There were MULTIPLE sick people on board the flight and I had two seats but the second person didn’t show. When boarding, someone was in my seat so I moved a row back (no biggie)- but his friend was disgustingly sick (which made sense why he moved to my seat instead of sitting next to him.) I decided to move to the row on the immediate other side away from his germs and the attendant was being a little funny about me moving seats saying on her chart no one was supposed to be there- which caused a Karen attendant to come over and make an even bigger deal- asking me where I’m supposed to be sitting. There were at least 8 open seats in the back and being I paid for TWO- I can move close to the seat I originally paid for being there was a detrimentally SICK gentleman in front of me coughing and sneezing and sniffling. So I had to wear 3 masks and I put my blanket over my head. Very comfortable compared to a moved seat.

The flights are all packed full and the overhead bins are full of things like purses, stuffed animals, and other lightweight bags instead of putting them under the seat. This makes it hard to get actual suitcases up there. The new hook thing for setting your viewing device on is a nice touch though.
Crew members were not very friendly. The flight felt rushed with not much communication from the cockpit. One of the bins was left open during take off. No food or drinks were served supposedly due to turbulence but the turbulence was not that bad.
The AA flight attendant’s attitude could have been better. She should take lessons from the fantastic JAL crew.

There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

The attendants at the counter were not that efficient with rescheduling itineraries, as they were often taking breaks, engaging in chit-chat with other workers, and answering personal phone calls during the process. On the connecting flight back, the ground crew "was not ready" for the plane and advised us to "hang out". This made for very little time in finding my connecting flight home (especially because the assigned gate was not even listed in the airport terminal). Not overly dramatic. Just a lot of small things that culminated in a very frustrating travel day. I will likely be avoiding American Airlines in the future."

I did not fly back to United States thru British airway from Milan to London. London to San Diego on February 5th because my roommate and I got stuck in Egypt, Italy on February 1st as Egyptair at the airport denied us going to Milan due to Covid situation in Italy. We both were tested Covid negative on February 1st. We wanted to fly on British Airway to London on February 1st but not availability. We do not want to stay overnight in Egypt and take another Covid test. Other planes were not available for us to go home on that day except Qater airline. We purchased Water air tickets at Cairo airport and flew home. I called British airway last Friday to cancel seat reservation from Milan, to London to San Diego. I asked for refundable but he said it is not British Airway responsible to get refundable. He said it is my travel agent under AmaWaterWay’s responsible. My agent emailed me today that I did not let British Airway know that I cancelled flights. I feel I should get refundable. (We hurried from customs to the gates with out stopping because we were told our flight would board in 30 minutes). Then once on the plane… sat at the gate for 30 or more minutes without an explanation. Just glad the flight was not canceled.

Pros: "I was very impressed today when one of the airline stewardess went back into the Terminal waiting area to get a passenger's phone charge she left behind. We were all seated when the passenger noticed she had forgotten it and to her credit she walked back to the front of the plane to ask about retrieving the charge. She was particularly concerned because she had just bought it. She came back to her seat and was told they would see what they could do. To our surprise after the doors were closed, the stewardess came back to hand the passenger her charger. She was very grateful! Well done Air Canada."

Pros: "Flight attendants were friendly and considerate. Food was satisfactory and timed appropriately. Entertainment device worked and offered adequate variety. The aircraft itself was clean and comfortable. It was not overly air-conditioned as aircraft tend to be."
Cons: "Boarding was slow and confusing: verbal instructions conflicted with posted signs, and it was hard to choose the right lines. Arrival in Canada was a nightmare! Customs and security were confusing, inefficient, and staffed by people who had little patience. There was much yelling and running around., there appeared to be little sympathy or concern for the dozens of passengers who were attempting to make connecting flights, and it was ridiculous to announce that security closed at 9p.m. .when there were planes on the runway awaiting connecting passengers and people with boarding passes who were not allowed to catch their flights."

Pros: "The Canadian airports are much nicer than the US airports. Things seem to flow better. They are cleaner and have more services than the US. They also have less people. Air Canada is a very good airline. They had schedule issues like any airline, but they handled them well and communicated them well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The meals were very good. Our trip was long, but that was due to our choices. I was very satisfied and highly recommend Air Canada."

Cons: "Booked 4 months in advance - flew solo. Only window seat left was at the very back, near where the crew prepared everything. The entire flight was spent listening to them prepare meals, discuss their trip itinerary, shifts and how Air Canada treats them, as employees, so poorly. The crew were very short with most passengers and it seemed over staffed."

Pros: "Never got on this flight. We were never given an email to self check in, and we're unable to board 45 mins before at the gate coming frim anotthe flight. They overbooked this flight & sold our tickets, and then told us we couldn't get on flight. Now we are out $2500 buying new tix!"
Cons: "All the above. A simple check in email would have averted this problem. All the other airlines do this. We were under the presumption that we had to check in at airport when we didn't get check-in notice. Furthermore, they sold our tickets, so we're down $2500 and they doubled their profit. It would be hard for me to say I will use Air Canada or kayak in the future."
Pros: "Friendly flight attendants, many whom seemed to enjoy their jobs and wanted to make everything a pleasant experience. Was used to Delta Airlines for over 20 years and they became the nightmare airline for Cincinnati. Best of luck to Air Canada in the future."

There would have been plenty of room for our baggage! One more reason to never fly United again!"

Pros: "The boarding process is terrible, because communication breakdown is inevitable. The crew on the plane are sometimes rude, and have no patience when passing seated passengers. One air hostess constantly bumped into my arm like a bull as she passed walking down the isle. Entertainment is practically non-existent on long flights unless you pay for it. Two of my flights were cancelled last minute with little to no remorse, and I had to wait 2 days to catch the next flight. That flight was even delayed more than an hour. I was sick by time I reached my destination. Overall, United would not be my 1st choice due to bad experiences numerous times."

The fact that for a long (3h- 4h and 5h) flight (took 4 overall during the holidays) united didn't offered ONE movie for free at least was very disappointing. Not one of my flights were on-time!"

Pros: "We were diverted to Austin due to weather. We had to refuel and we were stuck on the Tarmac for over an hour. While all of this was miserable, the Crew stayed active answering questions. The Captain gave several updates and walked the aisle. They even let people off the plane who were trying to get to Austin. For a bad situation this crew made it so much better!"

You should earn the clients - even economy passengers - when this seat is the one being assigned to them. I would payed beforehand to get a more comfortable seat if I'd known I was to fly on a no-reclining seat on an overnight flight."
Cons: "They delayed the flight due to "operational difficulties". I understand this happens, however, their communication towards customers was unacceptable. They first announced a 20 min delay, followed by another 30 min, then 30 more and then 30 more than then 30 more! They basically kept us at the gate for 2 1/2 hours until the found another plane. For a business like United, and flying out of their hub this is completely unacceptable. We ended up leaving at 11pm for a flight scheduled at 8. They didnt give anything in the plane to make up for it. No food, no free wifi, nothing."

By the time we got to our destination we almost didn't get a rental car. There was some turbulence on the flight, which is expected. Landing was very rough, came in too fast and hit the breaks so hard I thought I was going to end up in the back of the seat in front of me."

Cons: "I purchased my tickets on 10/30/2015 for an aisle seat. I check in the day before and no seat assignment, get to the kiosk and no seat assignment. I see the agent at the gate and she gives me a middle seat, I complained and she gave me an aisle seat. I get to my seat and someone is sitting in that seat, I go back to the front of the plane and wait to be assigned to another seat. The agent said they changed the plane that's why everyone lost seat assignments, 6 out of the 8 people that all booked together sat in their assigned seats. Never fly with them again."
