight from Seoul to SF, with United (892) and they admittedly stated that they were understaffed (which was completely fine) and their attitudes were much more supportive than that of the following team (486), a flight from SF to IAD. 2. I was surprised, that on a 5hr flight, they only offered a half bag of mixed items and two rounds of beverages. I was sure that they would feed us something. However, if it's not the policy, I get it...but I asked if they had anything I could purchase, the flight attendant points me to the menu pamphlet and says that I could choose from there. I asked for the Chilled Chicken with Slaw and she promptly lets me know that they only have cheeseburgers, a protein box and Cheese. For a person who's lactose intolerant, I was again disappointed by the service--why ask me to go to the menu, if you knew there were only three items you were offering?? So I didn't order anything. 3. The entertainment blows my mind. I've flown with you guys like 8 times this year, and the app still does not work properly, however, before every flight, someone mentions over the intercom to be sure to download the app...but if it doesn't work...why offer it? Also, if there are tvs at the back of every headrest, the least you could offer is a random movie, versus the commercials about how great the app is, or whatever was scrolling along. Lastly, please note, I was trying to figure out a way to make a comment to United...but didn't want to sound TOOO disgruntled. I'm not opposed to flying with UA, absolutely not, but if any of these things are addressed, I definitely feel you will be making a massive improvement on what seems to be an airline that I'd think twice about taking. Feel free to e-mail or call me. I don't mean to sound rude...but having flown other airlines, and knowing that UA has been around for a while, i just hoped the experience would be better."
Pros: "The cabin crew themselves were great. The pilots offered my child to go see the cabin and everyone on the actual plane was great."
Cons: "The United employees at check in kiosk were very unorganized and unhelpful. I was traveling internationally with a small child and had two pieces of luggage to check in. Normally you just go to the counter once and they do everything including taking your luggage once they weigh it. Instead, I had to go to the self check in kiosk, then back to the counter to weigh my luggage, take off the one luggage from the scale, weigh the second one, then go back to the self check in kiosk, then was told to take off the second luggage as well, then finally went to a second counter where the lady handwritten my luggage tags and then was told to take both pieces of luggage and put them somewhere else altogether with specific directions on where to put them. This is something normally handled by the actual employees. Also, the check in dude yelled at my kid for putting in his name into the check in kiosk while we were waiting on the check in dude to do all those unorganized activities. He claimed it would break the software if my kid were to enter his name. I have told him that no, the software will not break if my child enters in his name."
Pros: "On time smooth flight, goof landing."
Cons: "Very uncomfortable! Seats are entirely too small and close together."
Pros: "Everything was on time and fantastic. We got in 20 minutes early"
Pros: "Efficiency, punctuality, courteous service"
Cons: "Small aircraft, for the sector."
Pros: "There was a storm coming but they were able to get us out and landed before the storm hit so that we arrived on time. The flight attendants were also great."
Cons: "The pilot was a bit rude about overhead baggage. I was one of the passengers that had to check my bag before boarding which was fine, but it seemed like I walked onto a stressful plane situation where the pilot's tone sounded irritated with the passengers who put their smaller bags overhead instead of underneath. If it's that big of an issue, then I would suggest getting the flight attendants to suggest helping passengers to put smaller bags underneath and if they don't want to so be it. It just made me uncomfortable because the pilot had to come over the speaker and say something about it multiple times."
Pros: "Flight from New Orleans to Washington went fine"
Cons: "Can't get United app on kindle tablet"
Pros: "On time. Enough space ."
Pros: "The people were very nice! The entertainment although not easy to access was free. snacks were meh but ok. They did what they could to make us comfortable after flight was delayed 2.5 hours."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 2.5 hours was out of the control of the crew. They did what they could. But the plane was cramped. Not enough space. Everyone was cramped. We missed our connecting flight they put us up in a hotel and booked alternate flights. We had to stand out in the cold waiting for a shuttle to take us to the hotel. The hotel staff said more than once they were not prepared for all of us and getting us from airport to hotel and in rooms was almost another 2 hours. That gave us 3.5 hours to sleep before we started in the next journey. Of 4 hours from take off to landing in our home city. I had to pay for my baggage to go onto another airline."
Pros: "United has real nice seats and the seat belts fit. Flight was great."
Cons: "I hate when airlines make seat belts too short, it seems like a no brainer to add length to a seat belt."
Pros: "Found what was expected from the flight. Hats up to the take off that happened on time in a busy airport."
Cons: "Aircraft is tiny and seats are narrow."
Pros: "They held the plane due to delays in customs"
Pros: "Aircraft with old decoration. Could not see a single smile from the crew."
Pros: "Comfortable and enjoyable flight, efficient crew without delays."
Cons: "Poor food - even going for the safe pasta option. Very disappointing & not enjoyable."
Pros: "It was quick and the person I sat next was pretty cool."
Cons: "The flight personnel had bad attitudes. The seating was cramped and the wifi was expensive"
Cons: "Recent airline corporation consolidation has greatly reduced consumer choice. The surviving major airlines, in their effort to cut costs, sacrifice quality control and assurance. Pittsburgh's status as "no longer a major hub" was on full display here. United needed to have customer service agents available on site, but they did not. The review could easily turn into an essay on United's complete failure (ask the remaining passengers who were supposed to be on the PIT-IAD), but such a review would not change the state of affairs in the airline industry. I will be contacting United reps to lodge an official complaint."
Cons: "After having several flights with international airlines while in Thailand for the last 2 weeks, it was quite a disappointment to spent 12 hours on this UA flight. There was a 6-8 hour period during our flight were flight attendants did not ask or even consider walking the isles and asking the passengers if they needed any water or anything else. During several flights in Thailand, the attendants were constantly catering to every passengers' needs. The difference between the flight attendants from Bangkok to Tokyo compared to Tokyo to DC was worlds apart. The Japanese attendants were as friendly as ever and took care of all the passengers needs. The flight attendants were flat out rude. There was once event on this flight that I could not believe. A child of 5-7 years old had to go to the restroom with his mother. The flight attendant was collecting trash from our meal. Even though she knew the child was behind her and needed to go to the restroom, she would not stop collecting trash, move her cart so that the boy and his mother could get to the restroom. Instead, she continued collecting trash and made the boy wait until she was done. I feel embarrassed for the foreigners who were on this flight and this was their first impression of America and Americans. The main meal that was served was a breaded chicken patty served with a slurry of questionable gravy, rice, and a roll. I received better food on multiple 1 hour flights while in Thailand. The comfort level was what you would expect from most American airlines-tight and cramped. I will never book with United for another international flight."
Pros: "This was the most uncomfortable plane ride I have ever been on. Will not use this airline again"
Cons: "Social distancing, the seats are absolute garbage. There’s no room, the tray tables are a freaking joke. It was excruciatingly uncomfortable."
Pros: "Amazing crew"
Pros: "The time"
Pros: "The crew was great"
Cons: "Nicer seating"
Cons: "Dont have flight leave 30mins early"
Cons: "Due to power outage at the airport, my flight was cancelled. I called to talk with an agent, who were only able to check alternative routes one at a time and it was a total waste of time. I suggested that they call me back after they do some research. They promised to call back in 30 minutes but never did. After more than an hour I called again to talk with a second agent, who simply asked me to contact the third party through which I booked my ticket. The third party called them on my behalf and I was offered two options: 1) to get a full refund; 2) to get a replacement ticket for a flight that's FOUR DAYS after my original flight. What a joke!"
Pros: "Was fine overall for a no frills airline"
Cons: "We were not notified prior to the flight that we could not of been a plane so of course the only snack I had with me for a four hour flight was a bag of peanuts. We were told we were not allowed to take any peanut products out on the plane and this was told to us from at takeoff."
Pros: "If you have carry-on, you are seated first so there is room in the overhead compartment. That is great. Non-stop flight from DCA to Denver."
Cons: "This was my return flight to DCA. The flight home was marginally better because I paid $13 to upgrade to a window seat. I did not upgrade further for $45 to include reclining and more leg room. I guessed right the little extra room by the window gave me enough to be slightly more comfortable than the torturous middle seat. This time I checked my carry-on early, and saved $7. I paid $38 instead of $45. I prepaid my checked luggage. My base ticket was $368 but with the checked luggage, carry-on, and changed seat fees, it cost me $510. The base rate was not sufficiently low enough to really make a difference because of the all the add-on charges. Besides the charge for carry-ons, there is a charge for a simple drink or snack - $2.99. At least other airlines offer water and nuts, & do not charge for carry-ons. The ticket cost for other airlines were not near or over $510. This bare bones, nickel & dime may be good for some but not for me. I would rather give up a nonstop flight for comfort on a 4-hour trip and no hassles about carry-on luggage or a cup of water. If the trip was under 2 hours, it may not have been so bad but the fees for this or that is not very appetizing either."
Cons: "Complete lack of service. Plane diverted to IAD they told us to go to Z gates. Not one damn employee was around anywhere. Finally had to take an UBER to final destination DCA. I will be following up for a full refund on my flight and my UBER ride reimbursement."
Cons: "For beginners, my fisrt flight on new years eve got delayed, and then it got canseled... in order to make it to new orleans i had to book a flight with American airline for a much greater price (frontier $50 AA $375) Frontier was only willing to cover another flight with them, which would not leave untill Tuesday (jan 2) and that meant i would miss out on my new years experience and also a lost of $250 on a non refundable reservations, after calling costumer service they were only willing to provide a 200 voucher to fly with Frontiers instead of refunding me the full amout on $375 for the AA ticket i had to buy... my other r flight from New Orleans got delayed 2 times and i got in the plane 4 hours later to a flight where they didnt even provide complimentary drinks like a soda or water, last but not least i am currently waiting for my flight back home and i received an email saying that it got cancelled but when i called costumer care and they said that the status is unconfirmed... but if so i will be loosing a day a work and prob have to book another flight that will probably cost me more money to which i am not certain that i will be compensated for"
Pros: "I was thirsty and reluctantly agreed to purchase some water. I asked the attendant if she had andy diet drinks and she said she didn't and then I said oh well I guess I will have to get some water. She gave me a cup of water for free.."
Cons: "I NEVER ONCE saw that I needed to pay for our luggage when I bought the tickets and therefore when I checked in, I had to pay $38 per suitcase. THAT IS TERRIBLE! Also, I had a terrible time checking in and when I purchased my seats, the price went up $10 a seat. I will fly Frontier OJNLY when I HAVE to. I will NEVER make it my first choice."
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The flight was delayed, which on its face is understandable, except that it seems to be a pattern with Frontier. Whether I'm flying them myself, or picking up someone who's flying them, the last several Frontier flights I've experienced have been delayed, often repeatedly. And then there's the luggage fees . . . I booked this most recent ticket well in advance, and wasn't sure what my luggage needs would be. When I went online to add bags, I learned that adding them post booking, but pre-airport still incurred a significant cost increase - from $25 (at booking) to $38 (a week before check in). To carry one bag and check another, I had to pay nearly $80, which was more than the cost of my actual plane ticket! I'm sorry, Frontier, but I think our relationship is coming to an end . . ."
Pros: "Check in line was relatively short compared to other airlines at the same time of day"
Cons: "Chemical smell (fuel?) strong in back of plane when getting ready for take-off. Couldn't even buy a stretch seat and think it is disrespectful to customers to shoe-horn them in to those terribly close rows of "regular" seats. NO ONE wants to feel like that! Also, couldn't get Frontiers new mobile app to let me sign in for flight.. help desk said just go to the airport to sign in. So why bother with the app? AND when I bought tickets that seemed like a decent deal, found out AFTER buying tickets that baggage, carry-ones and most regular seats all have additional fees. I paid an extra $107.00JUST to sit down and bring my clothes in a bag."
Pros: "Frontier has modern planes, practically new. Staff was attentive. The planes are clean. Water is free. It's had air conditioning and good lighting for the seats."
Cons: "Very limited comfort on the seats, very limited space. Note only the space between the seats but also the the tray is very short. Don't think about using the tra for a laptop, tablet or phone; not even a cup of coffee fits adequately on the tray. The space under the seat is also very limited, as well as the net behind the seat. You can barely fit a bottle of water. Comfort is not what they are aiming for."
Pros: "We had a safe flight."
Cons: "To start, the app didn't work correctly for check in, so when trying to go through security, I couldn't pull up my boarding pass SO I had to get out of line and go all the way back to the check in line to print a pass. The boarding process was fine, but the seats are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Additonally, every other airline I typically fly provides a drink and snack at NO CHARGE. Not Frontier. A drink, other than water, is at least $2.99. I will do my best not to fly this airline in general and will tell the company who booked my flight that they should consider a different airline in the future."
Cons: "Our flight was cancelled for "weather" yet every other major airlines, United and Southwest, had no issues. The customer service representative was unprofessional. She was unwilling to provide any proactive assistance. In fact she offered us an alternative flight that was scheduled to depart AFTER our scheduled returning flight. Contrasting this with our experience speaking to a Southwest airline representative who was courteous and knowledgeable was unbelievable. I will never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "Showed up to the airport in New Orleans to find out my flight was canceled, but had to be told by people from another airline because the Frontier desk was vacant. Received no email, phone call, text or anything to tell me the flight was canceled. Not even one Frontier employee was at the airport to explain the situation. They just left a stack of papers to say the flight was canceled and they weren't offering anymore flights that day. Had to book one on another airline for the next day, so called Frontier to get reimbursed (they said very clearly on the paper that they would reimburse up to $400 in another airline) and spent over two hours on the phone getting passed around from person to person who said they couldn't help me. Still no idea if I'll be getting reimbursed. DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE."
Pros: "We did not crash. I appreciated that. Also, we made slightly faster time than planned."
Cons: "I had no idea that a *carry on* costs $30. That's just obscene. My GF and I took a weekend trip to Utah and brought only our backpacks because we didn't want to spend the extra dough. Lame. At Frontier, you don't even get to choose your seats without paying extra money. If you want to guarantee that you can sit in the absolute worst seats on the plane that's gonna cost you an extra $5. Sure hope we get to sit together! Lame. The seats were one step above folding lawn chairs. Lame. When the flight crew refers to the 6 inch by 3 inch "table" as a "barbie tray" that makes it funny, but no less lame. How could we top all this lameness off with a lame sauce? How about the flight crew "requesting" your attention and forcing you to sit through a 5 minute *credit card offer*. I could not believe it when the credit card offer started. Afterwards, she walked through the aisles and asked every person who dared to gaze in her general direction whether they were interested in her offer. How many were? ZERO. Before this flight I truly had no opinion about which airline I should fly, but now I do have a preference... Literally anyone other than Frontier."
Pros: "The flight arrived 10 minutes early"
Cons: "There was a lady sitting next to me with a small dog that was not in a kennel and it tried to bite not only one of the flight attendants, but me as well. The man who almost got bit told the woman that dogs should be in kennels during flights and she said "oh I don't know he's never done this before." Well awesome for you but I've never been bit by a dog on an airplane before either. The guy let it slide and moved on. The tray tables are a joke. They ONLY offer complimentary WATER. No leg room. Would not recommend."
Cons: "This airline is like something out of a comedy about bad airlines. It starts with their "low fares" that don't include basics like carryon bags and seat selection. Next are the seats, which don't even recline a little bit, are SHOCKINGLY tiny and uncomfortable, provide significantly less leg room than anything I've seen anywhere else, 4"x3" beverage trays that the flight attendants openly laugh at, and no food/beverage menus. Even the flight attendants are worse than average; a woman asked one of them if there was a bathroom in the front of the plane, and she responded that she didn't know. Just corner cutting and general low quality across the board. Oh and of course no movie or internet options. They should change their name to "no other flights at the time you needed to be there" airlines."
Cons: "waited forever to get our bags back when we got back to DC"
Cons: "Flight check-in for Frontier was so busy that I ended up going through the outdoor check-in line, even though it was well below freezing outside. The flight was delayed about 3 hours with multiple gate changes and little communication about the delays and gate changes. Most passengers learned of the changes from Frontier's website while waiting at a gate. After waiting outside in cold temperatures to hand over my checked bag, it turns out Frontier never put my bag on the plane. In fact, about 30 people had checked bags that were not put on our plane. When I tried to call the Frontier customer service phone line, it was so busy that they were not accepting calls and the system hung up on me. My bag was delivered almost 24 hours after the plane landed, but that meant I lost a day of vacation because I had to wait for someone to deliver my bag, whenever was convenient for the airline. Frontier did refund me the cost of the checked bag and gave me a $50 credit to encourage me to return as a customer. When any sort of baggage (checked or carry-on) costs at least $30, that $50 credit really is not enough to make up for their incompetence"
Pros: "Grateful that the Frontier crew got us to our destination and back safe and sound. Thank you!"
Cons: "Really shocked to see when I was checking in that we had to pay $300 in fees for our 2 carry ons, 2 checked bags AND FOR OUR SEATS! We were pretty upset about it but nothing we could do, it was a snowboarding trip so we had to carry our gear with us... So after we got over that shock, we board the plane and discover that seats don't recline, snacks and sodas come at a price ($3 for a can of coke) and there's absolutely no entertainment. All this being said, I would expect this from a low budget airline, BUT we paid a lot for our tickets. Granted it was a New Year's flight, but still, we've never seen this from any other airline. Unfortunately, we will not be choosing Frontier in the future."
Cons: "Frontier cancelled return flight without telling me and refusing to do anything other than refund 75$ or give me a flight 4 days later. Frontier refused to help with hotel or other accommodations and I had to rebook flight with delta for 350$ so I could get back home. Also, the employees from Frontier were extremely rude and refused to even look at me or even answer my questions. They said flight was cancelled due to weather reasons, but American Airlines was able to get planes running on only an hour delay. And, again, I never even had the common courtesy of a call or email, or text that my flight was cancelled! I had to find out when I got to the airport,"
Pros: "The flight was fine. It arrived on time, and I don't mind the immobile seat backs and the lack of a talk tray table."
Cons: "I received an email on Tuesday night informing me that my Thursday am flight was cancelled, due to anticipated weather (no increment weather at the time), The email provided no instructions for rebooking except a phone number. I tried rebooking on the web site, but that didn't work. The web site did not know about the cancellation at all and wanted to charge me a large rebooking fee. Meanwhile I was on hold for two hours. Finally, I needed a midnight trip to the airport in order to rebook. At the airport, I witnessed ill-informed and stressed agents failing to cope with stressed stranded customers. One agent told a customer that she refused to help him any longer because he recorded her."
Pros: "The flight was on time and the plane was clean. The crew was very friendly."
Cons: "The airline did not provide seat assignments at booking or prior to the flight. To secure seats together with my 11 year old son, I was upcharged at the airport ($85 for tow flights). No amenities were provided. Apple juice cost $3. No in flight entertainment, not even a magazine. This flight cost as much as a major airline when I booked it--the only convenience was timing back to our original airport. Add the seat up charge and I probably paid more. This experience proved to me that it might be ok to pay a little extra for a major carrier, especially on long trips."
Pros: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "I was not informed of the cancellation until 3 hours prior to flight and there was no one at the counter that could help !! They stated it was because of weather but when calling frontier directly it seems it was more because they didn't have safe and the earliest I would be able to come home on another flight of there's was Friday! No help trying to get another flight . I had to spend almost $600 on a flight from AA"
Cons: "Received email at 3:30pm that 8:15pm flight from New Orleans to Philadelphia was cancelled. Was on the way to the airport already, so didn't see the email until the lady at the desk told me it was cancelled. When I asked why, she said it was "due to weather" because it was snowy up in Philadelphia. Since they were claiming the cancellation was due to weather, they would not help arrange or pay for an alternate flight on another airline, nor cover a hotel during the time stuck there. They told us that the next flight we could take was Friday (it was Monday), which was also the day before Christmas eve. It was not snowy in Philadelphia. The plane we were supposed to be taking was arriving from Philadelphia on time. After 2hrs of being on hold and arguing with Frontier customer services, they finally admitted to my travel partner that the reason for the cancellation was actually because it would put the flight crew that they had over the legal limit of fly time without breaking/sleeping. So they lied to me completely about the reason to begin with, offered no help whatsoever to resolve the problem in a reasonable manner, and eventually admitted the real cause of the cancellation but still refused to pay for another flight. Luckily, one of my other travel companions was headed to Philadelphia via American Airlines at the same time, and had miles they were willing to let us use. Otherwise, it would have cost $2000 for the two of us to get home - or whatever it would cost to stay in a hotel for 4 nights while missing work. Never choosing them again."
Pros: "I didn't like anything ."
Cons: "I'm use to flying Delta . And that's what the problem was . When you put frontier up against Delta the difference is pretty disgusting . Frontier has no remorse for those who maybe late . If you don't check in , and aren't by the gate within 15 minutes they'll just leave you high and dry . Some people might have a dead phone , or no service . Checking in should not be life or death but with frontier it is . Also their bag policy is nothing compared to Delta . They charge $35 for a carry on bag . With Delta , your first carry on is free . Also , frontiers food menu is a disgrace . They charge $10 for a piece of cheese and that's just disgraceful . No complimentary snacks, just an airline trying to milk you for your money , and there is NO LEG ROOM , on their planes what so ever . Frontier airlines is now on my DO NOT FLY list along with Spirit airlines . Back to Delta I go !!!"
Pros: "The flight was pleasant the crew was friendly. the flight departed and landed on time."
Cons: "When I needed assistance it took the attendant at least 15 minutes to recognize my call. Another passenger had to assist. The attendant wasnt serving at the time just chatting with other passengers. i was surprised by the added fees and the seating was tight. the staff at the New Orleans terminal was borderline rude when checking bags. My friends bag was about an inch longer than the required size because of the handle and was forced to pay as a carry on. The staff in Philadelphia was more pleasant and helpful when explaining the added cost."
Cons: "Per their instructions, I arrived at the airport two hours before my flight. The line to check in was MASSIVE. Everyone was grumbling they'd never fly Frontier again. All of the airlines nearby had no line, just Frontier was a mess. This took about an hour. I asked the lady at check-in (who rudely rolled her eyes at me when I said I needed a boarding pass printed), why it was so busy and she gave me a blank stare and said "it's like this every day at this time, we have five flights going out." Sooooo they know it's like this everyday...why don't they fix the problem and have more than TWO PEOPLE behind the desk? This doesn't seem like rocket science. Security took 40 minutes too, and I told two TSA people my flight was boarding, and they just looked at me and shrugged. I've seen far better at other airports. My gate closed at 4:20. I was still in line at 4:10. Somehow I made it through and had to full out sprint to the gate. I made it at 4:18, and the gate guy said "I hate to have to close the gate on people, good thing I don't!". THIS ISN'T A JOKE. I made it, with two minutes to spare, but this was insane. I was there two hours early, it's not like I came crashing in twenty minutes before. I also watched a a young woman in line miss her flight entirely because of their slow check-in, and the desk people just looked at her and shrugged. Their lack of service and support was unbelievable and unacceptable. There is a reason these flights are so cheap, and I saw it all firsthand."
Cons: "Seats are hard and didn't move. Could maneuver to reach items that slipped to the floor. Very uncomfortable for a four hour flight. Pull down table was very very small, and had sharp surfaces that would scratch my computer case. Stewards did not stop to offer water. Shameless marketing of food items and credit cards. The only reason we booked with Frontier is because of the nonstop to DC to fly a 90+ year old. Not looking to return flight and will never do again."
Pros: "I liked the team of flight attendants and crew."
Cons: "The seats are just not comfortable. I've traveled on buses in India that were more comfortable. There's limited room and space between seats, which is frustrating as well. Plus, everything is an incremental charge/fee. Charging for bags whether they're checked or not, is not good customer service. It's inconvenient and I don't particularly like being charged for small incidentals such as coffee, juice or soda. It's another inconvenience for the customer to reach under their already cramped seat for their wallet to pay. Plus the crew of flight attendants is slowed down by the payment process. I consider this bad customer service overall by Frontier. Poor crew. I suspect they're equally as frustrated with having to indicated that everything is offered for a fee."
Cons: "My suitcase was 1 month old and in perfect condition when I arrived for my flight. When I picked it up two hours later, the main zipper had been mangled past the point of repair in such a way that once it was opened, it was impossible to zip it again. When I brought it to the attention of Frontier staff, they said that they don't offer any compensation for "just zippers." As if a suitcase is usable without a functioning zipper. They handed me a xeroxed slip with a phone number if I had a complaint - turns out it was the wrong number, and after waiting over a half hour without a person answering the phone it was crystal clear that Frontier doesn't care about repeat business."
Cons: "Price is fairly high for what constitutes "budget" flying. Charges for carry-on luggage is laughable given the high cost of a ticket--costs as much as Delta, but without all of the amenities. The plane was dirty (tray table had something brown and sticky, and seat was covered in crumbs). This experience is also on par with the previous Frontier experience I had, where the plane was dirty, and we sat on the tarmac for an hour after landing at Denver. All in all, terrible, and I will avoid flying with Frontier if at all possible in the future."
Pros: "We got there and back safely; the pilots seemed competent; the flight attendants were pleasant enough."
Cons: "Very uncomfortable and narrow seats. Carry-on AND checked bag fees; even water on the plane (poured it into a plastic cup, not a bottle) was $2.50! I didn't realize that this airline upcharges for every possible item so the ticket wasn't as cheap as I thought once I included about $60 in baggage fees. I also folded and paid $28 to choose a seat on my return flight since you have to pay to choose ANY seat, otherwise you end up in the middle. Unless there's a serious fare difference (including all the upcharges) for future flights I will not plan to fly Frontier again."
Cons: "I will NEVER fly frontier again! Besides the unexpected high extra fees the day of travel totalling about $100, my seat being reassigned without any explanation or apology and no entertainment being available, the horrible customer service on board was insurmountable. The flight attendants disrespected several passengers directly and complained about several passengers in a degrading manner to one another, a conversations that i could hear from my seat in thhe 1st row of the cabin. When one passenger had too much luggage on board one flight attendant said to him "the world is not all about you". They complained about a passenger who answered them "yes" instead of "yes please". When giving the safety instruction demonstration one flight attendant made an uncomfortable comment/joke about how a "fat person" had been wearing the life jacket before her. At one point in the flight an elderly man used the resrroom and when he returned to his seat two flight attendants made complaints about the smell and made a spectacle of using several different air fresheners while laughing and complaining about the situation. I could continue to go on with the disgraceful behavior i saw. I am so glad that i did not have to interact with them directly myself. I have never seen such unprofessional and abusive behavior by flight attendants. I am very disapppinted with the experience and will never fly with Frontier again."
Cons: "Seats are so unpadded it was like sitting 3 hours on a board. Mini-tray tables are difficult to use. I had to pay another $84 for seats and one carry-on bag before I could get a boarding pass. I did not see these costs disclosed before I booked the ticket. They do not serve ANYTHING, drinks or food, unless you buy it. The overhead light was burned out and I could not read. The flight was 45 minutes late. Our adjacent flight passengers were told to use the bathroom before they got on the plane because they would only have one working bathroom on the flight. NEVER AGAIN"
Cons: "The day after arriving at our destination, our return trip was canceled: "due to day-of-travel flight cancellation or traveler no-show." I can assure you, we did show; I had the pictures. They tried to put us on an earlier flight, which was not convenient, due to travel plans made 8 months prior, so the return flight was scheduled for the next day (again, inconvenient, due to loss of income). Frontier attempted to charge me for the extra day. After I complained multiple times, they finally waived the additional charge when I reminded them I was NOT the one who canceled the original flight. My daughter and I were provided $100 travel vouchers, each, for the "inconvenience." Frontier can keep their $200."
Pros: "I didn't even know there were air carriers who required checkin online and arriving to airport 2 hours in advance - I feel Frontier should have a huge RED warning in Kayak "check this airlines policy! They aren't the norm." Maybe their low cost model requires that most of us can't follow these and will incur fees. Also says in terms & conditions that they can bump you for any reason as flights are overbooked as a business policy. Frontier doesnt "participate" in TSA Pre - despite press reports that it would be added in Sept. (never even knew a carrier had a role except merely printing the Known Traveller number) anyway my flight cost, bc I paid to choose a seat, had a carryon & two suitcases, was similar to other airlines. I guess I appreciate a barebones model for those who need it, and the flight itself was short & perfectly fine...but frankly this airlines terrifies me and is way outside the norm - it should NOT be grouped with other reputable lost cost carriers like Southwest."
Cons: "Airport arrival. No TSA Pre. Bag fees. Terms & conditions say they can bump you anytime."
Pros: "I liked the one crew member who greeted me as I steeped on the plane. She was very warm. She was African American and blond hair. Very sweet."
Cons: "The rest of the crew seemed bitter and grumpy. From the person announcing that it was time to board, to the person taking drink orders. Especially the person taking drink orders. She was pissy when I asked for gin, because she had to go look for it. She was agrivated when I asked if I had to buy the mixer separate, as it was my very first time on frontier. They didn't have gin though it was on the menu, as expensive as the alcohol was that I did buy, the mixer should have come with it. The fact that one has to pay for a carry on is ridiculous! On to of it all the flour was late boarding. I was not impressed with frontier. I'm not sure I would ever be confident recommending it to people because of poor customer service, price, and tardiness. My name is jorge Sisson feel free to call me 5044289402"
Pros: "The flight was smooth, despite heavy turbulence. Flight attendants kept their composure despite very irate passengers."
Cons: "This was a memorably bad experience in being at the wrong end of incompetent management. While at the departure gate, the Frontier rep at the kiosk informed everyone in overly casual vernacular that, "looks like the flight will be delayed an hour or so because the crew feels tired, and doesn't want to fly another leg, so we're going to try try to find another crew." In other words, you'll be late not because of weather or anything out of Frontier's managerial control. Quite the opposite - you'll be arriving late because we're incompetent at organizational management of human resources. An hour and fifteen minutes delay followed, with some confusion. Arriving in DC, we enjoyed that same fresh honesty when the Captain announced, upon pulling aside the gate, that, "Folks I'm not sure what's taking the gate crew so long, but there doesn't seem to be anyone pushing the ramp out for us to exit - please hold tight." That was after 10 minutes of mysterious inaction. Another 30-40 followed. Finally, after an accidental "ping" that prompted passengers to stand--only to be told to sit back down as the plane wasn't affixed yet to the gate--everyone stood on the second, correct announcement to offload. If only. They then tried to get passengers to sit back down b/c a different Frontier crew and a pilot needed, from their middle seats, to get off first. Passengers started booing. I've seen a flight like that. Didn't even describe one truly out-of-line passenger up front who lost his temper and refused to comply. Again - a very memorable experience. And not in a good way."
Pros: "The staff were friendly and everything went smoothly during the trip."
Cons: "The seats have very little legroom, the trays are about the size of a small book, and the seats don't recline. These planes weren't made to maximize comfort, but the prices are typically the lowest if you're excluding things like checked luggage and seat selection fees."
Pros: "Sure, the price is good and the flights direct."
Cons: "What kind of actual airline won't even give you get a dinky glass of diet coke or cup of coffee without paying for it? And a $40 checked bag fee at the airport? I get that these foregone luxuries are what allows the prices to be low, but it's just not worth it to spend the whole flight feeling completely unappreciated, uncomfortable, and nicked-and-dimed. My friend even prepaid for a reserved window seat, and was told upon arrival that the seat was someone else's. They said they'd refund her, but obviously that was not the outcome she wanted nor originally paid for. Not to mention no entertainment, no earbuds, not even a semi-comfortable head rest of any kind. I'll shell out the $50 or whatever more next time to feel like I'm not getting ripped off. Also, flights both ways were delayed, but the staff still feels the need to shame you for not showing up at the original boarding time."
Cons: "The plane is uncomfortable, crowded, I have paying for baggage and water and seat assignments. I would rather know all of the costs upfront. One customer brought so much luggage on the plane that they took up an entire overhead bin, leaving the rest of the passengers who paid for luggage without any space. The crew did nothing about this. I am frustrated with Frontier based on my last several experiences flying with them, and will look for another airline next time. Also, Frontier doesn't do TSA pre-check, which is annoying since it is a service I've already paid for."
Cons: "The plane was not cleaned before we got on. There was trash all over the floor and food and gum on one of the trays next to us."
Pros: "I am a frequesnt flyer on all Major airlines and very frequent business traveler. This is the First and LAST time I will fly Frontier"
Cons: "I am a frequesnt flyer on all Major airlines and very frequent business traveler. This is the First and LAST time I will fly Frontier"
Pros: "Finally landing at 2:00 am with my luggage finally showing up"
Cons: "1. 4:30pm flight had a FOUR hour delay!! No communication as to why. Empty plane finally arrived. 2. Got back east at 2am on a Sunday night, yet still had a long wait in an abandoned airport for luggage. 3. Got scammed by LOW ticket price, and then RIPPED OFF by exorbitant baggage fees...bringing the low price right back up there. 4. I could have paid another airline the same $$, and gotten FREE water and a magazine! Nickel and dimed everything. 5. Difficult to rate staff, because with no service, no interaction...except to 'fasten your seatbelt'. Boarding was boarding. Nothing to rate. 6. Offered $$ off my next flight b/c of the delay, but it expired in 60 days...REALLY? Yeah, the average Joe who flies this airline will SURELY be traveling again in a few months. LAME. Not worth the risk of flying this airline again, IMO."
Cons: "No where when I was booking my flight was stated that I would have to pay to reserve a seat. I understand paying more for extra leg room but charging just to pick a seat in the back of the plane is rediculous and makes me never want to fly frontier anymore. I usually love flying frontier, but it makes me pick another airline. The flight was delayed 3 hours and I understand that things happen, but we were never told why our flight was delayed. The flight attendants were OK this trip. Usually I find Frontier flight attendants to be very friendly and seems to love their jobs, but this flight they were not the friendliest."
Pros: "Was nice we got a voucher for a meal while delayed... Airport passed out water and granola bars a couple of times Mats and Blankets were passed out.. not near enough and had to sleep on the floor!!!!"
Cons: "The VERY long lines for changes.. seems like could have had more stafff to help out??? or something easier on line for changes??? Tried the web site several times to get updates and info and could not access.. guess too many at one time??? Don't know the answer.... hard to understand why Frontier not flying out day after when other airlines are??? I don't fly much - REALLY hard to look forward to looking forward to future times when things happen... realize the snow storm wasn't their fault.. BUT..."
