But, when we landed, as passengers were trying to get off of the plane, the attendants were putting all of the collected luggage at the entry to the jetway. It created congestion. Then, anyone who had luggage, had to lineup against the side of the jetway, awaiting their luggage, and increasing the congestion. First, it was inconvenient. Worse, if there was any kind of emergency, I believe it would have created a unsafe environment. Very Poor Design & Process ! ! !"

Yes, I understand that for a cheap ticket it would be expected but my ticket was not that cheap. The rude man that checked my baggage at the door in Detroit, after MCO allowed us to take our carry-on, spoke to me very condescending. Stating that "we in Detroit take baggage seriously" and even further taunt us that he would happily wave a booking fee and put us on a flight the next day when we get the baggage money. He spoke loudly in front of other passengers. It was an awful experience for my first time traveling with spirit. I traveled a lot and was never treated so rudely or without compassion as it was 4 people traveling together including a small child."

Also when looking for a phone umber on the web site and you hit contact us it sends you to the help and doesn't not show a phone number to talk to a person. The flight was good. I don't think that you should have to pay extra to make sure you are next to your family when traveling"

I was surprised that when I went to print my boarding pass three days later I was forced to pay for a seat, cause that's not covered by the ticket, I had to pay for a carry on that is not covered and had to pay for water if I wanted it. Ticket was supposed to be $85, seat cost was $45 each way so $90, carry on was $45 per flight so another $90. Actual price was $265 plus tax which is not even close to the advertised price, there was no water on the plan unless you payed and no entertainment. The seats were cramped. I could have flown American Airlines for a few more dollars and been comfortable and flew into a closer airport."
Pros: "I liked that Spirit was straightforward and forthright about their fees and cost to travel. The crew was very nice, and all of the counter staff were exceedingly helpful. Basically, Spirit is perfectly fine if your doing short hop flights and traveling lightly. If you have to check one or more bags or are traveling anything other than lightly, I would suggest looking hard at any other airline."
Cons: "I didn't like though, that even carry-ons come with a hefty fee, and that it costs more if you have to add the carry on at the airport. I had to convert my bag from checked to carry-on because the zipper was malfunctioning, and that was an simple counter procedure, but I wasn't happy that I was charged the checked-at-the-boarding-counter rate despite convertly à bag I had bought in advance. Also, Spirit has the crew try to sell you a miles credit card in flight which really seems out of place to me in air. Lastly, I find it extremely annoying that check-in yields boarding passes that must be printed and cannot be on your phone, and cost more to get at the airport. Also seats are narrow and your elbows will Rub up against your neighbor."

Seems like your one free carry on item can be standard sized, I didn't notice GA/FAs challenging anyone's bag(s) and there's no way that everyone who used the overheads paid to do so. Departure was delayed due to destination weather, but still arrived on time. If you can live with their business model, it's a way to save money and possibly travel more frequently then you thought you could afford."

Where is you compassion for a 73 year old man and his son? I just wish I was able to be there...they would have made that flight. Will be looking at alternatives from now on. Once aboard the aircraft, the flight crew were loudly carrying on for the entire flight giving little regard for those around them especially since one flight was a redeye flight. I will not be flying this airline again."

My husband and I spend half of our trip on the computer or the phone trying to prepay for bags or check in and both customer service and online seemed like some scam to get us to pay more at the airport. We would be prompted by a message online to call customer service and when we did they could not help us. I will tell everyone I know in my industry never to travel on Spirit. Saving money was not worth the time and frustration we had to put up with."

Cons: "Crew didn't inspire confidence. Sign on outside of plane visible when boarding about having the youngest crew in the industry--I'd prefer an experienced crew, not a young one. Dog on the flight, won't frequent airlines that allow this. Flight attendants didn't check seatbelts or luggage compartments. Flight attendants chatting to each other rather than greeting customers like it was a job at the mall. NO BAG DROP OFF LINE. Although I paid SO MUCH for baggage and opted to get a mobile boarding pass (which they wouldn't have accepted... in 2016), I had to wait on line with people who hadn't yet printed their boarding passes (and COULDN"T because the machines were down). If I hadn't gotten to the airport earlier than I needed to, I might've missed my flight on a day when air traffic was already backed up."

Cons: "Seats were dirty, filthy tray tables. My bag cost more then my tickets. You get what you pay for."

Cons: "Why charge extra fees for everything? People generally take belongings when they fly. There were empty seats in the flight yet customers were crammed together in other areas of the flight. Flight attendants NEVER smiled."

Cons: "Two hours before my Friday flight for the 4th weekend, Spirit cancelled the flight. I called to at least try and get another flight. They told me Sunday night was the next time the could get me another flight... What's the point of a weekend trip? I would say I'm surprised, but that's just typical Spirit."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled one hour before boarding and the re booking agents would not assist me to place me on a flight anywhere. They were rude and did not refund me any additional money to cover my travel expenses to and from the airport which was 60 since I live an hour away. They yelled at me when I asked for places to go and did not cooperate at all with me. I missed a family reunion this weekend as a result"
Cons: "Got canceled. Never would fly with spirit. It was the first time I got a ticket from spirit and it was a critical time and I had planned from a month ago for thos trip. But the irrisponsible airline just tols us it's canceled 1 hour before the flight. We only received a refund nothing else! Should we thank them?!?!?! Aweful!"
