This flight was fine. The captain did a good job of keeping us informed, the flight attendants were friendly and cheerful, the flight left on time and landed on time. There was no food or entertainment because it was such a short flight. The survey should have allowed an option of "not relevant" for those ratings.

The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Once I went down and asked Information, they stated that I did not need to pick up my bags as they would in fact be transportated to my final destination. When I told AeroMexico about this.. they didn’t seem to care that they were saying something completely different to everyone on their planes. In the future I will avoid booking with Aero Mexico.. I felt vulnerable and that Mexico didn’t have its clients in their best interest. Additionally, their lack of WiFi is embarrassingly cheap of them. Guatemala has free wifi, I assumed everywhere provides wifi for its visitors. Mexico supposedly gives you 5 min free and they don’t make that easy to access."

But from the moment we boarded the flight attendant was unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked for help putting a heavy bag in the overhead compartment. She half-heartedly tried and then told me it "didn't fit". By simply turning it on its side, I was able to easily make it fit, but it was uncomfortable for me to have to do so while also holding my baby! The flight attendant then commented that I couldn't have the child in a carrier during the flight (something I am well aware of!). She also neglected to offer us a snack later on. Overall, she was rude and inconsiderate and made a difficult trip more unpleasant."

Cons: " the "group system" boarding process arranges passengers in an aleatory way making the process totally chaotic. For instance last groups are the last ones to enter the aircraft and don't easily find space for the hand luggage. They have to accommodate bags under the front seat making the already uncomfortable trip more painful. Also this process may delay the departure time.  Food service is terrible. no options, specially for kids or people with food restrictions. Not even the payed ones offer healthy food alternatives.  No comfort at all for a flight that departs little before midnight and arrives at 7 am at its destination. They forgot about the pillows and blankets you find in other airlines.  at the end, when I collected my baggage I realized 1 wheel was missing from one of my suitcases. I informed the airline and 3 days later I receive an email saying that the airline is not responsible for damages that include wheels and other "baggage accessories" I did not rate the flight poor because at least it manages to arrive to its final destination..."

Cons: "We arrived at St Stomas airport 85 minutes profile to our flights departure. The female manager, Latoya, at the desk was overly rude and completely out of line the way she was speaking to guests. Apparently American Airlines requests 90 minutes before departure to check you in, however their website does say they will try to accomadate customers that have arrived late. This employee refused 24 people access to the flight that we had booked and paid for. She related that she could put everyone on standby for the next and final flight out of Saint Thomas and standby for multiple connecting flights from Miami to many different parts of the country. This is because American Airlines over books their flights on purpose and has no problem leaving people stranded at an airport. Another employee related that it was easily accomplished to confirm is for the flight as we would have plenty of time prior to boarding since the aircraft had yet to arrive from its original location. American Airlines would not speak to any of the paid customers and would not look into other flights to see if there were other options to get customers home. When we boarded the plane there were still 4 customers that American Airlines stranded at the airport with no more flights out of the airport that day. This was an absolute disgrace and it was disgusting to see how the American Airlines staff were treating people. Their companies customer service has nothing to say other then sorry. I will never fly American Airlines again and now know why so many other people also feel this way."

I ASKED AN ATTENDANT WHY THIS WAS SO GIVEN WE WERE TOLD THE BINS WERE FILLED JUST AS WE BOARDING FROM THE DEPARTURE AREA. SHE WAS POLITE AND SAID SHE WASN'T SURE ABOUT WHO MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE TERMINAL BUT THAT IN ANY EVENT MY CARRY ON WOULD ARRIVE SAFE AND SOUND IN VANCOUVER - IT DID BUT WITH MY BOOK FOOD SNACK WHICH i HAD INTENDED TO USE WHILE ON MY WAY TO CHI. AND VAN."

After paying once for my checked bag they tried to make me pay again. Asked to see in writing what they were trying to explain and the manager couldn't do it. They never gave me my ticket stub for my checked bag. So if it hadn't arrived I wouldn't have had anyway to find it. Very disappointing staff in SFO. Seemed aa if no one at SFO was happy to be working there or even worse didnt know what to do most of the time. VERY different than the DEN united experience."

Cons: "I cancelled my flight within 24hrs and received no refund because I booked through priceline. However, there was no restriction or clause listed on the ticket stating that I had to cancel through priceline also. It really should not matter who I cancelled through, if I canceled within 24hrs the refund should be given. Also, the debits from my account said United as well as priceline taking me to United's web page to make the purchase. So of course one would think cancelling through United's site is appropriate. I'm very disappointed in United and will consider all other options (Airlines) before booking with them again. PS - United customer gave me the run around for 3 days knowing that it was their policy and they were the company who's keeping my money. Absolutely ridiculous."

Pros: "First of all, I was excited to get to Puerto Vallarta! Unfortunately, we had a delay due to a child who got sick as the plane was backing from the gate. The crew was fantastic and had paramedics load the plane to check on toddler. The family deboarded and United crew cleaned the throw up. The pilots kept the passengers informed and we proceeded with the flight. The flight attendants were fantastic, particularly the brunette attendant who remembered me from a previous flight. Best flight attendant ever!! Thank you United!!!"
Pros: "I arrived at the aurport 1 hr 20 mins before flight - plenty if time to check in and make it to gate at a small airport ad Newark is. Wanted to check in online - the United System did not allow me to. Had to wait in line - long line due to holidays. I raised my hand and asked for assistance given the impending 1 hr cut off time for check in. Was told I should go to the special assustance line. Well, guess what - that line which was meant to be express service for fliers with special situations was moving with the speed of a tortoise - slower than the general line. Only 2 flight assistants were servicing, both incredibly slow. When asked politely that I need special assistance as I was approaching the 1 hr cut iff fir checkin, the United lady yelled at me instead of speeding up her slow motion. Bottom line, I missed my flight on a tiny airport dedpite arriving 1 hr 20 mins before flight. Had to wait 14 hrs overnight at the airport to catch the next flight because the United Airlines personnel are lazy, slow, inefficient, rude and no customer oriented. Terrible service."
Cons: "Kayak did not provide me with confirming email for flight in either direction and I missed my first flight to LA from Portland This is the second time I was not contacted via email from Kayak on flight reservations"

Cons: "I didn't like the fact that before boarding they offered to check peoples bags for free because so many people were trying to take ridiculous sized bags onto the plane. I always pay to check my bag . That process took for ever but we did still arrive on time."
Cons: "it took me three days to get home. the first plane had a mechanical error. the second flight united booked me on was over booked so i didnt get a seat. the third flight they tried to send me on was also over booked. luckily someone volunteered to give up their seat."
Pros: "We stood in line forever to then be told the clerk couldn't ch we ck us in. When we tried the kiosk it didn’t work. Long story short we missed our flight due to their poor organization of the line and crowd."

Cons: "No agent to check in when I arrived at airport. Only at gate. No advance check in or advance seating. Allowed passengers to have more than 2 bags. Flight was late. No help getting to next gate or holding aircraft. Absolutely uncomfortable sitting."

Cons: "Had to purchase new flight day of, as I was told of flight cancellation 5 hours before leaving to the airport. I then had to spend $500 on a new flight, and one of the connections refused to let me on the plane. Stil not home."

Cons: "Never flying United again. On my way to the airport in Portland I got a text from United that my flight to Newark had been cancelled and there was no way to fly me out of Portland to San Diego that day. My sister had to drive me to Boston so I could catch a flight to San Francisco, which took 6.5 hours because it flew over most of Canada for some reason AND had three babies that cried from start to finish. Oh and because I was a late addition, I had a middle seat. The second I turned my phone on after we landed I had another yet another text from United saying that my connection to San Diego had been delayed three hours and wouldn't take off until 11:15 pm."
Cons: "Tried to get assistance at the United desk where my gate was located at and they could not answer any of my questions and would not assist me or many others who had the same issues."
Pros: "It was a great experience overall"
Cons: "Payed to upgrade seat was not comfortable and person next to me kept moving onto my side. Flight was 2 hours late so I missed my connection and had a terrible time to find a flight home. United staff was not helpful and kept telling me to go somewhere else for help. No food was served only tiny packet of way too spicy pretzels. Sat on the runway for an hour. Flight crew said 15 min and it was much longer. Crew seemed to be really confused."
