A couple of the crew members were disrespectful, combative, whining about other passengers and definitely needed to be trained in customer service.
Chicken/pasta was bland and not cooked well, pairing of the food was terrible, in fact they even had the wrong condiments - they gave butter with the omelette but no bread. In that case, instead of butter, ketchup would have made sense.
The music section of entertainment had one song in each genre. Poor touch screen, no pullout remote and not the best selection/ not properly organized.
Overall, I would say, United needs to learn from their peers - middle eastern and asian airlines about service, food and process. The only thing going for them is the direct connectivity
Food was okay.
On demand entertainment system was okay with good choice of hindi movies but not much English options.
Check in was horrible, i spent 2 hours just for check in process.
Unnecessary arguments by check in staff on cabin luggage bag size, the same bag that all other airlines allow.
No initiative taken by air india staff to speed up immigration process, security particularly when almost everyone spent 2hr.for check in. Almost all the passengers were in panic mode due to the delay and the only thing air india staff did was to say 'rush to the gate'.
No separate lines for Web check in. ..
Seat was horrible. Absolutely no cushion. I had to use 4 pillows to save my bums.
Only 2 meals were served in 17 hr flight. .. snacks, water juice were available but only 'self service' basis in pantry area which was crowded most of the times. Not even water, juice were served. ...not even once.
I don't want to say anything about air hostess...they do abig favor on us by letting us enter the aircraft.
Overhead bins for economy + are placed elsewhere. Preselected meal not available and was delayed in serving the alternative for 20 mins. Entertainment options include TV shows with 1 episode to pad the numbers
Food was not as expected and the choice of food during bookings selected was not available in flight. Even food for the kids same as adults but airlines website showings multiple choices . If it's not as per choice then why provide the selection?
Air India flight AI 191 from Mumbai to New York, air hostess is so arrogant, i dont know her name. She was attending left section of the flight (date Nov 30th 2015). She was litterally shouting at passingers. I just hate to travel gain in Air India
the crew was ok and the food was ok. It wasn't hot and I got a blanket.
the movie selection was pretty bad, maybe because I had watched two on the flight before. My head set also did not work properly and I had to keep pushing it up ever so slightly to hear the vocies, because of this I had to try and keep using the touch screen to rewind and hear missed parts. I usually just gave up cause my touch screen barely worked. Once we landed we were told all out baggage didn't make it on, after my previous flight with Air Indai I figured mine had not made it. After watching the baggage man threw bags around in baggage clams I'm kind of relived mine did not come. Air Inda has not responded to my email about this after I talked to a representative in the airport. I have priceless things from my trip in that bag and just want to know they know where it is!
