When initially assigned my son, it said: "No one under 2 is allowed to seat in emergency seats" a bit misleading and inconvenient. Other than this we had a great experience."

Left us on our connection flight in Cali, Colombia made us (15 passengers) wait for our bus we all had to pickup and carry our luggage’s out to the streets rcause they don’t have enough money to pay for a cart when we were actually in that situation because for them. Next day we were transported (they show up 2 hours later from the promised time) we were transported to the airport to actually catch a flight to another different city to then arrive wait 4 more hours to catch a plane to our final destination... a 3 hours and 45 minutes flight from Miami turned into a 4 different city, hotel and nightmare, luggage’s were broke and everybody turned out to be rude rude rude rude!!!!!!... I am still waiting for my $200 promised Boucher. This is my last time flying with AVIANCA. I am a frequent flyer and have made the decision to fly AA from now On... Actually just purchased a ticket which was actually $100 more than Avianca... nothing like great service and respect towards your clients... I’m also making sure NOBODY flys with AVIANCA."

While I'm stressfully paying an extra $320 and knowing I'm going to lose 1 whole day of my vacation in Rio because of one little detail that could be solved by opening the door and letting me in, I see the plane there sitting in the same spot for another 15-20 mins without moving. What makes this particular flight so unbelievable, and maybe it was just a training day because there was a lot of airline personnel at the check in kiosk, but I have never processed on to a flight in Columbia, given up my baggage, and be walking to the gate so fast in my life! I truly hope this is something that will become standard, and I pray to God that the other airlines especially Viva will learn how to do!"

What I can't understand is LATAM waiting until I arrived to the airport to tell me that it was delayed (instead of calling or sending an email) and told me that it is MY FAULT for not reviewing the website. In addition, at the counter they told us that we didn't need to do a line again for dropping bags in the morning. However, when we arrived the next morning we had to do a 40 minute line. The pain was compounded by a member of the staff yelling at me for asking him to be moved to a quicker line because I could miss my flight. I've always flown on Lan (now Latam) and I've never had this bad experience before. I'm really disappointed!!"

Cons: "First of all I bought my ticket through Kayak, but apparently something called the flight network was the issuer of my ticket apparently they are and travel agency in canada , first i needed to change my ticket and they could not do it , then I dis not use my outbound flight because I needed to get to my destinantion one day earlier and yesterday i received an email saying that my return flight was cancelled. they told me that since i did not use my outbound they automatically cancelled my return flight, I ended up loosing 300 USD because of mis information from that travel agency , the people that answered my call were very disrispectfull, this has been the worse experience and ai ended up loosing all my money I had to purchase another return ticket."

I missed my once in a lifetime experience because the airline is greedy at my (and other people's) expense. I missed out on a priceless experience. Not only that, the bag that I checked did not make it off the flight so I remained in DC while my bag went to Medellin. I had to purchase new toiletries and had to make arrangements to get back to the airport. As of now, I do not plan on choosing American Airline nor LATAM for my future flights."

Recently I have been flying economy and from the moment checking in to leaving the plane is a terrible experience. I have had on numerous occasions when checking in at the airport that I was lied to regarding the seat I was in. Or there was more than one person with the same seat. Food and the wine is awful. I would not even eat it if I was starving. When flying the overnight/ morning flight they leave the cabin lights on pretty much the entire way, their excuse is that they need to serve dinner, but who serves dinner at 0500 in the morning anyways. My last flight I asked if I could borrow a pen, and they told me they do not give out pens to customers. I will never fly LAN again except for business class. On American Airlines they are a lot more friendlier. Also a shame that they do not have a way of recognising the people that fly with them frequently, I have flown with LAN 10 times in the last 12 months. They have a bad attitude."

They kept us till 2AM at the airport and made us take out all our luggage before taking us to a hotel. They told us that it was a direct flight as it was initially scheduled from Lima to La Paz, but that was not true as we had to stop in Santa Cruz first. To sum up, there was a 28-hour delay in total. I was supposed to get to La Paz on Jan. 28 and ended up arriving on the 29. No explanations were given, but it is clear that they oversold as all flights were full. Avoid this airline if you can."

Pros: "The flight itself was about as average as any other flight. At least all our luggage made it from the incoming flight from Key West to join us in Charlotte. That was our final destination but most of the passengers were making additional connections."
Cons: "The boarding went like the plane was ready to leave on time, except it didn't. There was a delay because the flight crew came from another arriving flight, so they had to go through the full pre-flight checklist. Then there was a "minor maintenance issue" that couldn't be fixed right away because it was "shift change" for the maintenance crews. Eventually they arrived and fixed whatever, while everyone was getting texts and alerts that kept delaying the departure by 15-minute intervals. Over an hour (while sitting in a warm plane) after the original scheduled departure, we left the gate, sat on the taxiway a while, then took off. Cabin crew only had cookies and drinks, no other snacks or food. All anyone got was an apology for the extended delay."

I was shocked. Also on line I was led to believe a carry on was included, but again I was charged. Seating was terribly cramped. I will do my best to never fly Spirit in the future."
Cons: "I'm not sure how it's legal that spirit doesn't include the exit tax for a country when every single other airline does include it in their KAYAK posted price. There is literally a tax window in San Pedro Sulu, Honduras that says for "spirit airlines passengers" charging $47 per person that my family of 5 had to pay to get out of honduras. Continental would have been cheaper. The exit tax for a country is a required tax. Why is the tax included in the KAYAK posted continental price but not spirit? Only spirit airlines passengers had to pay it. That's messed up. Kayak should be more aware that prices they list aren't truly accurate as all the required taxes were not included. I'm not talking about baggage fees or meal fees or seat selection fees which aren't required if you don't want to pay it, I'm talking about a required tax to get back on the plane."

Waited again for a hour for luggage in Detroit. It's like flying gives them the right to your property and treat your horrible. I'm all done I would assume it's kinda like jail but I have not broken laws. Horrible expierence. Never fly spirit"

They don't have a way to create a pdf and show and scan it. I won't book this airline again. I could have booked Delta and would have ended up saving if I had understood the charges."

Hoping they don't miss there train once arriving at the airport, these people move slow, Josh - We do have 6 wheelchairs but we will see if they can miraculously walk once we arrive. The brunnette, 19f (the water passenger) better hope I don't have the marshals waiting for her, let her look at me one more time!" I was sitting in row 24... Yes I could hear it all.... Completely UNPROFESSIONAL...!"

Cons: "The bag fees were more than the flight. The travel insurance that I purchased on Spirits website with the tickets, even though they had emailed me a copy of the policy, had no record of the purchase when I called them with a question. Spirits website lists the size limits of carry on bags and the fees. They explain that it's more at the gate. I paid in advance for my laptop bag after measuring it and finding it did not meet the requirements of free carry on. At the gate I found out the laptop bag would be no charge. Spirits policy? No refunds of course. Just a $90 credit if I ever use their crappy airline in the future. I requested and paid extra for seats that were not over the wing (my wife takes pictures). We were over a wing. I paid for early boarding. It was never called ( the attendant asked for passengers with special needs). In closing, I am very disappointed that Kayak would even associate themselves with these scam artists. Low cost has limits. It's still supposed to be a service industry. Spirit is atrocious, but I became entangled with them through Kayak. I wont forget that."
Cons: "When I sat in seat I could smell vomit. several time throughout the flight I could smell a strong odor of vomit. It was difficult to not get sick myself at times. At the end of the flight while gathering my belongings I noticed that on the right edge of my seat between the plastic frame and cushion was vomit! It was so disgusting! I am grossed out by the unsanitary disregard for how the vomit was not cleaned up!"
Pros: "Spirit delayed our flight by 2 hours, and then cancelled it completely once they realized they DIDN'T HAVE A PILOT!!!! This airline is a complete joke. They left 300 people scrambling at 7:45pm trying to figure out how to get home, and all they were offering were connecting flights DAYS later. I will never, ever, fly Spirit again. Even if it's a $1 flight. Not worth the stress."
