Pros: When checking in, I was upgraded to business without knowing it until I looked at my boarding passes. This was a good surprise of course.

Cons: There were headphones (as well as pillows and blankets, much appreciated), but the jacks for the headphones only fit the SwissAir headphones, so if passengers brought their own headphones, they could only get a mono output. It was difficult to hear the entertainment through only one ear.

It was a Swiss Airline Employee. Never had that happen even in the USA.

Cons: Service was poor - several of the staff seemed to be inexperienced and not very customer service oriented. The boarding process was chaotic at the gate - customs were there to check in but quite a few people were unaware (not many announcements). Also, the Economy boarding process wasn't clear and chaotic (i.e., not by row and you also didn't know when you could board. Also, the person in front of me kept reclining her seat and it went back too far. I didn't want to do the same to the person behind me so it was quite uncomfortable.

Cons: For a 5' 4" person like myself, arm and leg room were barely minimal, Economy seats were crammed together and were not ergonomically designed for comfort or support. I was fortunate to be able to move from my center seat to an aisle seat once the flight was in progress. As soon as I did, the air around me was cooler and made for more comfortable breathing. In the center seat, the air was still and close—very uncomfortable. Poor communication regarding passport control protocol at the departure gate: A temporary station was set up, labeled Passport Control, but no SWISS agent announced what was happening. I had just gone through a passport control line on a lower level so I didn't think I had to go through a similar process at the gate. Most people around me also didn't know whether they had to go through the process at the gate. Once agents had been questioned on the subject several times, they should have made a general announcement to inform everyone at the gate. They did not. The food on the plane was the usual poor quality fare for economy class—either highly processed or overcooked and much too salty. Ugh.

When we reached our gate, we then waited in a long line to have our passports and boarding passes checked again. There were several Swissair crew members, but only one person to check all of the paperwork for economy. Then another long line to show our boarding passes again, while the business class entrance remained unused. Swissair needs someone to manage this better.

Boarding on this last flight... Nov 2 from Zurich seemed a bit frenetic. Passports we checked once again and this seemed to be taking an extra long time. Cons: I do not like the cramped space that we are in. It was difficult for my husband and I to get in and out of our seats. The passenger in front of me pushed her seat back and it seemed as though she was righ in my face. She could not go upright as the person in front of her was pushed all the way back. This situation also makes eating difficult. The flight yesterday was extremely warm, which I had not experienced on my three former flights. I guess I will try your airlines once more and see how it is for a third trip.

Pros: the entertainment system was perfect, there were lots of movies and shows to entertain you, including newly release films. there were games and music also availble. the seating was comfortable we had blankets and pillows. The beverage service great and the food was good to. although there could have been better options in terms of the dessert ( ice cream taht was provided)
Cons: the boarding was poor, we waited in line to board and they did not announce to us that we need to have our ticket stamped before we got to the door, as a result we were sent out of line once the ticket was stamped we had to rejoin the line from the back. When i got through they then said something was wrong with my ticket in which they took it and I was pulled out of the line. they should try to the ticket check and the boarding line at the same time

Cons: Found my business class seat given away to a lady with a dog. Mine was window but with extra table next to aisle. She had aisle seat but with exactly the same configuration. Idea was she would place the dog on the table space next to her seat. It would be exactly the same for both seats. Do not know what they were thinking. There were other business class seats on the other side that had the table space ext to the window away from the aisle. That would make sense for the lady with dog. Business class was full and I was the last to get on, 45 minute connection in Zurich from terminal A to E, my seat was given. But as I objected, they moved the dog lady and gave me back my seat. But they never asked a person in the seat that would have made sense to give her to trade seats.

Pros: The Germans are known for their efficiency and Lufthansa followed through with that. From the check-in process to cabin service, all was top notch. As I was sitting near the front of economy, any "extra" economy plus meals were handed out as to avoid waste. I was the recipient of a delicious Caprese salad. A nice treat.

Pros: Easily the most comfortable I've ever been in TATL economy. Lufthansa's 747-8 is set up strangely: the main deck is arranged First - Business - Economy - Prem. Economy - Economy. This means that if you can book a seat in the forward economy mini-cabin, you get dedicated cabin crew, no other passengers walking through your space to get to the bathroom, plenty of bin space, and – best of all – a lot of aisle space to stretch your legs. Row 16 aisle seats are especially good, as the bulkhead between J and Y doesn't extend all the way, and therefore you can stretch your feet out. Food was actually excellent (for economy), hot and flavorful and generous, with snacks available mid-flight. Beverages also tops – gotta love Lufthansa for offering Campari (!) and more than one wine choice.
Cons: Entertainment (music and movies at least) was up-to-date but not very interested. Boarding and transit security in Frankfurt was anxiety-inducing – between getting to the US departures area and additional screening, it took more than an hour from deplaning to getting in line. Boarding w/o group numbers was an exercise in patience. And the terminal wifi is so spotty!

Cons: The boarding Crew treated the passengers unfairly...your staff should learn how to board a plain...by starting: women with children n handicapped people first, the business/first class, the economy passengers...that's how you do it...there was no organization to board the plane and the ticket agent was wrong on the advertisements instructions. Get rid of cheap wine, our tickets are very expensive..you can afford good wine. I got a headache with your cheap wine... Your also not allowed to do early check in...with your system.

Pros: Lufthansa pilots are some of the best in the industry and the flight was extremely smooth from take off to landing. There were bouts of turbulence but the pilot immediately changed altitudes to steer away from it. Flying on the 748 is a pleasure and it's a shame these great planes will eventually all be phased out in favor of more fuel efficient 787s and their Airbus counterparts.
Cons: Having to pay 86€ for a second suitcase that weighed just 15kg. In JFK they didn't charge me but Germans always go by the book. I think for the price of the ticket and lower gasoline costs compared to the height of the recession this is simply outrageous. Next time I'll pay for economy plus. You get a seat that is wider than economy but a little bit less legroom than a business one and the second baggage is included. The meal was nothing special but the friendliness of the flight attendants made up for it.

Cons: Worst crew, at one point when they start serving lunch they left like 10 people waiting and waiting to be served also, they start to put together some lunch one by one, took maybe another 1/2 hour for some people to get food, i was the last one to get served but when they got some leftovers from some other people they put that on my tray for me, they run out of food in the plane, of course i refused the lunch but no other option for me was given, again WORST crew ever, never flight Lufthansa again, NEVER

Pros: I like that the flight crew did the best they could to make sure my husband and I were sitting together with one child.
Cons: I did like that my whole family including two children 2 ad 6 were sitting all separately all over the plane. Children 12 and under should not be seated separately. And that should be the job during the check in. Not during birding.

Cons: I was actually upgraded to Business Class through a LH miles award, however, that upgrade was not honored, despite the fact that I had a confirmation email from them. I had to first get to Frankfurt to even negotiate this problem. At the departure point, LH was unable to furnish me a boarding pass to my NY flight. After racing though the huge airport at max speed to make this connection, I was treated rudely at the gate in Frankfurt by LH short tempered ground staff, to the point of even being accused of being the source of the problem and being late for boarding (when I was only accorded an hour connection through this booking, and raised this concern with LH prior). Lastly, the ground crew took away my connecting flight boarding pass and nearly forgot to give me back my luggage tag. The flight crew was Ok, but just did a bare minimum to keep up with the packed and overbooked flight. To top of the joy, I got food poisoning after landing in NYC - not all food they serve was in sealed containers, and it must have been enough to cause a day of misery that followed my arrival - I can assure you that the late time and taxing and docking delays in NYC took away any opportunity to have a normal dinner, and LH food was all I had all day... Not the usual LH experience, but I may give them a break for the next few trips.

Pros: Professional, friendly, helpful staff in a new, quiet plane (A380-800). Smooth landing. Easy disembarkment despite approximately 500 passengers from a large aircraft.
Cons: Unreliable domestic Lufthansa flights (in Germany) connected to this international one, and the departure time history for this LH400 proved typical for this flight, which ultimately left nearly 2 hours late despite good local weather. An announcement cited technical difficulties with the originally scheduled plane. Several small groups we recognized from embarkation on this LH400 flight filed lost luggage claims, as we did. Uncharacteristically bad planning by LH on food choices left our rows near the front of Economy without a choice of meals: only pasta, tasty though it was, was available. The chicken option was gone. The flight status video program function did not work for anybody near us despite three equipment restarts by the crew.

Cons: On May 16, 2017, there was a group of Albanian and American passengers rushing through Frankfurt Airport to catch the connecting flight to New York. Their first flight (LH#1425) from Tirana to Frankfurt was 45 minutes late causing them to eventually miss their connecting flight. At this point, the passengers were asked to show their passports, separating the US citizens from the rest. All the US citizens were loaded on a bus and provided hotel, dinner and breakfast. The Albanian citizens were moved to the lower level of the airport where they were left to freeze all night. Some of the passengers were elderly and had their heart or high blood pressure medications in their luggage that they didn’t have access to. One US-Albanian citizen was asked to separate from his Green-Card holder wife in order to receive the US citizen treatment…

Cons: Delays in departure from Hamburg. Lack of information, directions or assistance with connection. No notification and very poor handling of missing luggage claim processing. Poor service for such a professional airline. Bags missed the flight and we were kept waiting me re than an hour to process a claim.

Pros: The 747-8 is a nice new plane. The skinny Economy class seats are surprisingly comfortable. The entertainment system is good; I liked getting the feed from the forward-facing camera.
Cons: Since last I flew with them, Lufthansa has added annoying charges like so many other airlines (but not usually full-service international airlines). Advance seat reservation was $30 per leg and seat. (I paid only for the overnight eastbound flight; on the return I found enough seats available by online check-in just after it opened.) One overweight bag was $100. Considering these charges, Singapore Airlines is the better choice for FRA-JFK. Minor quibbles with the entertainment system: * Front-facing camera points very low. Would be nice to see other planes during taxi (not just their wheels). * New "live map" during flight added useless gimmicks (view of earth from space), removed data (altitude, speed, outside temperature).

Pros: I flew in Business Class from JFK to Munich and then back to JFK via Frankfort. Both flights were on time and very smooth overall in both directions. The cabin crew was good both ways and all spoke English well. Lufthansa long haul flights still use the older 2 x 2 x 2 seating arrangement (unlike the more modern and common 1 x 2 x 1 arrangement where all seats have aisle access)...so if you don't want someone crawling over you trying to get to the toilet while you are trying to sleep be sure to choose a center seat (both with direct aisle access.) While not totally uncomfortable, the Lufthansa business class sleeper seats are narrower...less well padded...and have less recline options than those used by most other long haul airlines, especially the very narrow foot-wells. The pillows and blankets could be better too. The food was OK - but not on a par with what most other airlines serve on long haul flights. The JFK to Munich flight was non-problematic in all respects. However, there was a screaming baby in my aisle (Row 4 on a 747-8 only 2 seats away from me) on the Frankfort to JFK leg...which I found TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Cons: What airline would permit a lap baby (less than 2 years old...a periodic screamer...and totally unmanageable by its solo-travelling mother) to occupy it's Business Class section on a 7+ hour flight - while inconveniencing (and aggravating) all other nearby Business Class passengers who paid thousands of dollars/euros to ride in Business Class so they don't have to put up with this kind of nonsense? The answer is: "LUFTHANSA!!! And YES, this actually happened on my Frankfort to JFK flight (LH 400 on 23 January 2017.) I'm not sure if the woman in question paid for two seats or not but this unmanageable kid finally calmed down and fell asleep - but he did so in the seat next to her. If this unmanageable lap kid was allowed to do everything he did (including to use a Business Class seat for free IF that is what actually happened) then this just adds insult to injury. WAKE UP LUFTHANSA!!! People pay huge sums to ride in Business Class to avoid this situation - and it's time you BANNED this situation from even occurring.

Pros: The Lufthansa crew in Munich was very helpful when my boarding pass would not go through - I was not told I needed a new pass for that flight (as the first one had been cancelled and rebooked: 2 Air Berlin flights). No one was of help until this point, and the Lufthansa crew even offered to check on my baggage for us only to notice it never left Berlin; we didn't get it for 3 days. This did not surprise me because last time I flew Air Berlin for an 8 day cycling & camping trip, I didn't see my bike for 5 days (you can imagine this sort of ruins the entire point of the trip). After reading a lot of complaints with Air Berlin and never hearing back from their customer service (ever) after numerous forms filled out, I knew checking our bags with Air Berlin from the start would mean we wouldn't see them in New York. I even said to the Air Berlin employee at check in that I refused to check my bag because of my past experience and he "assured" me my bag would be at JFK when I got there. Ha. It was nice to see the Lufthansa crew shocked at how poorly this trip home was working out for my husband and I.
Cons: After the cancelled flight, we were very disappointed to be rebooked with Air Berlin. We do not want to fly Lufthansa if they are so closely associated with Air Berlin, and will tell our friends the same.

Cons: The plane was half way full, i had the seat in the economy section same like a big guy, at one point i asked the flight attendant if i can change my seat to another economy seat (I didn't want a free upgrade) because the guy in my right could fit in his seat with the arm rest down and it was getting uncomfortable for me. She told me if i want a upgrade, witch I refuse to get and didn't help me in any way with the problem that i had. I think for cases like this even though it's an economy seat it still cost 750$ and for a 9h flight witch transformed in a 14h flight because weather condition and fueling problems, flight attendants should be more mindful with the guest confort rather than upselling. Lufthansa it's a geat company with great airplanes but i think that in order to get people to come back you should treat people in the economy class like normal people that pay a price nothing close to the word economy

Pros: Very polite and attentive service. Took off and arrived on time, Plane seems new and clean.
Cons: Seat 31G had extra legroom. That was great, but no one told me that it would be a few inches narrower than normal economy. The elbow rest had a single layer and thus couldn't be shared with the adjacent passenger. I'm 220 lbs and he was around the same size. I literally spent the entire flight with my arms crossed to avoid pressing into him. That seat is meant for kids or very thin people. There should be a warning.

Pros: Staff was very attentive to the children. Ability to follow the flight with the cameras. Person in front of us leaned his seat back and I was unable to get out due to an injured left arm. He did agree to move forward when we requested.
Cons: No choice on food. Bathroom ran out of toilet paper, even tho we had reported that it was getting low.

Pros: Overall a pretty good flight.
Cons: The in-flight wasn't working, so no movies on a nine hour flight.

Cons: I have flown with Lufthansa before and this is the first time I have had a cabin crew be rude. She came over to ask me if I wanted to switch my seat with someone and I said I enjoy my window seat and the middle seat she wanted me to switch to makes me feel castrophobic. She then proceeded to role her eyes and just walk away. It was very rude and disturbing of her to do that to a passenger. And on top of the rude service, my chair was not reclining causing the flight to be uncomfortable. I feel as though I have to think twice before traveling with Lufthansa again.

Pros: As I noted above, both LH crews worked well. They were very professional, spoke languages as needed, accommodated passengers' requests, served edible food (mostly) and were visible and available throughout. The long-distance Airbus plane was comfortable enough. I like the idea of putting all the bathrooms downstairs ... but ...
Cons: ... putting all the bathrooms downstairs might create difficulties for handicapped passengers. I am not sure how this is handled; perhaps help is provided, or perhaps there is one bathroom at flight-level.

Pros: The crew in my area were very helpful. The young guy next to me passed on the dinner choices. The crew member came back and asked if he would like some pretzels, etc. which I thought was very nice. They were very friendly.
Cons: Just a suggestion that the ear jacks for the entertainment be passed out earlier. Luckily I brought my own but my neighbors on both sides had a long wait until they were passed out.

Cons: I paid extra to book early so I could be assure of a seat with a view and so I could sit with my husband. Iberia charged my credit card 55.00 for the service and then, without my knowledge Iberia changed my seats and denied charging me extra. I have papers to prove my claim and will dispute the charges with my credit card company. The communication between flight attendants and passengers was horrible. Those of us who had not eaten yet (about half the plane in economy seating) watched the flight attendants bring out extra bread to all of the other economy passengers who had already received their meals, while we, who had not eaten yet, watched. My husband inquired if we were also receiving meals. He was told that everyone would eventually receive a meal. Horrible customer service, the worst ever. Later, before landing the pilot cancelled beverage and snack service because of possible weather conditions but never put the seat belt sign on until we began our decent. Nothing made any sense. It was like a crazy person was in charge. I would not trust Iberia to take me anywhere in the future.

Cons: Awful. My departing city (ZAG) was unable to process tickets for my connecting flight. Upon arrival to (MAD) the gate agent was distributing tickets on a 1st name basis. Literally just handing out tickets without verifying IDs. Not all us PAX received a ticket and were instructed to go to the customer service desk, all the while boarding was ACTIVE at the gate. While at the customer service desk, Iberia showed little attention and/or urgency for us folks who did not have our connecting flight credentials. I finally received a hand-written ticket to board an international flight. My original seat selection was not honored. The overall flight experience was poor and NOT enjoyable.

Cons: Seats small and uncomfortable. My seat did not recline for 8 1/2-9 hours (middle seat-even after told it was a good seat). My sons entertainment screen did not work for the last 3 1/2 hours. The stewardess’ didn’t even respond to the call light and after myself and sister walked back there, nothing was done. Stewardess’ sat and talked in the back and never walked around. When the finally brought drinks, never even asked why the light was on. They also were extremely unfriendly because our incoming flight from Malaga was late . All 4 pieces of luggage missed the flight and in NYC we had to ask for robes to sleep in and tooth brushes. we felt horrible flying the next day. Three pieces of luggage came 2 days later that we had to go back to airport to get. The fourth was delivered one week later with only 3 wheels!

Pros: This trip would have been another good experience for me flying with Iberia if it wasn't for the man that was sitting behind me. He didn't want me to recline my seat because he wanted to cross his legs... I told him that the guy in front of me had his seat reclined all the way and I wanted (sort of needed) to do the same, then he got aggressive with verbal abuse, called me names and he punched my seat. So I called the flight attendant and told her about the incident. She was nice and calm and told the man in a very respectful way that I wasn't doing anything wrong and he should not behave in an aggressive manner, etc. The man kept mumbling insults addressed to me while talking to his wife and making sure I was hearing it.... And he kept kicking my seat every now and then, and made a fuss every time he went to the toilet. He really ruined my flight experience to New York.

Cons: The temperature on the flight was VERY hot and uncomfortable! Seats were very cramped and uncomfortable. Not at all an enjoyable experience. Flight was delayed and passengers were bussed to another aircraft for outside boarding. Connecting in New York was very rushed and stressful due to the delay.

Pros: Entertainment package consisting of up-to-date TV shows/ series and movies that have recently been released. The time passed by faster than expected with this. The meal plan was better than some restaurants. With Meatballs being the main course followed by rice & veggies and finished with the sugar cake.
Cons: Having the seat by the bathroom. Even though passengers were instructed not to form a line, they did and were encroaching in my personal space for the majority of the flight. Though this is not an airline issue, it did effect the comfort of the 4.6hr flight.

Cons: We were delayed two hours after boarding while the ventilation system was repaired. Some people got water...others not. We were the one not given water.

Cons: Connecting flight by the same airline put us only 10 mil late. The plane was still at the gate, but they did not let 15+ of us on board and left. We had to wait for 2 hours at a very unfriendly customer service to get placed on another flight.

Pros: I flew business class: the crew and comfort was great; the food was pretty good.
Cons: Boarding was horrendous: they have the whole flight stand and wait to board! In Madrid, they called to initiate boarding and we stood for 15-20 min before anyone moved at all; business class was then called, and we ended up standing another 15-20 min in the jetway before being ushered into the plane! Even in business class, the entertainment system was poor it's difficult to use and my system froze entirely on the way to Madrid. It worked on the way back, but the selection was relatively limited and poor.

Cons: The company is not good on following schedules, jeopardizing people's duties and responsibilities. Definitely not recommending this company to anyone!

Cons: Boarding was extremely disorganized and hectic. No lines or sections were created to organize boarding process. Boarding area was crammed with people pushing to board. Seat selections of many passengers (including my boyfriend's and my own) were switched at the last minute right as we were boarding . We had to wait until everyone was seated to negotiate seat changes with fellow passengers in order to sit together. The seat and luggage moves added to the chaos on the plane and delayed the flight by about 45 minutes. food was mediocre, seats uncomfortable. All in all not a good experience. Had boarding been calmer and smoother the rest of the issues wouldn't be as notable as us passengers would have been in a much better mood.

Cons: After a delayed flight coming to Madrid, I was faced with an unbelievably long boarding control line, it seemed clear that I would miss my flight! Crew then stopped all people from going up to the security check point except those headed to London! But I was going to miss my flight to JFK also. This process was so poorly managed!!!! The crowd became very angry, some people even started pushing, yelling and becoming violent. I feared for my safety. I pleaded with a crew member to let me through, and eventually she did, but the process was frightening and chaotic!!!

Pros: Roomier plane than the one I took to Madrid.
Cons: Group system to queue on line was okay but people still seemed confused. Crew forgot some people's request. Bathrooms were smelly and dirty only after two hours on plane.

Pros: A really big and nice dinner, followed by bloody mary. An ice cream was served some hours later, followed by a nice breakfast sandwich and cake before landing. All this on an evening flight from London, ending in NYC before midnight.
Cons: An option to cover up all the screens and lights..Blue light especially prevent sleep. I was half asleep on the subway home.

Pros: Iberia has started upgrading their planes and this one was quite comfortable for a long flight with good legroom and comfortable seats.
Cons: We boarded 20 minutes late with no explanation, then took off another 30 minutes late with no explanation or communication at all. The flight attendants were not friendly or helpful. The food was mediocre. Our entertainment system was not working at all for half the flight, they reset it about four times to get it working. Once it was working, my husband's screen was not responding at all. Flight was smooth and pilots made up some time in the air which was appreciated.

My husband left his iPad on the plane, and realized as soon as we stepped off, but they refused to let us retrieve it. Instead, they went us through this ridiculous online process, where they determined they found the iPad, but "rejected our request to have it returned"!!!!!! The absolute worst!!

Cons: We ended up flying to Paris on Air France because it was the only flight left after RAM screwed us over. Cost me $1800 dollars and no chance to retrieve my money back unless someone sends me a letter saying someone screwed up. Need help please!

Cons: Very impatient flight attendant. She was really rude to me. Seats were very uncomfortable. The flight was held on the tarmac both departing and arriving to JFK. Botj creating a delay.

Cons: We didn't get our boarding pass for the connection flight which caused a lot of problems when we got to NY. The airline attendant didn't say there was a problem with out itinerary. We found out until we got to NY and we were giving our luggage to Iberia for our connection. The person there said we were in the wrong airport! We had just landed there and our connection was leaving from there too JFK! He said there was nothing he could do and he sent us to the other airline counter to see if they would help us!

Cons: 1st leg of trip, Flight was delayed an hour, original layover for 2nd leg was 1hr 15mins, so once we hit the ground we were pressed to get deplaned and on to the next gate because the Flight was still showing original on time take off time. Gate was changed, moved further away from arrival gate so many passengers ran to catch a plane that was supposed to be taking off in 10 mins, but when we arrived at the gate, boarding hadn't even started! Info at gate still showed on time take off. We didn't take off for another hour!

I don’t like the feeling of having to always pay. If you want people to not carry on so much stop charging (especially on international flights) to check bags.

Cons: The person making announcements mumbled and spoke too softly for someone who's announcing things on a flight. We couldn't understand half of everything being said. Also both flights departed late even though TAP reported them as "on time." We sat at the gate for almost an hour before departing with announcements at that time solely in a Portuguese - on a flight going to New York.

Cons: Wasn't told that baggage wasn't included in my fee. Had to pay 170 Euros at the airport to check our two bags. Really really frustrating, and beyond an exorbitant price to charge for bags...

Pros: No delays and much nicer staff than last time.
Cons: Seats are very tight and legroom is very limited, specially when person in front of you recline the seat. Also, you feel the hard plastic in all your bones.. more cushions will be appreciated... Specially for an 8 hours flight.

Cons: TAP Airlines stranded us in Lisbon. They were late flying us from Vienna to Lisbon and then canceled our seats on our connection to JFK. Instead, they rebooked us on the next day's flight a full 24 hours after, refusing to rebook us on earlier flights on other carriers. Their customer service was as bad as I've ever experienced. Multiple agents admitted their company is terrible and doesn't care about its customers. The indifference to our situation was surreal. Lesson learned.

Cons: Flight was delayed and we were never notified despite receiving multiple emails to ‘upgrade’ our flight. While checking in we attempted to upgrade 3 tickets to first class and were sent to 3 different areas in the airport with our luggage, having to wait in line each time. Didn’t provide vegaterian options on board. Weren’t given a gate ever after landing 5 hours late and were kept on board for half an hour making us miss a 2nd connection we had to rebook after the initial delay. A frustrating experience hat could have been made better with just some communication about what was going on.

Cons: We were never prompted to pay for our check in baggage at the time of purchase and so when we showed up we were forced to pay 85 euros for one checked bag for an international flight on top of a ticket that already cost more than $250. The luggage restrictions were never shown previously. Will never fly TAP Portugal again.

Charge of $ 75.00 for first bag on an international flight?!? We're not talking about a budget airline, but THE airline of Portugal!

Pros: When boarding the fligh TP 209 on October 27 2017 I found that my seats that I paid for well in advance are taken by other pasengers an I am given a totally different and very bad seats. What did I paid for, after all. Why push people to buy seats and then do not provide. I did not get the service I paid for and will Be requesting my money back for the complete flight.
Cons: The stuard I tried to discuss the matter did not even try to help, instead he only smiled in return and suggested to file a complaint. That was totally unaccepltable.

Cons: Tap said that they could not find my seat (even through I paid Kayak / Webjet) and my tickets were cancelled. I lost my flight back and had to stay two days extra in a hotel and lost a day of work. Will never buy here again

Was told on check-in that flight did not include checked luggage which is bizzare/unreal for an international flight especially since I also paid to upgrade my ticket. Even in explaining to me the person on the phone was rude. This was very disappointing as I had such an amazing trip to end on this sour note. (2) The boarding process took forever. They made us line up about 45 minutes before we actually boarded. So we were all standing around as opposed to being seated in waiting area. We did not board until after our take-off time. (3) Seats were really tight, uncomfortable and don't recline much.

The main flight stuardess in charge was rude and kept giving attitude to people when they asked questions because half the people on the flight didn't understand Portuguese. I wasn't allowed to pick my seat on the website so we ended up in a middle row. The person i was traveling with is over 6 ft and could not comfortably fit in the seats. Thankfully no one sat on the end so we were able to spread out between 3 seats. The entire experience made us not want to fly into Portugal again.

Pros: The trip back home to NY from Lisbon was great, flight staff was attentive and courteous, the plane was clean, the entertainment made the time go by fast and the warm blanket and pillow provided a comfortable experience.
Cons: Unfortunately my girlfriend is a celiac and we forgot to pre-order a gluten free meal, so she had little to no food options for her to eat. The sandwich offered right before landing could be made with gluten free bread or even a corn based tortilla.

Pros: The food dish was pretty good and there were many options for food.
Cons: Space - there was zero and we weren't able to upgrade our seats. Big bummer on a long flight!! Also, our flight attendent would give us half full glasses of water... I didn't realize I needed to buy a few bottles of water before getting on the flight to be stocked. She sid this with all beverages. There was zero organization in the boarding process.

Cons: Some not so friendly crew members on this flight. There was one tall, blonde flight attendant who wore so much perfume that I could taste it every time she walked down the aisle. You can't have that in an enclosed space. In this day and age of so many people having food allergies to nuts, why would you serve a dessert with almonds?? My daughter almost ate it because there was no warning label. It scares me to think what might have happened at 12,000 feet.

Pros: it had a feet support the toilet was big it was airplane food, still better than most companies I know from Europe, Asia and the USA.
Cons: the head rest was too hard

Cons: The movies could have been better. Food was average.

Pros: The staff were very pleasant, extremely helpful and stylish (the airline's choice for attire is clean with great usage of Portugal's national colors). Thank you for the enjoyable ride home.

Pros: Entertainment! Loved having such a wide selection of things to watch on the screen at my seat. Such a nice luxury to be able to watch a movie, a show, check the status of the flight/plane/distance/time/map, and more.
Cons: The food wasn't that appetizing. It actually gave me upset stomach for the rest of the flight. I was in the bathroom 3x during the flight and I usually don't use the restroom more than once during any given flight. I didn't like that when asking for a drink of water, they only give a half full cup of room-temperature water. On an 8 hour flight, I get dehydrated and could drink 2 water bottles alone. I don't like to be a nuisance to the attendants so I only asked for water twice. I just wish they would provide small personal bottles per customer. I also have never flown on TAP before so I wasn't aware of anything like how to call an attendant using the touch-screen or even that watching movies was free. It should be said over the intercom at the beginning of the flight.

Pros: Great service on board, very attentive crew. Great food (Yes, it was good), modern aircraft.
Cons: The boarding process at Terminal could be easier and simpler. They told us to set up lines way before the actual call.

Pros: I had a flight from Madrid --> Lisbon airport with a final connection from Lisbon --> NYC JFK and we were delayed in Madrid therefore arriving at boarding time of our other flight in Lisbon. The crew was so professional and prepared that when we landed in Lisbon there was a bus that brought about 25 of us who were connecting with final destination to JFK to the closest door to go through passport control and board onto our flight to JFK that they held for a good 30-45 minutes until all of us made our connection. Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!

Cons: attendant kept waking me up to put my seat belt on while i was sleeping

Pros: Clean planes. Reasonably comfortable seats.
Cons: Boarding process with passport control in Lisbon seemed redundant. The transfer concourse doesn't allow access to VIP lounges.

Pros: The plane was clean. The blanket was unusually large, for a plane blanket, so u could be nice and warm. The food was good and varied. The staff was friendly and every time they spoke to you had a smile on their face, as if happy to see you:)
Cons: I cant think of anything. It's a long trip that can be tiresome. So you can tell the airline tries to make it as pleasant as possible .

Cons: Lobster appetizer was dry, hard, and tough. Steak dinner was prepared nicely, but of medium- low quality meat. Announcements are not heard in headphones, which in emergency situations could be dangerous. Noise reducing headphones supplier are effective in the noise reduction function, but not high quality audio resolution, with some dialogue intelligible. Business class seat wasn't a full recline as are those of most competitors, but it was comfortable. I didn't see any snack offerings that most other airlines have available between meals.

Pros: Big space between seats. Best screen entertainment.
Cons: Food was only average. Especially fish.

Cons: Being sat in a middle seat. With that being said, it was OK. No problems.

Pros: The service was excellent. The help on board was extremely professional and polite. There was plenty of leg room and the bathrooms were fairly large too.

Cons: some chaos at boarding, with redundant passport control. Upon arrival, we were held for 45 min at JFK, as the gate wasn't ready and the crew had the engines running and fumes penetrated the cabin that made me almost sick. I guess that's not much of a TAP fault, but it was a bad finish of an otherwise uneventful flight...

Pros: took forever to get to international I am elderly and I was totally wiped out no help anywhere, on the flight itself only the steward was nice the ladies were very grumpy and never smiled.

Pros: My check in was by far the easiest it has ever been on any of the international flights I've taken over the years. This was my first flight with TAP Portugal and I will certainly by happy to fly with them again. The next time, I'm going to take advantage of their offer to stop over in Lisboa.

Pros: Easy check in, easy boarding, more or less comfortable (as much as you could hope on an airplane) and quick, on time and safe flight.
Cons: Crew was a little chilly, but not rude.




Cons: I bought WiFi but never worked. Entertainment didn’t work either. It was cold. At the airport, United has huge lines for bag drop both curbside and inside. waited 30 plus minutes and gave up. Checked bag at gate.

Cons: Service is dismal and run down interior. Rips in seats. Lags way behind Asian or certain European airlines

Cons: I was very specific with selecting aisle seats(has my sitting option) but it was ignored many times without my trip which made very uncomfortable. At times I had to request which seats.

Pros: It was convienent and easy.
Cons: Baggage claim time I suppose.

Pros: Plane was on time.
Cons: Even as I was checking in for the flight, as an economy traveler, I was constantly reminded of all the things I wasn’t entitled to -all boarding was based on how much you’d paid, not where you were sitting. I didn’t expect special treatment, but once you’re at the gate, boarding agents usually treat passengers equally. Not so with United.

Cons: Delayed

Pros: Unable to since they did not wait for several passengers.
Cons: I was called the night before saying our flight was overbooked will you change flights for 300.00 dollars each. We needed to get home so we turned their offer down. The day of the flight our connection flight was delayed we were told someone would escort several of the passengers from Lufthansa to the connection with United no one was there. Several of us ran to where the flight gate was but the plane already left. It turns out other people were also called and turned down United’s offer. So the question is since our flight was purposely overbooked did United take advantage of our situation and just leave and cause all of us great pain and duress with no compensation for all of our inconvenience.

Pros: Pilot made up for delayed departure by landing only 20 minutes behind schedule.
Cons: 45 minutes Delayed departure. Pretzels and drinks were only provided in a 3 1/2 hour flight...

Pros: We were delayed taking off from Denver due to snow storm. The crew was communicative and accommodating.

Cons: The plane was not at the airport on time and when it caused us to miss the flight they blamed the weather instead of the plane not being at the airport on time. They were rude and refused to give hotel vouchers.

Pros: Flight attendants are nice. I picked one of the seats at the end so plenty leg room.
Cons: OK, United, I understand and fully support "no more seat monitor" policy to reduce costs (even though it seems very backward); however, there's one problem--if you still want to enjoy onboard entertainments, you need to download the United application above 10,000 feet where you can never find your 4G connection. Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand.

Pros: It got us from a to b but not much more to be said!
Cons: The idea of the entertainment system broadcast to your hand held device is fine - it didn't work for me though.

Cons: Plane was dirty. Giveaway was the bathrooms when we had just boarded. One of the stewards had an attitude. Entertainment system stopped many times. United did offer a "recompense. " However, my touch monitor was not responsive; so was for the person who sat behind me as he kept poking my headrest. Boarding line did not move for a long time.

Cons: The economy seats are TOO CLOSE TOGETHER. Attendants NEED to be more aware of the size of carry-on items and the amount each person brings onto the plane. People in the front 10 rows of the plane should not be putting their luggage in the back, taking up space so people in groups 3-5 have space to put their luggage.

Pros: Quick boarding, friendly crew.
Cons: No in flight entertainment. Only pay option with screen in front of your face the whole time. Finally figured out how to turn off screen. Only sweet snack offered. Not good for people with dietary issues, pretzels would have been better.

Cons: I booked the comfort economy seating that I normally do with Delta. With their additional cost you get a larger seating area, free in-flight movies, reserved compartment space for your carry on and a free drink. No such thing with United. They did try to have movies through their app, but it wouldn't play long enough to allow you to watch.

Cons: I hat west coast to east coast flights that offer no entertainment or food.

Pros: We flew though a tropical storm heading to Florida without any turbleance crew found narrow passage of clear skys

Cons: So we arrived at the desk after a 7hr international flight ready for the final 1hr leg - only to be confronted with "flight overbooked" looking for 9 volunteers - how can you over book a 40 seat flight by 9 ???? So we had an anxious wait wondering if we'd be dumped from the flight - we weren't but it wasn't enjoyable waiting for the flight and our meeting with our grand kids.

Cons: Very small plane. I have to valet my carry on which meant removing all my medicine (I am a cancer patient) and my camera and carry them on board with me.

Cons: My connecting flight was cancelled when I got to Dulles, all of the passengers had top make changes to flights on their own, I was placed on standby twice, so I didn't have time to stop and eat, and I finally got a flight, there wasn't even food to buy, only snacks, I got terribly ill, because I went about ten hours without eating. My connection was changed to Austin, where I had a layover then tooto San Francisco. This allowed me to get at 7, local tone instead of waiting until ten local time. My flight got in so late, I was unable to drive the additional 4 hours I was supposed to, so I had to get a room, because I arrived after being up for nearly 24 hours. Very disappointed in my arrival flight,I hope my flight home is better. Couldn't access the free entertainment on the app I installed the day before.

Cons: United airlines crew said that the plane had on board computer problems and then the crew said they couldn't fly because they were timed out on hours and we sat for 3 hrs in the plane only to here that they cancelled the flight and I had to scramble to find another flight to get to my destination

Pros: To apologize for delays, they provided free access to directv.
Cons: No gate agent support, people seated haphazardly in wrong seats and given no direction. Long delay once boarded, just sitting on ground. Turbulence the entire flight with almost no opportunity to use bathrooms or receive any service. This after rushing to gate and no chance to use bathroom.

Pros: United airlines seems no better or worse than most major airlines today.
Cons: I am fed up with the herding mentality by most airlines. Since when did purchasing an economy seat mean you are not entitled to at least a modicum of comfort on a flight. The legroom provided now is no where near enough for any normal size human. Additionally it's still annoying to pay $25.00 for a single checked bag. I tried United after many years but will be returning to Southwest Airlines - in the long run it's less expensive. I realize nothing will change based on my opinion, regardless, it is more comfortable and dignified to take a Greyhound bus than to fly a major airline these days.

Pros: Right away when United found out we would not make our connecting flight in Denver they called AA and booked us with them.
Cons: That due to the delay and new airline we arrived in Springfield an hour later then planned.
