The kiosks would not print baggage tags, there was no one to drop your bags with. We waited 2 1/2 hours, having to sit on the floor because there are no chairs in the terminal. When we finally got on the plane I witnessed the miss handling of pets being loaded by the baggage handlers. They had 3 pet carriers on the cart. Two were set apart on the bottom with the third tipped diagonally in the the space between on top of the other 2. Then the picked up and plunked down on the belt. That animal would have had no water for the 5.5 hour flight as the dishes in the carrier were spilled over."

Also when I checked my bags after being told I had to call the 1800# instead of use the customer service desk I was told that I had to pay for my pack n play. When it was not charged on the way up."

The descent to landing was to fast when near the runway, and we crashed hard like a carrier landing. I would inspect the gear and wing spats for cracks. The fuselage bowed like a banana, it was evident looking down the tube sitting the back. How about a breathalyzer or something, everybody knows the drunken pilots, the can't be fired and they know it, so it takes years to sober them up at our expense. The pilots who've been caught drinking are not trying to get better, they just whine that the others who haven't been caught yet are even worse drunks. Everybody who flys on Alaska has heard it from the same old Alaska born drunken pilots. How about less drunken bush piloting and get your drunken pilots who've been busted in the last few years to shut up and stop telling everyone that all Alaska pilots are drunks as defense of there drunkeness."
Cons: "They kept canceling flights even though other flights were going out of Seattle and landing in Bozeman. But the gate agents were promising that the next flight wasn't gong to be cancelled and that I was going to have a seat, so I didn't book another flight from Seattle to Bozeman on a different carrier. So I spend 3 full days waiting at the boarding gate with the gate agent saying boarding would begin in 30 minutes the whole time. Finally they just sent me back home to Oakland. I missed my last chance to see my grandfather alive. He just passed away. To add insult to injury, they they wouldn't refund the ticket because I "used" the ticket for a lovely vacation to the Seattle airport for 3 days."

Late gate change. Delta’s gate 37 is actually gate 24B- of course it is because it’s LAX. Delta staff acts as if 37=24B is the new math and we are stupid to not know this conversion. Delta staff acts surely and borderline hostel. Not sure if this is LAX or Delta’s culture. Either way, it stinks.

I do whatever I can to fly on Australian rather than American airlines, as they are always much better in every regard. But in this case it wasn't feasible, and I found myself on a Delta flight. I'd say the overall experience was somewhere between okay-good. Nothing major to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. The entertainment options were decent. I appreciated the variety of newly released movies. However, I would have liked a greater selection of TV shows, and the availability of more episodes. I also appreciated the availability of internet access, but I don't understand why it has to be quite *so* pricey. Surely they could make a bit more on greater volume if they dropped the price a bit. I didn't purchase access, but I would have if it were 40-50% cheaper. The comfort of the plane seemed the same as any of the alternatives. Boarding and deplaning were as they should be."
Cons: "The service from the crew though was simply ok. They were just friendly enough not to be rude, but no more than that. Virgin Australia and Qantas consistently have much happier crews, who make you feel like a dignified guest, even in economy. The food was average at best, and they served two meals where the Australian airlines would serve three on the same flight. They also offered less in the way of snacks and drink refills. It seemed like they were cutting corners here, which I don't appreciate on a 15 hour flight. Also, they said they "proudly serve Starbucks coffee". After drinking it, I don't think they should be proud of that! Again, overall it was a decent experience. Nothing flashy, but nothing too bad either. If the costs are comparable for your flight, you should certainly choose one of the Australian carriers. You'll get better service from the crew and better food. The one caveat, however, is that Delta has WiFi, whereas at the date of writing this, the Australian carriers do not. While access is exorbitant, if you really need to get some work done on the plane, you might choose Delta for this reason alone."

Then she made an announcement saying there was a delay due to an international flight that landed in Dallas. They needed to change the crew, clean up and do security check. This was an experience that I have never had to go through. This was inconvenient for not only myself but the people who were picking me up from the airport in Dallas. The seats are way too tight. No leg room nor room between the person next to you."

Cons: ""Lowest fairs!!" and then on check in they nickel and dime you with extra costs for even a carry on AND to choose a seat that you already bought!! I mean, you don't have to. You could always just wait until check in at the airport and get thrown into a middle seat. Saving extra money was what pushed me over the edge here, but after all the fees after booking was paid for and experience, I would have gladly paid the extra money to fly Alaska Airlines. Also, you would think on a 5.5 hr flight that occurs over/near dinner time there would be more food options than just snack packs. Even that was mediocre."

I didn't have any problems with the flight, and it was nice to be notified in advanced about the upcoming turbulence."

They are understaffed, and they don't have anyone in the secured area to even ask questions too, let along check in passengers that are transferring from other airlines. Also, there wasn't anything showing the passengers that the flight was delayed until 10 minutes before the flight was supposed to leave. I knew it was late, only after the agent from a different airline did many searches into my connecting flight, and I also asked my check-in agent at Sun Country, I had to ask! That information was not given willingly."

We booked through priceline.The flight hadn't even started boarding and we were not allowed to check-in. We were re-booked on a flight that left two hours later, but that flight was delayed 3 hours. The whole thing essentially took one full night of paid hotel and fun in Vegas away costing us over $200 just in hotel plus we spent an extra 5 hours in an airport that didn't have a bar open past 9pm."

He said, "they look like metal skeletons with pleather stretched over them." Yikes, I was a little embarrassed for telling him how comfortable he would be. I usually fly coach and I guess I was surprised not to find better seats and screens for movies attached to the back of the headrest (that sounds terribly spoiled, sorry)."

Pros: "Flew first class because it was a 6 hour flight. The flight attendants were not helpful and didn't pickup trash, empty cups etc from anyone in the first class cabin. Never made eye contact to see if anything else was needed. Disappointing service."

Pros: "The friendly staff of Sun Country brought me a wheelchair both in LAX and Minneapolis. These people were warm and friendly. It may be a normal part of their job but it felt like they were really invested in my well being. My flight with Delta earlier in the year did not at all meet these expectations."

Pros: "The crew was amazing. It would be nice to be informed that although beverage service is suspended, you can still request drinks that are available. I had to find this on the website and didn't get anything by a tiny water bottle for both of my 3+ hour flights."
Cons: "I understand main cabin isn't supposed to be as upscale as 1st class, but it would do well if the seats were a bit more comfortable and the headrest was softer, it feels like a lump or sack of potatoes. Very stiff and hard. Also, having enough arm room would be nice so you're not fighting the person next to you for space on the armrest."

Pros: "My flight was fine - I paid for a Premium Seat, which also allowed me a premium boarding position, which I highly recommend for anyone flying. The seat was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and I really liked the in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "At the DFW security post for my gate, there was NO TSA-pre. That service stops at 7pm. I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. Just getting to keep my shoes on, while having to drag all my electronics and liquids out, take my coat and belt off, etc. is not acceptable. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"

Cons: "Takeoff was delayed about 35 minutes just due to traffic on the runway. Out of all the flights on our international trip, the only issues we experienced were with American airports. You would think an issue like this would be readily solved by foreplanning, but instead we sat on the tarmac just waiting for our turn to take off. Some form of entertainment on the plane would've been nice. Or at least a place to charge electronics. Our bags arrived at our destination before we did, and although I immediately received a text alerting me to this fact, I was dismayed to find out they were in an entirely different terminal of the DFW airport. After 24 hours of travel and very little sleep, instead of just walking off the plane and retrieving our bags, our group of 20 weary souls had to first determine where our luggage was, catch a bus to a different terminal ( because of the size of our group we couldn't all fit on the first bus, so had to wait for the second bus), and then track down our bags. American Airlines did absolutely nothing to help make this experience any easier for us. Five of our party were in wheelchairs due to various levels of exhaustion or ailment, and all we were told is "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do." This little adventure delayed us about an hour."

Cons: "The crew was abrupt, harsh, spoke down to the passengers, sighed, rolled their eyes, etc. It's their job to serve drinks, and attend to passenger requests and needs. They made it seem like they were being put upon to get a glass of hot water or coffee. If someone asked what type of juice they had, they rolled their eyes and answered rudely. No one smiled and seemed friendly"

Pros: "Seats were uncomfortable and badly maintained. Seatback stowage netting was detached and useless. There was an equipment change (new larger aircraft) I had a B (aisle seat) on the original aircraft and on the new plane my "B" seat became a middle seat. This was completely unsatisfactory."

Cons: "LAX now buses people to the planes. We stood on the bus for 45 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes on an active taxi way. The crew for united just does not seem motivated anymore on any flight. Even in first class we were offered water only 2 on a 5 hour flight. The crew just sat in the front and looked at their phones. The food made me sick for two days - so it is better to just not eat it and bring your own. It is sad as I united used to be a great airline and now they just seem to focus on what new fee they can charge."

Cons: "Well, I did not like that I had booked Lufthansa, an airline I like to fly, but it was really a United flight. The Lufthansa booking included the first checked bag as free. This information did not reach United and I was faced with a £45 fee for the bag! Not a pleasant surprise and I would like the money back. I would also like to make sure that the return trip does not cost me another £45!"

Tonight though our attendant made us all feel like we were in 1st class. Cons: "We booked our flights round trip on united.com, but when we arrived at the airport for our return flight from Budapest to D.C., we were told we were on standby and might not be given seats (despite paying full price for the fare months ago). Brussels Airlines, the codeshare partner, blamed United. United blamed Brussels airlines. We are the flight, but my wife and I were seated separately. When I noticed several seats empty after the plane had finished boarding and asked the head flight attendant if my wife and I might not together, she refused, saying they weren't going to give us a free upgrade. When we went to drop off our bags for the next leg of the flight, from Brussels to Dulles, the bag check counters we're severely understaffed and we waited almost an hour just to drop off two suitcases. This made us nearly miss our flight and required us to sprint through the airport and beg to cut the security line. After boarding, my entertainment screen stopped working, though they did manage to fix it a couple of hours into the flight. Needless to say, this was less then a stellar experience."

This is my last of 10 years at 1K with United. Moving airlines this year."

Pros: "United delivered us to Anchorage so late that we missed the very last flight out of Anchorage to Homer. We had to pay for a hotel room and full price tickets to fly the very next morning. Because United delivered us to Anchorage so late, we had to spend so much money on the hotel and next day flights. Until this point I have always been happy with United but I don't think we can go with United anymore after this."

The attendants said / not our problem. I called United's Customer Service number to discuss ways of mediating the delay that resulted in us missing the wedding venue and entire reason we booked the $1400 flight. I again got a "not my problem" response- no the flights can be modified, no we will not provide vouchers, no we really don't care that our poor quality and service cost you and your family tremendously in time, effort, and lost memories. I know we are at the mercy of airlines, but what a painful disappointment. My experience with Delta has been better and I suggest avoiding United Airlines if other flight options exist.... Even consider a very long drive over the use of the airline."

PLEASE permit us to turn it off. The constant repeating of the Dish commercials while in dead air space is so annoying I will never consider Dish as a provider.! Please play more than one entertaining video than repeating the one about alligators (crocodiles?)."
