Cons: "The Flight was inconveniently delayed and all they offered us were some cheap snacks and soda. I was completely annoyed by the whole situation."

Cons: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

Pros: "Flight was quick- onboard entertainment (streaming videos to your device) was cool...but the back of the plane is pretty bumpy and there was a lot of turbulance."

Cons: "But it is a 3-3 and there no room to sit cause we are hip to hip which means shoulders overlap shoulders. It is horrible. Avoid this plane at all costs. It's really bad. Pitch of leg room is barely OK but side to side they have sunk to a new low. The new plane doesn't blow any air. Terrible system. Really? That should be easy to fix."

Pros: "It's pretty rare I can sleep on a plane, but I actually got some rest; very grateful for that."
Cons: "At 6'7", basic coach on a 737 is painful on the knees. I realize I can exit row for an upcharge, but that's kind of messed up, isn't it?"

Cons: "They lost my luggage and that was horrible but they delivered it to my hotel which was nice."

Pros: "Seats were comfortable, the plane was clean, and all flights left and landed as scheduled. Actually, they landed and unloaded is early! Would recommend if you don't mind paying extra $25 to check a bag."

Cons: "My first flight was canceled then they took it upon themselves to bump me off the next light and put me on the latest flight where I got there at 11 o'clock at night then on the way home it was delayed again I missed my connecting flight and then he put me on the latest flight again it was a complete nightmare"

Pros: "On time departure and arrival. Plane was clean and seating was not uncomfortable althouth they didn't recline very much. Short flight so it was o.k."

Pros: "The plane was clean, a/c worked well. Stewardesses offered food and drinks several times. Pilot repeatedly came over the intercom with updates on the flight."
Cons: "There was an annoying rattling noize coming from above my seat near the roof and wall."

Pros: "Plane was delayed repeatedly, then cancelled. I missed work and was originally offered a flight for twi days later. That wouldve been three days in an airport ? I had to purchase a room, taxi, and then spend the following day in the airport as that flight was repeatedly delayed. I booked a direct flight and was not rescheduled for such. Still waiting for reply from American Airlines. First time flying with this carrier and disappointed is an understatement."

Pros: "Loved that he was upfront with all of us that it would be a bumpy flight after about 20 minutes, which he was correct and very accurate."
Cons: "I thought his delivery sounded a little more "worrisome" than it needed to be. I thought that he could have expressed the same sentiment, while sounding more confident in his ability and more soothing for folks like me who despise turbulence:)"

Cons: "Flight was changed without notice did NOT go to Charlotte instead flew Detroit to Dallas! To Tampa- a little out of the way. After we were checked in and ready to board I then got a call to notify me the flight was changed. Boarding was awful made me check small carry on when there was several open over-head compartments and several others were walking in with two + carry ons. How do you explain that? I will NEVER fly American Airlines again. The airplane from Dallas to Tampa was ancient, a little scary to even think it was still in the air. The air conditioning was minimal I could hear other passengers complaining it was extremely uncomfortable."

Cons: "Flight delay after flight delay after a terrible experience with Spirit and having to switch to your airline."

Cons: "American has never been reliable, and this time was no exception. 3 hour delay and they put me in a hotel 20mins away. Bobby was helpful though at getting me a new flight, but should have given more in food vouchers"
