Was late getting out of the gate so missed our connection in Atlanta
Couldn’t have been better.
Pros: "We flew from Anchorage to Boston via Seattle. If there had not been a delay in Anchorage, the flight would have been excellent. However, there was a mechanical problem earlier in the day with a plane to Cincinnati. Our flight was scheduled to leave Anchorage at 4pm, but Delta decided to take our pane from us and use it as a substitute for the original but nonfunctional Cincinatti plane. A ridiculous decision. The Cincinnati people already had missed all their connections, but now all the Seattle people missed theirs as well. When we finally got to Seattle 3 hours late (just before midnight), the desk agent said that Delta had no hotel rooms for us and also no hotel vouchers. We thus had to find a room and pay for it on our own. The next day, we had been rescheduled to Detroit and then on another flight from there to Boston. The flight to Detroit arrived nearly 30 minutes late, and we just barely made our connection. Had we missed it, we would have had to spend that night in Detroit. Delta did its best to keep the two of us together. On the Seattle-Detroit flight we were on opposite sides of the aisle in the same row, but that was in a row right behind a bulkhead, making it easy for us to walk over to each other. On the Detroit-Boston flight we were next to each other. Both flights were completely full, so Delta must have made some effort to keep us together as well as possible."
Cons: "Delta should not have made the dumb decision to take the Seattle-bound plane and use it as a substitute for the malfunctioning Cincinnati plane. Delta should have provided accommodations for the stranded travelers once they arrived in Seattle."
Pros: "Middle seats not booked. Cabin very clean, bathrooms kept tidy throughout trip. Very friendly crew. Appreciated cold drinks and selection of snacks,"
Pros: "I loved all the updated COVID protocols and the commitment to a safe comfortable flight. The crew did everything possible to ensure the trace experience was as smooth as it possibly could have been and showed a great deal of patience with my family of five that moves kinda slow sometimes."

Cons: "I purchased a first class ticket in hopes that I would have a lot more comfort during the flight. It took me quite some time to get comfortable. The seat was ok, but I found the pillows to be very small and flat. I needed multiple pillows. The head rest was not adjustable, so I also found this to be uncomfortable. Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

Cons: "This was the fourth first class leg of our overall trip and the first three flights on Delta were great. The attendants were pleasant and even fun. I have allergies and requested a special meal on all legs. No problem on the first three flights. All attendants approached me to confirm my allergy and the special meal. They were very polite. But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned."

Interacting with her was refreshing."
Cons: "Getting home to Colorado Springs at 11:30 PM, taxiing for 15-20 minutes, and then waiting another 20-30 for checked luggage! Never have I waited that long during and after a Southwest flight! AA could truly learn something from their more modest counterpart. I have all but decided to resume my drives to Denver every other week rather than risk more and more time and poor experiences with AA flying in-and-out of Colorado Springs."

Cons: "The personnel handling the front desk at check in gave myself and others bad information about how to check a bag. Which resulted in me being called to the desk at the gate about 30 minutes prior to boarding and being told I screwed up checking my bag when I was just following the instructions given to me. Was then told I had to leave the secure area of the airport, go back to the front to check my bag all within 30 minutes of boarding. when I returned thru the TSA checkpoint they were rude, obviously, but more importantly the flight was boarding early. So you could've 1. told me what the actual procedure is for checking my bag instead of telling me "just leave it by the green lit up check mark then 2. told me at the gate that not only do i need to go fix your mistakes for you but that youd also board my flight early thereby putting me in jeopardy of missing my flight. all i got was a very insincere apology when I complained up front and at the gate about the airline's screw up. i get that you're all human like me and make mistakes but the customer is always right. there was a time in this country when customer appreciation and service were important standards and qualities businesses thrived on. Don't know what happened to those days... Also i should not need to be a first class passenger to get a meal during a flight. whatever happened to meals for everyone? you (all airlines in the US) charge way too much money and provide poor service compared to pre-9-11 days. I dont see how one event can justify the loss in service but the increase in ticket price. you should all get back to what flying should be about: fun and time saving."

If I could have changed it myself they should have told me. On the way to Tampa on 3rd March I couldn't check in within 24 hours and had to wait half an hour while they changed our plane. BA used to do short science programmes which I loved. Shame these have finished."

My experience there was to much to handle. I was supposed to get to Colorado Friday night but didn't even get here time Saturday afternoon. Really upsetted me because I leave wednsday so I don't have enough time to be with my boyfriend. I honestly don't think I'll be flying American Airlines again"

One of the flight crew members even found me at customs to return a toy we had inadvertently left that belonged to my 13 month old. She certainly did not have to do that, so we are very thankful. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name."
Cons: "Unlike other airlines we have traveled that give priority to people traveling with children, American Airlines does not. That would be something that would be helpful for traveling parents. Allowing people with children to board first and get off the plane first would make things better for all passengers. Planes are also outdated. We have been traveling with other airlines that have individual screens. Much easier for people to travel on long flights when they have individual entertainment."

Cons: "I tried to switch my flight to an earlier time. First, they charge $75 (Southwest is always free). Second, the gate agent charged me and let me board, but her boss came on the plane and pulled me off because I wasn't Executive Platinum status! The plane took off with an empty seat and I had to wait two more hours for the first flight. When I complained to AA about it, they sent me a $50 voucher. I don't plan on giving any business to AA for the rest of my life."

Cons: "The way the whole thing was handled. I ended up flying on the 5th because of the issues with weather. My general problem was with the way the situation was handled. We shouldn't have boarded the plane on the 4th given the fact that the pilots were probably gonna time out anyway. Instead of wasting time, the protocol should've been to begin rebooking everybody to another flight. Just my two cents"

Pros: "This is not a long flight (Grand Rapids, MI to Newark, NJ: just under 2 hours). There was a minor delay for departure of 20 minutes that Kayak and United kept us well aware of. The Grand Rapids, Ml airport is one of my new favorites -it's small, friendly, comfortable and quick and easy to navigate."

Cons: "Our plane was delayed leaving Grand Rapids. Once in Houston there was no gate available causing another 10 minute delay. All bags were required to be checked plane side so once we finally got off the plane it took another 10 minutes to get our bags. Many passengers had tight connections and had to rush to their next flight. My connection was already tight as it was - and I had to go to a completely different terminal very far from where I was to catch it. Five of us were on that flight connecting to San Diego. We finally made it to the gate. The plane was still there but the door was closed so we were not allowed to board. It was the last flight out so we were stranded in Houston overnight. This caused me to miss a very important medical appointment this morning - and to have to cancel client sessions leading to a significant loss of income."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 9 hours. Weather on both ends was great. Stuff happens, I get it. But to have no one at the gate and no explanation is incredibly cowardly. And then to do the usual banter at 2 and 3 in the morning thanking us for “choosing” Frontier and other chipper comments rang incredibly hollow. Things like “we hope you had a great flight!” A great flight by Frontier standards would have gotten us to our destination on time. The meal voucher is a complete joke — sending an email for us to get the voucher from the gate agent AND THEN NOT HAVING A GATE AGENT UNTIL 90% OF THE AIRPORT RESTAURANTS ARE CLOSED is just beyond all decency. I will never fly Frontier again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague. If you only have one thing to offer (reasonably on time flights) then you should do that one thing really well. Frontier doesn’t."

At one point the, the person at the desk picked up their belongings and left the passengers at the gate. Weather was the excuse but there wasn’t any severe weather in either destination!"

An hour late leaving DTW, made up time in air only to sit on tarmac on MCO for a gate. Overhead announcement said reason we could not move was people were not in seats... not at all true after they announced to sit, everyone sat... no further explanation... here we still sit"

Cons: "Starting with boarding- what happened to loading the back of the plane first? That was much more efficient! That way the people in the back don't have to wait for row 8 to get settled before the rest of the plane can proceed with boarding. Once you get to your seat, it's so uncomfortable! They're molded in such a way your head always leans forward, they don't recline, there's very little leg room or side room. Arm rests are half the size of the usual, and tray tables are also half the size! If you're on the plane for an hour flight, it's do-able, but any longer than that, you'll be miserable. For the record, I'm tall and thin, and I felt squished sideways."

Cons: "Plane was delayed half hour. Could have been cleaned better. Forward bathroom smelled like urine. Don't like the request for tip when purchasing food or beverage. We are already charged for EVERYTHING!"

Cons: "Paid $366 for a flight that would normally cost me < $250. Get charged EXTRA to pick a damn seat, both ways. Get charged MORE to check a bag each way. DON'T get ANY complimentary snack or drink, but SURPRISE, they ARE available for PURCHASE. There is NO in flight entertainment...not tv, not music...nothing. And, the seats do not recline...at all. Oh, did I mention this was a bereavement flight, which apparently airlines don't even acknowledge anymore?"

Pros: "Even though lots of changes occur daily in the airline industry. Frontiers flight staff has adapted well and really focuses on accommodating there passengers. I hope to some day soon to fly with frontier during my next journey."
Pros: "Overall, I was VERY happy with both my flights. I've been flying Spirit the past few times I've traveled and after flying Spirit for so long Frontier was a breath of fresh air! The lines to check in our luggage were minimal, each flight arrived about 30 min early to our destination, we got our luggage back in a timely manner. Operationally, our flying experience with Frontier went without a hitch!"
Cons: "No major complaints. As I mentioned, we've had been flying Spirit quite often and after so many headaches with flying that airline I was happy to pay a little bit more to fly Frontier and not run into any complications of any kind! Thank you for being operationally on top of your game Frontier!"
Pros: "If you have ever flown Ryan air ,this appears to be the American version."
Pros: "The pilot flew the plane very well. We had some very heavy winds. Great job on tbat front. The flight atendants were very unfriendly and seemed to be difficult to work with. Having to pay for checked baggage, cary on, and beverages puts you in the class of Sprit Airlines. So unless you fix this, i may not fly Frontier very often."
Pros: "The gate crew was very courteous when they told us that our flight was canceled"
Cons: "Our flight was canceled and we were unable to be rebooked until 6 days later which would have been the majority of the Christmas holiday to spend with my folks. We drove 30 hours one way instead."

Cons: "The attendants in the airport at DTW weren't very friendly and throw luggage on the conveyor belt not taking into consideration people's belongings. Also the cost of bags and having to pay additionally for the seat is ridiculous. I would have rather pay a little more for a ticket for a nicer plane and be able to take my carry-on And my purse for free. I actually payed more with the cost of a ticket, bags and seat than a flight out with another airline. Both flights I took PHX-DTW and back were both significantly delayed. The seats were uncomfortable and tight. This is the first and last time flying with Frontier airlines."
Pros: "Jody. She was an attendant and was super nice and friendly"
Cons: "Everything other than Jody. It would take too long to type everything that went bad. Nothing was good, crappy check in, flights got delayed on Saturday and Sunday and they told me the next flight they could get me on was 4 days later. They do not have the ability to catch up from weather delays. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS."
Cons: "The line to checkin for flight was very long (not enough employees). We were told to go to Gate 20, then told to go to another gate along with two other flights. Waited for hours with no information as to what the problem was or when the flight would leave (same for other two fights). There were no Frontier employees in the terminal to be found to ask. It was all very unorganized! Finally one employee made an anouncement that we had no flight crew. Again waited in line for hour and half to talk to the one employee working the desk. Then waited almost two hours for bag at baggage claim. Still did not get luggage. Had to pay to stay in hotel and book flight on United the next day. When I tried to ask a Frontier employ the next morning where I should go to find luggage he was extremely rude and said I had to wait in line with a bunch of other people trying to check in and others that were on a flight that was just cancelled. There is not baggage offfice like other airlines have - they are too cheap!!. Their fairs are cheep but they nickle and dime you to death with baggage fees and seating feas, seats are cramped and uncomfortable, employees (the few they have) are rude. I think the airline is extremely cheap, unorganized and pathetic. By the way, i filed a claim on my luggage on line as directed by the recording you get when you call (because there is no one to talk to) and now received an email that I need to file claim with the baggage office at the airport. What baggage office??????"
Cons: "The flight was canceled after was it delayed when they already knew there was no flight team available. How horrible is that? How do you keep 120 people waiting for hours and then cancel when you knew you could not have a team available. I will never fly them again and you shouldn't either."
Pros: "Nothing. I'm not happy with this airline. Thought I'd try out frontier and again disappointed."
Cons: "Frontier never alerted me until I got to hr gate that my flight had been cancelled. Airport monitors and website was not updated, until boarding until flight attendant announce cancelled flight. Nothing was available for me to fly out and nothing offered to help find a flight with other airline or hotel stay or rents stay. Frontier does not have customer service support and obviously doesn't care for their customers."

Pros: "I've learned to pack whatever I need into a backpack that's within their personal item limits. This makes traveling on cheap flights easy."
Cons: "I won't fly Frontier again. The fact that we arrived into Colorado Springs 5 1/2 hours late wasn't the issue, as weather cannot be helped. But it was the lack of organization in the face of adversity that aggravated all the customers most. I would think a prestigious company like Frontier would have a better Plan B, than to unload us all in DIA, not allow us to retrieve our bags and find a faster way home, wait for a new flight crew, wait longer for a new plane, and once re-boarding to wait even longer because bags had never been loaded onto the new plane and there was no ramp crew. A shuttle to Colorado Springs would have been three hours faster. Think outside the box. Our patience was indeed tested."

Cons: "Delayed for over 4 hours. 12:40 flight, We were supposed to fully boarded by 4:20pm and in flight by 4:30. We didnt start boarding until almost 4:30. For the delay. We only received $10 food voucher."
Cons: "They overbooked the flight, so we were told to get there two hours early, 3:30am! So we wouldn't loose our seats. The plane wasn't even full. And security doesn't open until 4am. A bunch of BS. They charge for carry on. They charge for check in. They charge for your seat selection. They charge for any type of good or beverage on the plane. $2 just for a small cup of coffee. I am surprised they don't charge to use the restroom. All the money I thought I saved from flying Frontier was quickly used to pay all the extra fees."

Cons: "Paying $1.99 for coffee. Sitting on the tarmac in Denver for over 20 minutes because we came in early and there was a plane at our gate. The seat I sat in (5A) was filthy and the floor was disgusting. Also, for sitting so close to the front, there was no additional leg room."
Pros: "This was my first flight on Frontier and didn't know what to expect. When my iPhone boarding pass wouldn't work at security I was sent to the Frontier counter and they helped me instantly. The Phoenix boarding lounge was NOT a good introduction with holes and rips in the seats and a "sofa" that rocked everyone on it whenever someone moved.. The gate attendant however was great - and funny. The plane was VERY nice and made up for the lounge plus we made it to Colorado Springs 20 minutes early! The price ($56 including fees and taxes) means I'll be looking at Frontier in the future."

Pros: "The boarding and deplaning process was very fast. Most likely this is due to the fact that it is less expensive to check a bag than to carry one on, so there were way fewer bags overhead than on a typical flight with another airline."
Cons: "Be prepared to pay if you want to eat or drink. All items are for purchase only. I don't think that my seat reclined at all (and I wasn't near an exit row), so no sleep for me on my almost three hour flight."

Cons: "For starters when checking in at the ticket booth they don't take cash. I had to buy a prepaid card and pay 45 with card fee to check one 30lbs bag. Then I had to sit in one of the most uncomfortable seats. Everything on flight as far as drinks and snacks went was purchase only . no wifi was available not even to purchase.. Then when I got to my destination my bags where not there I had to wait till 4:45pm the next day. No refund was given for baggage check they made it seem like it was no big deal."

Cons: "When you go to check in and choose your seats, each seat has a dollar amount...I thought I already paid for my ticket!! What they don't explain is that you can check in at the airport and get your seat assignment (without paying extra) and leave it to chance, or pay for a seat reservation in advance. Water was free...that's it. You could buy "snacks" with a credit card only. We sat on the tarmac for 1/2 hour waiting for another flight to leave...this airline company feels new, like they are "flying by the seat of their pants"...in the long run, I paid the same amount as a more well known carrier, so I don't see the benefit to their "spare" and "more affordable" approach."

Cons: "Baggage check-in had one very long line. I waited 40 minutes to simply check my bags. My two small bags were expensive to check (compared with other airlines). After all expenses there were no savings over other airlines (other airlines with better service and better jets). Frontier has NO TSA PRE CHECK PROGRAM!!! Initial flight it was a big nuisance, return flight it was even worse. The security line was at least a 2 hour wait. The Frontier flight in the gate next to us left without 25+ passengers because they were still in line at security. The flight: this was the roughest most frightening flight I've encountered. I found myself having to calm down the passenger next to me. We arrived 40 min late. Return trip: my luggage didn't appear and I had to file paperwork at the ticket desk on another floor. The 2 pieces of luggage were found and delivered to me 3 days after. Case closed. I don't mind the no-frills interior & seats that don't recline. I can bring my own snacks and beverages. But this airline disregards the value of my time."
Cons: "I thought the flight attendant was very rude to a young mother flying alone with her young child over a seat belt issue ( this was before the seat belt sign was illuminated)."
Cons: "The flight was cancelled and could only be rescheduled via phone, which took over 3 hours. At that point, we had to pay $138 per person for a flight the following day. We also lost $90 for baggage and seat fees which was not reimbursed. I'm still in shock about how poorly this situation was handled by Frontier."
