We got to airport at 3:45 am- no one at the check in counter, employees finally arrived at 4 am, checked in, but then we don’t have seats asssigned! We get to the gate and wait-wait-wait until almost 5am and finally the employees were able to find someone willing to move so that myself and kids don’t get seats in emergency exit row. Nuts. Very unpleasant(not the employees, those were nice-it’s the check in and seat assignment policies)."

Incredibly long lines, disorganized (a sign clearly said, TSA Pre-check- line up here) and then the people managing the lines yelling at us (and this is an observation) because they wanted us lined up further back. This was baffling because the actual line into the TSA space was empty at that point. I think the ATL security staff could all benefit from some further training about to work with people effectively AND ATL airport needs to look at their systems. I know it's a busy airport, but there has to be something better than what they are doing now!"

Pros: "Half the passengers were sleeping in rows to themselves. I’m 6’5” with a bad back and was stuck in an aisle seat, unable to even rest much less sleep. I get that those seats were available for purchase, but after the doors close it seems ridiculous to not let a customer sit there, ESPECIALLY is taller folks!!!! One could make the argument that it’s less safe as well, seeing how there’s no one IN the exit row to help open the window in the event of an emergency. I like Jetblue but this policy is likely to keep me from flying them if I can fly for just a bit more $ and have comfort."

This was puzzling to me because I travel often and do not have a problem with that bag. As I was sitting on the plane I saw everyone's bag's were bigger especially the man next to me. His was significantly larger and he had a large duffle bag between his legs causing him to manspread into my area. and yet i was told "make sure your purse is under the seat" seriously?! What about his giant duffle bag and huge carry on roller?!"

Cons: "Upon boarding an odor of vomit was obvious. An attendant announced that a previous passenger had been sick in the row and there was no time to adequately clean it. There was only one food option available for purchase. Neither the overhead reading light or entertainment system at my seat worked. The first attendant I approached told me she could find me a seat in the back of the plane. I declined as I reserved a seat in the front of the plane in order to deplane and go through customs swiftly. I was then offered a seat directly behind the row where the passenger had vomited. Eventually, a different attendant placed me in a seat nearer the front of the place where both the light and entertainment system worked."

Instead of having us come to the front of the plane to exit first we had to ask the rest of the passengers if they didn’t mind letting us through to catch our flight. I have severe psoriatic arthritis and I had to sprint to my next gate that had been changed making it much farther away from our arrival gate. Now I get to spend my vacation in pain trying to recover."

Cons: "What I didn’t like was how my flight got cancelled and the only flight I was able to get was 4 days later. So I was stuck in the Dominican Republic for a total of two weeks!! I had to miss another weekend at work which made me lose a lot of money since I’m a barber and lost some one my clientele. On top of my flight being cancelled it also got delayed again but only by 30 minutes so I wasn’t so upset. When it came to the boarding, that had to be the slowest boarding I’ve went through. The gate seemed very behind on the technology and that caused the workers to work even slower. At times they had to step away and go on their monitor to fix something out so it took an extra 30 minutes before I even got into my seat, and I was sitting in row 6 of the plane. Then after everyone was seated the flight got held back an extra half hour because a lady wanted to file a complaint saying that she got pushed and ended up being the only person that got kicked off the flight so she did it all for nothing. So with everything happening, our flight got delayed an hour and a half. Very disappointed.."

Cons: "There were only two flights, one to my and one to Boston. My bag went to the wrong place and the way they handled it was disgusting. Making us run around the airport with no answers and nobody wanting to check the conveyer belt. Then they said if they found it they would let me know. They found the bag and they said by 6:30. Well, 6:30 passed and they had my bag but they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered and they use a third party company who they didn't have a contact number for or any answer as to when it would be delivered (I needed several things for work so it was a rush). Lastly, the lady I spoke to on the phone said it was my fault that I would not be there to receive the bag the following day as they did what they are supposed to. I was really surprised with how bad this customer service was as a whole. No communication and just nasty."

Cons: "The airplane cabin had a strong urine odor that endured throughout the red-eye flight, the air temperature had to have been at least 75 degrees, probably 80 which was a bit stifling. No usb/power at the seat which would be preferable/should be standard by now for a coast-to-coast flight. Seat didn’t recline which isn’t the end of the world but a bit of a bummer. My headphones didn’t work with the little screen at my seat but it’s ok because based on my neighbor’s screen it was just a rotating lineup of Jet Blue commercials/fake tv shows that I can easily pass on."

Cons: "The flight was delayed by 1hour and 40 min. One hour at the boarding gate and 40min on the airstrip. Pilot said we were overweight. When we landed at 730 vs 557 we still had a delay because our gate was occupied causing a greater dalay. Due ro this delay I was late to work. The flight attendee making the announcements might have been new because she kept messing up what she was saying and shouting and mumbling through the speaker. I usually have amazing flights with jetblue but I'm highly disappointed with this flight."

Cons: "When I received my luggage it was so damaged that someone used clear tape to keep it closed. There was no note inside the luggage to state if it was tsa who went through the bag so I went to customer service to inquire about it. The representative from New York airport stated that I over packed my bag that's why it was damaged. I can assure you that my bag was under weight and there was no problem when i last closed it. So to be clear both zippers on my luggage was completely destroyed and taped up like a ragged cloth. I was embarrassed to walk around with my bag and the only recompensation I received was a $40 credit to my next flight."

I saw people being allowed to board with way more bags than you said were permitted and some of the on plane bags were so huge that the front people had to check their bags at the last minute. Boarding was slow as it was clear that the stuff was not fitting in the overhead compartments. What happened to dimensions of bag restrictions? It is frustrating to the people that abide by the rules to see them so flagrantly ignored."

I couldn't complete my web checkin at the AliItalia web site. Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."

Cons: "The security process in the Prague airport is so ridiculous. There are security agents who screen you in the baggage drop off line that makes the line take a very long time. Once you finally get your sticker from them it’s a quick trip through customs. Then the pain really begins with a security scan st each individual gate to enter a boarding area for the plane. Then I was pulled for extra security where a male agent touched my but with some sort of swab with no warning. He then claimed to not speak English (with zero accent when I asked him a question). It was a humiliating and very long process all run by delta!"

I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF"

This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

Pros: "Boarding in St Thomas is always a mess, no matter what airline you fly. I usually fly Delta because the planes are clean and the people are nice. Well this time the staff went well above and beyond. My friend and I were sitting in the front row of seats in the lounge at the airport, facing the Delta gates. There was a mob of people milling about between us and the gate, so we could not see very well, but we thought we had a clear view of the door. Also it was very loud in the terminal. The flight had a delay, so we were relaxing and chatting, when I got a text from my mom asking if I was on the plane. So I went to the counter to inquire if they had started boarding our flight. The lady looked at me with surprise and said, "We have been paging you!!". Well we were both surprised! We had not heard anything over the general din in the airport. It turns out they had completed boarding and already rolled the stairs away from the plane! The ground staff talked to the captain and then they rolled up a set of stairs, opened the door to the plane, and let us on! The flight attendants said that they had never seen that happen before. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the crew at Delta for going the extra mile to make sure we made it on our flight."

I've had to purchase a new set of luggage AND will have to pay for them on my next 2 legs on Delta. I apologise for seeming so harsh as I know you've had so much trouble because of the tornadoes, but this leg of my trip cost me an additional $800.00 plus AUD and I was here in the US to care for my father who recently had a 2nd heart attack and my final days in USA were meant to be a holiday, and all I can say is the stress because these expenses have removed any enjoyment (I know I'm looking at this half empty, not half full). Cons: "While my experience with Virgin Australia was good, I will not book with them due to the co-share with Delta Airlines. I missed my connecting flight from LAX to JFK due to additional security screening. As such I was advised to head to the Delta terminal to be booked onto the next available flight to NYC. After waiting over an hour in line to be seen by a staff member, I was told that they couldn't change my ticket as it was a Virgin flight. The same staff member didn't seem to even understand the concept of 'co-share', and also told me that because I booked through Kayak and not Delta that they could not help me. This makes me think that booking through a third party is a risky move. I was told there was absolutely nothing she could do, and that I would have go to a Virgin Australia Counter. This involved taking all of my luggage from Terminal 5 - all the way to Terminal 3. I was assisted by Virgin Australia, where they apologized for my experience, and confirmed that it was Delta's responsibility (and that they were capable) of rebooking my flight. Virgin booked me onto a later flight, but I still had to walk back to Terminal 5 (Delta) to give them my checked luggage. I was once again told that I didn't have the right ticket (details listed Virgin and Delta flight number - so this was way too confusing for them). Finally they printed my a boarding card and took my bags. I then ran through security and to gate in time for my flight. Flight was fully booked, due to a many people no doubt experiencing the same thing. Food was awful. Was a big step down from the Virgin flight in every aspect. There was not a single Delta Staff member who would even try to understand or be helpful. I will never fly with Delta again."

The whole thing essentially took one full night of paid hotel and fun in Vegas away costing us over $200 just in hotel plus we spent an extra 5 hours in an airport that didn't have a bar open past 9pm."

Cons: "Flight 103 was supposed to be at 1:30. Delayed at 10 or 11 am to 3:08. A little in the day to have a major delay putting us into Vegas right at rush hour with higher taxi pricing and headache. Once we were at the airport the delays continued. We didn't finish boarding the plane until after 330. And then had to sit on the tarmac while they tried to squeeze us in. Then landing you could tell we were circling airport while they tried to find a spot for us to land, either that or it was a bad route because it involved a lot of sharp turns. We landed almost two hours late, which for a 48 hour Vegas trip is harsh. All we got in return was an apology. Usually other airlines will at least give you the full can of pop or something minor to off set the bigger inconvience."

The head of the guy sitting in front of me was almost in my lap. I couldn't even lower my tray table all the way down to a flat position to set my beverage upon because his seat was so close to mine. When the flight was almost to its destination, we had to circle the airport for awhile because Obama was landing at this time too. We were never told of this possibility until it actually happened. Why not ? We arrived about an hour and a half later than our scheduled time. With all these inconveniences to us, absolutely nothing complimentary was given to us passengers to make up for their incompetence and how our travel plans may have been disrupted. This was a bad experience and my last with Sun Country."

Cons: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."

Service sucks, except 1 nice fellow, who apologized. 6 bottles for 36 passengers. 1 crew had cold towel around his neck sitting, 1 doing crossword so we had to help ourselves. 1 crew saw something in the plane & screamed so hard woke up a sleeping pilot. 1 crew slept for 2 hrs and 1 watch TV for 1 hrs. NEVER VERY, IF I CAN AVOID IT, WILL I TRAVEL WITH AA. They own a lot of us more than an apology."

Had it been busy, it would have been different in that seats were not very wide, aisles very small, if the seat in front reclines and you don't, you can't see your screen and not a lot of space in general."

Passengers would have been much happier to hear the truth of a 2h delay so that we could get food/drink. Instead we had 2h worth of promises that the plane was leaving in 10 mins. No effort was made at being nice--no free snacks or whatever would be nice to make people feel cared for. But what's worse was the flight attendants. I don't even feel like getting into it--just suffice to say these are people who should not be working in the service industry. I saw them being rude to a number of people and it made an already bad experience (with the 2h delay) that much worse. It's not that hard to be polite to people. AA should do more to hire caring, kind staff who create happy vibes even through stressful times."

Cons: "Food - Served the "breakfast" (when it was called a protein plate) I had coming (into MSP). for "lunch" on the way back (called it a meat plate for lunch. One slice turkey, one slice jamon, one egg, cinnamon roll and fruit. Just because they don't want to serve bread - they call it a protein plate? I'm not on a protein diet. Food was pretty sick for the amount I paid for the fight. Stewardess said it was against Republic's rules to give a customer a can of tonic water (so I could add to the small amount of vodka) - she also told me that it was against Delta's, American's and United's rules to give a can - strange? First Class seat did not recline. First Class was freezing per every flight on this segment (the stewardesses sit in the back and don't want to be uncomfortable - if they make the front warm - the back is too hot for them (not joking on this one). So many things to list - that I will finish on the AA site."
Pros: "I had to buy new clothes after lost bag and since bag had been lost twice during my trip, I was reluctant to check the bag. It was of size to cram into my carry on so I did that, but American staff demonstrated concern, had a sense of humor and helped me get a comfortable seat to sort of take some of the sting away. All that was great of them I was aware of being in an upgraded seat. No complaints, but it stung a little because I was deeply aware of the reinforcement of class. The small, extra comforts were wonderful and I wish everyone had them while risking their lives together over the ocean - especially the extra room At times, on the way over I felt a claustrophobic panic. But to stay positive, they were kiind, sympathetic, funny, sweet. I appreciate them."

And AA said they would get my bag off but they did not and now I have to wait at JFK and hope it got rerouted here. And if it didn’t to hope it can on another flight before I hopefully actually get on a flight for Rio. Nobody has comped me for losing a day in Rio and for my hotel room. And this has been the worst flight exeperience or my life which unfortunately landed on my birthday. One I’ll remember in a sad and bad way. American Airlines refused to compensate me because I got my tickets via Kayak and I haven’t been able to find a number to complain to a Kayak agent whom I sure would say I had to contact American Airlines and nobody would help or take responsilvitu for this disaster."

Whilst I didn't like needing to hand in my carry on (without much warning so I didn't have time to pull out a magazine to read) on the plus side it was stored well as my suit carrier came out unscathed and you get your bags curb side as soon as the plane lands so you don't have to wait for the rest of the bags to unload."

It had to be cleaned and prepared for our flight, which then took off over 1 1/2 hours late. American Airlines stated that the plane was late due to air traffic control issues, but in reality the plane hadn't even arrived yet. I felt like I was lied to! Shame on American Airlines! He was very rude, didn't help at lot guiding me where I can find it, but instead he said " You have to call back when you find it" I asked him that I couldn't find it and he almost yelled at me saying DID YOU GOT a RESERVATION OR NOT?. I never found the numeric code he asked for. So I called again and fortunately somebody else answer my call and she was a litTle more helpful and didn't made me waste my time with a numeric code. She asked me for the Trip ID # and I found it right away. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I LOST 700 DOLLARS. I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER PLAIN TICKET!!!!!"

The first time (April) the crew was late which made me late to my connecting flight in which there were no more flights to my destination for the rest of the day (Jamaica) had to spend the night in Miami and miss a very important meeting. The second flight from Miami to NY 8/22 was delayed twice in which Im still not sure why but i had to deal with other angry passengers and they're rudeness which made my experience bad. I want American Airlines to be great. I just want to fly with them without a problem for once. JetBlue always gets it right"

Pros: "I’m handicapped and requested wheelchair assistance when I booked flight. Not once was it ready I had to ask for it at every leg of trip, going and returning. Took morning flight home to connection and when landed was told that flight was cancelled and rebooked my on another flight which was fine but didn’t have the seat available that was originally designated and the woman at customer service didn’t care. New flight delayed 3 times and I ended up being in Newark for 9 hours and got a total of $30 in vouchers, had anyone that gives these vouchers out bought anything in an airport before? And the $30 I did get I had to beg for as well. No more united for me thanks."

Cons: "The plane was terrible. The seats are so close together that you cannot move. The aisle is so narrow that one person can barely down it. Forget it if you have to pass by someone. The bathroom too is so small that you cannot move in it. It’s so uncomfortable. The new boarding process is just dumb. And to make matters worse they don’t even bother to check the boarding groups when you board. I had a person in a later boarding group in front of me and they let her on anyway — so what’s the point of having boarding groups. They should just go back to boarding from the rear of the plane first - that is the most efficient and quick way to do it. The so called entertainment is a joke. There is a very small choice of movies/TV shows to watch and that’s it. The free wi-fi gets you nowhere."

Cons: "On checking in we had to use a machine to print our boarding passes and take our bags to a bag drop in Newark. The man proceeded to put a large tray on the conveyor belt, swing our bags in the air then smash them down into the tray. This was done to both bags as if we weren't there. Had there been something expensive in there it would have been totally destroyed. He really couldn't have cared less about our bags and their contents. We were talking to a woman on the plane who was telling us that a woman a few rows behind who had a new born baby as was told she would be given a seat with extra legroom had this taken away from her to United could sell the seat to someone paying for it. The chicken and orzo dinner was absolutely revolting. The orzo was so over cooked that it just turned to mush and the chicken really didn't taste like it had ever seen a chicken. All this combined with the issues we had on our flight out show that United are scum and just see you as ££. Sorry I cant be more complementary than that, its just the truth."

Cons: "Connecting flight was cancelled so we automatically got out on the next flight. Our stop over went from 2h to over 7h. Staff at checkin were very unhelpful. They told us to go to the website to request a refund and wouldn't offer us any flight upgrades. We got on the flight and people were told not to sit in the unoccupied enconomy plus seats unless they paid for them. Pretty poor that considering there were at least 2 rows of seats available they are so tight they can't even be bothered to compensate us in a way that won't effect their bottom line. We completed the return request only to be told that refunds are not offered on schedule changes. Again pretty shoddy customer service and shows that all they are about is your money. The breakfast we had was disgusting. The melted cheese looked like someone had vomited onto my tray. On waiting for our connecting flight there was an old lady who was dumped at a gate on a wheel chair. They person then left without telling them what was happening. We could see she was anxious about not knowing what was happening. My wife went to the United help desk to ask for information for the lady's flight and was told she should just check the information board and dismissed. Not sure how an old lady who can't walk is meant to do this (this was explained to them). If United had bothered to make some kind of effort to be at least helpful in any stage with refunding / upgrading us and being helpful to an old lady maybe this review would be different. Ultimately all they care about is your money and will deliver a shockingly bad customer service wherever they can get away with it. I WONT be flying United again. I will pay more for another airline."

Cons: "United. September 14 Newark to Delhi Premium Economy Entertainment screen didn't work for 1st hour of the flight. the movie list was mediocre at best. The screen was smeared with some substance. The list of movies on the United entertainment app is great (via internet) but connectivity on this type of flight is spotty so the traveler is forced back to the antique screen plane system. Dinner. Butter chicken or vegetable options. Food was bland and very small portions for the length of flight. The snack was delivered immediately after dinner was picked up. I did not open it. Looked like a hard roll with something on it. Style of service is abrupt, bordering on rude. Uses terminology that non-US travelers from different cultures would not understand, for instance do you want "white" coffee. Asked me if I had someone at home to pick up after me as she felt she was cleaning too much off the floor. Her comments appeared to be directed at me but it was not my trash (and even if it was, a better approach would be recommended). The flight attendant realized she had gone too far and apologized. Then complained about this "route" being difficult, with no one listening. She concluded by wishing me a good flight and saying that she hoped that she had not offended me. I assured her that she had. Breakfast was mediocre. Egg with soggy potatoes and an inedible sausage. Did not see what they were offering in the veggie dish. Staff seems tired and not culturally sensitive. There needs to be some retraining and consideration given to long haul menus and entertainment. I take this flight at least once a year. It continues to deteriorate."

There's suppose to be an option with mobile devices but when you make the ticket purchase it only says that entertainment is included in longflights and it is not. I paid for the entertrainment system but you have only some options and the movies start according to their own schedule so you can't really pick what you want to watch. And the directv remotes are not set in a good place, the are in the arm rest, so everytime the person next to you moves the wrong way they change your channel or turn the volume down or something else. For such an expensive and long flight the tiny space between chairs and entertainment lack is unacceptable."
Pros: "United now has small mattresses to put on your lay flat bed in business class. Very comfortable! For once they had my first choice for lunch and it was delicious."
Cons: "The seats are lay flat beds. However they are very narrow especially where the feet are resting. If you are over 5ft10 it's too short a bed. You feel that your feet are pressed together when you sleep. Also no seat level storage space. Seats are narrow and are almost impossible to sleep in resting on your side. Would suggest united try out the Emirates airline business class seats on the A380. The British Airways business class seats and New Zealand business class lay flat seats are also much nicer."
Pros: "Nothing to like. 6:00pm flight delayed and kept rescheduling takeoff. Boarded plane about midnight and after ninety plus minutes we were made to deplane because current crew was over their allotted airtime. Kept on plane awaiting a new crew but they couldn't get them so flight cancelled. Attendants told us we would be compensated for cancellation. A big airline like united should have a better grasp on scheduling flight crews and stand bys available instead of putting us through this hell. No hotels available so we all had to stay overnight in uncomfortable chairs with many sleeping on floors. I felt bad for myself as a 69 ur old woman with some health issues but felt even worse for the parents flying with little toddlers who just wanted to go home. The day of my flight Denver had 8" of snow that stopped by 9am yet I couldn't get a flight out till the following evening. Psp to Denver to Newark should have taken six hours but took me over 38 hrs of travel time. Denver should be used to snow and 8" shouldn't cause such extreme disruption at that airport. And united needs to better coordinate its flight schedules and working crews. I will be contacting customer service regarding compensation as cancelled flight was due to company musmagent. Finally it would have been nice if united opened its club to the travelers who couldn't get hotels. Sitting in a comfortable place would have been so much better especially to the elderly and small children traveling. Thank you"

You should at least be allowed a voucher for the amount of the ticket at a later date. Even if it's a percentage off, you should be allowed something. How is it that you can buy a car worth thousands, and be allowed to return it under the Lemon Law. When a company called can make billions of dollars doing this, it's just taking advantage of the little people."
Cons: "Unable to pre-check online. Unable to check at the check in machines--had to go up and check in at the counter, long wait because there was only one clerk. We were then given a ticket just to get through security and had to check in a second time when we get to the gate for seat assignment, which is ridiculous. Why couldn't that be done at the 1st check-in? The clerk told me she will call me when she has the seat assignment/ boarding ticket but she never did and I had to go back up to ask for them when it was getting close to boarding time. At the last moment minutes, volunteers could check in their carry on for free....It would have been nice (and less hassle) to have that option at the 1st check-in."
Cons: "First when seated there was no room for even my purse in the overhead storage. I had to hold everything in my lap. My ticket seats were separated when I was sure I booked the seats together. The blanket given to my seat was in package but was used and very vile smelling. The flight attendant was very rude, had an attitude when I asked for a drink after I wasn't offered one. When landing and I was asleep, flight attendant hit my head to wake me up to adjust my seat to the correct position rather then in a polite way. Also luggage was not with the rest of the planes luggage and on a differnt carousel. I travel often and are use to glitches, but when cleanliness and attitude come into the picture those are things that can be controlled. I wish to no longer travel with United again."

I am a 6'2", fit man and I'm not able to get a coach seat with leg room without paying an additional premium...in BOTH directions of my flight. This is after paying to check my FIRST bag...but before paying for any food or entertaiment i want to consume during the 3:45+ flight. Yes, charge for WI-FI; charge for alcoholic beverages, charge for OVERWEIGHT baggage. Charging for food and other items which were complementary 10 to 15 years ago is insulting."

Cons: "I was traveling for the first time in crutches. As soon as I approached the check-in counter, the lady at the counter asked me rudely "Are you checking in any luggage?". I first told her that I requested assistance getting to the gate and asked if it would be by a wheelchair or a cart. She didn't answer the question, and repeated the same question. Since I had one carry-on size bag, I asked if I need to check it in, or if I can bring it with me when they help me get to the gate. To which she replied in a very irritated tone, "I'm asking you if you need to check it in! Can you bring the bag on-board and put it away in the overhead bin YOURSELF WITHOUT ANY HELP?", hinting that no one will provide any help... At this point, I went ahead and checked in my bag. Thank God the wheelchair service is provided by a separate vendor, because he was wonderful and helpful. While we waited to board, the flight was delayed a few times. I could not hear the announcement from where I was sitting, but I noticed people started to make a line by the central info counter. 4:42pm, I received the cancellation notice via email. Because of my injury, I was unable to wait in line for long, so I chose to sit and wait next to the counter, until the line got shorter. 1 hour later, the line was growing even longer. 6pm, I re-booked a new flight for the next day via iPhone app, however, it was still showing the old boarding pass that I was automatically re-booked for. I still had to talk to someone from United to confirm, also to ask for wheelchair to get back to the main building, so I continued to wait. At one point, one of the United employees moved to the side counter to make a call re: another flight that arrived. I went and stood right in front of her and said "Excuse me, I have a quick question about wheelchair service". She looked at me right in my eyes, but she started talking to the other person on the phone. After she hung up, she ignored me and went back to the center counter, leaving me confused as to what just happened... At this point, I did not even want to make another attempt to ask for help. 7:20pm, the line went down to 3 people; a gentleman with a bad knee, another gentleman with a bad leg and myself on crutches... Am I the only one to think there is something wrong with this picture? 7:40pm, I was finally on the way back to the main building with a wheelchair service, which by the way is run by a group of amazing people. I am not complaining about the delays and cancellations. I understand it happens. I am not expecting that someone like me with temporary disability automatically receives first place in line. I do, however, wish United was more aware of some people who are in need of assistance, while being fair to other passengers. I cannot imagine how difficult it is for people with disabilities to travel with United Airlines."

Cons: "I checked in for both my flights before departing on my red eye. When I landed in Newark I found out I had been bumped from my connection to Portland because United had oversold my flight. The next confirmed flight they could put me on to Portland was the next morning, 24 hours later! I ended up flying to Boston and taking a bus up to Portland, arriving seven hours after I was supposed to, exhausted. United customer service was indifferent and unhelpful. I will never fly United again, no matter the cost difference."
Cons: "The flight was delayed multiple times causing me to have to literally run across airport to catch international connecting flight. Gate crew did very little to assist me in securing an alternate flight. On board crew did little to assist me in finding out information and getting me off the plane quickly to get to my connecting flight. Overall they showed little empathy and customer service."
