We flew Air Canada’s Economy Plus from Vancouver to Sydney and Air New Zealand’s Economy Plus from Auckland back to Vancouver. NZ’s Economy Plus product is far and above AC’s. Everything from the welcome, to the meal, to the level of service is great. I really felt that NZ treated the Econ Plus cabin as distinct from Economy (including having 2 dedicated washrooms), whereas on AC it felt like we were merely Economy with better seats. I compare NZ and AC because we were so genuinely impressed with what we purchased. We would definitely book NZ Econ Plus again, and the January seat sale is a great time to do so!
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. NZ gets this product right.
Awesome customer service, I was impressed.
Issue with baggage, i.e. no indication of what was included in the ticket and no way to pre-pay for luggage (at what I already considered an exorbitant rate of 60$ per piece) so ended up having to pay120$ each for 2 checked bags at the airport!
The boarding process was efficient and the seat was comfortable enough for coach class across the Pacific. It was a definite bonus not having someone in the middle seat. The food was quite good, and I appreciated the ability to get snacks throughout the flight. The crew was efficient, the IFE is very good, and the entire experience was very positive. I will continue to fly ANZ internationally as often as I can.
Air New Zealand needs to manage double door boarding a little differently - a ticket checker needs to be at the split point - to streams of passengers trying to find their seat in opposite directions just doesn't work.
MIGHT give me a refund, and not WILL give me a refund
Service personnel at Air Canada were very helpful and re-booked me several times and when none of those flights left, they said they would refer me to refund department.
I like that they are Canadian
I don't like how unhelpful they are, their food, their staff, the way they treat clients etc. Seriously my least favourite company to fly with. I'd rather pay extra and fly WestJet anyday!
Seats were uncomfortable and tight. Leg room is not existent.
Flight delay led us to miss our connecting flight. Air Canada then lost our luggage for 6 days on our honeymoon!
Online checkin failed, airport kiosk couldn't handle how names are written on Japanese passports (it's English) and had to wait 2 hours on the line to check in because they were down to 1 agent toward the end. Made it to the gate just as boarding started. Very limited entertainment options for modern day airlines. Uncomfortable seating.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
