While Delta re-booked me on United, my flight arrived 3 hours later than scheduled (so transportation plans had to change), my bag did not successfully move from the Delta flight to the United flight (and was thus delayed in getting to GRU) AND once the bag was received, 4 shirts had been stolen. While a delay/theft claim has been filed with United, this could all have been avoided if the Delta flights had been on time."

Over the course of 4 hours, the crew kept us updated with every little change and were all very helpful! (If I leaned back on the backrest it would collapse/fold up. I learned I had to lean forward to keep it up.) Everyone was very accommodating and very helpful! At the Provo Airport they gave me a regular wheelchair and I showed them how to remove the lithium battery, remove and stow the joystick and how to fold my chair. No drinks or snacks unless you pay for them. On arrival I waited for everyone else to exit but also took advantage of the lavatory to relieve my bladder ;-). They were waiting trying to unfold my chair. I gave them instructions to step there and lift on the arms and up it went! I showed them where the joystick was, they pulled it out and connected it to the arm, put the battery in the bag, plugged it in, zipped up the bag and I pressed the green button and Voila! it was done! Thank you to the Awesome Allegiant Crew!"

Cons: "We were delayed in Detroit due to deicing the plane. We landed in Houston late. They let us and a few other couples off the plane first so we could make our connection. We sprinted off the plane and arrived to the gate two minutes after they closed the door; plane was still there and they would not let us on. United knew we were coming and they closed the door anyway. The next flight out to Liberia, Costa Rica wasn’t for two more days. They ended up rebooking us on a flight to Panama which had a connection to San Jose, Costa Rica. Much farther of a drive from that airport. Very disappointed in how United handled this situation, we were told if it was a bigger group they would have held the plane for us. I will never fly United again but I know it has nothing to do with Kayak. Kayak has always been great and is my go to for booking plane tickets."

And it was like pulling teeth to get any information out of her. She did not even tell us we could board early to get situated on plane! I also called earlier that morning and spoke with a man on he phone at united who told me he put us all in the same row. That was a lie bc when we checked in at the gate to get our seats the lady said no one was sitting next to each other! That lady was rude and short tempered! Awful experience will never fly again!!"

I was put on a standby list for a flight leaving later that night and I didn't get it. I was told I had to wait until 7am the next morning to get on a flight. After asking, I was given a hotel, cab, and 2 food vouchers. The taxi took me to the hotel united chose. I got there and there were no vacancies. I had to pay for my own taxi to a different hotel that luckily took my voucher for the other hotel. after all this mess I only got 2 hours sleep. The 7am flight waited for its connecting flights. This delay cost me a third of my trip and money on my first night at my hotel."

But it doesn’t stop there. Next they won’t serve you anything to drink or snack on unless you pay for it. On a 4 hour flight (that was delayed by almost an hour btw) no snacks. No drinks. It’s totally ridiculous. And for the plane to be as janky and low rent as it is they should really take a second look at what they’re charging."

It is clear on the website that carry-on and checked bags are added fees. Even with added fees for a carry-on/overhead bag this price was $200 less than the closest competitor. Ticket was purchased the day before the flight. Nice that Frontier is also in the TSA PRE-CHECK program for screening at the airport. That was a time saver for sure."

On my way there I had to pay $16 for my seat, and that was the cheapest option, then $30 for my carry-on. then on my return $27 for my seat, and $30 for my carry-on. So basically I paid the same amount I would have if I just bought the southwest ticket instead. They charge for everything, water, soda, food. They charge for your seat, any seat, even the crappy ones. by the way, only the first few rows are laid out like regular coach, with full trays and leaning seats. The rest of the seats are so close together that you can't lean back at all, and the tray is a "flap" where all you can fit is a drink, if you're lucky."
