Pros: Im usually not one to sleep on ttransport but I was very comfy on this flight and was able to sleep the whole three hours
Cons: The snacks.
Cons: Great flight, ontime departure and early arrival. Bags were delivered within 15 minutes of Ariosto the gate.
Cons: More legroom and monitors in the seat back like Jetblue.
Cons: The past two times flying with American out of Dallas my girlfriend and I have been separated on the flight. The first time we were able to be placed with each other but this time the attendant at the counter basically told everyone that because the flight was booked and there were so many people who had the issue that she could not move anyone around to be with their families. That on top of being rude to many of the flyers just makes the DFW experience with American feel like they don’t care about you.
Cons: Feed me
Cons: Too many travelers on the same flight, but I know its the day before thanksgiving so its the way it is.
Cons: Wifi was not functional, making me unable to do work for the duration of the flight. Rude flight attend literally stormed off mid-conversation as I was asking for assistance with wifi. And this was in FIRST CLASS. Unbelievable. And Unacceptable.
Pros: Crew were exceptional!!! Organizing the passengers and make the arrangements to meet the requirements of social distance. Bravo!!!
Cons: Cookies had a very bad taste. Water was perfect!
Pros: The crew was respectful and friendly, the seat was comfortable
Cons: Did not make this flight
Cons: Not as crowded as the LAX to PHX
Pros: The comfort of the plane and aircraft crew.
Cons: Customer service. Ridiculous when buying flight tickets, regardless the economy “restriction” if you buy two tickets together you put them together even if your picking the seats. A money scam charging more for us to pick our seats. Common sense isn’t that common
Pros: Lisa Inzerillo is amazing, I don’t know how she kept everyone happy and safe. What an amazing employee she is, please thank her supervisor for such great training and service!
Cons: If Lisa was our flight attendant on previous flights!
Pros: Entertainment was good for the length of the flight.
Cons: Delayed several times, one of which was because they didn’t have enough gas for the trip. The pilot also came in so fast and hard that he slammed on the planes breaks when landing - violently shaking the entire plane.
Cons: Sat on tarmac for over 40 min waiting for gate
Cons: They make flights to depart on time. Also they should tell anything about the reason when they are delaying four times for a flight
Cons: Plane was delayed for 1 hour, electrical problems, which were never fixed. No entertainment no wifi, unable to charge battery on cell phone. Cabin very warm.
Pros: My legs were sandwiched behind the seat in front of me. I hate that kind of seat spacing.
Pros: The crew members were extremely helpful. It was a full flight and hard to find space for all the carry-on luggage, but an extremely helpful stewardess did a great job of finding space for my bag. She was attentive and friendly for the beverage service and really made me feel welcome.
Pros: Plane left and arrived on time. Otherwise uneventful, which these days is good.
Cons: Others got I choice of snacks. I just got a cookie.
Pros: Crew was nice. Boarding and deplaning was quick. Flight was on time
Cons: WiFi was super slow
Cons: The chairs
Cons: Flight was delayed twice, and the flight was very bumpy and the pilot really had a bad landing.
Pros: It was fast
Cons: They could have offered headphones, the charging outlet didn’t work
Pros: Flight crew were very apologetic
Cons: Missed connecting flight from Miami. Only one flight per day. Had to take a flight to an alternative location, drive for an hour down the coast and take a ferry to my final destination.
Pros: What you expect from an internal US flight: no food, crowded flight, cramped seats. I have come to expect two things - arrive on time and arrive safely. The good, we arrived safely.
Cons: Pulled away from gate and sat on tarmac for over an hour while technical difficulties fixed. We should not have boarded until plane was ready. We arrived over one hour late and just made connecting flight. Our luggage was not so fortunate.
Pros: There was an excellent selection of movies to choose from. The seats were pretty nice and clean and modern. A power outlet at every seat, and not just USB.
Cons: Flight was delayed due to paperwork and some people were racing to their connecting flights. Lots of turbulence. The seats seemed comfortable at first, but actually hurt my tailbone pretty quickly, while the 17 hour flight we took next did not. Tray tables are the folding kind and a bit awkward. We were in the last row by the bathrooms and our seats didn't recline at all. You had to pay for any kind of snacks other than a little bag of pretzels and a package of cookies. We were in one of the last two boarding sections, and the woman letting us on the plane tried to make us check out carry-on luggage, stating that the overhead bins were full. Well, we didn't want to be without our bags for the next 24 hours, so we argued and she let us "try" to bring them on. There was PLENTY of room back there! It's just the standard line they feed, apparently, so beware if you're sitting in the back of the plane!
Cons: No message to call with passengers with kids to board first or any military personnel boarding first.
Pros: Generally clean plane with good entertainment system and technology overall. Diabetic meal much better than in the past.
Cons: Didn't announce meal choices at the start so flight attendant had to repeat herself every. Single. Row. They forgot my diabetic meal on the last part them forgot to include cutlery and it took a long time to sort out but they were otherwise lovely.
Cons: I wish there was another option for a snack. There are many companies that would probably love to advertise through distribution to airline passengers.
Pros: Nice flight, great leg room, staff was friendly and flight was on time.
Pros: Due to a strong tailwind we arrived 45 minutes ahead of schedule. Great service with attentive attendants. However the plane was older than me, no real entertainment system or outlets to plug in smart devices.
Cons: Plane needs to be retired or retrofitted to accommodate smart device charging.
Pros: The terminal seating
Cons: I am a 100% disabled veteran and I was being rushed by flight stewards with no regard to my physical limitations. I wanted to try the kayak route but after this last experience I don’t know if I’ll still with Kayak
Pros: The crew was really nice and caring
Cons: The music and entertainment collection was very limited
Cons: The plane was dirty, the window had a leak, the TV was too far away and the sound system to watch the movie was broken. When the plane is in that poor of a condition, it's time to replace it. F.
Pros: Everything great. Rate food and entertainment moderate because there was no dinner, which we did not require, and we went to sleep so didn't pay attention to entertainment.
Pros: The flight crew was professional, friendly and competent. They served the dinner as early in the flight as possible.
Cons: This was a plane with central screens along the aisle, and the airline chose to broadcast a sci-fi action movie with almost constant flashing blue light, and violent action scenes. This was first of all a movie that many people, including me, would never choose to watch, but since it was on the aisle screens there was no getting away from it. It was also unsuitable for children, even without sound. But mainly, I object to the showing of any film in that situation - only aisle screens available, and on a night flight where most of the passengers are trying to sleep. I was awakened several times by the flashing lights. Other things: one of the bathrooms was not very clean, and the plane felt like the usual cattlecar, with just 3 seats on each side of the aisle, which is unusual and unpleasant for a transatlantic flight.
Cons: I do not like that I am missed my flight and got stuck in a city without any re-embersement. I usually use United, but decided to use American Airlines this time. Sleeping in an airport tonight. Thanks.
Pros: Was on time
Pros: Cabin was clean. Flight attendants were courteous.
Cons: Their snacks were merely a cookie which was okay, but not what I would have wanted.
Pros: The crew were pleasant and friendly. They tried the best that they could given the circumstances.
Cons: My flights were delayed so I missed my connection. I had to fly a red-eye from San Fran to Boston getting in at 6AM with meetings that started at 10AM...had to BUY a day-pass at the Admirals Club (I feel this could have been provided as it was mechanical issues that caused the delays). THEN my trip from Boston home were delayed so they switched me to another flight and then THAT one was delayed twice so I actually got home later than if I had taken the original flight! Overall the flights really sucked!!
Cons: they were keeping delay, delay, and delay when I was on the aircraft. My flight was from BOS to PHL on June 13,2017 was delayed and cancel then they pushed me back. They pushed my flight back on the next morning and without any apologize or responsibilities for me and I have been sleeping in the AIRPORT all night! never go to this airline again! bad and worst airlines ever!!!
Pros: That I got home safely
Cons: From the get go it was an awful experience ... I travel with an emotional support animal as does my husband because we don't do well with flying. I have anxiety to the max about it & my husband gets ulcerative colitis flare ups any time he's stressed out which is usually while we fly and having our dogs with us turkey makes us feel better. When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us .
Pros: We did get onto another flight that morning in the exit row.
Cons: I didn't receive an email to check into my flight for Alaskian airline/American Airlines, and when I tried to check in online from my confirmed ticket order the website wouldn't let me check in. When searching where to go at dallas ft.worth (DFW) airport to check in for our alaskian airlines flight the website sold us to go to terminal E 18 where they are, but when we arrived we were in fact flying out of a completely different terminal A, not having enough time to check our bags and missing the flight.
Pros: The airplane had screens that tracked the flight progress, which was nice once we finally left.
Cons: The delay leaving Boston caused me major ground transportation problems in Philadelphia. Also boarding agents did a lousy job getting people to check their carry on bags, knowing with a full flight they wouldn't have room. This further delayed take off.
Pros: There's nothing good about AA
Cons: One of the few things SouthWest, Alaska & United did was the proper queuing of people to get into the plane. AA is a free for all - those who follow regulations will fall behind. In this flight from Boston to LAX - I heard there were 80 Priority checking - are you kidding me. Group 1 does not help if I have 80 Priority seating and one family took 12 people in with one elderly. It's good to place Elderly and Military up front first - but to take the Whole entire family - that's not fair - you have 8 able bodies who should be in line with the rest of the crowd. Also who heard of 80 Priority check ins - normally, that's Group 1. Never flying AA unless I a desperate.
Pros: Good experience all around.
Cons: 15 minutes late. No big deal though
Cons: The pilots did not show up for my flight after my other connecting flight was delayed and a previous fkight had been cancelled.
Pros: Flight was fine. Drunk unmasked passenger behind me
Cons: Move the drunk passenger in the back where there were empty seats, and monitor him to keep his mask on.
Pros: Frontier male stewardess was rude. Most uncomfortable seats on a plane I’ve ever sat in.
Cons: Customer service as well ass comfort
Pros: I did not get onto flight
Cons: Allowing me to board; I showed up to Denver international with plenty time, I arrived at gate of new flight the check in attendant placed me on, I then watched my original flight close the gate and fly away while waiting for my next flight.
Cons: A lot. They could have had the decency to empathize with new travelers in this pandemic situation.
Cons: Frontier has declined a saddening amount.
Pros: The crew was polite and pleasant. The plane was very clean and organized.
Cons: The seats were extremely uncomfortable.
Pros: Price. Crew was very polite.
Cons: Late departing due to fueling
Cons: It was over an hour late departing. The staff was rude. I will NEVER fly with Frontier again.
Pros: The service was POOR! This was my firsts time booking through this Airline and NO ONE told me about checking in 2 hrs early according to the phone phone rep or 45 minutes early according to the RUDE rep in the airport either way I arrived at the airport an hour before my flight and couldn’t board!
Cons: Frontier could take some time to better inform their first time customers of airport arrival times. I lost my seat AND was forced to book ANOTHER flight for 231.00 because Frontier didn’t think of their customer FIRST! Not to mention that was the ONLY flight leaving Boston until Wednesday
Cons: Frontier gets you there in moderate comfort at a very good price. You pay for everything! I didn't know they charged for a coke, surprised me. Yes, water is still free, and so are the bathrooms. You can tip the attendants or not.
Pros: Frontier closed their ticketing counter before 45mins before the flight was scheduled to take off. No one was at the ticketing counter...just a small sign saying counter closes 45mins before flight. Self service kiosk worked for some but started telling everyone to go to the ticketing counter.
Cons: Seemed like they oversold the flight and once there were enough people who checked in, they closed the ticket counter.
Pros: Nothing, flight was cancelled.
Cons: After flight was cancelled, could have helped passengers find a way to continue to their destination.
Pros: Price was great
Cons: overall expirence
Cons: I filled a lost & found claim for my mother's coat she had forgotten in flight from John Wayne California to Austin but haven't heard back even if it has been submitted or not yet. On our way back..Poor Airport service in Virginia, The lady on the counter said I can go but my mom who was on wheel chair cannot go as she wont make it to the gate and also that luggage has been closed 3 minutes ago and we cant take luggage... Three Minutes cost me buying new tickets from South west that was cheaper than you and allow extra bag. Your representative was in moo mood to either help me or compensate me in your next flight.. very Poor. Upon dialing your number I couldn't get hold of a representative to address my concerns. You guys need to improve your customer service and clients call response and make it effective.
Pros: It was a direct flight and the flight was on time.
Cons: the baggage fees were outrageous and made this trip much more expensive than if I had gone with a better airline. There is no wifi on the plane and while you can buy everything else, there is no option to buy wifi which is the one thing I would have paid for. The staff was unfriendly at best and one was very rude and frantic. I will not be flying this airlines again!
Pros: Air hosts and hostesses
Cons: Need more leg space
Cons: Extreme turbulence. Crew didn’t do anything to inform or keep passenw
Cons: You must pay extra for everything and on top of it the flight attendants only talk about signing you up for the credit card it’s like a stupid commercial the whole flight. Also the carry on bag fee is different for every passenger my wife and I were charged to different prices and the seats suck knees hit the back of the seat in front of you and you must sit straight up the whole flight not even room for a full size try table.
Pros: 2 hour delay
Cons: Long wait
Cons: Bad experience!!!!!
Pros: on time lending
Cons: very poor crew i aske for a glas of water dinide say we have 40 minites for lending.
Pros: The flight attendants were spectacular! Service was great and it was a smooth flight from takeoff to landing
Cons: There was a lot of turbulence at the beginning of the flight. I would have liked it if the pilot let us know about the bumpy ride.
Cons: Ridiculous, hidden fee add-ons, Totally unprofessional airline from staff to website.
Pros: The staff was very professional. Especially the male flight attendant on F9269 Denver to Santa Ana. Staff on the plane was great!
Cons: I understand there were a lot of issues with the weather and the original plane to be boarded. We departed an hour and 15 minutes late and with the transfer of planes, it seemed that at least half the plane did not get their luggage. There was at least 50 of us standing at the baggage claim and we never got our bags. There was also no one to really talk to about it except one person. We all lined up to give our information to her. Fortunately, I was already talking to her when the line started and got that done pretty quickly. As far as the rest of the passengers, I'm assuming if they were at the back they had to waste another hour waiting to give information after waiting about an hour for our luggage. Also, I live local so it is not a big deal for me to go to the airport to retrieve my bag, wherever it is. Others do not have that luxury.
Cons: Lost my bag and the lines were insane!
Pros: I had to cancel my trip plans and went to cancel and found out that not only would I not get a refund on the flight but I also was not going to be able to get a refund on the seat selection. Front tier has nickeled and dimed me to a degree that I would never Fly them ever.
Cons: They have a low flight charge but then you have to pay for everything else that you want. You have to pay even for carry-on baggage. You have to pay for any seat selection other than in the back of the plane. when all is said and done, their prices are equal or higher than any other carrier.
Pros: Clean airplane
Cons: Impossible to fit through your aisle to get to main aisle if someone's seat is reclined. I literally had to crawl over the people in the middle and aisle seats because I could y walk in front of them without basically being in their laps. The biggest thing, ITS ALWAYS A DELAYED FLIGHT. I have flown frontier San Diego to Denver and OC to Denver probably over 100 times. I have ALWAYS had a delayed flight do to nothing but poor planning by frontier. It's never weather, 85: never a plane malfunction, just delayed for whatever reasons. It's pretty irritating after years of flying your airline, that you can pretty much always gaurentee a delayed flight.
Pros: Planes are newer, seat backs are thinner which gives the impression of more leg room, not very comfortable though unfortunately.
Cons: For what looks like a competitive airfare consumers get up charged when it's time to get your seat assignment (ie. pay $9 or $15 or $30 MORE for a seat on the plane when it's time to check in - not disclosed when you book through Kayak of course). To be fair, there was 1 seat available for $0, it was in the last row in the middle...1 seat. I also experienced a first...getting charged $30 to bring my backpack on board as a carry-on. Airlines are now charging to put luggage in the overhead compartment. Same carry-on luggage you'd bring with you on any other airline for free, apparently not on Frontier. $30 for a backpack, wow. Apparently Frontier also claims 'we don't participate in TSA Pre-Check', meaning it's great if you have TSA Pre-check, but given Frontier doesn't 'participate' in this program even if the consumer has paid the $100 and cleared to checks to use this program (which is awesome), if you fly Frontier, you can't use it, they won't put the 'TSA Pre-Check' denotation on your boarding pass. Huh? I get companies like this shooting for operational efficiency, scaling lean, profit maximization et al, however this airline feels like a total money suck from top to bottom. 'We have snacks available for purchase'! Of course you do Frontier, of course you do.
Pros: The price was good, but I would've been better off with a different airline.
Cons: Every seat was the same but there was an upcharge on different flights. I paid an extra $9.00 for a window seat in the back of the plane and it would've been $20.00 for the same seat closer to the front. They also charge for bags whether they are carry on or checked. My first flight, a kid in front of me threw up and it went under his seat and all inside of my bag. I spent the entire flight cleaning puke off of my computer and my clothes. The flight attendant just told me there were paper towels in the lavatory. When we finally arrived at 11pm we sat in the runway for 30-45 minutes until our gate was clear. Then we finally pulled up and it took another 15-20 mins for them to attach the bridge for us to get off the plane.
Pros: Departures were on time.
Cons: I am not a big person. 5'4" and the seating space is incredibly tight. I can't imagine how more uncomfortable it is for those taller than me.
Pros: Every one in the plane will be thursty and hungry. You can charge the trvellers and gave him food or water or juice every one hour. I feel bad no water no food and first time i travelled by frontier beside me got food and ate it infront of me and me woww in a very bad situation
Cons: One of the stewardesses did not stop talking the whole flight. So loud I that I could not hear what the pilot was saying EVERYTIME he or another steward spoke... Horrible
Pros: Not much. This was a terrible flight.
Cons: They charge for everything! Bags, food, drinks, seats... and the seats in the plane do not recline and the trays tables are TINY. The crew made the passengers clean the plane on account because due to the fact that it was delayed they needed to turn the plane around quickly to get it back to Denver. Never have I been asked to clean the plane on account of their delay!
Pros: The crew was nice
Cons: The company needs to treat its customers better. The seats are awful. We had to change planes and they didn't give us any compensation for our loss of time.
Cons: The ticket kiosks did not seem to work well and nobody wanted to help- they just said get in line. There were 2 huge lines even though i got there almost 2 hours before my flight. I had no luggage to check in so I tried the kiosk, finally got one to work and it found me and my flight but said I needed to go to the counter. I waited in line >25 minutes then they announced that all Orange County passengers needed to move ahead. Got my ticket no problem, but another long line through security and not sure if I would make the flight. Got to the gate 2 minutes before boarding. It all caused a lot of anxiety!! The flight was fine- no frills and it was somewhat late arriving.I am not sure I will fly Frontier again.
Pros: Service was great
Cons: This airline has a ton of hidden fees. Be prepared to pay for air if you want to breath
Pros: On time
Cons: I got Frontier because I thought I got I good deal but end the end of the trip with all the extra fee on carrier on I spent more than other airline where all the seat can be recliner, sodas free and carrier on are free too. I will try to avoid to use Frontier airlines.
Pros: It didn't crash.
Cons: Frontier's bait-and-swicth a la carte pricing (ALL seats and ALL luggage - including carry-on - have additional costs over the base fare). The fare listed on travel sites only applies if you have no luggage and sit in the aisle. Total cost was equal to or more than that of competitive airlines. No food or entertainment offered. Seats are cheaply made, 6" tray tables. Return flight was delayed for unexplained reasons longer than the flight time itself. First - and last - time I've flown Frontier.
Cons: Didn't make the 45 minute cutoff for check-in on the flight the previous day because of hevy traffic and road work coming into Denver. I went with another airline that got me home instead of waiting until the next day
Pros: The crew was nice and friendly. The food and beverage selection was nice though everything cost money, even sodas. The capatain was informative and kept us to date with every change while we were stuck on the Tarmac for almost an hour due to bad
Cons: I understand the reason for all the fees and I know that's how the initial ticket prices stay cheap. But some of those fees are absolutely ridiculous. We were charged almost double the price for our checked baggage on this flight compared to the previous one because during our trip it switched to "the busy season." There was no notice of this when buying the tickets. There is also no good reason to charge more for a carry on than checked baggage. Just make it the same price if your going to charge for both. Also, the increase in price for carry on and checked baggage when checking in at the airport instead of online is massive. I drove down from the mountains where I had zero service straight to the airport. Had I pulled over somewhere on the way and checkin in before, I would have saved a ton of money on our three bags. I'm not sure if I'll ever be flying frontier again.
Pros: Quick boarding and baggage check-in
Cons: Lots of hidden fees, VERY unfriendly baggage policies, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS. You'll end up paying the same price for a nicer flight with better baggage policies and more comfy seats after you end up paying all the hidden charges. Expect to add $105 each way on to your total costs. The seats look like aluminum frames with some cloth draped over it...
Pros: All processes were smooth. This was my first Frontier flight in years, so I was a bit surprised at having to pay for coffee, but so be it.
Pros: It's cheap. Well, the baseline ticket at least. For this flight, I wasn't bringing any luggage (it was a short flight as part of a move, and all of my things were being carried via other means), so it made sense.
Cons: The airline nickel and dimes you for everything. Carry-on or checked bags will cost you. A drink on the plane will cost you. We were delayed about 20 minutes getting on the plane and then sat on the runway for over an hour before we left. The last 20 minutes of that was due to wind reducing available runways for all departures and arrivals, but the first runway delay was caused by not one but two maintenance issues. Frontier actually just finished replacing their old planes with newer plans that have more uncomfortable seats with tiny trays and no on-board entertainment. For a short flight, it's not horrific, but for a cross-country journey, it's highly uncomfortable. The crew are just "there." Gone are the days of a warm cookie when you sit down. I've never had happy or friendly attendants, either. They do their job at the minimum. Slow to respond to guest issues and I've seen them be a bit rude with customers as well. I've had issues in the past with Frontier and lost luggage and lacking customer service. I only went with them this time because I wasn't bringing kids or luggage and just needed a cheap one-way. Otherwise I would never fly them.
Pros: Flight Crew was very friendly helpful
Cons: Very uncomfortable seats, the check in process online is very misleading prompting you to buy an actual seat. Clever and mischievous marketing. If everyone realized you could check in without buying a seat what would Frontier do. They would probably stick it to you somewhere else in the process. The flight crew however was fantastic.
Cons: Ripoff across the board
Pros: Ticket price was refunded with no questions asked. Ticket counter clerk was very nice.
Cons: Flight was cancelled with no rescheduling, no vouchers were given for hotel or for flights on another airline.
Pros: ARRIVED AT THE TIME ALLOTED.
Cons: FEMALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS A LITTLE SNOTTY WHEN IT CAME TO MY PLACING A COAT IN OVERHEAD STORAGE BIN NEAR THE FLIGHT CREW'S GEAR. BIN WAS NOT LABELED SPECIFICALLY FOR FLIGHT CREW'S AND I THOUGHT HER ATTITUDE WAS A BIT SNOTTY. I GOT OVER IT QUICK. IN THE FUTURE YOU MAY WANT TO STATE ON OVERHEAD BIN, RESERVED FOR FLIGHT CREW ONLY AND THAT WOULD BE THAT.
Pros: Yes very impressed
Cons: Easy up on the dumb mask rule it a little ridiculous..
Pros: The crew was excellent, but the seats were very uncomfortable, very hard to find position and they were very soft in the back, so you could feel when people were pushing with their knees.
Cons: I know that spirit airlines is a very low fare airline but they could add some entertainment and change their seats, even if you're paying for them.
Pros: On time
Cons: Worst seat on the plane. Had to pay more for my carry on bag than my flight ticket
Pros: Cheap overall price, no frill airline
Cons: Crew seems jaded, no food or drinks at all, seats are very uncomfortable, very little area at kiosk when you check in.
Cons: My flight was delayed twice to Boston and I had an appointment to keep. I called the Spirit customer service line repeatedly to ask about travel options and discuss my dilemma. Unfortunately, it seems that phone line is entirely automated. I could not find a human to answer my questions. I finally booked a flight with another airline that was set to arrive in Boston prior to my Spirit flight. I planned to take my return flight home to Chicago, but was informed through email that I had been removed from the flight. I was very upset to learn that my round trip was cancelled by Spirit since I did not take the departure leg of the trip due to all the delays and my time constraints. If I was able to speak to a customer service representative when I repeatedly called for answers, I may have learned of this policy. I was told I could repurchase my flight home for $150, which was too much for me to spend. I am very disappointed that Spirit's budget nature even extends to poor customer service and lack of real humans to provide information during stressful travel situations. Since Spirit has done nothing to make me want to use this airline again, I will be seeking other carriers for my future travel needs.
Pros: Swap to Delta flight.
Cons: Return ticket also cancelled without my knowledge. Had to argue to get return ticket restored.
Cons: Seats were very thin, had has children kicking and screaming behind me on both flights. Both flights were late for takeoff, which was very inconvenient, and lastly I do not think your airline prices justify charging $3 for something to drink! I paid about $90 for a United direct flight to Boston, where I had free drinks, and yet I paid $150 through you guys to take two flights home as you had no direct flights back. I will never fly Spirit Airlines again. Your flights are not cheap enough either to justify charging $90 for two checked bags. Good luck, but I would rather take United.
Pros: The flight down was fine. The plane seemed new and well-appointed. Boarding and staff were fine.
Cons: My return flight was affected by Hurricane Irma. Spirit's first response was understandable under the circumstances, and I felt that they handled it as well as could be expected. They canceled my flight, notifying me about 8 hours prior to the flight, and automatically booked me for a new one for the next day. However, when I arrived for that flight, they cancelled after I was already checked in. The lack of prior notification -- and the fact that it was now two days after the tropical storm -- made me think that this was poorly handled. At that point, I bought a ticket on another airline. Spirit emailed me two $50 vouchers with an apology, which I appreciate, but I plan to contact them for a refund.
Pros: Flight attendants were friendly
Cons: No carry-on luggage? It wasn't clear when we booked the flight. We have 4 kids and we just packed carry-on luggage, which all ended up being needed to checked in. Their price for carry-on or checked in luggage is ridiculous. The flight ended up costing us much more than if we flew other airlines. Also, our flight is scheduled to take off at 5:05am, and there were NOBODY at the counter to help any customer for bag drop less than an hour before the flight. There was a huge line and everybody was rushing through the bag drop line at the last minute and running to the gate in order to make the flight. Terrible!!! Seats were cramped, no entertainment and water will cost you $3! Definitely will not fly Spirit again!
Cons: After I spoke with another individual he understood what had happened with maintenance on the front end of MSP and that I would've made my FTL flight to SJO had the flight left at 6am like it should've not 3pm. He said nervously that he'd have to talk w/ the supervisor again, where she came back & tried to fight about weather issues from BOS to FTL..but she didn't take a second to understand that I was delayed from maintenance in MSP which didn't allow me to leave til 3pm vs 6 am. If i had made my MSP flight at 6am, I would've made my flight in BOS at 2:45 and therefore caught my FTL to SJO flight at 11pm. He then talked her through it once again, and she gave me a voucher very begrudgingly. Wrong person to have in this sort of position there. I didn't catch her name, but she was a very unprofessional supervisor working the late night shift at 11pm in FTL at spirit ticketing desk.
Cons: This was my first experience with Spirit Airlines. I was due to fly in and out of Myrtle Beach, within 24 hours, direct from Boston, for some meetings. I had a 5:05 am flight and because I travel frequently, I knew at this time of the day, from this terminal in Boston, I could park and be at my gate in under 10 minutes. I arrived at 4:20 am and proceeded to the kiosk at 4:25 am to print my boarding pass. The kiosk said it could not print me one. With no one at the counter, and another passenger also unable to retrieve a boarding pass, we stood at opening of the security lane with not a single person in queue, staring in disbelief at our gate on the other side of the security point, which began to board, and while I was frantically on the phone with customer service, departed without us. At some point three Spirit Airline employees leisurely strode by engrossed in personal conversation. When we inquired how to retrieve our boarding passes, they said "Sorry, the kiosk closes 45 minutes before boarding. Someone will be back at the desk at 8 am." They shrugged their shoulders and walked away. My ticket says "Gates close 15 minutes before boarding" and NOWHERE on their website, boarding passes or itinerary does it say that you cannot obtain a boarding pass within 45 minutes of boarding. Furthermore, when I tried to check in online and "print" my boarding pass (who has a printer these days?), the process was so laborious, requiring me to login and create an account, that I abandoned the process and thought I would just use the kiosk at the airport. How wrong I was! Had I "printed" my boarding pass at home, I would have parked, walked through security, and boarded within 45 minutes, as I frequently do on American, which also flies from this terminal. This is a piecemeal, self-serve airline. Do not expect any customer service; in this unreliable era of air travel, I would not advise using this carrier unless cost is your priority and you are willing to risk the consequences.
Pros: There was absolutely nothing positive about this flight with Spirit airline.
Cons: There was three desperate delays of our flight without any reason given. There were no customer service reps anywhere to be found during these delays to talk to. The gate at Logan airport for Spirit airlines is seperate from the rest of the airport so if you wanted to get any food or drinks you had to exit the gate and go through security again to get back in. None of the seats on the plane recline so you are sitting straight up in very uncomfortable chairs the entire flight. All of the power strips that were attached to the seats in the gate didn't work so you could charge your phone if you needed to. Also, on top of it all when you call customer service to file a complaint you wait on hold for 45 minutes and then they tell you to go to the website to file a complaint! What a joke of an airline. I will never fly with Spirit again no matter what.
Pros: Seats had a good amount of legroom. Ticket price was why I chose SPIRIT in the first place. The yellow planes are cute.
Cons: The SPIRIT terminal in Boston is the worst I've experienced, ever. Seating was limited, there was only one refreshment stand after you get through TSA, so if your flight is delayed (which mine was), you can't even walk around and see stuff. The flight attendants were not that friendly and kind of annoying. Nobody wants to hear your terrible jokes on a flight that was delayed. No free refreshments on flight, not even a water, you gotta pay. $50 for one checked bag that was 20lbs, ridiculous. The "low" ticket prices are a sham, you end up paying more in other ways.
Cons: My flight was cancelled less than 2 hours before the departure. I was told this at the airline counter. I took 7 o'clock AMTRAK to go Chicago and then took Blue line (45 minutes) to get to O'Hara airport. The girl at the counter did not explain why the airplane was cancelled. She offered a flight next day at the same time. My poster presentation was at 8:30AM next day. There was no alternative flight from Chicago to Boston. I just cannot believe this. I totally missed my conference presentation. BAD!
Pros: The plane seemed new. The seats were pretty comfortable for an airplane, although not enough legroom. The food cart by Cosi in the waiting area is pretty good for a food cart, except there are so many people the staff get overwhelmed.
Cons: The Spirit waiting area at Boston Logan is terrible. It's way too small for the number of people boarding and deplaning. There is constant jostling (even while you're sitting down) as people try to get through the crowd. And there is only one food cart unless you go back through security. The food cart is by Cosi, so the food is reasonably good, but with this many people the lines for a coffee or lukewarm breakfast wrap are long. And you have to keep moving to let people pass by. Oh, and I had a 2.5 hour delay on last flight to BWI.
Cons: I accidentally booked an 9pm flight when I meant to select 9am flight at 8am after missing my jetblue flight. I needed to get to Baltimore for work. I went through security and while I was about to board the plane they turned me away due to my ticket being incorrect. The woman checking the boarding passes rudely said "there's no room on this plane so we can't switch this ticket to 9am." I went to Spirit customer service minutes after I was turned away and they told me there was in fact room on that plane. So because of an honest mistake, they 1) wouldn't refund my ticket and 2) were rude and unhelpful and refused to let me on a plane that had plenty of space but they didn't want to inconvenience themselves for 5 minutes to change my boarding pass even after I had gone through security. I will never book Spirit again, even if I'm desperate.
Pros: I was grateful the flights never cancelled, but it delayed so often. Good news was I kept getting email notifications on all the delays.
Cons: The airplane was not meant to be comfortable. The seats don't recline. There's no radio or TV. No Footrest. The seats had very little cushion. My first flight, it looked to be an older plane, so I assumed they bought it used. My second flight, the plane was definitely new and they styled it so it would NOT be comfortable. They even made the tray table shorter. Wasn't able to fit anything on that. If you are looking for comfort or peace of mind in getting to your destination on time, then I would NOT recommend Spirit.
Pros: Pilot or flight attendant making the announcements was funny.
Cons: Carrying on a backpack and being forced to pay for a seat cost more than the actual flight. This is blatant dishonesty. You are not a cheap airline. You hide costs that customers are then forced to pay once they buy a ticket. I pay less to check a 50 lb piece of luggage for an international trip than I paid to carry on small backpack for an hour and a half flight. And, customer services reps are rude no sense of trying to ease customer frustrations. An announcement was made that a flight was cancelled and everyone needed to go to some desk to rebook. No apology, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Horrible customer service and dishonesty. I've had problems in the past with flights being delayed because flight attendants didn't show. No thanks.
Pros: Love the prices and the cleanliness of the airplane. Every staff I have interacted with have been friendly, polite, and look as though they enjoy their job and coworkers. The Spirit terminal at the Baltimore airport is phenomenal. It is spacious, clean, bright and modern. I will definitely be flying Spirit again!
Cons: This is the second time that I have flown from Logan airport on Spirit. Both times I have been very disappointed and disgusted by the terminal. The terminal is crowded and unclean. There were crumbs, wrappers and bottles on the floor. The trash can near the gate was overflowing with boxes and napkins. I was in the terminal for over two hours and not once was the bathroom or terminal serviced by facilities or maintenance staff. The bathroom is dark and crowded as well. Because the stalls and space is so small it's hard to manage your bags while using the bathroom. I would highly encourage an extra shift for cleaning crew and perhaps a different layout for chairs to make it feel less crowded and to bring a modern feel and look to the terminal.
Pros: There was not much to like. The crew members were nice and professional.
Cons: Once you pay for your flight, there's many other fees that end up making spirit just as expensive as other, nicer airlines. There was a carry on fee, which is unheard of. There is also a fee for every single seat. When you get on the plane, the seats are so thin and very uncomfortable. There isn't a single TV and no wifi!! There's also no complimentary food or beverages, water was even $3. Overall, the experience just annoys almost every customer and makes them wish they had chosen another airline. I will NOT be flying with Spirit airlines again.
Pros: The flight was fine, attendants were excellent. Very efficient boarding. I wasted much of the day before and day of the flight trying to print a boarding pass. Difficult to get to site and then they wouldn't accept my password and then didn't send the password I needed to change it. It was extremely frustrating. When I checked in at the kios I was warned that if my bag didn't fit in the bin I would be charged $100 at the gate. I was a1/2 inch too wide so I paid the $55 and found that people were boarding with big backpacks and not paying. My bag fit easily under the seat. Can this money be redeemed?
Pros: Uncomfortable seats, zero leg room, a website that has yet to function properly without me having to call customer service several times per flight. Not to mention the "Low fares" Spirit offers you don't actually account for the money you shovel out for EVERY SINGLE EXTRA you can think of. I ended up spending 65$ on my last flight just to bring a carry on and choose a seat. Tie that all together with an angry, impatient, and unprofessional staff, and you result in a customer who will never be flying spirit airlines again.
Pros: Nothing I wouldn't even have given one star but I had tk
Cons: The flight was overall and awful experience. After purchasing tickets we find out we have to also pay for seats and luggage. So we do so. We come to the day of our flight and board our plane only to find out they had given our seats away. Apparently because we didn't have a dog with us it was only fair to give our seats to the people who did and did not book seats let alone together ! Which is absolutely ridiculous my trip should not have to be incovienced because of other people not planning their trip correctly. Then we get the worst seats on the plane after having to stand in the way of everyone for 30 minute like second class citizens while they wait to see where they can squeeze us in. After sitting down we got incredibly rude service from the staff on the plane. One of the attendants made it a point to say your welcome in a manor of being rude because we would not hand trash to her in another passengers face we made her go behind us which was in the long run easier for her. We never got a thank you or a sorry for ruining our trip. I wouldn't recommend this flight to anyone. The airline is an absolute joke.
Cons: I did a check in to my luggage it was just one an hour before boarding and i paid 50$ for my bag and they lost it and when i went to thier representative she told me she cant find and when i asked her when will they get back to me she was like as soon as they find it without any specification about the time or any thing and she gave me a permission for a voucher with 25$ to use it in my next trip with them!! Again!!! Really !! If i will travel with again!!! It is a horrible airline i will never travel with them again ever.
Pros: spirit airlines had the cheapest airfare at the time that we booked our trip. the kiosk check-in was smooth.
Cons: we got hungry because of a flight delay so had to purchase in-flight food. the food is overpriced and frankly very disappointing. We splurged for 2 drinks and a snack box that claimed to have a cheese spread - in fact it was more like a dip (liquidy). the crackers almonds were good but the other items were just junk. we have ordered similar boxes on other airlines and got much better bang for our buck. I also think that a complementary beverage service would be nice. We all know that corn syrup is extremely cheap so I don't buy into their ad campaign about how not giving free soda service results in lower fares.
Pros: The flight was the cheapest option available and was cheaper than other airlines.
Cons: While I had heard bad things about Spirit airlines, I had never flown with them before. I was unaware at the time of booking that Spirit charges exorbitant fees for even carry-on luggage. As a result, I chose to attempt to fit all of my clothes and necessary items in a "personal item" sized bag to avoid the additional $90 it would cost me to bring a large backpack or standard carry-on suitcase. Other fees are charged for seemingly standard items such as being able to select a seat location and receiving a drink during the flight. I could have flown with another airline for the same price if I included the carry-on fee, and in retrospect wish I had. The problems did not stop there, however. Both my departing flight and return flight were delayed over an hour in clear weather. The flight itself was also the worst I have experienced. The seats were incredibly uncomfortable and felt like metal folding chairs. They did not recline and there was very little leg room. The full cabin lights were on for most of my return flight, which had been delayed over two hours to 11:15 pm, making any rest impossible. I will never fly Spirit again and will try to spread the word so that nobody else has to endure a flight from this poorly-run, money-grubbing excuse for an airline. You have been warned!
Cons: The flight was cancelled due to the plane being stuck in another city due to weather. I've had this happen before with other airlines, and they were able to rebook me on another airline's flight, with no price difference. With Spirit, they only were able to refund my money or move me to another date, four days later, which would have caused me to miss the event I was supposed to attend over the weekend. I thought since I was flying solo, without my kids in tow, using a cut-rate airline would have worked out. I've had no problems with JetBlue or SW in the past. But I would stay away from using Spirit.
Pros: NOTHING POSITIVE!
Cons: They chose to cancel the return flight within 2 hours of the scheduled departure and were not at all helpful trying to get anyone out on any other airlines (because they're next available flight to that destination was 4 days out...) Not to mention on the initial flight to my destination, they had everyone board the plane 40 minutes early and then told everyone they had to all evacuate the plane and delayed the flight for 4 hours for NO reason!!!!! I would highly recommend avoiding flying spirit airlines at all cost, what I thought was a decent deal ended costing me an extra $400 for my last minute one-way trip and adding many many hours to my time traveling......
Pros: There wasn't much to like on this flight... it was pretty disappointing.
Cons: All the hidden/ extra costs. It adds up to more than what any other airline would have costed and the service was worse. They lost my bag on the way there. They take FOREVER to get the bags to the baggage carousel (even when they make everyone pay extra to check a bag - but not as much to carry on a bag... you do the math). The flight was also delayed by 35 min. Once we got to our home airport, it took another 30+ minutes to even open the door so we could all get off the plane. It then took another 30 minutes once we all got down to the baggage carousel for the first bag to even come out of the baggage carousel.
Cons: Both my round trip flight from Boston to Chicago were canceled due to weather. I wasn't given any warning. The most I got was an email that said "your flight may have been canceled" after the time of when the flight was supposed to leave. I waited in lines for hours to get refunds. I didn't have time to wait a second hour and ended up buying a new flight with American. There were not enough employees to deal with the line of people waiting. We had to wait for two different groups of people flying to other cities to process their baggage. I left the line after an hour or else I would have missed my flight. They gave me a number to call in order to get a refund and this call has taken me about an hour and a lot of explaining, even though a refund was promised. It's too much to deal with. I won't fly with spirit again.
Cons: After being told we were circling our destination due to weather, we were deferred to another airport. This was fine until we were told we'd get sent out on the next plane... Which was also told to the other plane that got deferred (spirit) . Two planes all pushing to get on one. We were then forced to leave the gate with the promise of buses awaiting us. After 4 hours waiting for buses (midnight) I had to spend my own money to rent a car and drive 4.5 hours to my original destination. No offer to be put up in a hotel was offered, nor was an offer to catch another flight. Instead we were told to pay and extra $100 to be placed on standby for the following nights flight to our final destination.
Pros: I took the flight from Boston to Dallas. Because of the extreme weather in Dallas, the plane was not allowed to land in Dallas, which occurred to all the other airlines. However, spirit is the worst to deal with the issue. They flied is us to Houston at around 6:00pm and kept us waiting in the gate for the reopen airport although they already knew the flight got cancelled. There was not clear announcement about their plans. Finally, I got information from other passengers, they provided two options: either refund or take their compliment bus to Dallas. l decided to take the bus. Again, no announcement of where and when the bus would arrive. After 3hr, two buses arrived, but not enough seats for all the passengers. I did not get in and waited for the next round of buses. Until midnight, the buses still had not arrived. I gave up and stayed the hotel near the airport instead. However, AA airlines already sent four buses to take care of their passengers efficiently before 11:00pm
Pros: The person who helped us with our refund was very helpful.
Cons: We arrived to the airport to check our bags and were informed that our flight had been delayed an hour for maintenance. No huge issue with us we decided to eat breakfast and then hang out for a bit before the flight boarded. We arrived at the gate to find out the plane was delayed another 8 hours. I understand issues happen all the time that are out of our hands. The gentleman at the gate was extremely helpful and accommodating, but he still gave it a 50/50 shot of the plane being cancelled or not. We opted to receive a refund and drive to Baltimore. I completely understand that this was a safety issue with the plane. I'm not upset that the flight was delayed. But having to wait 9 hours for a plane that may or may not be able to make it or be cancelled was tough.
Pros: Flight from Boston to Cleveland was only delayed 10 min. Return flight was a different story.
Cons: Return flight landed on time but taxied on the runway for 2 hours (longer than the total flight time). Was only offered 1 small glass of water filled 1/2 up & 1 small package of 2 cookies as a result of federal regulations. Flight attendants & pilot only updated passengers every 25 min, saying it would only be another 10 min longer. As the updates were no accurate and late, passengers including myself were extremely frustrated. Mentioned delay of finding a gate was due to "politics", which I've never heard before. Was extremely disappointed in the way Spirit handled the situation and would not recommend this airline to people as a result.
Pros: I liked the safety instructions given by flight attendant he was creative and funny making the whole plane laugh.
Cons: What did to like? Pretty much everything. Starting with the fact they charge for a carry on. I paid $150 for round trip from Boston to Atlantic city. My carry on cost $42 each way!!! That means I paid $240 total for my flight. That wasn't comfortable, no food or drink offered, ride staff at check in desk, and very Uncomforrabel. I could flown jet blue for that with out any extra costs and a much better experience!!!! Never again will I fly spirit. I understand you get what you paid for. But it was so terrible it seemed that they know they suck but make jokes about it. Never again.
Cons: The nickle-diming of the fares, the long winded check in process, the most uncomfortable seats that I have EVER had the displeasure of occupying, the absence of tray tables or seat pockets and the fact that you had to pay for any beverage or cheap snacks. Not to mention the 2-1/2 hour delay with no explanation. I will never fly them again and will make sure everyone that I know will hear of my experiance along with all of my social media. I could have flown Delta cheaper in the long run and in the future will book with more reliable,up-front airlines!!
Pros: I like that you are in control of what you want/need to spend. You don't have spend money on things that are of no consequence to you.
Cons: The fact that Spirit has a different baggage weight limit than the other carriers was a bit of a shock. We fly a bit and maybe just took the 50 lbs limit to be common. Not at Spirit. The limit was 40 and that kinda made us go "hmmmm". It's not like Spirit hid anything, its just that we weren't looking for the differences to vary from the norm with other airlilnes. Also, the seats. They don't recline and there is much less leg room. This was hard on us as we are all tall. Again, Spirit let us know this was going to happen so there was no "surprise!", but it was uncomfortable on a 3 hr flight. The rest was fine. The crew was very entertaining.
Cons: As a customer I should be informed about additional fees that are clearly stated before the final purchase of the ticket. My concern is that without visible proof of additional fees, it seems your intent is to mislead customers into false advertisement. I should not have to pay for a seat when you check in; it should have been a part of your initial payment of the flight---otherwise what did I pay for in the first place? Additionally, one should not have to pay for a carry on bag--especially $55. That is a lot of money. Moreover, a carry on should be included in the original ticket price as well as the seat price.
Pros: We landed safely. Drink serveice without a cart was interesting and must be easier for the company.
Cons: We didn't care for buying tickets and then getting charges for everything including choosing a seat. The web site was horrible and not mobile friendly. Customer service over the phone read from a script and couldn't really take care of anything for you. Also, Spirit expects you to have access to a computer and printer on your vacation. It "saves you money" to do it online. Yes, most hotels have access to those...assuming you're staying in one. Why can't I just check in on my phone and handle everything else at the airport like I just did on Alaska for my return flight? Why do your flight attendants tell us twice to keep our seats upright when they don't even recline? And, they spent most of flight playing games on their phones/tablets. Cup o noodle!? Really!? Flight industry is tough, I know, and you guys are the bare minimum. Head in expecting a nightmare flight and its not so bad.
Pros: I liked that we had a female pilot on this particular flight.
Cons: I had to pay to get a seat on the plane after I had bought the ticket. Seat prices ranged from $4-$20+, in addition to the plane ticket. There is not a carry on bag included in any of this so you have to pay an additional $45-$55 for a carry on and even more if you want to check a bag. There is no in flight entertainment (I like to read so this I didn't mind too much) or complimentary beverage service. Also, the seats don't recline at all. It ends up being a very uncomfortable flight for the same price you would pay for a better airline that builds that into the price instead of surprising you with fees after the fact. Will likely never fly Spirit again.
Pros: I liked the price and the onboard staff was pleasant. The pilots were appropriately apologetic.
Cons: Our flight was delayed. Then delayed again, then delayed again and eventually cancelled!! So we were re-booked on the evening flight. Twelve hours later! Then that flight was delayed. And delayed again. Finally we took off 2 and a half hours after our scheduled flight time after spending 15 hours at the airport! We lost an entire day of our mini-vacation! We found out our flight was cancelled do to mechanical failure of the plane. We ended up with the very same plane that night and it was not fixed! They still had a problem with their auxillliary power so they had one Hell of a time getting the engines started we sat and sat and waited on the tarmac for the engines to finally be started. When we first arrived, the ticket agents were nice but seemed easily confounded and seemed to need a manager to help them with every single customer. Unfortunately, there was only one to go around. The baggage assistance office person was standoffish and acted like giving one word answers was a big intrusion on her time, although we were the only customers there when we talked to her. Baggage was in front of and behind her office door. We had to go in through a side door she shared with American Airlines. It was as if she wanted to discourage people from talking to her. There is more, but you get the picture.
Cons: The flight to Chicago was fine, but getting home was another story. After delaying the flight about 1.5 hours the flight was cancelled. No real reason was given and no other airlines were canceling flights. When I called to get on the next flight, they said the earliest they could get me home to Boston was in 2 days. Everyone was frantically trying to rebook and the other airlines were selling out. Long story short, I ended up paying $270 for a flight to Providence via Charlotte on American Airline. My husband then drove the hour to Providence to pick me up. All in all....I am all set with Spirit Airlines.
Pros: come on, have you ever been on more than 1 Spirit flight that landed at the expected arrival time?
Cons: being delayed 2 hours due to who knows what and missing captains :-/ And it makes a difference when you're trying to catch a train to DC after midnigt. Every time I fly Spirit, I swear I will never do it again, but the tickets are so cheap and the crew is always so nice. So WTF? Charge me 10 ir 20 more bucks and take off on time a little more than 60% of the time and maybe I'll recommend you to fellow travelers. Otherwise you stay a guilty pleasure and your flight continue to go unfilled. I know I'm not the only one to this...
Cons: Be careful flying with Spirit. Their policy is that you pay a very small base rate, with no frills whatsoever. The seats don't even recline at all. Baggage fees (even when paid online ahead of time) are very costly. You don't even get in-flight water for free. I can't tell you how many customers were upset any complaining about various aspects of the surprise costs associated with this airline; I'd imagine all over the country every day Spirit is causing frustration to hundreds or thousands of people. Would not recommend.
Pros: Clean airplane.
Cons: I feel cheated and deceived. A checked bag costs $50. A carry on costs $55. If you don't realize this before you go the gate it goes from $65 to $100. The counter crew was rude, and the boarding crew in Cleveland was shaking down passengers to be sure they were not "cheating", stopping the boarding process to check passenger receipts. Getting an assigned seat, an extra $15 per person. And there was absolutely no leg room for that extra $15 (which I paid for). These costs should be shared upfront - basically every ticked is $50-$65 more than the website shows. I will not fly this airline again.
Cons: No TSA pre-check, $55 fee for a carry on, crowded seating - felt like I was taking a bus. Would rather pay full price for another airline
