The United Kingdom has reimposed national lockdown.
From January 4, National lockdown in England is in effect. Traveling away from home, including internationally, is restricted from England except in limited circumstances such as for work or for education.
Foreign nationals are subject to the ‘Stay at Home’ regulations. They should not travel abroad unless it is permitted.
Different rules apply in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Travelers must follow all the rules that apply to them.
From November 20, Scotland restricted cross-border travels within the UK, only essential travels—which includes health reasons, work and for study—will be allowed to enter and leave Scotland. People living within Level 3 or Level 4 lockdown areas in Scotland are also not permitted to leave their area, and banned from traveling overseas, though people in Level 0-2 are not.
Travelers who have been in or transited through ared list travel ban countries in the past 10 days are not allowed to enter The United Kingdom with the exception of British nationals, nationals of Ireland, residents of the UK.
Certain areas of the UK and Crown Dependencies may have specific travel regulations. Check the relevant page for information related to travel to Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Shetland, and Orkney.
All travelers entering the United Kingdom must present a completed "Public Health Passenger Locator Form" to immigration upon arrival.
On January 18, all travelers to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, including UK nationals returning home, must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR, antigen or LAMP test result taken within 3 days prior to departure.
Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena), will not be in scope of the regulations. Children under the age of 11 will also not be required to complete pre-departure testing.
Until January 21, travelers from Antigua and Barbuda, St Lucia or Barbados will also not be in scope of the regulations.
On January 18, travel corridors will be suspended, all travelers arriving in the UK from any foreign country except Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man are subject to 10-day self-isolation. Travelers can take a test on the 5th day of their arrival, if the test result is negative the self-isolation period will end as soon as they receive the result, they must continue to self-isolate while awaiting for the test result. If the test is positive they need to self-isolate for another 10 days. Count the 10 days starting from the day they took the test, or from when they first had symptoms if that is earlier.
From February 15, British nationals, nationals of Ireland, residents of the UK who have been in or through a red list travel ban country in the past 10 days must quarantine in a government approved hotel for 10 days. They cannot use the Test to Release scheme.

All travelers on flights to the UK must wear face coverings on aircraft and on public transport upon arrival thereafter. Passengers using taxis and private hire vehicles should also use a face covering for the duration of their journey. Drivers may refuse to transport passengers who do not follow guidance for safe travel.
From March 8, passenger traveling abroad will need to carry a new travel declaration form stating that their trip is permitted under UK national lockdown rules. On our outward bound flight three weeks earlier, we were all met and escorted swiftly by a flight attendant from the first leg plane (EWR-MUN) to the second leg plane (MUN-Nice) to ensure that we all made it onboard. Impressive. On our return journey, no such luck! No attendant to meet us, and a huge line at immigration, full of panicked and stressed-out passengers jockeying for position, with no-one from ANY airline there to do a triage for those with the shortest connections. Ridiculous. In addition, the passport-scanning machines were very slow and quirky. My own passport was rejected because there was no evidence I had passed through Munich on my outward bound journey!! RIDICULOUS. I managed to slip through to a human being and begged the immigration officer to let me go through with my husband, who had had no such problem. The officer told me he could not find a stamp from my earlier transit through!!! Eventually I suppose he did because he let me through. The stamp was there, I found it, but it had been sloppily applied and was half off the page...hence the rejection by the scanner. We made the flight by minutes. NOT GOOD! Surely Lufthansa could do better in their own country???"

Because flight was delayed and I had to fly to Talin and then to RigaI I arrived at 10pm plus took me another 30min to figure out what happened with my luggage. I am still in Riga waiting for the morning to schedule another ride home. Very long , inconvenient trip ;-("

It's always about the airport problem with crowded passengers or in size not aeroplane. Everything is about time control . ICN is quite large in scale so I couldn't use duty free shop due to so many passengers and the spacious hallways even though I had 2hours . perhaps you gotta presume it as 3hours for enough time . so I had to throw out my lotion or moisturizer at ICN .pfff I wasted my money :p"

Cons: "Because the flight was through british airways, extra baggage was $90 much more expensive than Finnair's prices. After paying that before departure to London I recieved an email from British Airways that stated an extra bag for both my flight to London and return flight to San Francisco had been fully paid for. At the airport I was told by British Airways employees that I would have to pay another $90 regardless of what my email said because their official prices are $90 each way not both. I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info."

They sent a text message at 7:15 apparently but my phone was not on so I understand not receiving it. I also left for the airport around 7:15. I also received an email from Kayak at 7 am that said there was no delay so I didn't check to see if there would be any others. I never received an email from Kayak about the delay. I would just suggest making sure all the alerts I get are correct. The decoration of the plane looked old and worn. The crew were more interested in getting the job done quickly than properly."
