Went I check my luggage in HNL they tell me will go all the way to JFK airport , went I was in San Francisco they call me to pick up luggage because they don’t sent to New York. Went we arrive to San Francisco airport they delay fly for 3 hrs I have a hotel in NY to sleep for 5 hrs before I pick up rental car and start to drive to my next trip . I lost my hotel reservation, again only one time they offer drinks and food was not good in airplane .
Pros: Everything was great! This was my first time flying Alaska Air and I could not have had a better trip! Everything ran according to schedule, I was comfortable during the flight, slept the entire time, staff was great!
Cons: The woman making announcements did not specifically announce the duration of the flight as we were departing. I was able to figure it out on the map option on the screen, but I would've liked to hear it verbally. Only suggestion I would have is an announcement on the plane for which baggage claim belt our luggage would come out of. I may not have heard it though, if there was an announcement. It was not difficult at all to figure out once I was in the baggage claim area, however if this was known while we were still on the flight, I prefer to know this info!

Cons: The turbo prop plane was slow and shaky on landing. From now on I’m going to try to avoid turbo prop planes. nothing against the crew or anything, they were great. I just feel better on bigger aircraft. Also no WiFi or USB ports.

A stewardess made an announcement requesting everyone without a connecting flight remain seated until those of us with tight schedules got off. Most everyone was courteous and waited. Thus we, and many others, were able to make our connecting flight. We really appreciated the assistance.

Low and behold, security said my barcode was not valid and had to run back and forth to get a new one printed. What made it worse was the check in clerk wanted to argue her point and there was only one flight attendant available and boarding closed 12min prior to departure, I was standing and waiving through the gates window trying to get all the flight attendants attention. I could have made it but missed my flight. Horrible experience!

Pros: Alaska is one of the best airlines to fly these days, and I've flown most. I have my mileage program on another airlines but I'd switch to them all the time if I could.
Pros: Terrible that I had to carry my carry on down the stairs to plane, lucky it wasn't raining, & then up a flight of stairs to plane with a torn rotator cuff. I felt like I was flying in the 70's. Coming back, a bald headed attendant was very rude. I did not get any refreshments on the way to Portland which they said was a rough ride but ride was smooth. That was ok, that didn't matter if our safety was involved. Also $25 for one bag is a lot to carry hair spray or a few things you can't carry on.

Pros: I booked my flight through Alaska airlines. On the flight to CA it was required my 5 year old sit on her booster seat which we loved. The stewardess on the way back (this flight) refused to let my daughter sit on it and tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about. I pulled up policy and it stated the child was in fact supposed to sit in her booster. The woman was rude and snotty about it. Lost my business just from her attitude.

Cons: Gate agents were rude. Everybody was forced to check-in their carry on luggage due to the small plane. This information should have been shared before boarding. We were informed as we were boarding and had to scramble to remove the laptop from our carry-on and help up passengers behind us from boarding. A totally unnecessary stressful situation created by the gate agents for failing to share information. Once we got onboard we saw carry-ons larger then what we were forced to check-in. Evidently, enforcement of standards is at the gate agents' discretion.

Pros: Flights to Reno tend to be empty if you fly in the right time of the week. I booked the cheapest ticket and ended up getting an exit row all to myself.
Cons: There is no seatback TV which is a major drawback. They do have a service that you can stream through your personal device but my power outlet didn’t work so my laptop died mid movie.

The amount of re direction to get to the final terminal was absurd .. that's just my venting My real problem is that then "crew" or team that represent s the American Airlines / compass part was just useless. A hand full of people - myself included didn't get a chance to board the plane as they didn't make any announcements. Beyond disappointing. When you check in they take your cell phone "in case " well no call no txt no nothing. It was a joke the level of service No apologies or anything just a group of any tired patrons getting the worst customer experience. Cons: Fight was operated by American. Alaska forced to wait in line and see assistance, then inform that because the flight is operated by American, they won't be able to check me in. Had to walk to a different terminal of LAX wait in 2 more lines and by the time they were able to assist it was too late to check in. Missed the flight, have to rebook a 3 hour later departure, move the meeting and take a flight back 4 hours later that has a layover and adds about 2.5 hours more on the return leg. Not to mention having to pay for the new seat.

Pros: Again, it seemed to me there was more legroom in first class than on similar Delta flights - meaning it was more comfortable. Also, there was a delay of a couple of hours leaving Dallas due to a problem with the plane's radio, and the American employees handled it very well, keeping the passengers informed and smoothly transferring everyone to a substitute plane.
