Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."

Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

Entertainment systems had contrast issues and it seemed like a lot of people 8 - 10 had issues since they were using iPads instead of the built in monitors. A lot of wear showing on the entertainment systems remotes."

The problem is your greedy Chinese luggage handling thieves who work for your airlines in Chinese airports. Whenever they can steal from luggage, they always try to steal from passengers, particularly American. I have had multiple experiences with theft from Chinese airports. I have been to China and back to the USA five times. Many times, items have disappeared from my suitcases in Chinese airports. That is why I decided not to move to China to live but instead move to Indonesia. However, if I fly any plane that transfers my luggage in China, I can usually expect to have my luggage robbed. Although this time, nothing was missing from my luggage, that fact that your people had to wrap my suitcase in plastic (because they did not know the secret for relatching it) and resend it a day later, that is proof that one of your airport personnel opened it to see what he could steal and then got caught because he could not close it again. I am really really really tired of you Chinese thieves. I blame all of you because you are all a product of Mao Tse Tung’s godless atheistic evil society. The Chinese have proven to me again and again that they cannot be trusted. A Kong Chinese official even stole my Ohio driver’s license when I transferred through that airport on a previous trip to Jakarta. I understand your problem. If you fire all dishonest luggage department workers, you will not have any workers remaining. That is why you will always rank as a third world backward primitive society even though you buy expensive airplanes that you don’t build and dress your people up like professionals which they aren’t. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

The economy got their bags before 1st and business."

Not enough legroom to move much during the flight and not enough aisle space to get around with the plane so full. Have made flights twice as long on the 747 and were able to get up and walk."

Cons: "The boarding process was so extensive and repetitive. We were taken to the plane in the middle of the tarmac in sweltering heat and had to stand outside and wait to board the plane. The heat once inside the plane was unbearable and uncomfortable. My seat didn't recline, so I wasn't able to fully relax. Although I can for the crew, English may not be their first language. It needs to be ensured that the English of the crew member making the announcements is understandable. There were so many announcements but the English was rendered unintelligible for the most part. One of the baggage for one of my family members was not there on our arrival but we've since been notified that it has been found and well be sent to us"

My whole rows TVs didn’t work and no one helped us or cared (contrasted to Singapore Airlines which actually cared when a similar issue happened). Customs forms were all in French even though we were flying into JFK. Awful airlines."

Cons: "After arriving to Malaga airport to go home at the business class check in desk we were informed that the flight from Casablanca to jfk was canceled so they won’t let us on the Malaga Casablanca flight. I was very surprised as I didn’t get any alerts and I called the airline and everything seems to be on time and not canceled. We went to customer service of air moroc and after hour long investigation we found that that the flight wasn’t canceled but the airline didn’t want us in Casablanca to get on that flight because they gave our business class seats to other people. we called and complained but there was nothing we could do because we were blocked from flying and they wouldn’t board us. The computer system didn’t allow them. We asked if we were on the flight the next day and they couldn’t confirm. We were told that in 3 days we could get on a flight back to nyc. We bought separate last minute super expensive tickets from another airline and left that evening to Madrid, got a hotel there and left the next morning to Atlanta and then jfk. No one from the airline wanna help us and rebook the tickets. People over the phone were contradicting people at the Malaga airport. It was a nightmare."

On our return connecting flight between Casablanca and JFK we had to go through three separate security checks despite the fact that we had already gone through security in Barcelona. Cons: "I wish we were given more information regarding the on boarding process to get back to the US. I was not informed about the extensive level of security checks we would experience. I also was not informed regarding the various electronics that were prohibited. It would have been very helpful to know in advance so that I could plan it out accordingly. Since it seemed no one was informed, the security check and on boarding took almost an hour and a half to go through. I was very surprised at the lack of communication and would appreciate that for future trips. At this time, I would think twice before booking another trip with this company."

Minutes after being reseated at the gate, the attendants suddenly announced everyone as boarding so everyone rushed to get their tickets scanned without instructions as to which rows or classes. Passengers were placed in a shuttle bus which was stalled for several minutes and once dropped off at the tarmac, there was only one attendant rechecking passports and seat tickets at the stairs leading up to the aircraft which led to more bottleneck and pushing."

Their careless behavior was rude and unacceptable. How can u let 5 people go hungry for 7 hours? The bathrooms were so dirty and smelled! There was urine on the floor and I heard many passengers mention it to them, they still didn't clean it. It definitely the last time I fly Royal Air Maroc. It saddens me to not use the local airline. Especially since I'm born in that Country. I, sadly can not recommand this airline to anyone who eats Kosher."

Later, in Casablanca when I asked to change seats so I would have an aisle seat, I was told that I should have done so in Marrakesh. Very frustrating experience!! Also had to go through extra security, checking luggage and body by hand and waiting at doorway for bus for almost an hour with NO explanation by crew as to the reason for the delay! It would have been appropriate as well as comforting to have our questions and concerns acknowledged at that time, but no one addressed or even appologized to the passengers for the hour long delay."
